| said: We stayed at the Playa Bella apartments in June 08. I must say that I wasnt very impressed. When we went into our room, there was a dirty sock left in one of the cupboards and the whole apartment never felt entirely clean. The doors on the kitchen cupboards were mainly hanging off and the little oven/microwave thing was filthy.I would never of cooked in there. We ate out every day which worked out quite expensive for 8 of us.
However the places to eat were very good. There was a bar on site where the accomodation was and this sold lovely baguettes and the staff were very nice and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. There were plenty of places to get food and it was probably cheaper to eat out than to buy things in the local supermarkets as these were really expensive.
The locationof te hotel is ok, it is right onthe beach although this means that anyone can walk through the resort which I would have felt uneasy about if I had younger children with me.
The entertainment was ok but nothing special. Roy and Chris were very nice people but it was a bit the same every night. I was very annoyed at the drag show. It was disgusting. I am not a prude by a long way but we had our 3 children with us who were 12, 13 and 17 and this was very embarrassing. They were crude and in my opinion, not something that children would be allowed to sit through in this country. This was definately adult entertainment and we were told all week that we had to watch the drag show as it was so good but we should have been told that it was crude and lots of sexual references.I left with my younger 2 children and went back to the room. However this was the only show that i can complain about but it left a mark on the holiday.
I definately wouldnt stay at this hotel again in the future
The pool was nice and we had no trouble getting a sunbed but like anywhere, you have to get there for 9o clock in the morning but this wasnt a problem to us as when on holiday, we are not people that lay in bed all day anyway.

| said: These apartments overall are what you expect for your money in Spain the only real issue we had was with the cleanliness. The room was not clean when we arrived and we were in our 4th day before we had the cleaners round and also the rooms were in need of some upgrading examples being kitchen cupboard doors hanging off and tiles/taps worn/mouldy. We never ate in the bar so cant comment on the food. The staff were great really friendly and very helpful. The location is fantastic directly on the beach and backs onto the main strip with a 2 minute walk to the boat which takes you to san antonio town. There is entertainment every night with bingo (around 125 euros up for grabs) karaoke, drag acts, singers/comedians.

| said: We stayed at the Playa Bella for a 5 night break which we booked independently at the end of August,we dont normally stay anywhere 2 star but we had already had our main holiday so werent too bothered but the Playa bella is a good 2*, the complex is in the heart of San Antonio Bay so depending on where your room is it can be quite noisy. The rooms are fine, spacious enough in the 1 bedroom apartment we had with air conditioning which is operated by a remote control which you pay a 20 euro deposit on (refundable) The apartments were refurbished in 2004 but still a bit dated but do have LCD TV with Toon Disney so our kids were happy! We didnt see any cleaners/towel changes during our stay but again we werent too bothered but would have insisted had we stayed longer. Other reviews mention the entertainment, I saw nothing going on during the day and we went out on an evening so I cant comment much on that. There is a play park in the complex with trampolines, bouncy castle and huge inflatable whale with moving mouth which kids loved but you have to pay for this and the time that the kids have to come off is written on their hands in pen! The pool is great with a shallow pool for kids, sunbeds are unlocked at nine with the usual towel brigade waiting (including me) but there are not enough sunbeds for this hotel if you arent there first thing you wont get a bed till late afternoon. There are a couple of restaurants in the complex selling the usual snacks all reasonably priced and staff are lovely. The beach is more or less an attachment of the hotel so kids can walk a few yards to the sand and you can see them from the sunbed I thought this was really nice if you like beach and pool. Overall a canny apartment complex offering more than your usual apartments probably due to the competition in entertainment that San Antonio bay offers.

| said: We arrived 12 August with our 2 teenage daughters, rooms were adequate, location was excellent as it has it's own streatch of beach.
The swimming Pool is wonderful.
Rooms were cleaned aprox 3 times a week, would have been nice for fresh daily towels. (but sadly you can't have everything)
Plenty of shops and bars in the surrounded area which we used on our second week.
Brilliant duo called Brotherhood who performed there (although they were extremely loud)
However I do have a serious concern, regarding the entertainment crew (unfortunately can't mention everything here) consisted of a elderly couple who did not really fit the role of entertainment crew, The man seemed to be over familier with the young ladies, while his wife sat looking miserable, my daughter felt uneasy around him, which is why we spent our second week around the local bars.
Yes i would go back, but only if the entertainment crew were changed, again I can't really go into detail due to this site's rules.
All in all a nice place in a nice area, just keep an eye on your daughters, but then I suppose everyone does

It had great facilities for the children as normal, the only downside this year was the entertainment. In previous years we have spent every night in The Playa Bella bar but this year I have to admit we only stayed there once and that was to see the drag act who were only on one night throughout the summer.
As normal the staff were really helpful and friendly.
The rooms and pool area were spotlessly clean at all times.
I would highly recommend The Playa Bella and we can't wait until next summer to return!!

| said: The Playa Bella was recommended by a friend who has stayed there on numerous occasions.
I was very disappointed when our room was allocated because we were given a studio room and not the 1 bedroom apartment we had booked, this was not the hotels fault but a misrepresentation of the holiday company who then offered to change us to a bigger studio room but not until the following week. The room was really small and I had to sleep on a pull out mattress on the floor for 2 weeks, the balcony was actually bigger than the room itself and was the only saving grace because of its spectacular view of the bay. The cleanliness of the room was very lax as we were told the rooms were cleaned every 2/3 days when actually we only had 2 linen changes and 2 towel changes during our whole 2 week stay and the accumulation of dust balls under the beds/settees was disgusting. So I don’t rate the cleanliness of the hotel at all especially when other people staying at the hotel said the got their linen and towels changed 3 times during a 1 week stay.
The best thing about our holiday was the entertainment and the only reason I would return to the Playa Bella, the entertainment manager Roy and his wife Christine made our holiday most enjoyable from Chris doing her crazy quiz in the afternoons and bingo at night, to roys excellent comparing and best of all their karaoke shows twice weekly which gave everyone a chance young and old to have fun and enjoy themselves songs were very rarely repeated and everyone got a chance to take part in a most enjoyable evening.

| said: Pros: This is a great place to stay. Right next to the beach - good pool area and very hard working staff. What a joy compared to the Fiesta Tanit we stayed in about 4 years ago. It felt like a different world. It was very hot when we got there (90 degrees +)- I can't exist without air-con and it was very welcome.
The bars attached to the apartments are good for food. I preferred the bar at the top of the steps but the Bahia bar was good as well.
Lovely views of the bay while sat outside the Bahia bar. The kids loved it (10 and 7) - the bouncy castle and trampolines were excellent and in a safe enclosed area so you knew they were ok. Try the little beach bar which is 50 yards up the beach on the left as you face the sea. One highlight was the water bus that ferries you over to San Antonio town. The stop is situated past the beach bar on a little jetty. You can see it from the apartments.
The pros vastly outweigh the cons but there was a few of them.
Cons: The hotel opposite our rooms was very noisy - mostly kids on their own - coming back from the clubs at all times of the night/morning. Out apt was quite small - but this meant the air-con was more efficient. Two bedrooms but only one toilet was a little restrictive. Make sure you get your air-con controller on arrival as we had to go back for ours (deposit only - no charge as mentioned by someone else here.) It wouldn't have killed them to remind us of this before we tramped all the way round the complex to find our room.
Also the shows were very noisy up to midnight - this only bothered us a couple of nights as most days we stayed out past midnight!!
On the whole I was well pleased with this place and would certainly consider going back- just get a room on the side of the opts not facing the Spar and hotel next door!!!!

Only complaints were not enough parasols and expect everyone to be out of pool by 6.30pm! Could have emptied bins more often( only twice in week ) but not a real problem.
Starting to get noisier at hotel opposite. Apart from this had a brilliant time, location excellent, plenty sunbeds, apartments clean with wonderful views, breakfast at beach restaurant really good value for 3.50 euros.

The Apartments were small and we only had it cleaned twice a week (brouchere stated Four times a week)Pool was clean but i had to get up at 8.00 every morning just to get a sun lounger.
The location i did not rate as it was too english there was no tradional spainish resturants and the arcades playground parks were too in your face.
The boat ride to San Antonio Bay was Pleasant.
I would definaltey recommend to anyone hiring a car the island is beautiful.

| said: We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Playa Bella. There were 2 adults and 2 15 year olds in our party staying in a one bedromm appt. Overall the Playa Bella appartments are clean and are in an excellent location for the beach and main street. The staff are friendly and the catering outlets on site overlook the sea and provide good food at reasonable prices. However we were unlucky to have been given an appartment with an extremely small balcony and a view of the Spar shop roof. The majority of other rooms overlooked the sea. The ventilation in the bathroom was poor and the living accomodation was small. It was quite noisy at night. It was good value for money especially for families with younger children. However I wouldn't return as it was too small for a grown family.

The apartment was too small especially the bathroom no where to hang bath towels, the balcony was bigger than the apartment itself. The cleaners only cleaned the apartment twice while we were there and they didn’t clean very well the floor wasn’t swept or cleaned, we had to wash the towels ourselves has they only changed them twice, the bedding was never changed. The only thing we liked was the great view we had and the balcony.
The location was brilliant near to shops bars, and on the beach. The swimming pool was clean and a good size and there was always sun beds available.
The kids club was great my daughter really enjoyed it. The children’s play area was expensive three euros for thirty minutes.
I would go back to San Antonio bay but not to the Playa Bella.

The cafe at the top of the stairs by the far pool was great and the family who ran it were lovely.
San Antonio bay was lovely but did get abit fed up with seeing under 16s rolling around drunk with no parents (I'm no old un, was 30 when I went here). Just a boat ride away was San Antonio which was brilliant for meals out and to watch the entertainment.
Very hot when we went and yes would go back to Ibiza but just not here.

| said: I have just returned from a week at the playa bella, and I have to say that I was plesantly surprised at the high standards we found there. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was a very good size with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, 2 balcony's and a nice sized living room. There was no TV, however I have to say that we didn't miss it.
The rooms were very clean, the cleaners came twice in one week to change towels, bed linin and basically tidy up after us. The other hotel staff were extreamly helpful and made you feel very welcome.
The entertaiment was quite good altough I felt not really varied enough, if we had been staying for 2 weeks I think we would have been a bit bored, but that aside I would have no hesitation visiting the Playa Bella again.

A god send of the air conditioning (20 euros) refundable.
There is a launderette on site (4 euros) very handy.
You have to be up by 9.00 am to claim your sun longers and parasols. I would advise people to purchase a lilo to put on your sunbed. Not the comfiest of things to lie on if you want a lazy day.
I recommend going to the sports bar for drinks, just up the steps. It is a lot cheper than the Playa Bella bar.
The beach is just a few yards away and very clean. A little rocky in places, but lovely and clear.
The whole of the Playa Bella is cleaned each night and early mornings. A fresh smell of disinfectant in the mornings is quite reassuring. The staff work really hard.
We had 2 children aged 13 with us and they loved it all.

| said: Playa Bella is situated directly on a narrow sandy beach with lovely views across the bay to San An Town. Our one bedroomed apartment was clean and modern with kettle, toaster, mini-oven/grill, air conditioning (20 euro refundable deposit), no telephone or TV. It was too small for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. In order to use both beds in the lounge area we had to move the dining table and chairs on to the balcony (which fortunately was of a decent size). Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom and no clothes airer so we ended up buying a washing line and pegs. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Two restaurants on the complex on the seafront, usual food of a reasonable quality but a bit hit and miss in the Playa Bella Restaurant as this is where the entertainment is held, and can consequently be very busy. Entertainment was OK, usual bingo, singers, karioke etc. Trampolines and a bouncy shark for kids to play on, but a charge for this. Pool area nice but fairly small, all sunbeds always taken (but this was August and we were never up early!). Sunbeds on the beach 4 euros each and another 4 for an umbrella. Overall this was a nice, friendly complex with everything you need either on site or very close by, and good value for money for what we paid with Eclipse. If we went again, however, we would definately get a 2 bedroomed apartment.

| said: We were welcomed warmly by the reception staff and all staff were very friendly and helpful, the children (3 and 5) could even speak a few words of Spanish when we left (particularly the room number and pleasantries). The 1 bed apartment was a bit smaller than others we had stayed in (we couldnt get all 4 chairs around the table comfortably) but as we tend not to cater apart from breakfast this wasn't too much of a problem and it was clean, well equipped and serviced regularly, the airconditioning was a godsend. Our first floor room overlooked the Spar and Jonny's pub and had a very large balcony (unlike other floors). The pool was fantastic but the kids play area was pay to play (not mentioned in the brochure). The kids club was good although the times were not always convenient with nothing one day then lots of events on another but the kids enjoyed it. The hotel entertainment let the place down slightly, kids mini disco only twice a week and an interesting weekly programme (no good for two weekers). The Hotel location was excellent, with a bus stop right outside and regular water taxi to San Antonio 3 minutes up the beach, it was close to lots of shops, pubs and restaurants.

| said: 2 bedroom apartments were of good size, modern and clean. Missing a telephone and microwave in the rooms.
The fight for a sun lounger and brolly was pathetic; you had to be queuing up from 8.45am if you definitely wanted one! (They need to buy a lot more for the guests).
Food in the Baha was very nice and so so in the Playabella bar!
The location of the apartments is ideal it’s on the beach front which was nice but been on beaches a lot nicer. A bit expensive to pay the rate to hire a sun lounger and a brolly every day if your not up in time to get one by the pool.
It has got a kids club, doctors, laundry, and all kinds of shops, bars restaurants on site and very close to the main street which has everything you need. The boat ride to San Antonio is lovely and you must visit Formentera it's Ibiza’s sister island it's stunning (but don't forget to take your packed lunches).
The staff at Playabella were all great and friendly.
The complex and stairways were cleaned every morning and eveing. The rooms were cleaned several times a week.
The entertainment was quite good but watch out for the parrot show which is good but they con you into buying a photograph when they plonk the parrot on your knee and take the photo (cause then you have to buy it).
I would go back to Playabella but travelling around Europe!

| said: Visited there with friends for sun, fun and relaxation. The apartment was dark and dingy, and not very clean. When we arrived, our bedding had not been changed. Reception were unhelpful and we had to argue with them for replacement sheets. The food outlets sold greasy, expensive slop. The surrounding area was dirty with an aroma of sewage. At night, the apartments facing outwards are horrendously noisey with people shouting as they get home from the clubs. It's too hot to close the windows and too loud to open them. In the morning you get woken up by the bin men at 6am. No win situation. Pool was nice, and we were right on the beach. Although we loved Ibiza (nightlife, scenery, weather), we glad to leave Playa Bella!
