| said: We have just returned home from a two week holiday at the Altamadores and would strongly reccommend this holiday to anyone as it suits anyone of all ages. The rooms were absolutely spotless and were cleaned thoroughly six out of seven days. They were very spacious especially with there only being the two of us and had all the necesseties such as a fridge, cooker etc. The hotel is situated outside of the main centre but is very nice not having the hustle and bustle at night times and is only a 15min walk from a lovely beach.
The all inclusive basis proved to be the best otption for us and overall it was very good. However, the evening meal was not of a particularly high standard compared to the breakfast and lunch snacks available but the Europa Centre and Puerto Rico centre were so close in a taxi and had lots of nice bars and restaurants.
The staff were all very friendly and entertainment was provided both day and night six out of seven days so there was plenty going on to keep eveyone amused. We would strongly consider returning to this hotel in the future.

| said: We have just got back from the Altamadores and i can only say that the whole holiday was fantastic! yes i agree about previous comments with regards to the evening meal in so much as if the food was labelled then you would know what was what, but hey come on - anyone can tell a chop from pizza and although we never experienced cold food there is a microwave on the side. Breakfast - fab - good proper english bacon!! snacks - you couldn't fault. The apartments were spacious and clean. The ceiling fans are a must. We left ours on for the whole 2 weeks we were there, we just put our tesco clubcard in the slot and away we went. All the hotel staff in general were very polite, but special mentions to all the bar staff especially Jose - we got a smile out of him by the end of the 2 weeks. Now for the entertainment - LEO LEOOOOO!!! what a superb all round entertainer this guy is and as the previous post said - he makes time to get to know all the guests and sits and chats with them all. Leo - we hope you are doing us proud and still singing Penny Arcade!!!!!
Anyway we are hoping to go back next year. Big hello to anyone reading this who was there when we were there (We were the Warrington Wolves fans!!!)

| said: We arrived early in the morning and was welcomed by pleasent reception staff followed on by a clean comfortable room witch had 2 ceiling fans which kept you nice and cool especially in the night..
The breakfast was fine (even had propper bacon) then from 11:30 am the was a wide range of snack which you order as and when required which means its cooked when ordered so was always nice and hot which include ,, pizzas, omlettes, toasties, chicken burgers, cheese burgers, lasagne, spagette bol, chicken nuggets all can be ordered with chips this is served till 5pm . the evening meal starts at 6:30 which is just normal all inclusive food the only problen nothing is labled so you dont really know what your putting on the plate
The location is at the top of a hill but dont let this put you off as its only 3 euros in a taxi to get back up including drivers tip.
The hotel staff are great always willing to help and very quick service at the bar.. It does state at the bar only one drink per person but they waver that you can get as many as you wish (or you could when we were there) theres one particular guy called jose whos there on an evening has a scream.. Very camp and up for a laugh with everyone.. Vicki the entertainer is brilliant with the kids she works alone and works long hours but that dosnt faze her at all
We are defenatly wanting to visit this hotel again.

| said: We returned this earlier this month and it has rained since we got home. we were looking forward to some rain after two weeks of glorious sunshine but we are not so sure now.
A very relaxing holiday the staff are so friendly and all have a smattering of English therefore life was so much easier when trying to order food or looking for pronunciation. Vikki works her socks off keeping everyone busy and has a very easy attitude towards all. we only witnessed two events when discussion got a bit heated with the bar staff but as usual it was the ignorance of the Brits stoked on alcohol and false bravado having a pop at the bar staff who work tirelessly keeping the guests supplied with alcohol. If I were them I would simply have stopped serving the guests alcohol but they handled themselves admirably. A great family hotel with a varied entertainment a bit lack lustre on occasion but we are not into bingo having said that the "pots" were seldom below 100 Euros. The acts that performed were of a good quality and were very professional. The food as an AI guest we would say was okay you certainly wont starve. Breakfast was the usual continental cerials or full English. The lunch menu was a set menu of pizza steaks omlette burgers various sandwiches toasties and the obligitory chips and other snacks cooked freshly for you when you order, (so much better than sitting under heat lamps for hours). The evening meal was never very exciting but there was Chicken, Lamb, Beef and Fish on offer most nights of the week, so something for everyone.
if you like to have excursions then i would suggest that you have a look at the prices in the harbour in puerto rico as they are a lot cheaper than the reps.
All in all a very enjoyable two weeks and we will probably go back just to see how much the resort

breakfast and snack menu food was good but could have been a bit more of a variety, the food at the evening buffet was terrible apart from not being able to tell what it was meant to be it was also always cold reulting in having to eat out most nights not what you plan when you go all inclusive.
location not great but like most places up a steep hill need to taxi but very cheap.
some of the staff were ok others very rude and ignorant. the entertainment girl was nice and friendly and tried her best to get things going.

| said: Just returned from Altamadores. We arrived early morning, were given a map of the hotel and had to find your own way to your apartment. This was not a problem.
The apartment was very clean, the kitchen was very well equipped although there was no kettle. We did not find this a problem as we were all inclusive.
The pool area was clean and there were plenty of sun beds, but could of done with a few more parasols, it was very hot.
The food was ok we found the breakfast and snacks very good. Evening meal was buffet style. It would have helped if they had some sort of menu. What I thought were onion rings were in fact squid.
The hotel entertainer Vicky was really good. We really enjoyed the tribute band the Tramps and also the acrobats.
Although situated high up a hill we didn't find this a problem walking up to the Europa Centre or down to the beach but a taxis is a must. Coming back up the bank in the heat is a no no.

Pool area clean and spacious with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available. Staff were very pleasant and helpful even letting us keep our room as we had a late flight home. Well worth getting a taxi to Puerto Rico centre or the amadores beach for some lovely restaurants along the beach, only costs a few euros to get there. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would recommend these apartments to anyone cant wait to go back!!

| said: the apartments were situated at the top of the resort,i had a lovely sea view from the apartment as would all of the apartments. They are quite large apartments with all the things you need to make your stay enjoyable. The kitchen area is well equipped ( no kettle) but i think you could of hired one from reception, but there was a coffee perculator which you could use to boil your water,i did.
the lounge area was separted by a large corner sofa which acts as a bed at night. The TV was fine with your normal sky news and cnn channels plus various other language channels, it was also coin operated which is quite normal for the canary islands, but this was fine,20 cents lasted about 15 mins which was enough to get updated with the news back home on sky.
Bedroom was basic with just 2 single beds and a big wardrobe with sliding mirrored doors, also bedside tables.
Both the living room and bedroom had ceiling fans which were great through out the stay.I didn`t feel the apartment needed air con.
The apartments are used alot by the spanish, especially at the weekends as does the beach,i seen this as a good sign, and did not see it as a problem.
I will give you 1 tip, when booking or checking in ask for a room with a private balcony, the apartments are on 2 levels and the lower level ones do have terraces but are not private, there is a walkway in front of your apartment,i had one ofthese, but if there are a lot of you going and you have booked 2 apartments then having a ground floor one would be ideal so you can be more close to each other and share terraces.Overall a great place to stay,i had a late bargain, and booked the accom separate from the flight,so £90 for a week`s accommadation was money well spent.

The hotel staff were really helpful with everything we asked for they ordered us taxis and give us really good advice on where to visit.
There was little entertainment on but they did have 2 happy hours a day and you can play certain games at the pool in the afternoon.

| said: Me and my partner came to Altamadores apartments in July and can honestly same I had the best time in my life.
The staff were so friendly and helpful and the apartments were spotless not a speck of dirt anywhere.
I would recommend these apartments to any young couple as it is on a high hill and wouldn't be very good for a family but if you don't mind that don't let it stop you from visiting this fabulous place.
We didn't have any entertainment at the apartments but the CC Europe centre was fantastic and this is a great place for those who like to have a good time.
We ate at the restaurant three times and the food was excellent, very nicely presented all the time.

| said: Booked last minute for this hotel we couldn't find much info about it before we left but took a chance. Glad we did we haven't been to Gran canaria before but other couple we travelled with have and we were all really happy with hotel. It is a ving hotel lots of Scandinavian and Spanish but quite a few Brits the week we were there.
Pool area was clean and quiet even though there were quite a few children there lots of sunbeds and parasols you can hire the mattresses from the pool bar each day but they never took the money off us.
Food at pool bar was very nice my husband got us chips for a snack we should have got one portion between us as they gave us huge portions and only 1.5 euros they have happy hour between 4-5 p.m try the sangria it is lovely.
Apartments were very clean loads of storage and a bottle of water in the fridge when you arrive and a tidy size freezer but no kettle or bath but had a large shower.
The staff were great rang taxis for us every day we were on the first floor so we had a large terrace that all had table chairs and sunbeds on the second floor had smaller balconies but you could use the roof above them as it was one large terrace with lots of sunbeds on.
There was no entertainment there but it only cost 3 euros to Puerto Rico and there's a bus stop right outside hotel Europa centre was at the top of the hill you can walk if you take your time but we had a taxi

| said: Holiday from 13th to 21st May 2006. Will be recommending the apartments to everyone. I enjoyed the 15 minute walk (down a steep road) to get to the lovely Amadores Beach but was equally happy lazing by the pool on the immaculately kept terrace. Service was superb.
This is a Ving recommended hotel - so we were one of only two Brit couples - all other guests Spanish or Scandinavian. The apartments were clean, the noise level minimal with no noise at all after 11pm. Restaurant prices very reasonable (5 euros for a serve-yourself-all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast) and good a la carte evening menu. Satellite television is available (by coin-slot television) and the 10 euros I fed into the t.v. lasted all week - including watching all the Spanish Grand Prix and the Eurovision Song Contest).
Room safe available for 10.50 euros for the week - roomy enough to hold all valuables and canon Rebel camera with additional lenses.
However the real selling point for these apartments is the staff. Throughout the whole week we were greeted with cheery “Hola’s” and warm smiles. The level of service was faultless - and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who would organize taxis, flag down passing buses and supply endless euros for internet facilities in the lobby (50 cents for 10 minutes - 1 Euro for 30 minutes - excellent value).
Another plus for the self caterers is that there is a Spar located on the ground floor of the apartments open from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 8pm daily (closing at 2pm on Sundays) with a good stock of foreign newspapers, English foods (walkers crisps, Heinz beans, HP sauce just some of the items available), delicious fresh bread, meats, cheeses and fruit and vegetables, together with all those items that you forget to pack (aloe vera gel, plasters, wet wipes… you get the idea).
Temperature was 34 degrees with a cloudless blue sky and 10 hours of solid sunshine. (The terrace gets the sun from 8am until 7pm and is a real sun-trap…so take care not to overdo it like I did the first day!)
As I said - I would recommend the apartments to anyone who doesn’t mind the walk down or up the hill… although I am torn…. Part of me wants to keep it “my secret” so that it’s still as unspoiled and relaxing when I go back next year… and the year after… and the year after…….!

The apartment had all we needed to enjoy our self catering holiday. With cleaners twice a week we were always left with a clean apartment.
Although self catering we often ate at the on-site restaurant which offered a variety of cheap food which had great presentation and even more important, tasted good.
The staff were amazing and made the holiday even better, we couldn't of asked for friendlier and more helpful staff. There was always familiar tunes playing near the poolside with there own in house entertainment afternoons and evenings.
There was 11 of us in total and there hasn't been a bad word about this holiday from any of us, we would undoubtedly visit again.

Me and my husband had been to Puerto Rico before and loved it.
When we arrived at the hotel, we found the hotel staff to be friendly and took no time in checking us in.
The apartments are huge and very clean.
The swimming pool was well kept and we had no problem in getting a sunbed.
I have recommended this hotel to loads of people and have all said the same thing. GREAT holiday.
