Stayed here last weekend, with a party of 7 friends (all Hol truths members!). The hotel is situated at the top end of Broad Street behind Orleans bar. There is a secure car park (free). Check in was a bit slow, but ok. My room was spacious, king size bed, clean and with a good bathroom (excellent power shower!)Basically your typical travel inn/lodge room.

Its within site of Broad street but far enough back to avoid the noise (if you shut the windows!)

There is no bar in the hotel, but tons of choice nearby, Broad street being full of bars and eating places. There is a small Sainsburys a few doors down, and a cold drinks machine in the lobby.

There is a lot of noise from other customers who kept shouting and slamming doors, but I expected that as it was a Saturday night!also there was a stag party staying in the hotel!

You can eat breakfast in Orleans - £5.25 continental £6.95 cooked, I was not impressed by the prices and food/service You would be better off walking to Brindley Place nearby by the canal as a lot of bars (and even a canal boat) were serving good value breakfasts we noticed later.

For £55.95 per room its good value for a night out in Birmingham, safe by day just be aware that Broad street is known as bar street locally! We moved back to the hotel taking our own drinks.

There is another premier inn just down the road - canalside - do make sure you go to the right one and that they book you all in at the same hotel!

If you want a basic well located hotel this ones fine, if you want a bit of luxery then the nearby Hyatt hotel is best (rooms from £90 online)
