| said: The Hotel Grand Union is in the perfect location for exploring New York.
Hotel is dated, but the rooms were clean and serviced each day. This is not an upmarket hotel. But given the length of time you will spend in the room, its perfect.
Helpful staff, who organised return taxi for us to the airport.
Small cafe attached. Great food and fantastic service. Food available to take out to your room.
Empire state building and Maceys only a few blocks away.

| said: A clean, safe hotel in a good location. We got a good deal ($480 for 3 nights) and it was adequate for our needs. The hotel was slightly in disrepair - the bathroom door did not close and the air conditioning was extremely noisy. I would recommend this for a cheap, basic stay in the winter, but if the air con in all the rooms were as noisy as ours then I wouldn't stay in the summer.

| said: The room was clean and nicely decorated which was perfect for the amount of time we would need to be in it. It wasn't a flash hotel but who needs one when all you do is sleep in it. The hotel has a breakfast area attached to it which did really nice omlettes and had friendly nice staff.
The hotel location was a couple of blocks from the Empire State building which we found to be in the right position for us to get around so no problems with that.
The hotel staff were very helpful making phone calls for us when we needed to check on things. No complaints at all.
We would definately go back to this hotel as it met all our requirements for our city break.

| said: This hotel was very clean ,in an excellent location with Empire state building,Penn st station ,times square ,Macys, 5th Avenue all within a couple of minutes walking distance. I wouldnt hesitate to use this hotel again.
