| said: This hotel was fantastic, we stayed in the magellan sutera side, we had 2 beautiful rooms as we stayed at the hotel twice during our trip, the choice of food at the buffet restaurant was huge the only down side was that the food cards were only in malay so we quite often were guessing at what we were eating, they had plenty of other food outlets to choice from, the staff were very friendly and attentive they could not do enough for you, the swimming pools were lovely especially as you had the pool as a view from the sun loungers or turned around and had the south china sea to look at beautiful sunsets! we found that a bottle of beer or coctail were about £3.00 which is reasonable, they have a free shuttle bus to kota kinabalu every hour which takes 15 minutes, they have a little magellan club for children, and a activities area where you can go everyday and their is a member of staff to tell you what is going on that day, I did have a foot massage by the pool cost about £15 for 30 minutes well worth it! The only down side to the hotel is that because it is so open if they have a storm it limits where you can go as it soaks the tariks bar and if you walk around the harbour to the harbour sutera bars your going to get wet aswell! but that is only a very small gripe in an otherwise fantastic hotel.

If you want to be spoilt go there, fabulous hotel.
Food brilliant.
People superb.
Location absolutely fantastic.
Sunset like you will never see anywhere in the world.
The only down side I can fault is like most hotels the beer is expensive (£6 ) a pint although plenty of drinking palces in town 5 min away in taxi(£1.60).
Never been to same place twice, on this occasion really thinking about going back.
