rickt from dorset travelled to The Andaman with booked direct with hotel on a family holiday. There were 2 adults and 0 child(ren) in the party. The travel date was 04 2006
rated the The Andaman as follows: Cleanliness Location Staff Food Entertainment	said: The Andaman is on Lankawi Island at Datai Bay. From the time we arrive to the time we left we were treated as if we were the only people there, on booking in (which is done in a relaxed atmosphere whilst you are being served a greeting drink) the room we were upgraded to a sea view room without asking. The room was good with a large bathroom. The best thing about this hotel is its location on Datai Bay it has been built in the rain forest (along with all the sights and sounds) but is also only 50 Metres from a quiet white sandy beach. There was no pressure to tip during our stay (which makes a change as it seems to be compulsury at some places no matter what the service is like). The hotel also offers free nature walks of which we attended the evening one which was very interesting and lasted about 2 hours. Click here for more information on this hotel, resort and region
