| said: The first week we was very disappointed with the food and the location. The food was cold and not much choice at all the same things served over and over again if not used in a similar dish the next day very little choice for children menu. My child lived on chips and ice cream for 2 weeks.
The location was very out the way you had to walk across waste land to get near the town or beach. Very nice walk along the front thought if you are used to walking.
Week 2 we hire a car which was pretty cheap for a weeks hire and we got about the island very easy in the car. Very nice scenery around the Lanzarote island.
Would go back to Lanzarote but stay in the Puerto del Carmen area more lively.

| said: Arrived mid evening to find restaurant closed but staff had reserved a cold meal for us - good start we thought however we quickly realised that the food throughout the week was little more than adequate often only luke warm and not very varied.
Chips were on offer every night except one and other vegetables were limited to one type only so no huge variations though there was plenty of salad and a couple of main meal choices. We were given a guideline sheet of what was on offer, what the maid service was like and times etc, however we found that what was written down was rarely followed.
Our towels were supposed to be changed 3 times in the week but were changed once, the sheets likewise was supposed to be the once but that didn't happen at all. Our apartment was cleaned 3 times during our stay though this was mainly limited to just making the beds.
Location - not too bad if you have a car or are prepared to use buses or taxis (only a few Euros into town each way) however quite isolated otherwise. The town was quiet but had plenty of bars, restaurants and a few supermarkets and the usual tourist type shops.
If you have a car access is pretty easy to the rest of the island but we would have been very disappointed if we didn't have one.
Hotel staff seemed friendly enough and for the most part spoke 4/5 languages reasonably well.
Entertainment....oh dear....butlins meets hi-de-hi but with only a couple of staff doing EVERYTHING! Very amateurish though they did work hard. For all that, its fine if you don't mind a couple of hours of childrens entertainment, bingo, karaoke, quiz etc but there were no other facilities other than an internet cafe and certainly nowhere else to sit other than in your apartment or in the bar (we ended up sitting in reception drinking every night as the bar was too full - only about 50 seats for everyone!).
There was a bar by the pool but that closed at 6pm - this had at least a pool table which worked (unlike the one in the main bar) but since it was in darkness and cold it was not feasible to go and sit out there. We would certainly not stay again at the Riosol bungalows.

| said: The Bungalows are set out around 2 large swimming pools and a smaller childrens pool and all areas are very clean.
The food was often only just warm and there was very little choice. Overall the food was of a very poor quality.
Hotel is situated on a main road with the nearest shops about 3/4 mile away and the beach about 1 mile away. A free bus runs from the hotel to the beach 3 times a day.
Hotel staff were very helpful and did a good job.
Evening entertainment was very limited. In 6 nights we had 2 live shows and 4 quizes. Entertainment area/bar very dark and in need of re-decoration. The chairs were also very worn and some needed replacing.
I would not visit this hotel again.
