| said: The rooms in the Park Royal are excellent. Ours was very spacious, due to the fact it was a corner room. We also had a balcony, although not every room does.
The room was spotless, with a nice big walk in shower, in the bathroom. Toiletries were provided, so maybe you could save some room, in your case!!! The rooms had a t.v, iron, ironing board, hair dryer & mini-bar. Was surprised,to find they used the same plugs,as us!!
The whole of the hotel was spotless & cannot be faulted.
Breakfast was buffet style & had plenty to choose from. Cereals ,fresh fruit, yogurts, cakes, toast, juices, then all the hot stuff. The eggs were cooked to order however you wanted them!! Plenty of curry & noodles as well but must admit, we gave them a miss!
Tried room service once, when I was drunk. Will say the the chips, were the best I have ever tasted, but at £5 a go, hubby never let me try them again!
We never tried any of the restaurants as I can never justify, the prices they charge.
The hotel has a great location as it is practically in the middle of the main road.
The staff were very helpful & polite nothing too much trouble & always had a smile on their face.
Cannot comment on the entertainment at night, as we never stayed in, as again I cannot justify the bar prices.
There was watersports on the beach which had the best prices I have ever seen.
There was also pool, darts, table-tennis & tennis.
There was also a fantastic kids club ,made me wish we had took our granddaughter she would have loved it!!
There was also 2 pools surrounded,by lovely gardens, which also had a nice bar & some massage huts. There were certainly, no fightsfor the sun beds!
If I returned to Penang, it would be definitely to this hotel.
