Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was wonderful. We booked flights and hotel separately and got a bargain. It worked out cheaper to book the hotel Thursday to Sunday not sure why but anyway.
Our room was on the 9th floor.
New York is quite noisy so be prepared. The hotel has a fab location just a couple of blocks from Times square and central park.
Hotel itself is quite expensive for food and drinks but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Hotel was elegant and comfortable and as we were there at the beginning of December all the holiday lights and decorations were up and it looked particularly beautiful.
Rooms were spacious and very clean.
Perfect location, pretty central for all locations. Staff not overly friendly (but that just might be New Yorkers in general!.
To eat at the hotel was very expensive and there were no tea making facilities in the room. $18 for two cups of tea ordered through room service!!!
Great deli across the road (Bunny's)for snacks and a perfect cup of English tea!!!

Stayed in this hotel for New Year and it was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, definitely 5 star value.
Only one problem we had was because we didn't have a credit card for the hotel to hold details of in case of damage which caused a few hassles. But in general staff helpful.
Rooms beautifully decorated and spacious. Not too noisy considering New York is very noisy!
All in all a fabulous hotel within easy walking distance of Times Square and would definitely stay there again should I go back to New York.
