Greeted warmly by the staff on arrival and a quick and efficient check in. Reception area was small but clean and nicely furnished.

Our room was clean if a little tired around the edges and in need of slight refurbishment. Ample storage space and nice decor.

Although the weather was cold the air conditioning unit gave out warm air and kept the room warm enough.
Although there was limited choice of meals we always found something we liked and the portions were more than adequate and it was well cooked.

The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you during your stay. Entertainment was virtually non-existent but there was entertainment in nearby pubs if you looked for it.

Our rep visited regularly but we did'nt go on any of her excursions as we found they were a quarter of the price in a local tourist office - Nova. These were just as good as the reps trips, the only difference being we had a minibus instead of a coach, but we preferred this as it was more personal. We would definitely consider this hotel again as it was well positioned for Bugibba, Qawra and St. Pauls .

There were a lot of senior citizens in this hotel for long stay holidays but this was okay as they got to know us and we found them friendly and fun.

At weekends there can be some noise late at night from local pubs and bars.

Further to our report above we feel we should add that the main downside of our holiday was continous harassment from time share reps as soon as you stepped foot out of the hotel, both in main areas and backstreets of the resort area.

They would not take no for an answer and could be abusive and threatening when you expressed no interest. Ignoring them did not work either as you were called "rude and ignorant". They really could spoil your holiday if you let them.

This was confirmed by numerous other holiday makers, especially the long stay people who were "hounded" throughout their holiday.

Felt so strongly sent an email to Maltese Tourist Office in London and are waiting a reply.

Stayed here In Feb 06 so out of season. The Hotel is used a lot by elderly Brits on a 3 month stint which works out cheap for them.

The food was OK but not brilliant. There was usually a fish dish and a meat dish but if you were a vegetarian it was mainly omelette's or rice.

Main area had a TV (only one channel in English and this was a news programme the rest is mainly Italian) sofas and tables etc and was clean and tidy. Bedroom were very basic but fairly clean although the floors never seemed to get swept. It was cold while I was there and asked for a heater but was told the air con blew out hot air as well. I did as was instructed and air was slightly warmer than cold but not much. The beds had 1 sheet and a throw so used the extra blankets every day. It had a bath which I loved but it did take about 20 minutes to fill enough to bathe but the water was nice and hot. Also had a TV but again with only a news channel in English. No tea making facilities but one could be hired from reception.

The roof pool was out of action as the season had not begun. there was another pool on lower floor but though this was open it was very neglected when I was there.

It was a last minute cheap holiday for me and I went for the diving so wasn't that bothered about my surroundings but others may need more.
