| said: we've just returned yesterday from our week long stay at the kaan apartments.
On getting to the reception area, we asked for a quiet apartment, which they had no problem giving us.
The apartment itself, was reasonably spacious, with most of the facilities you would really want [kettle, fridge, 2 ring hob, cutlery and crockery]. The apartment overlooked local residents, So we wonder what sights they must have seen in the past!.
after settling in, I [paul] decided to check out the bar. to my amazement, they were showing the ukraine vs england soccer game!. Amazing as it was internet only in england.
The food [we were on bed and breakfast] was limited. Of course, if you wanted anything other than the b+b choice [scrambled egg or beans or cheese or poached/fried eggs on toast or a turkish breakfast] it cost extra. A full english was 5tl. We did find that the service was quite slow though, more on that later. We must admit, we had breakfast out one day, and it was much better for a similar price.
The snack service was very good, cheese burger, bacon butty and 2 portions of chips 21tl and they delivered it to our room with no problem. The only problem was they tried to charge us twice for one meal.
As it was the end of the season, the staff were visibly knackered. Which, as they seemed to be doing everything, from breakfast service to running the bar til at least 2am is not surprising. Breakfast was between 8-10 but no one was about sometimes!.
On leaving though, the staff pulled out all the stops for us. Our pre-booked and pre-paid transfer to dalaman airport failed to turn up. After one of the lads phoned the company concerned, arranged an alternative for us. One of their permanent residents, who was a bus driver, got out of bed and got us to the airport just in time. For that we are eternally grateful.
In conclusion, would we stay there again? yes we would.

| said: We stayed for two weeks at the Kaan apart and had a brillant holiday. I was worried before we arrived because of previous reviews we had read. On arriving there was a slight problem with our rooms but this was sorted very quickly. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. The food was fab and so was the fast service. My children aged 15 and 17 had such a brillant time they did not want to come home. Since our return they have nagged me to book now for next year. I wont argue with them because it was great value for money. We will be returning next year but with a slight adjustment. An extra week and also including my older son and daughter who i know will fully enjoy the holiday. Lastly i would like to say each and every person working at the Kaan work really hard and long long hours but still remain happy. There entertainment is also great. So David, Rambo, Mario, Jimmy and all keep up the good work. See you next summer.

| said: This was mine and my two sonds first time to turkey, ,my wife had been there as a child so we suggested we try there. So we basically took a pot luck guess at the Kaan appartments, and it was the best holiday we ever had by far! As soon as we arrived the staff took our bags and introduced themselves. We asked for a pool view room, and we got one no hassle. The rooms were a bit basic, but extremley clean, thats what you expect for the price you pay, and considering we only put our head down and got changed in there we werent bothered about "the kettle" or, "the pathetic hob rings". We only went self catering, but we ended up eating in the hotel every night as the food was so nice and such good value. The drinks were very reasonable as well, and i can assure you they were not 99 percent pop!
However the best thing about our holiday had to be the staff. David, rambo, jimmy, taner, mario, and the guy behind reception (cant remember his name sorry) were all fantastic. Perhaps the friendliest people weve ever had the pleasure of staying with on holiday. David and rambo told us everything we needed to know and also booked all of our excusrions that we wanted. They also just used to sit down with us for a chat and even bought us a few drinks themselves.
Another pathetic comment i have read is saying that the staff were sexual pests, i cant stress what a load of rubbish that was, me and my two sons went quad biking, and my wife did not fancy it so she stayed at the appartments by her self and she had no trouble what so ever.
I really can not rate this complex hugh enough, was the best holiday we have had as a family, and we will be going back there next year.
So please dont be put off by any silly comments about a cake or having to sleep with a knife!
Thanks to everyone there for an awesome holiday!

There was entertainment on every nite, could last a bit longer though. The hotel is quite far away from the centre of marmaris but you can get one of the dolmas buses, all staff are very helpful and go out of there way to help you.

| said: we arrived at the hotel at 5 o'clock in the morning to be told that there was no room for us in the hotel and that we would have to be moved to another hotel for 2 nights. After refusing to be taken to the hotel by a member of staff who had been drinking alcohol we were taken to the other side of the resort to a basic but clean enough apartment. After the 2 nights we were told that it would be another night we would have to spend in this other hotel.
Once we were picked up late and taken to kaan apartments we were shown are room and seemed happy enough! The location was ok with a ten minute walk to the beach but 25 mins to a nice area of beach and clear water. The cleaner did visit daily but only cleaned the bins and the bed clothes were not changed until i removed them and asked for clean bedding!
No apology was made by the staff or explanation given as to why we were moved but overall the staff were friendly enough!
While we were there many people had to be moved to other hotels around marmaris!
Air conditioning was 50 pounds for 2 weeks and could be tempermental!
We definately would not be staying in this hotel again!!!

| said: The rooms are basic but clean. Alot better than we expected considering how little we paid. Cleaners are very friendly and so are most of the staff. We got there expecting 3 rooms as there was two couples and 3 sharing the 3rd room but they tried giving us two rooms. Once we argued they said we had been double booked and the room would be available the next day. Gladly we did get the room the next day. But everytime there was new arrivals they were also standing at reception being told they were double booked. This was the hotels main problem! one couple waited almost 24 hours for a room! Other than that the hotel was brilliant. entertainment was great considering it was free, food was gorgeous and taner, dave, rambo and masoot(reception) were great. Didnt like mario(barman) too much as he was a bit ignorant sometimes. Overall it was a great holiday and we all throughly enjoyed it.

| said: I have stayed at the Kaan apartments on numerous occasions and had a brilliant time...everytime! It is good value and would highly recommend to those who want a fun-filled holiday.
The hotel is very lively and isnt recommended if you want a quiet holiday, but i stayed on the 2nd floor, with a pool view and managed to sleep ok. There is a little noise but what you would expect. If you find it to much you can ask to be moved rooms and this is done as soon as it is possible.
I was a little shocked to read a previous review as i believe i was staying at the hotel at the same time.
Here is my opinion......
All the staff are extremley helpful and will endeavour to do what they can to help. They are all lovely and very friendly.
Mario works behind the bar and is a good laugh. He likes to entertain people and make sure that guests are not without a drink...he is very good at what he does.
They all like to have a good flirt...but lets face it...who doesnt!
I sat at the bar and watched the drinks being made on many occasions and they are certainly NOT 1% alcohol and 99% juice, far from it....i would say at least half the glass is alcohol, sometimes more!!!
I have celebrated my birthday at the kaan on many occasions and always have a cake....which is paid for, as i would never think for one moment that they would give it for free...if this was the case, any tom, dick or harry would say it was their birthdays, just so they could get one.
If you are looking for a cheap holiday with clean basic rooms then the Kaan is a place to go to.

| said: On arrival we were told that our pre- booked ground floor apartment would not be available till the next morning. We were taken to a pokey little studio on the 4th floor which had 60% sloped roof. We both banged our heads within minutes.
Next morning we were moved to room 204 (2nd floor). What a nightmare. The noise is constant so if you are unable to sleep at night you can't catch up with a lie-in. We put up with this room for maybe 4 nights. We demanded a quieter room or help to get home.
Our 3rd room was on the 3rd floor and was quieter, but we could still hear arguments etc, coming from the bar.
We noticed that staff were unable to maintain polite service. It often appeared that they were angry or indifferent with us. We realised that we weren't spending enough cash at the hotel and we were ALWAYS questioned as to where we were going.
The Birthday Cake;
The staff had obviously checked my passport and noticed my birthday was a couple of days away. Mario got very excited and said to the chef that a cake was needed. Chef nodded and Mario started to juggle his ice cubes etc, while grinning manically.
My birthday came and we had already made our plans for the evening but they started phoning the room and screaming my name from the bar. We had a quick drink in the bar before leaving to go clubbing and were subject to questioning about what we were doing. They were upset that I wasn't spending the eve in the bar and they nagged until we agreed to be there the next evening.
We duly went down the next eve and following a very nice meal I was presented with a birthday cake with a sparkler stuck in the middle of it. Rambo asked if he should give everyone some and I nodded yes. (I'm not much of a cake fan) Everything seemed very pleasant until i asked for the bill and was very amused to find I had been billed for the cake. This was taking advantage in its lowest form. I refused to pay for a cake I didn’t request, Rambo offered free drinks if i paid but the drinks are not very strong and i knew they would be 1% alcohol and 99%juice/pop.
The next day we were ignored completely by all of the staff except Rambo. Dirty looks came our way and no-one had a pleasant word for us. This went on for 3 more days and I finally asked if someone's wages had been docked to pay for the cake. Rambo said no but if I felt bad I should put the price of the cake in the tip box. We decided to sit back and watch how things went before we did this. It was a wise move. Things went from bad to good to bad again and obviously we didn’t tip as Rambo suggested.
The staff like to get involved with the guests. We could tell who was involved with whom and it was amusing to see the staff move onto other guests once their current partner flew home. I had first hand experience of 'hassle' when 3 different members of staff hit on me individually and suggested I should go with them to one of the hotel rooms. I declined. In fact they scared me so much that that night I pushed both suitcases up against my room door and put the one sharp knife under my pillow. That night our phone in the bedroom rang on and off, which really creeped us out.
Things got so bad that my companion refused to exit/enter via the usual door and would nip down the fire escape to avoid the interrogation. Other guests also started to follow suit and they too were experiencing similar things to us.
Positive comments;
Beds. The mattresses are excellent quality and look brand new. Very comfortable.
Food. The food is also very good and well presented and was reasonably priced.
This hotel is, without doubt, the worst I have ever stayed in. I have serious concerns about its safety and would not recommend it to anyone. Even the fire escape is loose and leads to a very uneven and badly maintained path. Every room we stayed in was run down and in poor condition. The taps exploded every time and then stayed on constant drip. The hot water supply is very poor and we often had to have cold showers. The fixtures and fittings were hanging off the walls and plug sockets didn’t always have fronts on. The kettle didn’t switch itself off and only one ring on the 2ring hob worked. (It was also situated right next to the exploding taps). The curtains are not big enough to cover the windows and the metal kick plates at the bottom of the doors were hanging off.
Do yourself a favour and choose your hotel very carefully. We found that for an extra £70 each we could have had a luxurious apartment in a beautiful hotel closer to the town centre.
Lesson learned.

The rooms were of a good size and room service daily, the staff were out of this world and could not do enough for you. The food was fantastic more of a 5* hotel not a 3*. They entertained guests all day and night with their antics. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone.
Just a quickie. We would like to say a big thanks to Ricky, Mario, Rambo, David, Hassan, Ozzy, Billy, Smile, Mehmet and Apore (chef). Look forward to seeing you all in May next year. XX

| said: After reading the reports of the Kaan Appartments I was sceptical of what I would find. On arrival we were greeted well and shown to our very clean basic room. From the start the Staff were very helpful and cheery, you have to understand that all Turks are only interested in extracting as much cash out of you as possible. The room was cleaned daily and clean towels put in. The shower head bracket was broken but they fixed that the following day. You have to pay extra for the air con which is about £30 per week and after you have used the first toilet roll the rest you buy (35p)? We didnt eat at here very much but what we had was good. If you go by the food they served at the Turkish night it was exellent. The location is only 5 min from the beach/main road but it is quite a distance from the centre of Marmaris. This can be easily reached though buy catching the very regular Dolmus busses which takes about 10 min at a costy of about 60p.Like most Turkish hotels and restaurants they are noisey but they do turn the music down if asked. We sleppet at the back of the hotel and didnt here any noise at all. I do know the people at the front of the hotel did ask for it to be turned down when they went to bed and it was not a problem.
The staff were very good and tried to make your stay as pleasureable as possible. I did think they would have prefered us to stay and eat there more but there was no presure. The drinks are normally on a 'tab' bassis, I dont think they try and rip you off I just think they are a bit of a shambles some times. But if you keep a rough mental note of what you have had and pay for it daily it normally works well. I did have a couple of instances when they had got it wrong but we sorted it out very well. Mario/Rambo and David were the main bar staff and they were very good.
The Turkish night was really good and the food was exellent. The entertainment was not bad but you are expected to put your hand in your pocket at the end of the individual acts! The pool is small and apart from that they only have pool and darts and somtimes the Chef will take you over to the other hotels football pitch.
I think it is a good cheap hotel that is just what you need for a cheap holiday. Somewhere to sleep and shower that is clean and tidy with just a small amought of coolking utensils.I dont normally go to the same hotel more than once but would not have a problem with going back here.
Thankyou to all the staff that made my son and mine holiday so good.

| said: If you want peace and quiet in nice surroundings with nice company and friendly staff then DON'T GO TO THE KAAN APTS.!!!!!!!
All the staff are interested in is how much money they can get out of you. They swarm round you as soon as you arrive trying to get you to part with your money. Do not get a bar tab as they will rip you off time and time again. Not a day went by when you didnt hear someone arguing about their tab and how they had been over charged. It was extremely noisy at night, lucky to get to sleep by 4.00 with noise from bar and hotel next door. At 5.20 every day loud speakers from mosque reciting prayers every 5 hours. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.

| said: When we first arrived, we were told we were double booked. So we got humped in the bosses death trap of a car round to the Bannana Appartments. After near enough 12 hours of travelling etc, this did not amuse us! The manager was late picking us up the next again day and there was also another 6 people with a young baby they did this to. When we got back round to the Kaan.. we waited another 40 mins on our room. Promised free safety dep. Never got so we asked for discount on air con on our last day! Rambo and Mario great staff.. Others are only interested in getting money out of you. we were chased up the street by several members asking why we were not eating at the hotel.. whole point of self catering!! Everynight we went in.. they were shoving drinks in our faces which we did not want. One staff member, D, also added drinks for himself onto guests tabs!! Pay as you buy as they ripped a lot of people off. Also, 3 staff members were caught in the act with some guests, hotel is full of children so not v good!! The Kaan is just a money making scam!! The hotel was spotless, rooms cleaned everyday. Food was reasonable. This was my 7th time in Marmaris and worst location, 10mins to beach but a good 25 min walk to anything central in Marmaris. Would not reccomend at all!

| said: This was the best holiday ever!
We loved the pretty pink rooms and they were spacious and clean. Our room was cleaned at least once every other day, the only day they didn't clean it was if we were still in bed!!
All the staff were really friendly and made our holiday. Entertainment every night from pub quiz to Turkish night. We ate in the hotel most nights as the food was beautiful and the staff make sure you are looked after. Very cheap for food and drinks as well. Even if the kitchen was closed, if you are hungry you will get food. Whether it is the receptionist Mehmet going to try out his culinary skills making a sandwich or whether Rambo orders in a pizza, you won't go hungry!! The manager even went out to fetch us cigarrettes one night at 4am!!
The hotel is about 5 or 10 minute walk to beach and a bus ride from marina and icemeler.
We cant wait to go back in October because we miss everyone really really mooooooccchhhhhhh!!

I have to say it was the best holiday we have had in Marmaris. The Staff and Management Team were excellent and always their to have a chat and ask if we were OK.
The apartment was cleaned every day!!! with the towels changed also!!! for £22
I have previously spent £3.5k on a holiday to Marmaris and it was rubbish this holiday cost about £1.5k and it was Fantastic and would absolutely return to the Kaan

Pool is spotless and although apartments are very basic they are cleaned everyday and fresh towels included. Never done a cheap & cheerful holiday before but would definitely do it again. we did not get in until 5am every morning after clubbing and the manager waited up on a sofa in reception to let us in every night! bless him!!!

Hotel staff are ok except security is non exsistant as my youngest son got his football shirt shorts and socks stolen.. Only person to have a key except us was the cleaner!!!
Holiday rep says you cant go about accusing people, but I say WHO DO YOU BLAME THEN!!! They didn't walk out the room!!!
Entertainment was break dancers doing their stuff for approx 10 mins and then passing a hat round for a whip round or kareoke which we had 5 singers(all guests)singing and then some loud disc music bellowing out the speakers!!
Our room was filthy!! We didn't want to go in the shower incase we caught something..Passports are left unsecure in the reception so please watch you dont lose yours!!
We won't be visiting this place again even if you pay for us!!! Or we get to go for free!!

| said: We stayed in the Kaan apartments in Marmaris, arriving there in the early hours of Sunday 30th September and as soon as we saw the place we loved it,there are four floors and no lifts but the reception staff lugged all of our suitcases straight up the stairs without having to be asked and were very helpful througout our stay. We went on a self catering basis and the food was excellent. The pool was lovely although if you have young children the shallow area was very small but there were plenty of sunbeds with umbrellas and if you wanted a drink it was brought to you by the waiters which was great! they were very attentive. The apartments were quite basic but this was more than made up for by the location,it was a ten minute walk to the beach which was absolutely stunning with spectacular views and there were plenty of great pubs catering for every taste along the seafront.I would highly recommend a trip on a speedboat as it's a great way to see the big picture. The hotel had entertainment on every night from Karaoke to breakdancers and it was suitable for all. The kids loved it and so did we. All of the staff at the hotel worked very hard from day until night looking after you and were very nice and great with the kids too, we cannot praise them highly enough and just hope that they are missing us as much as we miss them. We have all visited larger hotels in the past but found these apartments just a fine size and a lot more friendly which made the holiday much more enjoyable. We all agree that we would definately visit Kaan again, we wished we had booked for a longer stay. We plan to go back next year, just wish it could be sooner!

i would not advise anyone to go to the kaan.

Arrived on a friday morn after bein delayed at manc airport for around 3 hrs, when we got there our rooms wasnt ready even tho we was late anyway which was wierd?? Luckily tho we had 4 friends in the same hotel which had arrived a day earlier so we could put our bags etc in their room! We got a room about 5 hrs later. The rooms are very basic and have a small kitchen but i wouldnt reccomend usin it! We had planned to eat out every night anyway. Our toilet wouldnt flush so told reception and he got it fixed next day. There was a pipe on our balcony with water gushin out god knows where it was comin from so we just avoided the balcony lol! Im sure they only changed our towels once or twice in the wk? The staff were great and we could have a laugh with them the bar stays open aslong as people are drinkin, but i can imagine thats not very nice for families with young children. We only had breakfast 3 times at the hotel but it was nice! They always had entertainment at the hotel like bingo and quiz's - 5mins walk from the beach front where there is restaurants and bars which are pretty cheap. About half hr walk to main bit where bars are and about 15min taxi trip to bar street costs about 10 lira. All in all very basic but u get what u pay for and would go back!

| said: I have more or less nothing good to say about this place:
First time we visited Turkey, and would NEVER return again after staying in such horrible apartments.
Bad points:
The staff were friendly at 1st, but after we didn't eat there at night, they became very annoying & unpleasent, my sisters sunglasses were borrowed by one of the staff, shortly after this he said "I lost them" and gave a cheaper more horrible pair, wich we then threw into their poorly treated garden. He made a sad attempt to find them.
The bar is over priced, and the food wasn't very pleasent.
The entertainment was poor 10 minutes break dancing, and 10 minutes belly dancing, wich they then wanted payment for. Oh my god.
The bathroom door jammed many times, i asked the reception to get it fixed. After 3 crap excuses we ended up kicking the door open as the handles mechanism had broken inside.
The curtain railes fell down 3 times and we were missing a curtain.
The patio door wouldn't lock properly.
The beds were uncomfortable and there were no under sheets availiable for 3 days!!
The music was on ALL NIGHT, and never went off, very loud, went on until about 3ish at night.
The shower had good power but the surround was chlostrophobic and the room had no windows.
On the last day of out horrible two weeks stay, they ran out of running water so no shower.
The receptionist knew good english, but when somthing went wrong he pretended he didnt understand, by doin a stupid "raised eyebrow gesture"
Basically, don't go here it's awful. If you've booked this place for a holiday make sure you unbook it immedietly.

Hotel was lovely and clean but having a slight delay when we arrived at 6.30am our room was not ready had to wait till 11.30. The night receptionist was brilliant when we checked out he was the only one to help with our luggage.

We were kept awake every night by the noise from the bar, we asked politely for the music to be turned down(6.30a.m) and was told to phone to reception when we did this they unplugged our phones.
Staff were friendly when we arrived but because we did not eat there we were treated badly, we all felt very intimidated, we could write lots more but this may not then be printed due to the seriousness.
We have visited Turkey for the last 4 years and have loved it, we will return again however NEVER at the Kaan apartments it was the holiday from hell.

| said: The hotel is quite far from the centre of Marmaris (bar street 45 mins walk along the seafront) however there are still lots of bars and restaurants close by and there are bars and restaurants all along the beach. There are also buses that run to the other end of of town for about 40p and they come along every two minutes. The nearest stop being less than 5 minute walk away.
The hotel itself was basic but very clean. It was quite noisy but most of this noise was from the hotel behind it and as we were in the eaves high up we could hear it all but this wasn't too much a problem.
The staff were 'very friendly'. When we went, it was just myself and a friend and at first the staff seemed ok but after they got to know you better they did become a bit much! However some holiday makers like that sort of thing! They didn't seem to be like that with families, couples or lads though.
What was quite strange was that we flew out when there was increased security at British airports and as a result our flight was delayed 15hrs yet when we arrived our room still wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 4 hrs?? They did however have a room we could use until then.
Other than this the hotel is good, we ate there twice and although it wasn't amazing it was nice and very reasonable. Drinks did seem a bit more expensive though.
All in all the hotel was very good value for money.

We went self catering and we would eat breakfast every day at kaan the food was really nice there was alot to choose from, especially last year as they added to the menu I had no problems with food.
The kaan aparts are really clean and tidy the rooms are nice and spacious, there was four of us in our apartment and two in a studio the only thing I would have to say about the rooms is you need more wardrobe space especially if there are four girls in a room.
The hotel location is very good you are only a five minutes walk to the beach and four minutes walk to bars and restaurant's.
It's about a half hour walk to the main night life of marmaris but you can always jump in a taxi and be there in about five minutes.
The staff are fantastic really friendly, hard working and do there best to make your holiday brill. They was always smiling and made you feel really welcome.
They worked very long hours but would never complain. One of the staff even took us to the beach to go on the water sports for less money as his friend owned a stall.
The entertainment was fantastic! there was something on every night the best show is the Turkish night the have belly dancers, break dancers, folk dancers, fire show and a staff show they also have a buffet to eat from with all different Turkish food which is very nice.
I would go back to kaan apartments again it's so good.

| said: We stayed at the Kaan for 2 weeks and would happily recommend it. The rooms are basic but clean and offer everything you require. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. However once you have used the one toilet roll per week you have to buy any more that you may need!!
The Hotel is located about 5 mins from the beach front where there are plenty of bars and resteraunts. The hotel is about a 30mins walk away from Marmaris town centre but there are regular buses to take you all over the resort, these cost 1.25YTL (about 40p). Though we weren't in the centre we found everything we needed relatively close to the hotel and also cheaper than the town centre.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and always willing to help. However sometimes they can be a bit much, trying to get you to spend your money there but this is the same everywhere you go in Turkey.
The pool and bar area were very nice and always clean. The food and drink at the hotel was very cheap in comparison to Britain. The entertainment at the hotel was good, with the Turkish night being good value at 20YTL and good fun.

| said: We visited the Kaan apartments in August 2005 and stayed for two weeks. Arrived a day late due to flight delays. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful, taking the bags up four flights of stairs.
We stayed in the Annex part, and had to be careful due to sloping ceilings. Room was spacious, but basic. Beds and pillows were on the hard side, the best bed to sleep on was the sofa bed. Maids cleaned your room very day, so was very clean.
As we were self catering we didn't do any cooking in the room, but we ate at the apartments, the breakfast - the full English was really nice (put onions on plate!!) and only cost £1.50.
Turkish nights on Saturdays are good, belly dancing, break dancers and folk lore, food which is buffet style, good value around £7.00 and young children is usually free.
The pool area was very deep and has a very small section for children, but have been told that they are looking into changing the pool area next year.
Staff were fantastic, especially "Bryan" who served me plenty of my favourite drinks and Ricky who runs the apartments. In in all had a fab time and would go back again.

Two single beds small wadrobe and one draw dressing table,we had a fridge that wasn't very cold we took a few things with us cheese ect they only lasted a few days, The rooms a very warm at night even with windows and doors open the air conditioning is very steap at £25 a week, safe for £10 a week.
You get one toilet roll a week so take supplies,
The pool is not too good if you have small children saying that me and my partner couldn't touch the bottom and he isn't short.
Rooms cleaned every day a bedding changed and clean towels which was the main thing for me, 2 forks 2 knives 2 very small spoons 2 very very small cups so if you like your coffee in the morning take your own mugs 2 glasses and considering it was self catering we didn't get a tin opener. Bathroom small the shower head kept coming out and atacking you so we had to tie it up. Cold water taps splurted out.
Staff always very pleasant with 24 hour reception.

| said: We stayed at the Kaan apartments for 2 weeks arriving on 25 July 2005. On arrival the staff could not do any more to help us with our luggage. They would not let my wife or I carry anything at all. It felt like 5* treatment.
We had 2 studios on the top floor, there are 4 floors and no lift. After a simple check in again the staff carried our luggage upstairs to our rooms. The studios are basic but clean which is all my wife is bothered about. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom, which contains sink, toilet and shower. The studio had one wardrobe, a small dressing table, fridge, kettle, limited cutlery and an electric hotplate and 2 single beds. There is air conditioning but you have to pay for this at reception, at £25 a week, and we needed it as it was very hot.
The apartments are very pink, to see more pictures visit www.kaanapart.com. As I said previously the staff were tremendous from the cleaners to the manager and really made the holiday. Anything was no trouble.
The reception is manned 24 hours, there are safety deposit boxes to hire. There is a computer in the reception area which anyone can use to keep in touch with England, this is around £1 per half hour.
We were self catering but we had no intention of cooking. We ate out every day. The food at the Kaan can not be faulted, they have a wide choice on the menu and a special of the day, every day and even do a Sunday roast.
The apartments are ideally situated away from the noisy sea front where all the bars and restaurants are. So at night there is little chance of being disturbed. It takes about 5 minutes to walk down to the sea front. Marmaris is big so there is plenty to see.
The apartments are situated between 2 4* hotels, the Pineta and Club Pineta.
There is entertainment at the apartments on most evenings with a Turkish night on Saturdays with an all you can eat buffet, belly dancers etc.
The swimming pool is ok, but there is no shallow end and only one set of steps to get in or out of the pool.
We really enjoyed out time at these apartments mainly due to the friendliness of the staff and other holidaymakers. We all had a really good time.
I would recommend them to anyone.
