| said: The Nichupte Spa Resort is a basic 3* hotel in its present state. The food is adequate. There are 3 restaurants and one snack bar. Only one restaurant is open at any one time and the snack bar is open between 11.00am and 6.00pm. I would not advise anyone to eat from the snack bar. The meals are all served buffet style and the waiters will get whichever drink you require with your meal. Types of food available takes some getting used to but there is some variety. Vegetarians may struggle sometimes.
The rooms are basic, no tea/coffee facilities and no fridge. A/C works well and there is always hot water. The rooms are cleaned every day with a towel and linen change at the same time. Other areas of the hotel appeared to be resonably clean.
The location of this hotel is about a 10 min bus ride into downtown Cancun, which is where you will find the locals or the other direction, Party Zone which is the tourist area. It is not in a pretty location and there is no beach. You need to walk about 5/10 minutes to find the nearest beach area.
The staff are helpful and friendly. They do their best under the circumstances.
There is no entertainment.
This hotel has promise but they need to work a bit harder and provide all the facilities mentioned on other websites to achieve its advertised 4A rating.
