| said: Stayed at the Jumeirah Essex House for five nights over the August Bank holiday. The greeting and check in was superb staff very helpful. We were initially given a room on the third floor but moved the next day to the 19th floor. The rooms and all areas were impeccably clean as one would expect from a five star hotel. The rooms were small but adequate and comfortable. The lighting system can be used to create various moods and is operated by the telephone and is easy to fathom out. There is movement sensor lighting The beds were very comfortable with a turn down service each night. Great views over Central Park.
Clean towels were replaced daily and the bathroom kept very clean indeed. Room service and house keeping was fast thorough and efficient.
The hotel is situated on Central Park south and is in an ideal position to explore Manhattan. Quite near to Broadway and all that you would want to visit. The staff bend over backwards to accomodate your every need and are cheerful and very helpful.
Although a tad on the expensive side I would definitely return and stay here again. It was like a home from home.
