| said: We enjoyed staying here. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels supplied every other day. The meals were good with a nice choice. A great location with the Irish Center and the Prom; (great for strolling along after Dinner) was a short distance away. The staff were faultless. The hotel didn't have much entertainment but with so much going on a short stroll away you didn't need it. It was nice to get back after a night out and have a quiet drink there.

| said: We booked our holiday through First Choice with the impression that this was a great hotel to stay in if you want to relax and have a quiet holiday with bars and resturants near but not on your doorstep.
Will all I can say is that one thing was right! The bars and restruants were a short walk away. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a nasty, filty hovel in my whole life! We arrived in the hotel at around 2am and were there less then half an hour when a fight broke out on our floor as we were heading to our room. The lift was broken so we have to lug our cases up 5 floors and walk past the fight!
We finally got to our room to find that there was no double bed, which we had been told there would be and cockroach bodies all over the floor. The appartment had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. Very thing about the appartment was nasty and we were expected to cook there as it was self catering! We finally settled down to try and sleep and the room next door started playing music, when they finally turned it off at 5:30 the boys from the other room arrived home and put theirs on! We looked around in the morning light and found the neighbour peeing off the balcony and the pool area was even worse then ouir room! The next morning we found out that our quiet, relaxing hotel was actually and 18-30's one.
First Choice were very good and we were moved hotels the next day after some issues and an additional cost.
WARNING! FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WANT A 18-30'S HOLIDAY IN A HOVEL THEN I REALLY WOULD NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. TOTAL SCORE -10 OUT OF 10.

| said: This hotel is a complete dump! We stayed there for one week and our room wasn't cleaned once. We weren't given clean towels or bed sheets. I even had to ask at reception for toilet paper! Our bin was full and we were using carrier bags for our rubbish. The balcony was small and filthy. We saw cleaners in our block everyday but they seem to pick and choose whose room they wanted to clean.
The pool was a good size however nearly every sun bed was broken. Plus there is a main road running behind hotel that caused alot of noise when relaxing by the pool. We were very shocked to see a man cleaning the pool around 11 in the morning when children were playing in it!
The staff are rude and very unhelpful. They don't allow lilo's in the pool and shout this at guests in a rude manner.

| said: Los Salmones is in a perfect location right near all the centres and bars etc and not too far from the beach..... (except its also next to a busy motorway NOT very relaxing when you're on holiday) However, the location was the ONLY good thing about this hotel!!! The rooms were filthy and did not get cleaned at all the entire time we were there, the sheets were never changed (we even had to ask at reception for toilet paper!!) and there was a cockroach problem throughout the hotel. The shower was freezing cold every day and dribbled out, it was impossible to have a proper shower! The maids, bar staff and receptionists were rude and unhelpful. The pool was cold and dirty and lilos were banned (how ridiculous!)You couldn't get a sunbed by the pool unless you got up in the middle of the night and put a towel down, and they were all broken and uncomfortable anyway! I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!!!

| said: We Were extremely nervous about this hotel before we arrived because we'd read some bad things about it on the website. However when we got there we were very very pleseantly surprised. The apartment was spotless and yes there were a few TINY cockroaches but once we sprayed some cockroach spray on the doorjams they never came back! As for the entertainment! there were only 2 nights when there was no entertainment and even then there were plenty of pool tables and a fantastic snack bar. Our rom was cleaned nearly every day and the only bad thing was that the sheets weren't changed in the week we were there but I'd assume they woul dbe if you were there for longer. The locations good because its slightly away frm the other centres so you have nightlife but you also have some peace and quiet if you want it. All in all I'd def go back!

| said: My friend and I have just returned from the Los Salmones and I would definitely stay in these apartments again, before we left I read some reviews and was really worried but on arriving in Playa Del Ingles I was pleasantly suprised!
The accommodation was just what we wanted, reasonably priced, great location & clean! its within easy walking distance (we are girls and had high heels!!) to the pubs & clubs, the Irish centre is practically on the doorstep & Kasbah is just up the road.
The room was clean and tidy, the maids came in everyday to make beds & leave clean towels.
We saw 1 cochroach whilst we were there but we expected this as thats what happen when you go to their country!!
The beach was lovely and also just down the road, there are supermarkets within a stones throw also.
As we were self catering we only had food from the snack menu which was fine for the money.
All in all I had a fantastic holiday and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Los Salmones again!!

We got to know some of the reps Terry and Val who were lovely also and went out on a few nights out with them. The nightlife was good fun although not a lot of bars to choose from, but the Irish centre and brogans were great!
Beaches were beautiful and stretched for miles although you did get pestered by local men!
A really good holiday overall, I'd definitely go back!

We went to check on our other room a day later to find that it had been given to another family my husband walked in to find a family lounging around. We had to get another room from reception.
The towels were like dishrags with holes in them and the rooms were very musty and damp all in all we killed about 60 cockroaches in the one week, my son went to go into the bathroom one evening and there was a cockroach on the handle of the door.
It was hard to sleep in the room as I kept imaging cockroaches everywhere. The staff sprayed the room for us but the little blighters kept coming back this is a place we wont go back to if we got it for nothing.

| said: Me and my fiance stayed for a week in the Los Salmones hotel. We were slightly worried as we had read some not so good reviews!! However when we got there we were pleasantly surprised!
We requested a room not on the ground floor but were told by reception when we arrived that only ground floor rooms were available. When we got to our room our TV was missing and there was a dead cockroach on the floor! My fiance went to complain and they immediately moved us to another room - on the fifth floor!! (so much for no rooms left!)
This room was much better with a tidy sized balcony. The room was clean and the maids came every other day. The lift was very dodgy though! I used the stairs!!
The pool was massive and lilos were allowed in - maybe because it wasn't peak season. The weather was really nice.
The location of the hotel is brilliant. Nice walk to the beach and perfect for the nightlife.
Would definitely go back again!

| said: We stayed in Los Salmones in August 2005. We weren't there for an 18-30 holiday, but we were aware that other holidaymakers were staying at this hotel for this.
However, our room was pretty good, but a bit small-just right for two people, but no more. I stayed in someone else's room a few nights, and I could not believe the difference between our rooms! Her room had cockroaches crawling out from inside the sofa-loads of them! I'm not sure if that was just a one off room, because mine was really nice.
The pool was brilliant, it seemed the biggest out of the surrounding hotels, and it was really chilled out.
I found the bar staff to be friendly enough.
The food was ok, but not great.
The reception staff were quite helpful.
One major downer from this holiday, is the security guard....it was like being in an army boot camp when he was working!! He was like sergeant major. Not a nice man.
Location of hotel was brilliant, Irish centre, Kasbah and Yumbo centres are all very close, and are brilliant nights out.
I am definitely going to go to Los Salmones again.

Surprisingly the rooms weren't too bad. Was just what I was looking for because I wasn't in the room too much. Didn't get back to the apartment before 4am usually in and around the 8am mark so didn't notice any noise.
A lot of young groups just wanting to have a good hol and get drunk seem to come to this hotel.
Would recommend this hotel too young and lively groups def not families.
Going back to Playa Del Ingles this year as it is a fantastic resort. So much entertainment in the main centres i.e Irish and Kasbah.

| said: Spent two weeks in Los Salmones and would gave it an ok - the pool is big enough to have a good laugh in but make sure your a good swimmer before jumping in as I thought I saw the Titanic in one end of it, it was that deep!
Theres plenty of sun loungers around and you are sure to get a few, but if you want it around the pool you'll have to be down early.
The bar staff were nice enough, but at the front desk I thought they were a bit cheeky. The cleaners didnt really come to the rooms much, I think the room was cleaned twice in two weeks and the beds were never changed! Also at times we had to steal toilet roll as they never left enough!
The room is small enough and would be better suited for 2 people, cooking facilties were ok but you eat out most of the time anyway as theres plenty of cheap food places.
The place was loud and packed with drunken people through-out my 2 week stay - excatly what I wanted! I dont think I slept one night before 4 o'clock at least and even that was early!
One bad side was we had some money stole from the safe, but we still dont know how that happened??

We found the room quite small for 4 of us but it would be fine for 2 people. They were kept clean and the maid came most days. The kitchen facilities were adequate since we were only ever having snacks.
We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant so can't comment on that, but there were nice snacks through the day at the pool bar.
The pool was fairly big with lots of sun loungers, but just be sure to go down before 11ish when they start to get filled up.
The hotel is very noisy since about 90% of people there are on an 18-30s holiday but that didn't bother us too much since we were out most nights anyway, and didn't usually get back until early hours.
There wasn't really much entertainment at the apartments, there was karaoke most nights but you're so close to the Irish centre, you'd be as well go there!
I would without a doubt recommend these apartments to anyone going on a young and lively holiday.

The shower was hot when it wanted to be. The cleaners came in about twice in two weeks.
The whole hotel was very shabby there were youngsters in there early teens drunk and very noisy.
The pool was quite large but it was always full of louts drinking and smoking around the edge of the pool I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone.
How this was given a two star was beyond belief it should have been minus one.

| said: When staying at Los Salmones ealier this year we found the hotel very basic and if I am honest, a bit shabby. We had plugs hanging out of the walls, our shower was broken, all water was turned off for about 5 hours one afternoon and one day there was a water leak which seemed to run down the whole hotel block we were in with no staff trying to mend the problem!
I wouldnt recommend this place if like me, you don't enjoy 17yr olds who can't hold their drink and at 5.30am decide to scream, shout and generally be a pain in the backside off their balcony!
Apart from that the weather was lush and luckily due to the mass amount of sun loungers we were able to enjoy the hot temperatures around the pool.
The staff are friendly enough and enjoy a giggle...be warned though of dodgy Spanish music being played at the bar at top volume.

| said: This was a last minute break for us and for the price we paid I think we got a pretty good deal. The rooms are really small and balcony not big enough to sit and relax on. I thought as we were on a self catering holiday it was a bit of a cheek to be expected to hire a kettle which is surely a basic item for this type of holiday. Luckily I had read reviews prior to going and took a travel kettle.
There are four blocks in the complex with five floors in each block. In their day (probably about 20 years ago) they were great but are now a bit 'tired' and need some TLC. Beds were truely awful.
I found it to be extremely noisy with a main road running right past the complex and where people seemed to be driving 24/7.
One thing I can say about this hotel - it's clean. The cleaning staff do a brilliant job in the apartments.
Pool bar is a bit tatty but the staff there were pleasant.
A very nice winter get-away but I don't think either the hotel or the resort would be somewhere I would rush back to.

The rooms were basic but clean and were cleaned everyday by friendly staff.
The apartments are situated close to the beach about a 10 minute walk and close to lots of bars and clubs.
Not a very lively place but was lively enough for us as we had come to relax.
The entertainment at the hotel could have been a bit better with karakoe 2 nights and a drag night in the middle of the week, the rest of the time just music was played.
You cannot fault the staff all very friendly and made our stay enjoyable, especially the late nights sat around the bar.
Decent size pool with lots of sun loungers.
Would definitely visit again.

We had money stolen on our 2nd day there after reporting to reception our lights were broke, and the lads who were on the floor below us had 2 mobile phones taken. No reps were ever around either.
Location is good (about the only decent thing about Los Salmones) and we loved the Irish centre especially Brogans bar, but didn't like walking past the prostitutes lurking in the early hours outside the apartments.
On the whole Gran canaria is lovely and we enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone ever!!!

They had a bar next to the pool which sold snacks and they were really nice quite cheap aswell. the hotel staff were very helpful and all were very nice apart from one of the security guards who walked round the pool all day with a right grumpy face telling everyone off for the slightest thing. The real pain in the bum about this hotel was that even though the pool was massive you are not allowed lilos in the pool!!! i would definatley go back to the los salmones but i wouldnt recomend the hotel for families with small children..

The hotel was a basic but clean hotel. It’s what we needed for our two weeks of partying.
The receptionist staff were very polite and accommodating if you had a problem!
The bar staff were really nice and attentive.
The food in the hotel was very nice and cheap but we never tried the hotels restaurant. We stayed at the pool bar!
The location that the hotel was situated in was in easy reach of the Kasbah bar centre, the beach, restaurants and all the supermarkets. It was in the perfect spot!
Taxis are also cheap if you want to get somewhere fast, we got taxis to the Kasbah centre every night.
We only had two Freestyle reps and we hardly saw them they weren’t very good or friendly. The Escapades reps were wicked as they were always at the hotel looking after and taking out their guests they were also really friendly to us. Next year I'm going to go with them if I go with my friends again!

The apartments themselves were clean and pretty comfortable. Basic in furniture and you can rent kettles, toasters etc.
The maid came every day and thoroughly cleaned the place we never had any complaints! 3 of our lights went out one day and within 10mins of telling reception someone came and changed them.
The pool is giant, and the pool area is very clean, loads of beds anytime before noon as everyone is hungover!
The entertainment wasnt so good but we preferred to go out of the apartments at night anyway. The pool bar is good for getting some shade during the day, with snacks served and pool tables and stuff.
I would def go back!

| said: Los Salmones was a really nice hotel to stay in. As there were eight of us altogether we wanted good size rooms with good facilities to accomodate us ladies. Four of us were on the ground floor and four were on the third, which meant a bit of a hike if we wanted to speak to each other but then we discovered the phones. Oh! Such bliss! Of course we did have the odd cockroach but they wern't too much bother. Especially when we had our sexy rep Chris to kill them for us. The reps were all really nice and the Escapades lot seemed to live there. The staff however were not as nice. Many a silent night was broken by the sound of 'Rent A cop' bashing on some poor defencless persons door. Scary, scary man. The guy behnd the reception seemed a little cheesed off when i kept having to go and ask for toilet roll. Well what do you when the maids refuse to clean ur sheets and give you toilet roll? However i do commend the reception guy for helping my friend and I get rid of a scary stalker. The pool was really good with plenty of sunloungers if a little smelly. I never did find out what that was. However, after being thrown in fully clothed, twice you would think i would know. The pool bar was excellent and i had many a good game of pool on one of the six tables there. All in al i would recommend Los Salmones to anyone who is looking for a bit off fun and lots of drink. No families. And remember 'NO LILOS IN THE POOL'

| said: Stayed at Los Salmones for two weeks last year in July. Personally thought that the whole resort was like blackpool. Rooms were generally clean though extremely basic - our room had a thin perspex balcony door which wouldn't lock - would have been very easy to break in. We used the hob once and, although we ensured it was switched off properly, it stayed on while we were out and almost scorched counter. Plugs hanging out of socket, very old bedding/curtains. Rooms were small and cramped. Good maid service every other day.
The pool area was clean and pool was fairly large - no lilos allowed in pool and security guard went mad at drunken people who decided to have a midnight swim. Pool bar serves satisfactory food and drink. Entertainment was corny, expected as much as we didn't pay a fortune for holiday. Staff got on with their jobs, co-operative but nothing special.
Worst thing of all were the inconsiderate 18-30 who screamed, shouted and banged at all hours. We had loads of fun without having to act like wild animals when we got back to apartments.
Avoid the Mumbo centre - very run-down and intimidating.

| said: Just come back and have had a really good time. The apartments are ok. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the cooking facilities you need and a nice bathroom. There is a seperate bedroom and although the beds were squeeky they were decent. We didn't see one cockroach all holiday! Well i lie really because the first room we were given was infested with the buggers so we moved! The pool bar is good and puts on decent food and the prices are ok. The pool is lovely and big and there are plenty of sunbeds though they are taken up very quickly. The staff at the apartments are very helpful and when we complained we were moved straight away. The hotel is mainly used by escapades and 18-30 so stay away if you don't like noise. One lad had a sh*t off his balcony whilst someone else threw a chair through the window and over the balconey! The only problem with the apartments was the fact that if you were unlucky (like us) your apartment would face the main road which is more like a dual carriage way. It was very noisy however you learn to bear it.

| said: I came back yesterday and I loved every minute of my stay. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the pool was very clean and really big. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. There was lots of entertainment and the reps were great. We were on the top floor which was great because we had a lovely view of the sea. The hotel was pretty and really nice as the stairs were spiral. I cant tell you how depressed I am to be home I wish I was still there it was excellent. It was absolutly boiling hot there and I have a nice tan, cant wait to go again..
