| said: On arrival we were really impressed with the hotel and even more so with our spacious room and great view.
The food in this hotel is dismal to say the least. Very limited choice at any meal, the food was always cold even when fresh trays arrived.
As the week went on the pool became dirtier with scum floating on top. Only saw someone check the water once in our stay and the maintenance guy seemed quite unconcerned by peoples complaints.
On the second day of our stay there was a fire in the hotel and people had to be rescued by hotel management from the top floor by climbing over balconies. No fire escapes and it took the fire service 20 minutes to arrive. There did not seem to be any fire drill in place and you would have thought that with the previous fires at this hotel they would have perfected it by now. Not a place for the faint hearted and more luck than judgement that someone was not seriously hurt.

| said: Very impressed with this hotel and its staff. It was unusually quiet with no queueing for meals or sunbeds. Spacious rooms, clean and all facing the same way. Good swimming pool. Well worthy of its 4 stars, i found some of the previous comments a little harsh and not typical. The staff were pleasant, helpfull and hard-working. Hotel entertainment not my cup of tea anywhere but plenty of the guests of all ages enjoyed the shows.
Overall a very relaxing hotel and best of all if you just want to lay in the sun with a non stop supply of alcohol (if you go all inclusive) then look no further.
Guests from all over europe of all ages. Will be taking our kids next time.

| said: The first afternoon we went to the pool bar to have a snack, the food looked excellent, the sparrows and pigeons were really tucking in, they were on the bread rolls, the utensils, the plates, there was even one in the salad cabinet, a man had to open both doors to let it out. So we did not eat there again as we thought it very unhygienic.
The bird droppings were all over the plastic chairs and tables, the waiters wiped the tables? But not the chairs.
We ate in the main restaurant the food was reasonable but very repetitive, the dinning room chairs were the dirtiest I have ever had to sit on, they were covered in stains, I complained about one but the following night it was back in the same dirty state. Apart from that, it was OK.

| said: We have often stayed at all inclusive hotels and believe it is time we changed. The drink in the hotel was branded spirits which was a nice change and the cava was excellent.
However the food in the main restaurant was definitely boring. The breakfasts were good and a wide variety of choice. Lunch was ok and the soup was excellent. The evening meals were repeated throughout the week and definitely boring with no flavour or spices.
There are 2 restaurants which I recommend boooking for. If the meals in the main restaurant had been up to this standard it would have been a great holiday.
The entertainment was again the same almost everynight. if you don't like watching dancing don't bother going

| said: First time at an all inclusive hotel and to be honest we were pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent, plenty of variety and always well presented and cooked meals were piping hot whilst the salads were nice and fresh and really "clean".
Drinks were international brands apart from the likes of Jack Daniels which you had to pay for. Room was good with a king size bed and a camp bed for our son.
Staff were extremely pleasant and were very helpful. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss, some acts being very good and some pretty bad.
Plenty of sunbeds available so no having to get up at the crack of dawn to get one. We were there for a week which I think was long enough do not think I would like to do 2 weeks, saying that we are planning to go back for week this time next year.

| said: My husband and I stayed in this hotel in may we found the hotel very nice the food was fine and the entertainment was OK.
The only thing was it is a good half an hour's walk in to the centre.
It is nice hotel if you want a nice quiet relaxing holiday and if you want to stay in the hotel all the time we were all inclusive and had all our meals in the hotel every day.
The pool bar was fine for cold drinks but we did not eat at the outside bar thought the food was not up to much.
The rooms were very nice and very clean and big plenty of room.
The bar staff were nice and there was waiter service if you did not want to go to the bar.
Your choice if you want to tip or not but a euro now and again puts a smile on their face and keeps the drinks coming.
The pool is cold but I didn't think it was really cold
You also get to pick a night at the grill or Italian once a week we choose the grill the steak was spot on could not complain.

| said: My husband, myself and our 2 children aged 7 and 11 months old and my mother went for 1 week at the Occidental Allegro Oasis. All inclusive.
Cheaper to book with Alpha rooms or med hotels.com and excel airways.
Get a taxi when you get there it isn't far at all.
We went for just a weeks break away from the awful winter weather in the UK.
We wasn't bothered about anywhere lively, but we like nice hotels.
This hotel was very good and as soon as we walked in the reception we were impressed. It was very palatial.
The rooms we were given were fantastic. We were so impressed when we walked in. The bathroom has double sinks.Spotlessly clean. The rooms are carpeted in cream so no noise from above you. The veranda was the biggest I have ever had in a hotel. The view! What a view. Overlooking the ocean. I wouldn't have liked to have been on the other side of the hotel as you would have been looking at the de salination plant. Not a pretty site. I think you see that from the family block. Try and get in the main hotel part as the views are better. We fortunately were given 2 rooms. My mother had booked a single but we asked for our 7 year old to be out with her for company. We shared a room with our 11 month old. The maids were so nice and put our little girls toys all lined up neat and tidy in her cot every day.
The beach isn't much of a beach but it is okay to go and sit for a while.
The hotel cleanliness is very good. The only dirt we noticed was on the bar canopy inside the hotel, it was dirty and could have done with a clean.
The food quality was excellent just not enough choice. Breakfast choice was great. There was snacks outside at lunch self service and they were okay.
The hotel location could have done with being slightly nearer Costa Teguise but we still enjoyed it.
The kids club was great and the team so dedicated and nice to the kids. We never saw our 7 year old.
All in all a great holiday.
Our 7 year old was crying on the plane as he loved it so much. We will go back again in October 2006.

| said: The hotel itself was clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned every day and on first impressions I thought this was going to be a fab hotel.
The head waiter is downright rude. The dining area is dis-organised if you want to eat 8pm onwards you have to que for 45mins and when you get into the dinning area half the tables are empty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The food was ok.
The al a carte restaurantes are good and the staff are friendly.I complained to the management about the dining area who were very friendly, Christina was very professional and very helpful.
I would never visit an Occidental hotel again as this experience has put me off-I do not expect to queue for my evening meal for 45mins in a 4star hotel.
I would class this hotel as a 3star maximum.
