we stayed at the madara for 14 nights,on an all inclusive basis . the food was reasonable but don"t expect an english menu as this is an international hotel. this is possibly the cleanest hotel we"ve stayed at (the housekeepiing staff deserve a medal). All of the bar staff were brilliant , especially Marian & Goran. 10 minute walk from beach, loads of bars shops and stalls on the way. Nessebar is worth a visit as is the forest fiesta. Water park is a ten minute walk away.

we stayed here for 2weeks on arrivel you get your wrist band (if this comes off you can replace it free of charge) reception dont speak that good of english but they wil do anything for you. rooms quite spacious 2single beds pushed together and one fold out chair which is a single bed. cleaners came everyday with clean towels and bedding. safe deposits are 50lev for 2 weeks you have a digital one in your room or you can use behind the reception for the same price. food in the hotel not really catered towards children tho they didnt starve we ate out once for a change as the food was more or less the same with different sauces on. if you are all inclusive please beware that your diet soft drinks are not free which we found a problem as there was a diabetic with us pizza and cakes pancakes and ice cream are the main snack in between meals. they did have a kids club but they did cater more for germans tho gabby and the male worker (nicky) did work hard with the english
children trying to include them in things kids disco all in german the pool party was quite good. the pool area was tidy and clean be careful as it was a bit slippery on the tiles indoor pool is good for when it was raining. the only incident that did happen to us is one evening my mum went to bed early as she was unwell we had all gone out someone went into the room whilst she was asleep turned on the light she asked who it was turned the light back off and shut the door which did scare my mum when this was reported to the hotel manager they tried to make out that my mum was mad and it can not have happened but you no when someone has turned on a light or not now when we first arrived an english guy was saying he had some money stolen from the safe not sure how true this is. the rep gemma was good in helping us got a print out of when the door was open and shut as it is electronically watched when your door is open and shut and they tried to say the door was open from the inside which was impossible unless someone was already in the room the only bad thing is that the key you swipe over the electronis pad shows when your in or out which isnt good for people trying to get in your room but the reason is does this is in case there is a fire the rep told us. try the a la carte is very nice a the best food in 2weeks we did this for a birthday and ordered a birthday cake which was 15lev

Very clean hotel. Food was ok, always a choice except breakfast - lots of frankfurters! But you could have an omelette cooked for you. If you like puddings this is not the place for you - there were plenty of cakes and biscuits though! Pool area was really slippy and dangerous - make sure you wear flipflops when walking round it! Rooms were spotlessly clean and well air conditioned. The hotel would be really improved if they made a bigger seating area for the all inclusive bar.

We were very surspised at standards of hotel recent refurb. Very clean, an army of staff night & day nothing was too much trouble.

Nice pool area but be warned VERY slippery around pool all incl drinks took bit of getting used to as did the way the Germans don't know how to queue at bar.

The food was varied and interesting but not nesessarily appetising but plenty of places nearby to try and very reasonably priced.

Kids club was good fun my 2 enjoyed itthe staff spoke German, Bulgarian then translated English be patient they worked v hard too include british kids.

Would we return yes but maybe not all incl. Next time.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks it is clean but not as I would expect them to clean it,

The staff are nice and kind but some can be morbid. There is a bit of entertainment but not much.

The swimming pool is ok but for the amount of people that go around it you need to be up early to get a chair otherwise you will be lying on the grass.

We stayed in the Madara hotel a couple of years ago before it was upgraded. At that time it was one of the older style hotels and had no swimming pool though the hotel has been completely renovated and now has a swimming pool. We used the Havana Outdoor Pool a couple of minutes walk away.

The Madara is located at the back of the resort, next to the Perla and a few minutes walk from Bonkers etc. It is also within walking distance of the Aquapolis Water Park. The mini train stops right at the door.

The location is very nice, fairly quiet, but within easy reach of the beach and all other facilities. Cannot comment on the standards now as we havent stayed there since renovation.
