| said: Stayed here last August, first impression was that it was lovely and clean. It was quite out of the way from everything, but you could quite easily get on the Dolmas into town (a little bus where you literally end up squashed like a tin of sardines). We got there at tea time so we decided to have a wander. We were very impressed with what we saw, beautifully laid out, with it's own beach and jetty. It's got a few pools, one has waterslides, a beauty salon, shops, boutiques, an underground disco, and not forgetting the ampitheatre!
One moan would be that there were a lot of steps there, the ampitheatre was up a lot of steps, and the three bars were on the ground floor, so when you went for the obligatory kids club and entertainment it wasd a real pain if you ran out of drinks!
In general though, the place was smashing. The food was a little repetitive, but I think you will find that with most AI holidays. (The bread was fantastic, especially the chilli one - yum!)
There was a pancake bar during breakfast time which was gorgeous, you could always get eggs, soft or hard boiled, and of an evening there was always fish and meat on the grill, with the usual chips, salad and Turkish cuisine, well you are in Turkey, holiday in England if you want English food!
The entertainment staff and reps worked hard, keeping the children entertained. They tried to get you to join in the games etc but weren't pushy, and left you alone if you said no. The bar staff were mostly friendly, and if you gave them a tip now and again they were even more friendly! The cleaning and maintenance staff were excellent, and worked very hard to keep the hotel in tip top condition. The reception staff were always on hand and willing to help.
The shop was daylight robbery, having said that, the guy working there was lovely and my two girls came out with freebies most days, which sort of compensated for the high prices.
Room was basic, but cleaned regularly, and to be honest, how much time do you spend in your room on holiday? It doesn't need to be The Waldorf.
All in all, had a fab time here, and would visit again.
