When guests return several times a year, you know that service here is excellent. Add the enticing swimming pool to your deliberations, and your choice is easy. The ethos of the Princess chain is to provide high quality hotels at affordable prices and no better example exists than this complex. The extensive swimming pools and terraces offer plenty of space to sunbathe and are located between the two wings of the combined Maspalomas/Tabaiba Princess. This unusual hotel is horseshoe shaped and each wing has its own reception‚ bar and entertainment lounge‚ however all facilities are shared and available to all guests. Why not try out the landscaped beach area of the complex which is over 100m long.

We have just returned from the Maspolomas Princess, stayed there for a week, we had a fab time. Its a large hotel linked with the Tabaiba Princess which is exactly the same bur mirror image.

We could not fault the hotel, its beautiful with a wondeful reception and glass lifts, it really is eye catching as you walk in.

The rooms were quite large with ample storage for clothes etc, and everywhere was spotless throughout the hotel considering its so big.
The Maspolomas Princess seems to be full of brits whereas the tabaiba was full of german tourists. The pool area is very large and links both hotels together. The grounds etc are lovely with palm trees and little bridges running over the pools. The area has been made to look like a beach and has a type of artifical sand which are more like very tiny stones but it does the job!

The food was beautiful plenty of choice, something for everyone, only criticism is the cooked food at breakfast was only just about luke warm which did spoil it, the food in the evening though was much hotter. There were chefs always cooking something fresh in front of you, beware!! you will put on the pounds!!! And the desserts were fab!!
The location of the hotel is a bit of a dissapointment, it is quite a long way form the beach, its a good 25min walk to the actual sea front where there is a lovely promenade to walk along and lovely shops, bars and restaurants. So it is a bit frustrating that there is very little around the hotel, there is just a superamarket across the road, a restuarant and thats about it. However, the taxis are cheap and it is only about 2-3euros to the seafront, just ask to be dropped off at the lighthouse., and thats the start of the main promenade if you bear right. The beach and dunes are to the left of the lighthouse.

We did have one trip with Thomsons, we went to Puerto De mogan which is worth visiting, it is a pretty fishing village and has a large market on a Friday where you can barter for all those bargains!

If you like camels it is about a 15min walk from the hotel where you can have a 25min ride on a camel through the dunes, that was a bit of fun!!

All in all we had a lovely time and would definatly return.

We stayed for a week at the Maspalomas Princess. We had stayed in other Princess hotels and once again we were not disappointed.
The staff were very friendly.
The food was excellent with a special buffet set out for children.
Set in a quiet location, but the beach can be reached on foot, if you feel like a 20 mins walk along the side of the dried up riverbed. Otherwise a taxi will take you there. Taxis are cheap, but local buses also run from outside the hotel.
Plenty of swimming pool/childrens pools, although only one was heated but you soon got used to the cold and the children didn't seem to mind.

I would visit this hotel again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and we would not hesitate to go back again in the future.

We arrived on the 3.1.08 and the hotel was quite full with guests that had been there over Christmas and New Year. The entrance lobby is very grand and was nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and 2 giant snowmen.

The hotel food is really top quality and nicely presented. Choices included duck and steaks. Champagne was served with breakfast on Sundays.

The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very friendly and courteous. Location wise these hotels are a little out of the way, but for less than 4 Euroes you can get a taxi into Playa Del Ingels where there are plently of bars and shops.

The outdoor areas are lovely, with several large pools and different sunbathing areas to choose from.

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the evening entertainment. It really was very disappointing and seemed to consist of Acrobatic and dance acts, which only last about 40 minutes. In the fortnight we were there we saw only 2 or 3 decent acts (The Four Tops and the Drifters tribute bands). The lead singer in the resident band is truely awful and I think they only bring her on to clear the bar area at the end of the night! I would add though that the 2 pianists in the piano bar were both excellent.

Entertainment excepted this hotel is a lovely holiday experience.

We have stayed in many princess hotels in spain and would rate this hotel as one of the best.
staff were first class, pleasant and very helpful.
Thomson reps were ok, rooms cleaned everyday and were spotless.
Hotel a little out of the way but taxis were cheap and plentiful.
We thought however that the hotel would be a busy place say in june , july and august.
we would recomend this hotel to any couple who wished to have a relaxing holiday in december time.
Wished we had went for two weeks instead of one.

Maspalomas Princess,Very impressive looking hotel as you drive into the gates, and no dissappointments inside, very large reception area, hotel overall cleanliness was very good,no complaints there.
Hotel room quite good, again kept very clean and towels changed every day.On the whole all of the hotel including pool and garden areas are all well kept.
Plenty of choice in the restaurant, food was always hot and well presented.
All the staff were always happy to obligue and very attentive.
Pool areas are very nice 4 large plus 2 kiddie pools, plenty of sunbeds for all, but one small problem was the fact that there were only parasols in one area, and that was on the manmade beach, which was really more like cat litter, but we went and bought our own for 7 euros, so no great price to pay.
But the biggest problem for us was the evening entertainment.
Evening entertainment is an important part of our holiday, so when I read that there were 5 proffesional acts a week plus the hotel has its own entertainment team too, we thought great this is what we want,Resident band Flash Union - Dire.
The hotel entertainment team, the less said about their shows the better, then the proffessional acts, Two good shows in two weeks, The Shermans and the Drifters. We did mention to the thomson rep about the entertainment, they are aware that it is a problem and are trying to improve but with a multi-national hotel it is difficult, which I do understand hard to please all the people all of time, but then again rubbish is rubbish in any language.
Its such a shame because this hotel is very good and is let down badly by the entertainment.

Firstly, this hotel is in two halves, each a mirror image of the other! We stayed at the Princess side on the first floor. The safe is 13.50 Euro for a week and so is the fridge, 27.00 Euro already spent, but worth it. Room was cleaned every day no problems, in fact the entire hotel is very clean all round. We saw 1 (one) cockroach all week!!!!!!!!

The pool isnt that warm but it is massive, 4000 M sq and sunbeds were available all day. There is a high German content in the hotel, although must say that there was no problems at all.

The food is quantity, not quality, but the Mexican night was good.

Two bits of advice/warning :-

1) The area around the centre of the pool near the steam room is used by the germans especialy, they however sauna naked, so watch out for them strolling about starkers in the shower area!

2) Drinks at dinner, pay for them with cash after your meal, you can put it on your room bill, but it was mentioned that sometimes it can be a bit corrupt!

All in all, fantastic hotel, great resort, clean hotel and friendly staff. Couldnt ask for more.

This is our 4th holiday with Thomson Platinum hard to change when they have been so perfect. And up until now we still haven't stayed in any place better than our first holiday. But this all changed here.

Reception - A grand entrance welcomes you to this hotel, massive stone pillers at the entrance just show you the hotel that awaits, large fountain and palm tree lined drive takes you to the the glass front reception. Shining marble floors and glass lifts on either side and 4 story high ceiling with plants and flowers in every eye shot. Checkin was in 10 minutes and was up in the room withint 10 minutes. Excellent.

Rooms - I think we were one of the lucky ones to get a refurbished room, laminate flooring with wicker furniture was a nice change, fresh colours and bright. Walking out onto the balcony was breath taking, could see the pool, palms tree's and of course BLUE SKY!!!
Bathroom was very nice in marble, mega power shower, and large mirror with hairdryer.

Pool - What can i say but WOW! This is the largest free form swimming pool i have seen, gently slopeing shores into warm clean pool water, there is also a salt water swimming pool (if you like that sort of thing), you'll never feel crowded in this pool, lots of sun beds and the man made beach is excellent (considering Gran Canaria has black sand beaches or dark sand from sand dunes) Lots of Palm plants and tree's but carefully placed as not to obstruct the sun.

Resturant - Two large resturants manage to feed the two hotels with ease, great atomosphere and plenty to eat, we had 4 courses every night and never had to eat the same thing twice, ranges from Veal, Steak, Tuna, Pork, Chicken, Turkey and salmon tried them all with not problems, veg, stews, soups and pastas are also in plenty of supply. Waiter service was excellent, oh and try the house red (Azabache) had a bottle a night its so nice.

Entertainment - Entertainment was good daily activities every 2 hours, evening entertainment in the main hall was ok, acts like acrobats and such don't fit with us but the Tramps, Drifters and Elvis were really good. (Watch the parrot show too funny as) But because the hall is packed with families it can be busy and loud. So the Paino bar is a great retreat the guy on the paino is great and does modern songs, spent most nights there with a cocktail or two. Plus no kids :-)

Cleanliness - Every was spotlessly clean i did spot 2 cockroches but its a hotel with over 1500 people and a lot of hiding places so it was understanable, Monday is cleaning day the whole place is cleaned top to bottom. Pool area was clean (but can be slippery) and the gardens are very nice to walk round at night when its all lit up.

Location - Right in the middle of Maspalomas, 3 euros from Playa De Ingles (Wild nights and Party on) and a 15 min walk from the Beach, Aqualand (the best waterpark in the Canary Island) is onlt 4 euros (we went twice LOL such kids!)
Maspalomas is so hot and the sun is a baker LOL, becarful when checking weather reports as it will generally be at the north near the airport which is very windy and never as hot as the south. Check http://www.meteomaspalomas.com/index2.htm a good site.

THE BAD POINTS :

1. The maid service isn't too reliable, when done the room was cleaned ok ish, sometimes the floor wasn't even swept and the bin not emptied, but on three occasions over the 14 nights the room was missed completely. Getting back from a day in the sun and seeing your room in the mess you left it in wasn't nice, but a quick call to reception and they maid was there cleaning, but they tried to blame it on the card on the door which we had put away on the first day so there was no confusion. Tut Tut

2. We paid for a pool view and got exactly that, but our room 3048 had a steady supply of Ants in the Bathroom, once told they sprayed some stuff and for most of the holiday it cured the problem but by the time we were getting ready to leave they where back. Weird as we were on the top floor!

3. Sunbeds! Hmmm the good old reserving of sunbeds is STRICTLY forbibben, Yeah ok, who inforces it? NO ONE! 8 or so mornings getting up at 7am isn't good! just so you can get a bed for the day. Was a shame really.

Apart from those it was a fantastic holiday will defo be going back there as its like they have imported paradise to Maspalomas, didn't need to leave the hotel. The Tabiba side is 70% german and is the all inclusive side and the Maspalomas side is Half Board and the better side :)

But if you book this up you won't be disappointed, we are picky and have stayed in 3 hotel that are 4+ before this one (and one was a 5) but this took the biscuit, and the weather is practically guaranteed.

Have fun and get ya cases packed!

Hotel Maspalomas Princess
The room cleaning was erratic, sometimes not until four in the afternoon. Although the food was exellent, when the hotel was full the staff tended to loose the plot.

The location is a bit far from anywhere, but then so is the resort. The staff tended to be friendly and tryed to be helpful.

Although nightly entertainment is provided it is spoiled by the fact that children are allowed to run "amok" on and around the stage, often undisciplined, even well after ten at night, thus spoiling the entertainment for the rest.

Just got back from this hotel, as said in other reviews and I agree the hotel is spotless with very nice pool area and reception all kept very clean at all times.

We must of had one of the refurbished rooms very nice. Large for a hotel room with large bathroom with very good power shower noticed not all rooms have been changed yet though.

Food.
This is the first time I had been half board as we enjoy going out at nights to the local restaurants so I might be a bit of a harsh critic. Breakfasts were good with bacon eggs beans cereal toast rolls jam ham and lots more.
Evening meals were all ok but I found it all got a bit same old same old same salads every night limited choice on the specials selection but i have to add other people in our group loved it so its just what you like really.

Location
Nothing in the area at all Melanoras/the light house area 20 min walk away or 3 euro in taxi very very nice good shops and we tried a few restaurants which were very good low key but a nice atmosphere.

The hotel is nice clean good pool areas you can't really go wrong with this hotel good kids club a well run nice hotel.

Well..we arrived at about 4pm, and were checked in and unpacked in our room within an hour.. itching to get out to the pool!

It was out 4th stay at the hotel. and the best yet...
So clean as always... I saw one piece of rubbish in the week I was there.... it was a leaflet on the floor! But it was generally spotless..

I can't help saying that there were a LOT more Germans. I mean.. about 60% of people there were German. Nothing wrong with this, except sunbed scrounging was difficult.

Also.. in the restaurant.. there was a bit of a queue sometimes.. which was unfortunate, but nothing wrong.. you could just admire everything!

The hotel is run perfectly....... everyone that works there seems to be part of a little and mysterious team, working like clockwork.. it's quite brilliant really!

The kids club.. the mini-club is great for the young ones, the staff are so caring towards the kids (age5-10) and it was just such a cute atmosphere there.

Also... in general, the day entertainment was great, watching people doing water polo etc. With the chance to join in if wanted...

The evening entertainment was pretty good... blues brothers, variety show and the acrobats was good.... my favourite was world dance though.. I remember the girl Sophie from somewhere else, Garbos I think... the show was amazing. You just get pulled onto stage a lot of the time, which was so fun!

Also the band, Flash Union were as great as ever.. always getting people dancing....the singer as talented as ever! Also a mention to the guy mainly on keyboards who is amazing. especially when he gets out his guitar occasionally!

Over all it was great once again.....

Lovely people working there - a lot of them now very good friends of mine...

I will be going back later this year!

Its the third time I have stayed in this hotel.

I think its beginning to show signs of wear and tear, but they do appear to be putting new furniture in some rooms.

The cleanliness is first rate and the food very good. the hotel is in a quiet area about a 20 minute stroll from the beach. but the centre of Playa del Ingles is only a 5 minute taxi ride away.

The staff have always been friendly and efficient. The entertainment varies in quality the New Supremes and Drifters are very good but some of the dancing acts are boring. Dont like the blues brothers.

My daughter enjoys the hotel run kids club. The entertainment is better in the summer when its outside.

The brochure states "appeals to couples of all ages and some families seeking a relaxing location" and Features dancing every night.

Over easter (the school holidays), the hotel was over run with children who were very poorly behaved at night, so much so that the secrity guards had to frog march them into reception to await their errant parents. During the day there was no relaxation, everything was given over to the animacion!!

And there was no place for quiet at any time. The brochure states "dancing evry night", yet the reception staff were clear that no dancing was available.

When we attempted dancing we were frightened of hurting the children running hither and thither through the few intrepid dancers. No dancing was possible in the salon due to the forest of prams and buggies and unsupervised children running amok.

Having stayed in this hotel 3 times before, I can see that standards have definately slipped. Queing to get into the dining room? No Platinum check-in? No mats on the sunbeds and the cleanliness of the rooms left alot to be desired.

The staff try hard, but Thomson/Portland need to try harder. A cockroach was spotted in the dining room and reported when we were there.

The mini-club was fantastic but the entertainment was the same as it has been for the past few years and the acts are very stale - especially Flash Union. How about a disco?

This hotel is surely impressive, on arrival we were bowled over by the size. The greetings received by the reception staff was encouraging, and straight away you felt home from home.

They put us on the first floor, which was really nice, the decor and furnishing are very classy, and the rooms are spacious, all the communal areas are large, and there are many seats and sunbeds.

Although it is a bit of a hike to the dunes/beach, we think its situated in an excellent location.

As the food is so plentiful, you need the walk to make room for the next intake, the food is really of good quality and they have a wide variety from smoked salmon and asparagus to the kids chicken nuggets, we would recommend this hotel without a doubt.

The evening entertainment is the best we have ever seen, a variety for both children and adults, every evening there is a children's mini disco, and live singing by the resident band plus a show... What more could you want?

I have just returned from staying at the Maspalomas Princess and have been very impressed indeed.

What a fantastic hotel!! Could not believe our eyes when the bus dropped us off. Very impressive and large reception area. Check in was fine. Our room was on ground level, few trees at the balcony but we didnt sit out much as we had such a great time!

Our room was very clean with a few complimentary bottles of water and mints. Very informative welcome pack and brochures also.
Maid service was every day with fresh linen and clean towels.

Pool area was very large and spacious. Plenty sunbeds available and small bar areas nearby to get a quick bite to eat or drink. Beach area was quite like gravel but you dont need to walk in it as there are walk ways over it.

Food was fantastic! Superb selection of all kinds of food for breakfast and evening meal. Every night there was always a different selection to choose from and it was very difficult to resist the dessert counter!!!

Staff were very kind and helpful even at 5 O'Clock in the morning!

The entertainment available seemed quite good although we only went to the acrobatic show which was excellent! quite funny too and would be very enjoyable by children. we could hear some of the shows going on as our room was directly above the entertainment area but it didnt really bother us as the music was good.

There isn't really much to do outside the hotel at night but Playa Del Ingles is only a short taxi ride away at about 3-4 euros. Plenty shops and pubs to be explored!! Kasbah really brilliant and worth a visit.

I would certainly book for this hotel again and would recommend it to the highest standard. Definetly worth 5 stars!!

We saw this hotel in a broucher and it looked great, but on arrival we had to wait a long time to get booked in.

The hotel is clean but the bedding was not changed on a regular basis, also our room was not made up on two days.
The food seemed great for the first few days of our stay, but them it seemed to be the same stuff evey night and no where near enough choice for the kids which meant they ended up having chips nearley every day just so they did get someting to eat.

The location was c**p, no shops near by, because we had kids it meant getting a taxi were ever we wanted to go and then a taxi back.

If you went on hols to get a tan then you had to get up early to get the best beds (about 7.00am) this is because other gests that have been there longer than you know where the sun is at its longest and you have to try and beat them to the best beds.

This is only because there is a lot of shade from the hotel and all the trees around the pool.

As per normal the Ai German guests totaly blank you, and it is as if the kids are insects and should not be there.....

The staff have a hard job and do it very well even though there is not enough of them to go round.

The entertainment well what do I say, they have the same lady singing every night the same songs every night and she sings them very bad in broken English, but her dancing did keep us amused. The acts that followed her were quite good but hard to keep the kids entertained.

I would not vist this Hotel again and how it has a 5* I will never know it is only worth a 3*.

This was my 4th visit to the hotel, and I don't think it's slipped in any way at all - I found everything to be of the same consistently high standard, and would have no hesitation in returning again next year.

Entertainment was generally very good again, although I heard several other guests mention that the Blues Brothers show had changed since the summer season and was now very poor... I didn't see it myself, but apparently they were heckled when they were on last week...!! The pick of the shows I saw had to have been the Las Vegas Legends show, the Black Brothers, and the Supremes tribute - all three were excellent.

My only slight criticism would be that since the Tabaiba side went all-inclusive to German and Italian guests, there seems to be more of an "us vs. them" feel to the place, especially if you're allocated a room in the Tabaiba side (as I was), although this can easily be avoided by not going to the all-inclusive bars - there are 9 bars in total, only three of which offer the AI service.

This is about our 5th or 6th visit and this time we brought our recently married daughter and her family, son and his family and the Inlaws!!

Superb staff as always here. Lovely pool and outside surrounding. Not easy to get a sunbed if you leave it too late but, where is? Evening entertainment needs to be changed as we have seen it all before on previous visits in the Summer and Winter but no great problem. All that came with us were extreamly impressed and I think will come back as well under their own steam. Food as always, superb.

We like the location as it is a nice 20-30 minute stroll down to the beach and nice upmarket shopping area near the lighthouse. If you want 'full-on' get a 3Euro cab ride into Playa De Ingles. Its all there, whatever you want.

My only reservation is that the move to all inclusive for the Tabaiba half of the complex (which seemed to be for German/Belgian only) is not a good move and had started to errode standards. Many other guests felt the same. When we questioned the Thompson staff about it, they hoped that it wouldn't be permenent as well.

Don't hestitate to go, this is great value for money and you will be spoiled rotten! We will be back again next year sometime, hopefully!

I am quite surprised at the rave reviews this hotel has received. I stayed here in September and asked to be moved to the H10 Playa Melonaras.

The hotel in one word is AWFUL. The staff rude, the food terrible and was infested with ants.

All though the accomodation was clean I would not recommend this Hotel and Thomson need to not sell this as a platinum hotel as it certainly isnt.

Cannot understand why anyone would think this is a fantastic hotel, I agree it is quite pleasant, but dont think it deserves "platinum" status.

The reception is very large, but check-in is quite slow. The reception furniture was quite grubby. Rooms very nice and large (enough room for 4)and towels changed daily, but were obviously well worn - not fluffy and definately not white!.

There is not much to do nearby, but taxis are cheap approx 3 euros.

Food was just average, and I have to agree with another report I read, that it was like a school dining hall - lots of unaccompanied children fooling around and causing annoyance.

The entertainment was not our "cup of tea" but would be ok if you like that type of thing.

The pool area is vast but we found it quite easy to find loungers after breakfast, although these are reserved by some at the crack of dawn! - I thought it was supposed to be German people that did this.

We found the biggest let down was the fact that there were all-inclusive guests, as this always seems to lower standards.

We would not stay here again or recommend this hotel as platinum. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel in Fuerteventura that is just advertised as 4 star, but is luxurious.

We went to this hotel, end of August 2005. It was our 3rd time there.

I have to say that I do notice a small slip in the quality of the hotel, as there is a new German all-inclusive offer going on. So the 'early bird gets the sunbed' is now true, and especially Sunday, you may have to bag yourself a bed.

The hotel is as clean as ever, always a cleaner around, and a maid each day to your room. They change the towels when you want them to, which can be every day.

The food is very nice! A selection for everyone, if you want basics, go for the kids table, or if you want something a little more sophisticated, choose from the main section. There are 'theme nights' where one week is Mexican, the next Canarian, I think these are on a Thursday. The food is the best on these nights.

The location of the hotel is a small walk to the beach, which is lovely, because you don't get all the noise from people at the beach, none of the sand everywhere, and generally, it is close enough, but not too close to the 'action'

Hotel staff are great, waiters are friendly, polite, speak good English, and always up for a laugh. The reception is 24 hour, and on the highest form! No matter what time you stumble in drunk... they will offer you coffee, and take you up to your room. Which always makes you feel safer.

Room keys, if you loose them, you just head down to reception, ask for another, give your room number and your details and they will give you another, in less than a minute.

There are computers, but very expensive (50 cent - 5 mins 1euro- 10 mins) etc, so use the time wisely!!!

The entertainment is better than a lot of the hotels around. it caters for Spanish and English guests, but I have to say, it is a bit anti-german.... although, I am sure the Tabaiba side is anti English!!!!

There is live music at 8pm, until 8.30, then the mini disco, for the kids, until 9pm, where you return to live music, until 10pm, where there is the main show (Elvis, cabaret, comedians etc) then the live music for another hour, until midnight. The live music, is well worth a dance to, the female singer Maribel expects dancers, she may even take you onto the dance floor. Lots of fun. The music is mainstream, with Spanish and English songs. a good mix. The salon then calms down, and 'gentle' music is played!

The piano bar is the same time, and the music finishes at the same time, although it is nice to 'chill' there after being downstairs in the salon.

Overall loved the holiday, the Kasbah is well worth a visit. (it starts getting good at around midnight) only a 3 euro taxi ride. for those 'party animals' it's fantastic!!!!

All things in the hotel perfect, couldn't complain about anything!

Having stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and loved it, I was really disappointed this time.

On my previous stay, the hotel provided really good entertainment outside by the pool and it was great. This time the entertainment with the exception of the Blues Brothers was poor. We missed the Drifters and the Elvis show as we were not staying 'the right week'.

Food standards have also dropped. Not as much choice this time and dishes were repeated more than once (sometimes twice) during the week we were there.

Our room was very spacious and we had a really big double bed which was much better than twin beds which are usually provided.

Bar staff are very good. One waitress was very rude when we arrived in the restaurant at 9 pm after being out on a trip. There are too many tables in the restaurant as the other side is now all inclusive and they really cram everyone in!

Thomson no longer offer the Platinum check in service at the hotel which was one of the main reasons for going Platinum - I could have booked through Portland and saved money. Thomson reps are very good and rang us on our first morning to check we were ok - very impressive I thought.

I feel Thomson have made a lot of cuts with their package holidays and very much doubt if we will travel with them again.

The Riu chain of hotels is now far better than the Princess Group.

Well this hotel restored my faith in Thomsons platinum
holidays again after previous experiences, very good for a family wanting a hotel based holiday beside the pool. very clean with big rooms plus plenty of 4 bedded rooms at decent supplement prices (unusual)food was very repetitive and very salty.

Drinks at dinner are free for all inclusive guests only as my 12 year old daughter found out as the head waiter marched over and made it clear in front of every one then ordered me to pay yeah right should have put a notice up.

Location not bad,it's a really nice walk to the beach and shops if your fit enough no good for my mum though, thomsons staff were very good and I wouldn't say that litely!

Really did listen and return advise promptly entertainment was as expected "ok" who cares its a holiday, the weather is good! may return here again kids really loved it I paid......

Hi, stayed 2 weeks and had a good time. Don't really think the hotel is worthy of platinum status (I have stayed in better and paid less money.

Food is good...the usual running buffet...A good choice and presented well.

Rooms are large (plenty of room for the cases!) but views are obscured by mass shrubbery (glimpses of the pools, non of the sea)

Location is ok...If you like a flat walk for about a mile then the walk to the sea is great. It is out of the way but then you should know that. There is a supermarket at the back of the hotel...Bet you find them arrogant!!!

If you like the daily papers, the hotel shop has them and all the usuals are available all day...No need to be there when they open!

Plenty of sunbeds, but be early to get a good spot. There is a lot of shade due to the shrubs and the artificial beach is horrible, but it's the only place not shaded (all day sun here)

Entertainment is mediocre...The usual flamenco show, Moulin Rouge (particularly dire) Elvis is good and so is the circus show. Too much miming and not enough live performing. Problem is, if you don't like it, there's not much else to do.

Hotel is looking shabby on the outside and needs painting but it is clean

Overall, if you want to do nothing but relax by the pool and sunbathe...You'll love it. If you want pubs, clubs and the evening stroll along the karaoke bars and English pubs...This isn’t for you.

I'd go back, but only on a cheapie.

Travelled to this hotel with a large group (12 adults 5 children) at the end of Jan 2005 this is the 4th time we have stayed at this hotel so we can definitely give an honest opinion

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk away from the front but it is quite a nice walk so there is no problem at all with the location. As you approach the hotel it certainly has got the wow factor which other people have described. It is basically 2 hotels joined in the middle both hotels are identical (mirror image), you can be allocated into either side it really does not matter, this however is where you can come across the first problem.

Thomson/Portland will drop you off at the Masplaomas side of the hotel and because this is a Platinum hotel where you are guaranteed first or second coach drop off, most, or all, of the people on your coach will be staying at this hotel. So just picture up to 52 people all trying to check into one hotel at the same time, you queue up and to be honest the reception staff are very good but it still may take you up to ¾ hour get to the front of the queue and are told that you are staying in the other side of the hotel. Carry your cases across and queue up again! My point here is that the hotel handles you very well but what should be done is Thomson/Portland should be able to tell you before you get off the coach which side of the hotel you are staying in.

The rooms themselves are on the whole quite good although over a period of 4 years we are now noticing that some of them are getting a bit shabby, don’t get me wrong I am not saying they are bad but this hotel is marketed as a Platinum hotel so you should expect the best. If there are just 2 of you then you will more than likely get a room with a pool view so don’t pay extra for it|.

The pool area is fabulous probably the best you will come across, however the hotel was full and if you want a bed in a good location be prepared to get up, let’s just say 6.45am and a lot of the beds have already gone!!!

Food in the restaurant is very good and in 4 years cannot fault it at all good choice and plenty of it however because the hotel was very busy sometimes. Waiters could not clear the tables fast enough possibly not enough staff to cope at busy times.

Entertainment is passable but it depends which week you go, one week you will get Elvis and The Drifters (very good) the next week you will get various shows by the hotel entertainment team (tries hard but doesn’t quite make it). Every night you have a mini disco, kids love it but let's be honest it doesn’t take much imagination to keep kids happy for ½ hour. Same dances every night and I mean - same dances every night and believe it or not it hasn’t changed in 4 years. There is also a piano bar this is quite good for adults, a good alternative.

Now for the bad news

The Tabiaba side of this hotel has now been changed to an all inclusive basis this is probably why the hotel was so full. So the piano bar on this side are geared up for all inclusive guests. One of the bars outside on this side of the hotel is geared up for all inclusive guests and one of the outside restaurants (which used to be the pizza grill) is now only for all inclusive guests. The problem here is that the all-inclusive basis is not offered by Thomson/Portland but only by foreign tour operators, so it gives you the feeling that you are subsidising somebody else.

In our opinion the standard of the hotel has been lowered by offering an all inclusive basis, this hotel could have gone more upmarket because the location and pool area deserve all the praise they get, but what it has now done has gone the opposite way and is serving coffee in paper cups to all inclusive guests.

I may sound picky or snobbish but Thomson/Portland should make a note in the brochure that half the hotel is offered to non British guests on an all inclusive basis so you can decide before you book! As it stands it should not now be marketed as a Platinum hotel because unfortunately it is not as good as it used to be.

If this is your first time at the hotel you will probably think this hotel is very good, but comparing it over 4 years it is now not as good as it used to be and quite a lot of regular visitors we spoke to said the same as us and they like us will not be returning next year.

By the way we did make our points known to the Thomson reps and the reply was that we could make an appointment with the manager if we wanted, may be I am wrong but I thought they were there to sort your problems for you not just show you were the managers office was.

Hi just got back today from Maspalomas Princess stayed half board food was nice wide selection of food for every taste.

Room was cleaned every day however not the bedding. The hotel is about a twenty minute walk to the beach and shops but again the cabs are cheap but it is a nice walk so did not bother.

The entertainment was a big let down as I was walking out half way through lots of others were doing the same I heard some one say i've seen better school plays. But I still thought a great hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel each summer for the last three years. Why? because it's GREAT!

Please believe me when I say I am notoriously hard to please when it comes to holidays, and this one is one of the best places we have stayed at.

OK the entertainment is pretty poor on the whole, the animation team try, but it doesn't quite come off, but as mentioned in other reviews, there are other acts which make up for that, i.e. the Drifters, Blues Brothers etc. The resident group however should sack the very annoying affected female singer and replace her pronto!

As far as the food goes, we have been more than satisfied, the choice is wonderful for both breakfast and dinner, and I can’t understand anyone not being happy with the different choices available, as I said before, I am hard to please, but I always looked forward to mealtimes, as did the rest of my family.

Cleanliness in the hotel- no problem, always clean towels if you followed instructions and left wet ones on the bathroom floor to indicate you wanted fresh ones. Room was always spotlessly clean and tidied.

With regard to sunbeds, I am afraid to admit to being one of those who got up early to 'bag' a place in the shade, I would have preferred not to have done, but it was the only way to be sure of getting a sunbed each, so everyone did it, what's the answer?

We weren't sure about the grit beach, a bit hard on the feet and did get very hot to walk on but we got used to it after a while and it was OK.

Maspalomas market is a must to visit, Saturdays and Tuesdays, go in the early morning or it gets too hot to enjoy later. The Spirit of the Sea Dolphin trip is also a must although you are not guaranteed a sighting, we were lucky this last time and the sight of the dolphins and their babies swimming within feet of the boat is wonderful.

With regard to the full board option for guests from other countries, we did not find it a problem, in fact we were unaware that it was going on at all.

All in all I wouldn't want anyone to be put off this hotel after reading some dubious comments about it. My family would thoroughly recommend it, and I know that if we went back again this year, we would receive the same warm welcome from the restaurant staff (hugs and Kisses) who always remembers us from previous years. I think that speaks volumes.

This is a lovely hotel, extremly clean and definatly has that 'wow' factor when you first enter it.I went with my grandmother and we both had an excellent time.

Both hotels are a mirror image of each other linked by a corridor. The only difference is that there is a piano player in the bar in the Maspalomas. The hotel is very well set out for those with limited mobility or in a wheel chair with lots of ramps and disabled toilets and lots of rooms on the ground floor especially adapted for wheelchair users. The rooms are small but nicely furnished with a small safe in the room that you have to take your room key card to reception to get it unlocked which is the same as the mini bar where you have to get a key from reception, the mini bar is check and restocked everyday. The rooms are cleaned and the linen is changed twice a week. The tv channels are poor only BBC 24 & Sky news. There is no rooms service either.

The food is ok although you have to watch some of the little cards that are supposed to tell you what the item is. One day i picked up what i thought to be a chicken nugget and infact it was fish. Desserts are varied and out of this world. If you can find it there is also a small kids food bar too.

Pool area is clean although you have to get up early to get a space as the pool towels are all out by 8am. Pool bars have a good selection and you can use your room card to pay for things which saves the need for cash. The only bad part is the man made beach which i found very painful to walk along as it's like small pebbles not very good for children.

We only saw 2 cockroches while we were there 1 in the dinning room near the open doors and a baby one by the pool.
Whether it was day or night there was always someone cleaning. Reception was helpful and spoke very good
English. Entertainment was poor though and catered more for the Spainish/Italian guests.

The hotel is a bit out of the way but there is a nice shopping center by the lighthouse.

What a fantastic hotel.

The decor is very good, lots of marble and palm trees, there are glass lifts that give you a good view of the reception area.

The staff are extremley helpful and very friendly, and they speak very good English.

The rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday.

We had half board accomodation and felt the food was good. Although we did hear a few complaints, but not from us!.

We took taxi's everywhere as it was too hot to walk far ! These are very cheap approx 3 Euros, to beach and shops, or it was about a 20 minute walk.

The entertainment is very good. Kids club before the main entertainment starts. We saw a good Elvis impersonator, the Drifters, Flamenco dancers, and various other acts. All entertainment takes place outside by the pool.

There are 5 pools altogether, including a childs pool. These are joined together by bridges and pool bars. There is a man made beach which is made from tiny little stones rather than sand. The pool area is also extremley clean and well looked after.

The Thompson platinum is worth the extra money. It's great not to have to carry your luggage around on the day of your departure, as you check it in at the hotel and you don't see it again until to reach the airport when you land.

We hired a car and had a lovely day driving around the island. We met a lot of people who were on returning visits and we hope to return as soon as possible!!.

I stayed in the Maspalomas Princess side of the hotel in august. What can I say,it was truely amazing. The room we stayed in was immaculate, very open and simple, the best part being the air conditioning, which was wonderful.
The general hotel was sparkling clean, maids were doing a great job! Everything was clean, no dust or hidden dirt anywhere, the white floor was actually white!
The location was give or take, nice for some, not for others. Maspalomas was very plesent in general though!
The staff at reception were fantastic, very helpful and spoke fantastic English!
The highlight of this hotel for me was definately the entertainment, everything you could ever want. Magic, Parrot shows (which was not the best - i have to admit!)dancers and acrobatics which was great for all ages. The best entertainment I saw was the live music in the Maspalomas princess part of the hotel, the live music was by a band called Flash Union. i have never seen such a great band in my life! THe lead singer was amazing, she was also an amazing dancer, strutting her stuff on the stage most evenings, i must say, i dont half envy her wardrobe, overall the entertainment was great!

Got to agree with Mr Spanner (Paul) - this was not up to expectations. I've got to say that I cannot understand why everyone is so enthusiastic, because when we were there, there was a lot of moaning going on. Hotel is ok, but that is it, just ok. Yes, the waiters were not very friendly. Hotel dining room was like a big school dining hall, just as noisy and full of kids on their own, where are their parents?? Over the other side in the peace and quiet. Kids just ran riot everywhere - loads of teenagers in big groups.

Massive hotel, nice pool areas, beach area is a waste of time, hotel is just a big holiday camp. We wanted shade, had to be up at crack of dawn to make sure we got it.

Entertainment ranged from total c*** to completely dire.

I returned on 7th June from an 11 night holiday at
the Maspalomas Princess. Every one in my party was thoroughly impreessed with the hotel.

The Happy Hour in the bar was good value for money. We felt that the bar prices were fair and there was an excellent selection of cocktails. I felt that the staff were always polite and very professional at all times.

The pool area was very pleasant and was kept very clean. The two waiter service restaurants by the pool
were excellent. Try the Princess Salad at approx.7.5 euros it was a very generous portion and teamed with a bottle of wine at 11 euros, a really good value for money lunch.

The evening entertainment was o.k. if you were at a loose although with 3 teenagers in our party we had visits to the local fair and bowling alley.

Well, sorry to throw a spanner in the works but, travelled out on Saturday May 8th for a week, returned in the early hours of Sunday morning May 16th.
Just to indicate a bit of balance, I placed a review of the H10 Rubicon Palace (Lanzarote) about six weeks ago, which should indicate that I know a good Hotel when I stay in one!
Having been in the fortunate/unfortunate position of having an unexpected free week betwwen the above dates, we were undecided whether to just take a really really cheap late deal anywhere, or because of our tight travel times, eventually deciding to go for 'quality', and booked the above week through Thompson.
Having pre booked seats 10a 10b and in flight meal, our flight BY379 a/b uses a 757, not to be recommended very very cramped (757), plus first rick could not have our pre booked seats, and that was there and back, or no record of having paid for meals, these are minor issues but Thompsons none the less did not impress. On arrival at Las Palmas, approx 23.00 Thompsons again had no record of our booking, not that getting a taxi to the resort was any great problem, although then, as at this particular place you have two hotels mirroring each other Tabiba & Princess,as one hotel, tried checking in at Tabiba no record of us, hiked around to Princess, and half an hour later our booking was found! not a great start.
We were given room 0165, first impression was 'basic', but now late, dark and tired. On first light, and drawing the curtains,'disappointed'directly outside rooms on this level is part of the pool area, now a little difficult to explain but basically zero privacy, you could not walk out onto the pool area because there is a drop between the balcony and pool area but you could easily hold a conversation with anyone passing, another thing, depending on which room you get the area is very heavily planted with palmns etc, which tends to block out a lot of light.Having asked for alternative rooms, we were offered a room on the third floor, from memory 3085, took a look and although much more light, again no privacy as the rooms opposite are very very close, so eventually took room 1088, a bit more privacy and this room got the sun from about midday through to 19.00.About the rooms, no room service, no drink making facilities, tv with spanish /german channels but only english speaking channels were sky news, cnn and bbc world news, pay tv channels advertised, ( ie for movies) but do not work.I will put this bit in now, in case I forget, because we had a 23.20 flight home, wanted to have a late check out on the room, now the hotel was far from full, in fact any Thopmson allocated on arrival bookings seem to get this place, ( we were not on this basis having specifically booked it on reading good things)getting a late check out was not easy at all, even as stated hotel far from fully booked, but had to ask on a daily basis, come back tomorrow right up until actual departure day, to be told we cannot keep our room, but eventually on parting with £40 euros they let us have an identical room, next door until 20.00, why the need for this I know not but there you go,having done the above, we were not impressed when trying to enter the room at 18.00, to find we were locked out, maids had been in etc and reception thought we were leaving at 18.00, nothing to major there but irratating.
Location, pretty naff, no sea views, Faro 2 shopping centre 20 mins walk,do not bother, Le Faro the lighthouse, 20 mins walk ( brisk) or 3 euros taxi, better option, here you are on sea front of Maspalomas, to left some bars /resturents predominently for the German market then onto the dunes. To the right, is a nice walk along the sea front, lined with about 20 bars / resturents, best bar here buy far, the nintenth hole, all sports coverage, good entertainment, and good value tucker, nice atmosphere. For a much livlier atmosphere then you have to taxi into Playa Del Ingles, or Puerta Rico.

Anyway, never stayed at a hotel of this alledged quality before, where clean pool towels are £1 euro each per day, or where for mini golf, takes about ten minutes to go round they charge £7 euros.

Right, if there ever, as is posted some where in a previous report a 'team of top quality international chefs working here'then for our week they must have been on holiday, boom boom.Off the top of my head, in the last two years, stayed at
H10RubiconPalace(Lanza)H10 CostaAdejePalace(Tenerife) H10 Melonaras Playa(Gran Canaria)could not get there this time as fully booked, Noelia Sur (Tenerife)
Jacaranda (Tenerife) plus several lower quality ranked places where the food quality has always been v good to good, but here the food quality in my opinion was v poor.No show cooking as such, what you get at breakfast and evening meal times is one chef, who pre cooks whatever has been selected and piles it high under keep warm lights, worst breakfasts ever, anyone who is going, experience it and then post here I am wrong, ie, machined coffee rank, properly rank, incidently if you buy a coffee during the day it comes an an almost espresso sized cup, rank and a racket!back to breakfast, alledged standard breakfast fare of fried eggs and bacon ( imatating bacon) because you would not want to eat it!, even a request for chef to cook me an omlette was turned down, after which for the next few days, someones idea of an omletee like attempt was pre cooked and piled up, but disgusting.
After trying the evening fare once, that was enough for me, although my partner convinced me to give it one more try, which we wished we didnt.Ate out all the time after, however, now here you should take note, the is a lunch time resturent in the pool area, open plan called Hacienda, unfortunately they will not let you change your half board booking to take your meal here, because, low and behold food is excellent, but of course you are paying and get decent food, as opposed to the dross in the evening. What else, a few boutique type shops scattered about the place, a chemist, a paper shop, do not rely on opening times as seemed to open/close at will while we were there, several pool tables scattered about, at £2 euros a game, to me racket again.
Pool areas, in my opinion because of heavy planting of palm / fruit trees, the whole place gives a feeling of restricted light, now that is personal preference I know but I like light !, now you will probably think this really is being picky, but I like my swimming pools to 'feel' clean and 'blue',I will leave to your imagination what colour the water looks, mainly because of tile colour choice, but it is not blue, and well, just guess or if you have been tell me I am wrong!
Several other niggly things, but in a nutshell, we paid Thompson £800 for this week, and in my opinion not value, I will conceed there were people there who were 'regulars', this is our fourth / fifth time etc, and thought the place was the bees knees, most being families with young kids, and maybe ideal for them.
Would we go back?, I am not going to say 'no', all I will say is the only way we would ever stay here again for a week would be if we got it for £99 per person, and that would have to include flights !, so very very unlikely.
You pays your money and takes your chance, finally, Thompsons VIP island tour at £118 euros, would I recommend it, not on your life.

Be Lucky, and if you have been recently, post up and compare opinions.

We are just back from El Palmeras Bungalows in Maspalomas, gran canaria. (Easter week).

The Complex is all self catering, excellent pool, poolside bar which serves snacks and drinks, excelent.
Location is excellent a half hour walk to the beach, or by taxi which cost 3 Euros.

Staff at the hotel well really nice, there is a supermarket on site, which is quite adequate with fresh bread each morning.

The maid service was good, in every day, and our sheets changed once in the week.

There is a kettle, you can hire a toaster, fan, and iron. No air conditioning, but we did not need it in April.

fresh in our minds.

We especially would like to thank Thomson staff for their kindness during our holiday.

Just arrived back from a very enjoyable 2 weeks. Weather superb, food ok, kids very well looked after and entertained, but entertainment on some evenings was very poor. Having said that just booked again for next year and can't wait to go back.

Stayed for 2 weeks with friends at the Maspalomas Princess had an excellent holiday. Weather was very good - decent temperatures every day. One day at a what the rep called a climata - [sand storm] everywhere was over cast but soon brightened up the next day. The food in this hotel was first class - they catered for all tastes and nationalities. The staff were always helpful in bars, restaurants and reception nothing appeared too much trouble. The whole place from swimming pools to bars to rooms was spotless - teams of young men walking around frequently picking up litter. The entertainment was some of the best i have seen - even a live disco for the children. We have two great nights out with Thomson's one to Garbo's and the other to Sioux city - not to be missed. The organisation was superb and the reps did their best to ensure everyone was looked after. The only slight down side for this hotel is its location - it was not too probblemtic for us because we like walking but for some it may seem out of it, however taxis are very reasonable. The pool area is set out like a beach - We all found this a very relaxing holiday where we could chill out, eat well, drink and be merry, Will definitely go again.

Well what can I say? We stayed at The Taibiba Princess side of the two hotels and the hotel is magnificent to say the least.

We went in low season but there was still plenty of entertainment on offer at this time of the year.

The two low points of this accomodation were 1. The location, we found ourselves jumping into taxis to get around, as the best shops were a good 15 - 20 min walk away.

2. The hotel did not have room service. For a four star hotel, I expected to grab a bite to eat on my late arrival, none available!!

Overall though, this hotel is pretty amazing, great pools, rooms, staff, the lot. I would recommend to anyone for their first trip to Maspalomas.

What a simply MAGNIFICENT place!!! I recently spent one of the best weeks' holiday of my life in this absolutely GORGEOUS hotel and can't say a single bad word about the place!

I've never seen anything quite like the pool area... it's absolutely ENORMOUS with tropical bars and restaurants dotted about, some situated on islands connected by bridges, and the man-made beach is actually really nice - but if you try to walk across it, it's a good idea to take your flip-flops/sandals off first or it can get quite uncomfortable! Finding a sunbed was no problem at all (there must be at least 700 or so), but I should imagine it might get busier during the peak season...

The rooms are beautiful as well - lovely and large with masses of drawer/wardrobe space, minibar/fridge to rent, safety deposit box, beautiful bathrooms and very good air-conditioning (please note - as in most hotels now, it cuts out if you open the patio doors). I was in the Tabaiba Princess, but as the hotels are mirror-images, I should imagine that the rooms in the Maspalomas are identical.

Food at this hotel really has to be experienced to be believed - both quantity and quality! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all more than enough to satisfy even the fussiest eater, and a take-away bar in the middle of the beach provides fast food style snacks during the daytime. An a-la-carte option is also available at dinner at no extra cost - you just need to inform your waiter/waitress. The main restaurant is absolutely gorgeous as well - if you're seated at the far end, you get to sit and watch a beautiful waterfall whilst you eat.

The entertainment here is of a very high standard indeed - having seen the resort, I would be wary of staying in some other places in Maspalomas as it seems to offer very little in the way of bars/evening entertainment.

The hotel has two piano bars with live music nightly, the Tabaiba bar has a large TV screen which is used to show live football matches, and each hotel has its own entertainment room with cabarets at staggered times (Tabaiba at 9:45, Maspalomas at 10:45) making it possible to see both if you're quick, and each bar has its own live band. Tabaiba's (Le Piaf) plays mainly more subdued ballroom-style music, whereas Maspalomas' (Flash Union) plays more upbeat and mainstream music. A special mention has got to go to Maribel, the lead singer of Flash Union - her energetic (and sometimes downright unpredictable!) performances kept the Maspalomas' room full right until the end of their show and are WELL worth seeing - plus she does an absolutely FANTASTIC rendition of Lady Marmalade!!

There aren't an awful lot of shops nearby, but there is a small supermarket at the rear of the hotel near the rear exit, which is located by the mini-golf at the Tabaiba Princess side of the complex. The Faro 2 shopping centre is about 15-20 minutes walk away, but taxis are plentiful (and cheap), and either reception will call you a taxi for no extra cost.

It can be confusing to find your way around in thie hotel, as the two reception and lower ground areas near the restaurant are very similar, but a good little tip I discovered early on is to look at the freestanding floor lamps - those in the Tabaiba Princess are green the reception and blue in the lower ground area, and those in the Maspalomas are pink in reception and brown in the lower ground area.

I would THOROUGHLY recommend this hotel to people of all ages, as anything you'd ever want, it can supply with consummate ease... I'll certainly be back sometime soon!

Just got back from Maspalomas/Tabaiba Princess, and it was EVERY INCH as good as I can remember - if not better! This time I was lucky enough to get a room with a real sun-trap of a balcony facing the pool-area (3237 in Tabaiba - top floor, on the gallery above the reception area). I think it works out that if you book through Thomson Platinum, you get put into the Maspalomas wing, and if you choose Portland, you go into Tabaiba - not that there's any difference, apart from the colour-scheme. Rooms are unchanged from last year... good-sized, nice balconies, good air-conditioning etc. Some are larger with sofa-beds in them (obviously intended for families), and rooms with interconnecting doors are also available.

The entertainment was once again excellent... the Tabaiba side cabaret room was closed whilst I was there, but there were still two cabarets every night in the Maspalomas one, ranging from the in-house team's own shows (they were pretty good as well!), to dancers, singers, and a Hawaiian/Polynesian troupe. Others in the second week (there's a rolling 2-week programme, so if you're there for a fortnight, you could theoretically see all 14 cabarets) included a magic show, Abba tribute, Elvis impersonator, flamenco show, Brazilian dance show (I saw this one last year - very good indeed), arabian dance show and several more of the in-house team's shows.

There were three choices of live music this time - there was a pianist in the Maspalomas piano-bar, a duo in the Tabaiba piano bar (sometimes there was live football on the big TV screen instead though), and a live band - the absolutely brilliant Flash Union, who were there last year - in the Maspalomas cabaret room. Flash Union are even better than I remember as well... greater variation of songs, and the four artists are absolutely SUPERB (particularly my good friend Maribel, the singer... WHAT a voice she has!!) WELL worth a listen to!! The Maspalomas cabaret room is open until midnight, and the piano-bars until 1am.

There's still bags going on during the daytime - loads of sports activities, kids club, competitions etc., the sauna/massage island was being well used, and the mini-golf and giant chessboard were both still functioning. From 3:30-4:30 there's a special offer on coffee and a cake at the "Coco-Loco" pool bar - large slice of cake and a coffee/tea for E2.90, and from 5:00-6:00 there's a happy hour in both piano-bars... order one drink and get two (cocktails and speciality coffees excluded).

Food... well, what can I say!! They must have a world-class team of chefs there, because once again, I enjoyed every mouthful of every meal I had. The table-service was of the very highest quality, and the daily specials in the Hacienda and La Pasta poolside a-la-carte restaurants were second to none!!

Pools/pool area... once again, immaculately maintained and MASSES of sunbeds... during my stay, every morning I could wander outside at 11am and still have about 60 or 70 free ones to choose from!

Service/staff friendliness... second to none!! The staff are all so lovely, and a lot of them speak excellent English - not just the entertainers too - there was one particular waitress who was more or less fluent, and always had a chat with me as she was clearing my table! Any faults were attended to very promptly... my air-conditioning suffered a terminal leak whilst I was there, and there was a brand new unit in place within 20 minutes of me reporting it.

In my mnd, this hotel complex simply can NOT be beaten... it's twice managed to surpass my every expectation of it, and I can't wait until my next visit... because I WILL be back!!

I think that the hotel cleanliness is at an excellant standard and so are the provided facilities. The hotel food was varied and at a high standard once again.

The hotel and its surroundings is very relaxing. I would like to comment on the staff in the way in which they were very obliging.

The entertainment was quite enjoyable and catered for all ages. The reason why i would visit this hotel again would be because everything about was at an extremely high standard.
