| said: Stayed in the Almar apartments for two weeks early July. Excellent location near the old town and beach. Good for shops and supermarkets also.
No entertainment and the small bar appeared closed most of the time in the evening. Friendly staff and the pool and surroundings were clean and tidy.
Maid service could have been slightly better. Fresher towels and bed linen changed more often would have been better.
Would return to these apartments.

| said: Superb value for money self catering accomodation. We arrived around Midday and had to wait around an hour for our room to be ready. We were offered free snacks and drinks while we waited. All the public areas and spacious and clean, Our room was on the bottom floor overlooking the sea and the old town. Rooms are clean with excellent cooking facilities - oven, grill, microwave, kettle, loads of pots and pans nice big fridge etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Weather was fantastic, locals were friendly. All in all excellent

| said: Stayed in a spacious one bedroomed apartment with a sea view and partly looking over the pool.
Staff friendly and professional.
Hotel in an excellent position for old town area and beach.
Entertainment on one night per week where the staff also let their hair down!.
Snack bar open during the day and bar at night although infrequently used because of close proximity to old town.
Did use pool which was fine and although hotel appeared fully occupied was not overcrowded.
Not disappointed with accommodation and although rated a three star it was worth four stars for its location alone.

| said: The Almar Appts. are in Albufiera. We stayed in a one bedroom appartment. This was an upgrade offered by the travel company from a studio appartment.
The appartment was spotlessly clean, large, and with a slendid view. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful.
We went at a quiet time of the year so the pool and bar were not open. However the bar was available in the evening. No entertainment is offered off season. This is one of the reasons we go at this time of the year.
All equipment is provided for self catering. Cooking facilities consist of an electric hob and a built in microwave oven. More than sufficient unless you want a five course banquet. Only comment was that in Portugal there are very few electric kettles, you have to boil the kettle on the electric ring.If you cannoit live without a TV it has to be hired at 2.50 euros per day.(english sattelite channels are limited!)
Maid service is daily, and very efficient, again very friendly. Linen is changed at least twice a week. When you arrive there are absolutely no supplies in the kitchen, so you will need a visit to the local supermarket to get the usual washing up liquid etc.etc.
There is a local supermarket just round the corner that has everything you need at reasonable prices.
If you like tea, take your own tea bags as local ones are weak and tasteless! The reception staff gave us a map with the nearest supermarkets marked on it: all you have to do is ask.
Our only adverse comment: the beds are rock hard, its more comfortable to sleep on the settees( or the floor!!!)
We would certainly go back just for the location.

| said: I have just returned from a weeks holiday at these super apartments. Highly recommended for anyone wanting comfortable, clean, well maintained accomodation close to the old town of Albuferia. A 5 minute walk to the steps to Fishermans Beach.
It was my Husbands birthday while we were there and the management sent to our apartment a bottle of champagne, aparently they do this for anyone if it is their birthday! Very friendly staff, beautiful pool and gardens with excellent view of old town. Apartments are very large and well equiped, you will not be disappointed.
