| said: Stayed for 4 nights in March.
I had a studio room with twin beds, room 6d overlooking 49th street. The room had a small kitchenette (cooker, fridge & microwave) with pans and crockery for 2 people, tea and coffee were provided but take your own teabags as Lipton Tea isn't too tasty.
There was a small table with two chairs. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a bath and shower and hairdryer. The towels were changed everyday.
There was an ironing board and iron in the room.
The apartment was kept very clean. The staff were good and quick to react when there was a problem.
The area was noisy but not as bad as I had expected as it was just far enough away from the main Times Square area. There are subway stations within easy reach.
Good value in an expensive(for accomodation) city.

| said: We stayed for 5 nights 10th to 15th of May in a studio apartment – 7B. I liked this one as it had dual aspect windows.
The room was a decent size, perfectly formed and has everything you need for a short stay. It’s quite basic but to be honest you really only want somewhere to shower and sleep and it’s spotlessly clean.
The bathroom however was really quite small and the water pressure poor but again it’s clean and there are fresh towels every day.
The location is the main reason you’d stay here – it’s perfect for a first visit. You are minutes away from Times Square, Fifth Ave and the Rockefeller Centre.
The location is also, it has to be said, quite noisy but if like me you travel with earplugs, you soon get used to it and it’s not a problem.
The only slight hiccup we had was the final morning we didn’t have any hot water (typically the one morning you want there to be!) so we had to make do with a kettle.
If you book early you can get a room for $155 and in NYC that’s a real bargain.
