| said: I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a quiet relaxing holiday. The weather was lovely for the whole two weeks.
We didn’t eat at the hotel, although there were various restaurants 2 minute walk away.
You had to take a boat to the beach, which we very much enjoyed. The beach was brilliant, so clean and quiet, most unlike any other beach I have visited abroad!
The entertainment was ok, although you did find yourself struggling to find things to do by the second week.
There was only one let down, I had some trousers taken from my room (it was locked, although it was the day the cleaners were in?!!) Anyway when I reported it they were very, very unhelpful and rude. Because of this I had to live out a locked suitcase for the rest of the holiday!Which was a bit of a pain!
All in all excellent restaurants nearby, amazing pool & beach, a very enjoyable holiday!

The Ria apartments are basic but kept clean. All have air conditioning requiring a 100 Euro refundable deposit (can use credit card for this).
A fantastic new free form pool is situated in an adjoining complex. The pool is great for kids, having a large shallow area and non-slip tiles all around.
Plenty of poolside activities ...aquarobics, water polo, volleyball, tennis.
Cabannas is quiet but with plenty of good value places to eat out. Nearby Tavira is very traditional and picturesque.
A short boat ride to the nearby offshore beach is a novel and enjoyable experience.
The only down side we found was the smell from a nearby water treatment plant at one end of the apartment building but this was not noticable elsewhere. Some of the paving around the apartments was uneven so some care is needed with small children.
Car hire with carjet.com was much cheaper than local offers.

| said: Just got back from a week at this hotel.
Very pleasant place to stay for a family break. A quiet suntan holiday. Complex has large pool. Very nice and the apartments have a garden around it.
The hotel is on the seafront and you have to cross a river by boat to get to the sea. We did a few trips. Seville, Spain is not far over the border (2hrs drive) also the jeep safari (not as good as Gran Canaria / less to see, less stunning views.) However there is local towns Faro and Tavara which have places to explore.
I'd say it's ideal for one week = two weeks if you bring your own entertainment. The down sides : The lift has no inside door - theres a rubbish zoo place 1m at the back of the hotel. You have to pay for air conditioning units - a deposit you get returned.
A nice place to stay and a better one than most. You'd have to pay a lot more and stay at Villa Moura resort to get better. Theres a train that links you to the rest of the coastal towns that's dirt cheap too.
Enjoy a stay here.
