Location
Approx. 1 mile from town centre, bus stop across road but infrequent service.

Resort Small town, lots of visitors.

Beach Four beautiful sandy beaches, sea goes long way out from flat beaches. Sea first class for surfing, so lots of surfers in town.

Transport There are other places to see by bus, coach or rail

Hotel

Reception – Welcoming newly decorated reception, medium sized

Bedrooms – Pay the extra for a sea-view room, they are a all round improvement on the standard room, in size, view, bathroom etc.

Food – Excellent 3 course meal and coffee/tea, we looked forward to our evening meal.

Pool – In course of re-construction

Suitable for
All, except those with walking difficulties.

Weather
Generally good

Summary
Thoroughly enjoyable stay, would go back

Resort- Newquay, Cornwall Country- UK
The Bay Hotel
Operator and date – Ryanair and Grand(UK) self drive August 2005
Submitted in February 2006, ages 65 & 60

Note – We found location of hotel to be favorable, by walking away from town to other side of peninsula we were able to take a ferry (or walk across at low tide) across a estuary, this had a marvelous beach for children, cliff top walks, a cafe both sides of estuary, then a ramble up to the village and then catch the bus back to Newquay. There are incidentally a few excellent mobile home and camping sites close to the sea.
