| said: On a budget holiday you never expect the Hilton upon arrival. And as the previous reviews state, the Archondia was clean and tidy and the other guests were all ok (no groups of 18-30's idiots). However there are a few things i'd like to point out. The beach is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel but is a SHINGLE beach.
The rooms are basic, and you have to hire a fan and the safe. Also the walls are thin! And the beds are creaky.......
The self catering facility is pretty non usuable, there is an electric hotplate and thats it. We used it but only for heating tinned goods. Also, one of the sockets sparked when we unplugged our portable DVD player.
The staff were ok but at times we found the lady behind the bar a bit moody. The food is basic but then we didnt expect much from a pool bar.
Overall I've stayed in better hotels but also a lot worse! It did what we wanted it to do, but I do not think we'd go back to the same resort.

| said: Kefalos and Archontia apartments are typically Greek - simple, relaxing and beautiful! The apartments are situated in the middle of the resort with the main street in one direction and the harbour in the other, each no more than a 20 minute walk to the end.
As others have mentioned they are at the top of a steep bank, but its not that bad (someone who was staying had walking difficulties and could manage it!) and the views from the top are amazing.
The owners are extremely friendly and the maids call every two days (however they don't mind if you are not up, and they will call back later in the day). Prices to rent fans are reasonable at 15 euros a week, only 30 euros to keep your room on until midnight for those with late night flights home, and 15 euros for a fortnight for the safety deposit box.
The pool is small and not too deep but perfect for those hot days with plenty sun loungers to go around. In terms of rooms, ask for a sea view to appreciate the full view of kefalos (We had room 19 which was by far the best for the views).

| said: A good standard of clean basic greek studio accomodation,regular change of sheets, towels. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Small pool and poolside bar serving snacks.Slight incline up to the studios but not that bad. Fantastic views of the bay from one side of studios the others look up to kefalos village, you can keep rooms on for late night flights at varying prices.
This is our second time at these studios and look forward to a return visit.
