| said: My children & I stayed at this hotel for one week and it was quite a late booking. When we first arrived we were greeted by a not so happy local receptionist who looked like he lost his humour in 1972!!!!
The rooms were pleasent and clean but looked like they were last decorated when Maggie Thacther was in power. We had to ask for our beds to be changed & after the forth day of our towels not being changed we bit the bullit & purchased our own.
Food......... well what can I say, had mussels with crabs inside! Burgers were still alive & one breakfast we had a choice of green beans, sprouts, cauliflower to accompany the frankfurter sausages which hadn't seen the inside of an oven!
Location was good because we were close to restaurants that decided to cook there food & bars with a good atmosphere!
Staff......... about as happy as a kid that just found out Father Christmas isn't real!! Drinks were flat & watered down!! Entertainemt was good but they decided to finish at ten when the 25 watered down bacardi's decided to take effect!
The entertainer kept sneaking off for some cheeky not watered down drinks & by ten was the only one who was tipsy.......should have had what he was drinking!
On a serious note the hotel was half empty but they couldn't cope so god knows what happens in peak season!!
Pool was excellent but a little cold. Pool was five star hotel was one star.......don't come in after 1am otherwise you will be sleeping on the street might not be a bad thing!

| said: Arrived 2nd March '08.
ROOM:
Spacious living area with table, chairs, settee, storage unit and tv (had to pay to see any progs, we paid 18Euro for 6 nights but BEWARE ! Channel 34 is 24/7 'adult content' but it can be blocked by asking at reception).
Small kitchen area,Cooker,Sink,Fridge(Crockery, cutlery, pans but no kettle (7Euro)).
Bedroom with twin beds, dressing table, wardrobe (keycode safe 15.40Euro).
Big terrace with patio doors from living room and bedroom.
Hotel was very clean while we were there.
FOOD:
Not as much variety as we have seen at other AI's but of a decent quality, food was checked and replaced at regular intervals. Management would often eat in the restaurant to monitor the standard.
All the hotel staff that we came in to contact with were friendly and helpful.
LOCATION:
Is good, I have walking difficulties and still it did not seem far to the beach and shops.
If you go here self catering then there is no problem, there are supermarkets and places to eat right outside.
There is an excellent chinese across the road.
ENTERTAINMENT:
Always started with a kid's disco and a game of bingo, then varied brought in acts through the week, only Thursday, when nothing happens and one night kareoke. We saw to excellent dance acts and a very good juggling/balancing act.
We would use this hotel again.

| said: This was a christmas and New Year (2 week) holiday.
All incusive? When the brochure say's local wines and spirit you think ok. What you get in fact is no wine which means no sangria. Wine was only available with the evening meal.
Cleanliness: As things go it was cleen and in good repair. Only downside you are askes to put "used toilet paper in the bin"? Not even a cover on the bin.
Food: Good and fresh not a lot of choice though. Only one veg served if you were lucky. One night only sweetcorn was offer with the evening meal.
Location: 5 minuets to the beech. Old reception scruffy and run down, a haven for unsupervcied children to run riot in, new reception very smart.
Hotel staff: Not very friendly until time to go home.
Entertainment: Usual stuff you come to exspect.
Stay Here Again: I don't think so. If we did it certainly would not be all inclusive as it is not value for money. We might concider B&B though because over all the place was spacious and plenty of pools to choose from.

| said: me and my five year old stayed at the el trebol for seven days and was a little worried after reading some reports but i think things must of changed as we had no problem with the hotel. food was fine there was always something to eat including fish, chicken, steak, chops etc. kjell who was the dj in the bar was fantastic all the kids loved him he does a mini disco and teaches them dance routines. all the staff was really friendly and polite. rooms were spacious with big balconies. four pools all were freezing but kids loved it especially the water slides and fountains. close to supermarket and shopping centre and beach were five minutes walk away. i would definatly reccomend all inclusive as there is not much difference in the price and is well worth it. i would go back here again as me and my daughter did not want to come home. but do be warned if taking children theres a woman who comes into the bar selling flashy toys at quite expensive prices and they always brake ten minutes after she has gone.

| said: Apartment had a fusty smell to the bed room's though it was clean .Food was not to bad plenty of it.
location a bit of a walk now they have built a new check in desk.
Hotel staff very friendly complex very clean,
Entertainment not bad could do with more variety.
Would not go back again to this hotel it was alright for a week one off. For what we paid not to bad. If you go self-catering you have to hire all your cooking equipment & kettle, microwave which we thought was bad as you could not make a drink so take a travel kettle with you if you go All Inclusive.

| said: Well been back a week we were unlucky with bad weather for 3 days but ok value for money.
Pool is cold but kids go in for 20 mins adults 2 min.
Snack bar ok.
Entertainment staff made a big diffrence to my lads holiday only at mini disco but in fairness to them low season tired teddys we as a family had a chill out well needed.
The sea is warm in places you can see the warm currents very windy area although hotel complex is designed to shield it.
All in all I would go back but the only complaint I personaly have having stayed at a lot of all inclusive around the world this hotel needs to close pool bar in winter unless they decide to heat the pools if only one of them. Although they make money from tvs in room I believe they would make more with sports entertainment and kids in main bar or open up entertainment areas. I don't know anybody who goes on holiday young or old to stay in their room but as promised kcell and Gita entertainment Alistair won't stop singing cowboy and ring ring. Appologies if I got your names spelt wrong but that's what I was given.
If you get it reasnobly cheap enjoy or check weather before you book but all in all no probs

| said: Hotel was terrible, and thats being nice.
We arrived to find that they were building right outside our room - Diggig machine. The back view was roofs missing, dirty pizza boxes - just over the balcony floor, inside broken hanging lamp, and ours was the newly redecorated lot, are they for sure - haha/
All inclusive was a shame, lived on chips and rolls for two weeks, food was raw, drinks well, I didnt even get tipsy on 55 vodkas. So many complaints, they had to hire a chef!!.The queue with furious people including me, was huge. Once home we complained and got compensation, it did not cover the money we spent and I would never return even if it was for free...
Hotel from hell...staff working for kids club were really nice, entertainment and 4 swimming pools were good.

| said: Hotel entrance was near supermarkets, bars and an arcade which was all very handy. Reception was spacious with internet, pool table and plenty of comfy seating.
Reception staff were friendly and spoke good english.
Initially we were disappointed with our apartments as they were very basic but they were spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfy and apartments had big balconies.
The kitchen, although well equipped, was very small and wouldn't have been easy if we were self-catering. I"d recommend up-grading to half board or even all inclusive as it was very good value to do so. The food was varied, fresh and tasty and there was plenty of it. Even fussy eaters and vegetarians were catered for!
The pool area was stunning, with lots of sunbeds and again was very clean. The kids loved their pool with its slides and fountains. Water was freezing but that never seems to bother kids!
Daytime entertainment was usually sporting activities including mini-golf, football and table-tennis comps.
Evening entertainment was ok with mini discos for the kids and some pretty good entertainers eg brazilian dancers and argentinian artistes. Resident entertainers were very enthusiastic and the children loved them- you can't ask for more than that!
We were there during the footie world cup, so had to wait til after matches for entertainment to start which isn't great if you're rugby or cricket fans!!
To sum up, we had a great time, no-one wanted to go home and we'd definitely go back.

The pool area was nice, but pool very cold.
A bit of an empty place in the winter time, not many about.
The entertainment at night was good and past the time.

| said: OK; where do I start? Hotel sandwiched between supermarkets, bars and an arcade - no obvious entrance but once you walk through the alleyway, it's there. Clean, spacious and orderly foyer. polite Spanish reception staff and attractive, well-kept grounds with three large pools. That's the good bit.
On closer inspection, the whole comple is tatty, run-down and in dire need of repair and a good lick of paint. Just a few of our problems included:
Musty, stale-smokey rooms, wobbly or broken furniture, light bulbs missing and one, dangerous lamp with flex and wires hanging out. Severely broken balcony with chunks of breeze bock on display and missing cover/awning, massive hole in bath with rust which had been botched up with caulking and slapped-on enamel paint.
(This came away in my husband's bath one evening). Tepid, lukewarm water in bathroom (we never once needed to use the cold taps!). Rep had a cut over his eye after being thumped by an unhappy customer (he told us this!).
We were moved when the hotel saw the pictures I'd taken and given the keys to two, upgraded apartments to choose from. Both had rusty baths with mildew around the seals etc. We chose the quieter of the two rooms. Same musty stale mell, and, new problems, namely a short circuit electrical system which shorted each time you turned the cooker on, and a leak from the bathroom sink.
Food was a challenge to be honest - my husband called it the Bushtucker Trial.
All in all, a disgrace and won't come again. I am sure some guests were happy enough with it, but we've travelled a lot and have standards. Never gone Half Board before and it's put us off ever going this way again. It's not even as if you can get a decent restaurant nearby.

| said: Well I must say I thought the El Trebol was a brilliant.
Hotel - it was clean, safe, tidy and decorated very nice. The food was good, the location was good too. Just a few mins walk to the shops, there was a fantastic bar just a few meters around the corner which was called Caspa Jaks which was fantastic.( if you see the Drag Queens advertised there make sure you go to see them as they were fantastic). The hotels entertainment was brilliant too.
I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

| said: Hi there just wanted to say that I to have standards and have had two good holidays staying at the El Trebol. I have stayed in much more expensive hotels with fancy decor and smart staff and luxury fittings but I have come to the conclusion that as long as the place is clean and safe the frills are not that important. Although yes it does need a makeover, the facilities are good the entertainment fantastic.
The pools spacious with lots of sunbeds and great kids slides etc.
The food although not the best is tasty with plenty of choice and no restriction on consumption.
The surrounding area although commercial and a bit shabby has everything you need for a good family holiday and the beaches are superb.
I have just booked our third holiday to the El Trebol I'm sure it will be just as good as ever. A bargain (£1300 for 2 adults and 2 children half board )no frills family holiday.
One more thing don't miss Ruben the one man show he is fantastic.
Bye bye
