| said: It was my first visit to this hotel, after many holidays at a gold. The food was excellent with a variety to suite everybody. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels delivered daily. The rooms were very basic but clean. Staff at the hotel was very friendly. The only down side to this hotel was not enough sun beds around the pool area although it is only a ten minute walk to the beach both ways.
I will definetly visit this hotel again as me and my husband enjoyed very much.

| said: After reading the good reviews on this hotel I was sure it was going to be fantastic, it wasn't it was okay. Dissapointed with the room, small bathroom, small balcony, the furnishings weren't up to much. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we looked out onto some sort of car park. The food was excellent but the cleanliness of the cutlery left a lot to be desired. Hotel staff were very friendly. The location of this hotel is quite good for both beaches. This hotel is worthy of it's 3* but nothing more. If you want to chill out without the kids and don't want to splash the cash then this hotel is for you.

| said: This is a lovely hotel. Rooms are nicely furnished. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. There is lots of choice at meal times and the food quality is very good.
We had a superior room and, although it costs extra, you should do the same if you go to this hotel. These rooms have a hugewalled balcony - at least 11 ft deep, sunbeds and parasol and the most fantastic sea views! You could while away many afternoons on your balcony! These rooms are probably the best thing about this hotel. These rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities with a hospitality tray that is regularly replenished.
The grounds of this hotel are a little small and it is quite a way from the beach, although close to the sea!! But if you want to be looked after, without breaking the bank, then definitely go to this hotel.

We had a superior room on the fifth floor. This gave wonderful views over the sea and hills of Es Cana. With our own terrace and sun loungers, it was lovely to sit and relax in the afternoon sun.
The food is plentiful and varied, with something for everyone. One word of warning. Please take clothes that expand, as after two weeks we have put weight on. The food is just so delicious.
This was our first time to this hotel, but it will not be our last. The hotel got a Gold Medal award this year and rightly so.
If your looking for a hotel that has that personal touch, then this is the hotel for you.

| said: The hotel is very clean. All the staff very good and friendly. The food was excellent with a very wide choice, (Even "real" English bacon !)
The only reason we would not return to this hotel is that it is too small for the number of guests.
The dining room is too small, with people usually having to wait for a table to be vacated.
The pool area is far too small, with only about 30 sunbeds packed into a very small area. These were all usually reserved by the time we got down to breakfast. This meant that we had to pay for beds on the beach or at the nearby pool at the Zodiac Apartments. An uneccessary and unexpected expense.

We would certainly visit the hotel again. We could not single out one person as being special, but Juan is the life and soul of the place. Everyone always has a smile on their face. We went to a Thomson Gold last year, but I would say that this hotel was even better than that.

| said: We stayed at the Paraiso beach for a fortnight in September. All the staff work so hard and are always cheerful. Our room and the public areas of the hotel were always spotlessly clean. The food was generally of a good standard with something for everyone. One lady in our last week had dietary requirements and they cooked her special food. One night we were greeted at the door to the restaurant with a glass of champagne for gala dinner. The entertainment was a mix of singers (good), dancing (good), drag act (bad).
It might have been the time of year but the pool area didn't get a lot of sun and the superior rooms on the first floor with terraces probably didn't get any.
All in all a good holiday and would stay at this hotel in the future.

| said: it might be just me but I'm going to buck the trend and say that when we sayed here I found this hotel poor after all the positive reports, on arrival infomed we would be upgraded, to what, a tiny room with no dressing table, a tv that did'nt work for the full week, a shower cubicle that was the smallest I've ever encountered, room so small the cases had to be kept in the bathroom, huge balcony with 2 loungers and a parasol, but a table and 2 chairs in the bedroom which prevented the door opening fully, reception area and staff perfect, maid left the door to our bedroom open one day, still open when we returned after 6pm, food bland, dishes not washed properly, morning cook couldnt even fry eggs, forget about dressing for dinner anything goes, tee shirts, flip flops and shorts, when we were there towels were on the few sunbeds beside the small pool before 8am, spent our time at the beach 5 mins away, I felt that this hotel needed more staff, slow to clear tables , slow to serve drinks, not because the staff are lazy, there are not enough of them, when they have days off.

| said: We returned from Es Cana on 27.6.07 after a one week stay. We totally agree with all the positive comments listed on this site as this hotel is a fantastic prospect for anyone going to Es Cana.
The hotel is very new, immaculately clean and maintained, relaxed ,modern and not too large allowing for a more intimate personable stay.
The rooms are well laid out and of an very high standard. We booked a superior room which was on the first floor overlooking the poolside area. With this we seemed to gain an extended balcony that jutted out further than the levels above us. This was great for getting the morning sun, but had totally disappeared by midday.
The real bonus in this hotel was the people running it and working there. They were perhaps the best staff we have ever encountered on this kind of holiday. They were extremely friendly, always helpful and obviously loving what they did. Of particular note are the restaurant manager Juan Antonio, the barman (can't remember his name but he was always grinning!) and Jaqueline (the Scottish lady)who worked days on reception.
In summary this hotel is virtually faultless and could easily put to shame some Thomson Gold Hotels on a smaller scale.
The resort of Es Cana is small but pleasant. On the first day we were there it took us about fifteen minutes to see all it had and we were a bit worried about filling in evenings in such a small place.
Actually the resort opens up a lot more at night and there are a small variety of decent drinking and entertainment bars in the resort.
In our opinion the food offered in the resort was a bit average. Nonetheless we had a great time and would consider going back again --- BUT only in this hotel!

Could not fault this hotel. The singing waiter Juanma, Juan Ant with his famous cocktails and his humour. The chefs were very good. The reception staff again excellent. The cleaning staff cannot be faulted.
Lukas (the director general of the hotel) thank you for one of the best holidays we have ever had. The hotel is a tribute to you and your family.
We will be back, as will most the friends we made out there.

Upgrade to air con is a must on arrival which works out to about £50 a week in our money or they will let you have a fan for 10 euros a week which is what I went for but next time I would go with air con.
Hotel is only about 150-200 metres from sea.
Resort itself is very nice and clean as for the sea it was full of reeds and jelly fish so be aware we did in the week visit Playa den Bossa which as a great beech no jelly fish and reeds that I could see.

| said: We booked this hotel late and weren`t sure what to expect as it was not in any brochures and there was very little information available.
What we discovered was quite simply one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The hotel was spotlessly clean from top to bottom with the rooms being cleaned every day. Although our room did not have air-conditioning we could have upgraded for around 50 euros but as we were on a tight budget settled for a fan supplied for 10 euros.
Although the pool area was small we were always able to find our 4 sunbeds together with the added bonus of cushions on them!
The food was similar to what we have found in other spanish hotels but was varied each night as well as having a chef on hand in the dining area cooking fresh meat and fish on request and frying each egg to your taste at breakfast, a nice touch.
What really sets this hotel apart however is the staff. From the moment Carlos brought us our welcome drink on arrival to our last meal in the restuarant before departing, they could not do enough for us. Everybody was so friendly and helpful particularly the restaurant and bar staff with Jaunma the waiter laughing and joking with us all week.
The entertainment we saw was good with an excellant live duo and a singing waiter! Juanan`s bingo and quiz night was also very entertaining!!!
Everything added up to a relaxing, chilled out holiday in superb surroundings. With plans to expand the pool area next year as well as putting air-con in every room I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff are excellent and very helpful.
Our room was air conditioned. However our friends wasn't. It cost 70 Euros to upgrade to an air conditioned room which I would highly advise.
All sun loungers had cushions and this is the first holiday where I haven't had to get up early to reserve beds. We strolled down at 1pm and still managed to get 4 loungers together.
The hotel is new and everything is clean and spotless. x

| said: The hotel was excellent, had only been open for just under a month when we arrived so everything very new. The staff were brilliant, very attentive. Cleaning was done every day. I would recommend upgrading to a airconditioned room before you travel as it can be a bit stifling without and the bathrooms are larger in the upgraded rooms, we did this and from some of the comments by other guests I would say that we made the right choice. The location was excellent near to the hippy market & 5 mins walk to a beach in either direction.
The public areas were very spacious and the food was good, a lot of choice so should keep even finicky eaters happy, the chef would also cook recommendations if asked.

The food was delicous with plenty of choice, even the breakfasts where nice.As for the cleaniness of the hotel,it was spot on, the rooms where done every morning to an extremley high standerd as was the rest of the hotel.
The pool area was great with sun loungers that had matresses on. The staff where brilliant and couldnt have been more helpful. As for the entertainment it would be unfair for me to comment, as we only caught the first ten minutes of two blokes singing, but they didnt seem bad, and there was some thing on everynight and not stuff like parrot shows.
One thing they didnt cater for kids which suited us fine, but if you were to take a young family you could be disappointed.
