WE STAYED AT THE WELLINGTON HOTEL OVER ST PATRICKS DAY THIS YEAR AND IS WAS EXCELLENT!!! WE STAYED IN A ONE BEDROOM APT AND IT WAS HUGE, BEDS WHERE GREAT SOOOOO COMFORTABLE, THE ROOM WAS CLEANED EVERY DAY WITH FRESH TOWELS AND TOILETRIES PROVIDED. THE STAFF WHERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE ROOMS DO NEED A LITTLE UPGRADING BUT I FOUND THEM GREAT,TYPICAL OLD STYLE AMERICAN. THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL IS EXCELLENT 2MINS FROM CENTRAL PARK,5MINS TO TIMES SQUARE AND RIGHT OPPOSITE BROADWAY PERFECT LOCATION!!! ANYONE GOING MUST TRY THE HOTEL'S PARK CAFE IF YOU CAN GET A TABLE THE FOOD IS BEAUTIFUL, STAFF ARE A LITTLE GRUMPY BUT THINK THIS IS DUE TO HOW BUSY THEY ARE!!!

Like everyone else i was a little concerned to say the least, last family holiday as 18&17 year olds dont want to holiday with parents. The hotel location is fabulous next door to carnegie hall 5 minute walk to central park or times square, the rooms need some tlc which i believe was happening as we left , the heating does make weird noises at night and the window needs to opened slightly to get some fresh air,but the rooms are cleaned every day but certain areas are missed the roller blind for example ,bathrrom is clean and tidy and the shower works, we were on the seventh floor in 2 rooms and both rooms were in a similar state of repair. Dont be put of by this review though because the bed is comfortable and we found the staff helpful and polite. if like my wife you need an early coffee the hotel diner is cheaper than room service. This location is close to a lot of good places to eat whatever your taste or budget you wiil find great food reasonably pricedi wont name any not because of laziness but to be honest we never found one that was less than satisfying. would i stay at the wellington again yes especially if they clean it up this hotel could be a jewel in new yorks crown.

This hotel is in a great location, facilities are a little dated but the hotel is clean and comfortable. However, ater a few nights, our room was visited by vermin who decided to eat their way through the chocolate and cigarettes in our suitcases (which made an awful mess). When we contacted reception, they were very helpful and agreed to move us instantly. The porter let slip that this wasn't an uncommon occurence and was due to the fact that the hotel is just above the subway station. All I can say is they must be pretty determined vermin to travel up 21 floors. Just make sure you don't leave any food in your room if visiting this hotel.

Good location and just what we expected, lets face it you are only in your room to sleep anyway.

The shower was too powerful and would not adjust. Fridge and microwave in the room although we never used them.

The cafe under the hotel is one of the best I have used in the whole of America and I would highly recommend it, queues are quiet long but move fast.

I would certainly stay again.

There is no entertainment, as if you need it!!

We did worry before arriving at this hotel, having seen bad reviews elsewhere, but were very pleased with the outcome. The hotel did need some modernisation, but rooms were clean and reasonable for the price we paid. The location of the hotel was excellent. You could see Times Square, very short walk indeed and the underground just on the corner.

Hotel staff were average, but helped us organise a Limo for the journey back to the airport. Very good value if there are more than 4 people travelling together.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, if a good deal was available.

Having read reviews about this hotel I was quite nervous. However it was excellent.

The location was unquestionable, right by times square and near the subway also a two minute walk from Central Park.

Our first room was a little small (not that it matters as all it's there for is to sleep and wash) but we moved due to radiator problems and that room was a lot more spacious. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed. Admittedly the decor was a bit dated but that doesn't affect your stay.

All in all can't really fault.
