| said: what can you say about seaside well it was my first hoilday and i loved it..apart from I broke my arm out there sliped on wet floor but ok dont blame people who run it they was all great about it giving us discounts on everything even free shots lol... loved all the bar staff micheal and mick was great and the people who ran it. Always cleaned the room every morning even though sometimes we didnt want it coz we was to hung over.. not really a place to take your kids the night life out there was great worth the 15min walk deffo.. meet some great people out there as well would love to go back next year but probably go some where different.. thanks for every thing. seaside hope you remember us.. some people are to fussy on this site and just like to moan but not us it was great love you seaside xxx

I hate to tell you this but its the worst holiday I’ve ever had... Akrogiali is actually called seaside apartments. Olympic changed there name on the website to akrogiali as that’s Greek for seaside.. If you google search seaside apartments kavos it has so many bad reviews that’s why Olympic have tried changing the name hence nothing coming up for akrogiali. It’s a block of around 32 rooms with a pool by them its run by a English loud woman and her Greek husband. They treated us like something they had scrapped off there shoe. The apartments where not fit for a dog, so dirty and smelly. Rust round the taps the bathroom was decorated in 1940s and mould everywhere. Red ants and bugs everywhere. One tiny shower which leaked and a toilet that didn’t flush in fact we had to wash the soil down by hand with a red bowl they supplied. No linen or towel change all week. The maids forgot to change the bin by the toilet where you put the paper so it smelt.. This hotel is supposed to be 2 star more like -10 star its so poor. We had to buy our own toilet rolls only one supplied to last the week! The room was very hot but air conditioning is 50 euros a week , it was too noisy to have the doors open at night loud music and partying larger louts till 5 in the morning so be prepared for sleepless week. Kavos as full of 16 year olds looking for one thing only !!, racing motorbikes and quad bikes round the hotel like a race track. Every time we complained to the owners the owner was very confrontational she bit our heads off, very mouthy and loud, and her husband was rude blamed it on his little understanding of English but he understood well enough if it meant taking money from us at the poolside bar.. 500ml bottle of water at poolside bar was 2 euros 1.5 LITRES at the supermarket across the road was 80cents but Karen ripped into us when we were drinking it by the pool one day said some rubbish about it being illegal for us to drink bottled water by there pool as the tax men would fine her, its just because we were not giving her our money.. The apartments were disgusting the rep did nothing but fob us off all week kept telling us he understood all our problems blah blah the doing a runner promising us to get things sorted and see us later then kept hiding away. 6 other people in the apartments were all complaining about similar things and are going to send of videos and photos etc of this place. It’s a disgrace they've changed the name for the booking and website. Kavos main town is 15 min walk from this place that’s why we booked it thinking it would be quiet but it was horrible. What a dump. Be very aware of the owners once we off loaded the problems they then tried telling us they don’t won the apartments and the man that does is a way. Thompson used to fill this apartment so did Libra but now its run with Olympic holidays ask yourself why the other two holiday companies have dropped this stinker off there books. Olympic were not the best of companies on resort we were not told about the welcome meeting so didn’t know vital things we needed to know about on the holiday, the transfers on the coach had no air con I was so hot I felt faint and sick, and all the reps did to and from the airport was bicker about complaining customers and there mate reps who smacked guests etc, what a shambles. I could go on but it ruined our holiday never again. Holiday from hell.

| said: worst thing about the seaside studios was the staff, the maid took 5 euros one night and 10 euros another, seemed like a pattern. She also forgot to change our bathroom bin, so after 3 days of putting your toilet paper in the bin in the greek heat, it stunk. The owner of the hotel didn't have the time of day for you, burnt the food and was very rude. we had to find our room ourselves, which was hard seen as there was no number on our door. You get one toilet paper roll for your stay, the rest you have to provide yourself. Only 3 rooms have balconys, count yourself lucky if you get one! No change of towels or sheets all week and the sheets were so old and thin you could almost see through them. Lizards and ants were found on a daily basis. A 15 min walk from the centre of kavos (absolutely amazing), shame about the state of seaside apartments, no wonder thompson stopped giving them business!

| said: Self catering but you wouldnt self cater in these apartments dirty smelt of urine, infested with red ants and mice.
Hotel rooms never seen bleach.
Location of the hotel was good although right next to a busy road which was very dangerous no pavements
Hotel staff were friendly but didnt care about upkeep of place or the fact there were 3 break ins while we were there.
I would definitely not visit this hotel again unless i had severe amnesia.

| said: I loved the Sea Side Hotels. They are basic but this can be expected in Greece. The Pool Bars serve fantastic food or there is also a sea front restaurant. The Beach is a 30 second walk away and couldn't be nicer. Make Sure you say hi to Karen and Billy who own and run the hotel. There fantastic and made our holiday.
Kavos and Bar Street is about a 10 minute walk away which is perfect as you can get a quiet night to recover. Its also really funny walking home at night/morning.
Would definately go back and visit again.

| said: First impressions were good, basic but clean.
Sheets could have been changed at least once during the week. Also towels, the location was fantastic because it was out of town and quiet but only a 10 min walk into all the action.
The staff were always friendly and took time to ask about your plans for the day.
No entertainment on site but that was fine, a very relaxing and calm place to be unless you want it to be wild then hit Kavos.
Great bars in Kavos good for a laugh and a real good mix and not at all sleazy, yes I would go again.

| said: After arriving here in the early hours of the morning we were glad to rest down our heads and get some much needed sleep. When we woke up in the morning we were shocked with the size of our room and the facilities inside. We asked a rep to change our room which he did very quickly and was happy to do so.
So our next room being about 3 times the size we decided to get on with our holiday. That morning we walked in to Kavos and I have never been so scared in my life! At one point there was three vehicles abreast coming in our direction to which me and my girlfriend had to jump off the road to avoid getting killed!
Kavos is a pleasant small town with plenty of gift shops. The night life is obviously far better in the middle of summer but we still had fun even though half the pubs and clubs had shut down.
After one night out we came back to our room to find Ants, yes Ants, all over our floor.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
The self catering rooms are not up to scratch and very noisy.
The pools are adequate and the bars are cheap and good fun.
The staff at the supermarket next door are the nicest people you will meet.

From the minute we got there the holiday started off great. We were greeted by the lovely Jo who showed us to our rooms, neat, tidy, and everything you needed. Didn't get there till 3.30am but the bar was still open which was nice to see (doesn't shut till last person leaves!!).
First morning appearances were still the same. Good atmosphere around the pool clean tidy and lively.
We managed breakfast I think 3 times out of seven but the food was ok when we did.
Location of the hotel was really good, 6 euro taxi to town (which isn't bad between 4)or a 10/15 min walk to town centre.
Staff were awesome too, always had time to talk and have a laugh even if they were busy. Bar staff were cracking, really funny. We'd all definitely visit seaside again, great place and people. Nice one Zoe, Pops and Jo

| said: First of all hi to everyone at the seaside Esp Michael the barman and to the reps Zoe and Pops they made our holiday.
We have just came back and didn't know what to expect but I'd def go back to these apartments again.
Chris in the restaurant was a top guy too, nothing was a problem to any of the staff.
The rooms are basic but just what you need to get ready in and sleep.
Pool area is great you do have to pay 1 euro a day for the sunbed but some days you get away with it. It's better being round the pool than the beach it is true what people say it's not very nice, full of seaweed.

The holiday was good the resort was cheap and cheerful what more can you expect when on self catering holiday.
The hotel cleanliness was good there was no rubbish or broken glass around yes the beach had seaweed but thats the sea for you.
The location was great 10 min walk in to Kavos town just in the right spot to enjoy best of both if you wanted noise you could walking in to town and if you wanted a quiet night you already had it.
The staff were great very helpful pleasant and polite
we ate in the restaurant a few times and the staff was great and the cleaner was great no probs there.
Entertainment was a bit rubbish seeing as there was none apart from music from bar and pool tables, but saying that being so close to Kavos you dont really need entertainment.
Yes we would visit again because we found nothing really wrong, as you get what you pay for.
Yes we had a problem on last day but that is getting taken up with head office of Thomson by letter nothing to do with resort.

| said: When we arrived at the Seaside resort in Kavos, I was amazed how dingy and dirty this was compared to other resorts we had visited in previous years. But what I can say is how friendly the resort was and how Zoe and Pops made us feel welcome.
I found the resort very expensive, esp the drinks in th4e bars, Smirnoff Ice was 5 euros (£4.20) and we also seamed to be constantly paying our for sunbed hire each time we used the pool in the hotel.
The cleanliness was very poor with the sheets never changed in the seven days. The food was very poor, lacking in any flavour and again some places very expensive. Entertainment again was limited to Night clubs, bars and Only fools and Horses.
We also had a flood in our room after a night of extreme weather and power cuts.
Theos boat trip is a must, but make sure you take some money with you as drinks on board are expensive and again sunbeds need to be hired at 3 euros each.
There was a theft from a number of balconies where expensive items were stollen, and the reps seamed to avoid and responcibility and avoided in any assistance to supply information. We were told not to bother reporting this to the police, as we would be spending the whole day at the police station.
The convict night was excellent, but the bars where we had to go to get out ticket stamped, seam ed to increase there prices. What a rip off. I perosnally would avoid Corfu again as I felt the Spain and other med countries was a better value for money!

| said: Well when we first arrived at the seaside, we thought we got off on the wrong stop, was hoping we did to.
Its not even an hotel it a shabby block of rooms. We had to carry our lugguage by our selfs up a block of concrete stairs. As we got outside our room a red barge pole landed on the floor. Very scary!
You have to pay for your own air-con. You have to pay for your own safety deposit box, basically in sea side you pay for eveything. You get 2 reps, and if you dont buy the package deal they dont want anything to do with you.
Dont buy it its a rip off. Theos boat trip is a MUST, very good trip.

Rooms were basic and quite clean, food was good for snacks and things.
Wasn't too far from the main bars and clubs bout 10mins walk a taxi is always optional.
Staff were wicked and the reps made my holiday the best with all the entertainment.
I'd definately go again not sure my fella would let me tho as i had such a wicked week with my mate.

We managed to meet loads of people as everyone was friendly and managed to make some good friends who we will be keeping in touch with.
The reps Zoe and Pops are brilliant and we all even went out on a night out with them whin they had the night off.
One bit of advice though, take plenty of cash it costs £95 to do all of the trips and stuff so make sure you take a lot if you like to go and get drunk.
Definately want to come back sometime this year like September for 10 nights this time, 7 just isn't enough.
Anyway the best by far and have never enjoyed ourselves as much as we have last week.

| said: My best friend and I arrived back from the Seaside yesterday.
I have travelled to over 20 diferent countries and done every type of holiday imaginable. This was by far the best.
Freestyle is perfect for those people looking for a holiday that has lots to offer and you will never be bored. Unlike 18-30s it allows you the freedom to go it alone and not go on any of the freestyle trips. The Holiday reps at the hotel, Pops and Zoe are great fun and make you feel very welcome. We were never left out and every day was a new adventure.
The Reps are stunning and if you are a girl, then you cant help but fall in love with Jon, Chris, Kev, Steve, Chris 2 and Pops and if you are a boy then look out for Zoe,Katie, and the others.
I have enjoyed it so much I have booked again for september and am going with friends I made at the seaside. The rooms are clean, basic, and safe.You cant ask anymore for the price you pay.
The staff will help you in any way possible and the bar men are so friendly you could go on your own and never be lonely. If you are going out there soon say Hi to Micheal he works behind the bar from 10pm til 4am.
Go on all of the freestyle trips but dont bother paying for the bar crawl you pay for nothing, just join in like our friends did. Havoc at Hacienda is the funniest night.
Whatever you do dont miss out on the convict night it is unbelievable. 10 of us ended up hiding on a building site. I won that night.

| said: Me and my friends just came back from seaside last week and we all loved every second of it, the reps pops and Zoe were a great laugh Mick the bar man was sound to, the rooms wasnt five star but what do you expect on a free style hoilday!
We left our rooms a right mess and every day we would get back and they were spotless, we couldnt say one bad thing about it and cant wait to go back in speptember!!!!!!!

| said: Rooms very basic, mosquito infeasted, cleaner intent on opening windows constantly when we were out, from 11pm onwards very noisey, loud music, corridors were litter ridden, several used tampax found lying about.

| said: This place is disgusting the toilet is in the shower and neither was cleaned for the duration. The sheets/bedding was'nt changed during the week and the unlockable doors had a 3 inch gap underneath to allow every wasp and mosquito into the box room.
The breakfast was a fried egg, value beans and two budget sausages floating in a plate of grease we just had toast!
The location 1/2mile from Kavos was good but the beach a disgusting heap of rotten seaweed, used condoms and broken bottles

| said: The room wasn't totally up to scratch, the drains were bad, room flooded 3 inch of water just after a wash.
The reps were absolute rubbish, not there to help only to pull and get drunk no help at all!
The hotel bar staff were absolutely brilliant! Mick , Julius and Helen we salute you! They made our holiday!
Theos boat, Aqua land and the Jailbreak were great fun, definitely worth doing!
One tip is get a safety deposit box because the cleaners come in, don't clean just open all windows and doors! But overall we had a fantastic time and we'll be back next year!

| said: The cleanliness was generally satisfactory, we received maid service every week day during our stay. We were just a little dissapointed that only the top sheets were changed but not the bottom!!! We couldn't understand why people have been complaining about the smell because there was just none.
The location was excellent, it was a good distance from town as close enough for nightlife but away from noise so you can actually sleep if you want to!!! The beach was a good distance & is called the seaside taverna for a reason!!! Enjoyed all the entertainement provided through reps, but dissapointed by greek night run by hotel.
We cannot praise the reps enough, we found them fuuny, well organised & pretty fit!! Cheers Matt, Pops & Jon. We totally recommend Theo's boat trip & found the convict night a must (you will understand if you go!). Overall the best holiday we've ever had & will be back in a couple of years.

We did eat at the hotel and the food was nice. the hotel could have a bit closer to the main strip but it was a laugh walking home drunk. The staff at the hotel were brill they were all very helpfull and friendly. There were plenty of trips you could go on. the only bad thing was when i went to the water park the boat topled over and i got knockrd out with a black eye!! i would definetly come to this hotel again.

| said: Wasn’t the cleanest of hotels with our rooms only tidied once per week as well as new towels etc.
Location was ideal as the hotel isn’t bang in the center of the nightlife, it is a ten minute walk away, so you can have a quite night if you’re not up to it!!
The bar staff where excellent, especially Mick, who wasn’t shy getting us a few sneaky shots, top man!!
Nothing was put on entertainment wise when I was there but we amused ourselves without any problems!! I'll be back once I’ve visited the other party capitals!!
P.s Don’t walk alone to the nightlife from this hotel because the locals are known drive past on scooters and hit you with a bottle. Don’t hire scooters either!! 9 out of 12 of us got ripped off!!
