| said: My girlfriend and & I are both 23 and enjoyed a 7 day break last year. Expect to pay around 8-10 Euros for a taxi from airport(although we nearly got charged 30, and told him where to go!)
We were allocated on arrival, so it was a result to get a 4 star hotel! (Paid about £300 each half board)Looked every inch the part too, marble floors, bathrooms, fancy decor, plush surroundings, etc.
It is actually only a 10 minute walk to the airport from the hotel, and pretty straight forward. We hired a car, so got used of Corfu town really quickly. We had to walk to the aiport the nxt morning to get the car, and had no problems as its also well signposted.
The staff were always friendly on arrival, and spoke good English (as well as French & German too I witnessed.) The pool is a little small to be fair, but was pretty dead all day anyway (prob as the beach is literally 25 feet from the hotel!) Its really quiet too, but there is a road that goes past it.
The food at the hotel was amazing, and the service great. Its a buffet style breakfast and dinner. Oh my god, I had about 6-7 helpings every night - soooo nice! About 10 starters, mains and desserts to choose from - heaven! Reasonable priced wine list too. The staff were great, and genuinely interested in the visitors.
The hotel rooms were immaculate, and cleaned every day - they even folder our clothes! The rooms came with aircon, which was a little noisy at first, but we soon got used to it (to be fair it had to work pretty hard with temps of 35 degress C!). Cooled room in minutes. Spacious fridge for beer supplies too ;-p
One thing I would say, is that the were quite a lot of 'older' guests at the hotel (as they prob paid a little extra for the quality), so if you're thinking of going as an all sex group, think again! Ideal for any couple of all ages tho. Book it, you will not regret it! Chris
