Entertainment was very poor with the amount we paid it should of been better.

| said: Arrived 15 aug room was spacious and fairly clean until my husband killed a cockroach and it took 6 days for the cleaners to clean it up after i had requested on several occasions for it to be cleaned.
Food was aweful and i mentioned my concerns of this several times to the rep. The answer to this was that it was being looked into. Choice of food there wasn't a choice, there for 2 weeks and ended up eating out. The queues were incredible. We had to clear tables before we could eat you don't pay for all inclusive to clear your own tables. I asked the rep several time to be moved only to be told it was peak season.
The entertainment was repetative and the entertainers mimed.
Needless to say i would not recommend this place to anyone.

| said: We stayed at the Oasis Tamarindo for two weeks on All inclusive basis.
Hotel cleanliness left a lot to be desired, our room wasn't ready when we arrived and when we did finally get into the room it was still dirty, crumbs on the floor dirty couches etc.
Hotel food was a disgrace. They didn't cater for children at all. We had to buy foo d for our son at the near by supermarket.
I conplained to the REPS several times, but they weren't interested.
Saltwater pools were revolting. Kids wouldn't stay in them for long periods because of the taste and eye pain they were experiencing.
Cues at the bar were ridiculous. 20mins minimum and you could only get two alcololic drinks at a time.
Hotal location was ok. Near to locat amenities, shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants.
ALso local market was 10 mins walk away on a Monday and Friday.
Hotel staff did as well as could be expected i suppose. It must have been difficult with the amount of complaints they were recieving.
Entertainment wes OK A bit repetative by the end of the two weeks. Best night was the Kids talent show.
This was our best night, possible because we were going home the next morning.
I would not syat at this hotel again. It was the worst holiday we have ever had. The hotel is being sold as time shares anyway, that is probably why all these problems haven't been remedied.

| said: The Tamarindos is not a hotel its appartments which are excellent, however I have photographic evidence that the sofa beds had stains on them which were man made and not food it took 8 days to get them changed.
The pool areas are fabulous and we had little trouble findind beds. The food was diabolical and that says alot as I was a Navy cook for 5 yrs, it was cold and repetative.
The cleanliness of the cutlery and plates were a sham thrown into dish washers and removed without being checked.
The cues for the bar were long taking an average of 15 - 20 mins to get only two alcoholic drinks.
The entertainment was embarrasing all the reps did was mime songs for the two weeks the best nights were when we actually performed in the karoki entertaining our selfs other acts were people showing off performing parrots and snakes for 20 mins then the obvious have a photo taken for 15 euros.
I stayed with the family and set my hair on fire and put it out with a potato masher ho we all laughed it was the best night of the fortnight.
The hotel has been sold and closes in October so the current owners will not be rectifying any problems.

| said: We stayed at the Tamarindo for 2 weeks all-inclusive and got exactly what we expected.
We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments which overlook the national park, cute rabbits kept hopping around on the path beside our apartment.
Good sized apartments with really nice heavy duty wooden furniture in them.
Our patio didn't have any furniture when we first arrived however we mentioned this to reception and it was there within a couple of hours.
The maid came 5 days out of 7, changed the sheets regularly and always left us with masses of(at least a dozen)towels.
The rooms are quite warm, however we'd anticipated this and brought some bedside fans, I understand that fans can also be hired via Reception.
Reception staff were always quick to respond to any requests and always pleasant when the boys went up for tennis or pool table equipment.
The hotel is located further out of town that we have previously been and to be honest we therefore didn't tend to stray down into town or the beach more than a couple of times. There are a couple of bars just outside the complex which offer a good change of scenery. (Caspers offers free internet access up till 10pm at night, which again the boys made use of).
The entertainment is provided in the main via a team of Dutch entertainers, they are all multi-lingual (the guests are made up of mainly Dutch, German, English) and whilst basic, you can't fault their enthusiasm. During the day they organise activities such as football, volleyball, tennis, water-polo etc, all of which help the various nationalities mix much better than they would have just left to their own devices.
There can be quite large queues on an evening for drinks but I've never seen bar staff whose hands can move quite to fast when they try and get everyone served as soon as possible.
The food was typical of All-Inclusive. Pasta, rice, potatoes, chips, a couple of sauces, a meat based dish, a fish based dish, and a 'child friendly' dish.
On an evening there was a special that the chefs would be preparing on a hot plate infront of the guests, steak, chicken, roast beef, etc. There was always a salad bar and fresh bread at each meal.
Yes there were some days when there wasn't really anything you'd fancy given the choice, but catering on that scale that's to be expected - and to be honest we found ourselves missing lunch on a few occasions, simply because we weren't in the slightest hungry.
The food was always hot (although there was a microwave if you wanted it even hotter) and if you found anything off putting the chefs were quick to act.
(We'd found a pat of butter that seemed to have gone bad, the kitchen staff came out and threw away the whole bowl of butter portions and replaced them with fresh).
All in all, I got exactly what I expected from the holiday, great weather, a really clean complex (although if only the Brit's would keep their children under control it would be even better) and a totally enjoyable holiday.
I would have looked to return to the complex, as would a lot of our fellow holiday makers, however it is being closed as an AI resort at the end of the season and being sold off as individual appartments.
A real shame.

It was like a school dinnerhall.and it was cold.we ended up eating out after four days and all our spending money went on food. Which defeats the purpose of going all inclusive.
You would go to the bar with one person serving, and had to wait 15 minutes to get a drink which you were only allowed 2 at a time this holiday has put me off all inclusive holidays.
I would never go back again.

| said: After arriving at reception we were quickly given our all-inclusive bands and key to the room with a clear map with the minimum of fuss and found our way to the room.Very spacious and well decorated apartment over-looking the fantastic pool area.
Then the food.Well we have been all-inclusive for the past five years and this has been by far the most disappointing so far.Yes there was a few various dishes but mostly the food was on the cold side and the carvery was rarely cooked properly.I know some people like their meat on the rare side but not for me! The rep from our holiday company did have a meeting with the manager re the quality of the food who admitted to us that it wasnt up to standard and was cooked elsewhere and reheated in the hotel!! and to be fair it did improve slightly the following week but by this time we were eating out most days.
The bar staff did there upmost to keep everyone happy and glasses full but most days there was only one member of staff on duty and 10-15mins queing for a drink was normal.
Entertainment? Well i'm afraid was dreadful.During the 14 days we were there, there was only 4 so-called 'profesional' shows the wholr time,A parrot show, snake show,a regee singer(who was the best act we had ) and an acrobatic duo.The rest of the nights were taken up with the entertainers from the hotel jumping about on stage miming to music.
The hotel location was ok quite quiet but a good 20mins walk into the town centre which we didnt mind.Overall though very, very disappointed.

There were two good size swimming pools but they were salt water which stings your eyes. The hotel staff were very friendly and the entertainment team were good with the kids.
The shows at night were good the first week, but got repeated the second week which was boring. We met some realy nice people Wayne, Amanda and the kids. Marc and Claire, hello you guys.
The food was awful it was always cold and some meat did not look cooked properly, so we went out sometimes to eat, but would have alot more if we had the money.
We would love to visit the island again but not this hotel.

We booked for two weeks and ate out 4 times (it would have been more but as a family of 5 it would have been pricey!)The only good side is that we made some really good friends Hello to Michael & Sarah and also Claire & Mark! (Wheres us snake!!!!).
Saw cockroach on our second night in our apartment so had no sleep for 12 nights after that!
Would visit the island again but would not go back to the Tamarindo, only hotel I have stayed at and come back slimmer than when I went.

The place is fantastic. Clean is not the word. The room was cleaned 5 times in 7 days, with towels being changed and beds being made every time. The pool area is very good, the staffs were fabulous, especially the two bar staffs that were on in the evenings. Never had to wait any longer than 2mins for a drink, even on a busy evening.
The entertainment was, well, entertaining, and yes bingo 5 night out of 7 was a bit boring but was only for an hour. The food was ok. Never hot in the mornings, so got used to cold beans with breakfast, but the lunch and dinner menus were good.
I would, and will be going back. Highly recommended.

| said: We arrived at 1.30pm but didnt think we could get our key till 2pm, but got our key straight away and was given a map and shown how to get to our room, which we found easily.
We'd looked the Oasis Tamarindo up on the internet. so the new the rooms looked lovely which they were. The maids came 4 times in the week we were there, we got clean towels and the beds made.
The pool and bar area were really well kept with maids cleaning the pool and surrounding areas before people got to the pool.
The pools were salt water and very cold my kids mainly played in the kids pool which did warm up as the day went on and was only knee depth in the middle there was plenty of sun beds so no need to get up early to put your towel out.
The food on the other hand was ok but repetative. Breakfast was full cooked breakfast a choice of ceareals bread and crossants and fruit. Dinner was some kind of meat covered in sauce different every day with a sign to say what it is fish, rice, potatoes, pasta, pasta sauce and chips every dinner and tea the puddings were ice cream, jelly, cake (which was lovely),and chocolate dessert.
The snack bar was on 3.30-4.30pm you could get burgers, hot dogs, chips, sandwiches, fruit and ice cream from the pool bar.
The entertainment started with a mini disco then moved on to the other entertanment which was bingo sometimes, a snake show which u got to have photo taken with a snake for 20 euros if you wanted.
We didnt always go to the entertainment and went in to the centre to watch the football, the seven pints in the plaza is nice. Tiffanys round the corner does nice food if you get fed up with the choice on site, and the Winningpost which is a nice pub that has racing, football and big brother on is just past Tiffanys.
The Baku waterpark is just up the road and so is the market which is on on a Mon and Fri 9am-1pm which you could get some nice fake designer makes in handbags glasses belts etc but barter with them.
I would probably go back to the Oasis Tamarindo but on a selfcatering basis

| said: We were due to stay at this hotel for 2 weeks however we requested to be moved within 2 hours of our arrival. My sons bed was full of sand, his sheets on the bed were stained, there were squashed bugs all over the walls, other than that the rooms were very basic but a good size.
The staff on reception on our arrival were rude and even our rep didn't have a clue what she was on about. Turns out they want your flight tickets to photo copy!!! The bar served half full plastic cups of flat coke/sprite/fanta.
The beer wasn't much better and the wine was like vinegar... We are not fussy eaters but I can't even think of a word to describe any of the food. The apple juice we poured for our son was brown with foam on the top, lord only knows where that came from.
All in all no way would I ever think about visiting this hotel ever again. For those looking for all inclusive this is not a good option for you. It may well be fine for those looking for self catering.

| said: Stayed here for a chill out week with the Mrs before the full fortnight holiday with the kids.
Got exactly that, fairly quite and relaxed and away from the busy parts of town.
Complex is very large and very good. Good facilities all round and looks the part, two massive pools, more than adequate amount of sunbeds, lovely gardens with trees gowing bananas, tennis court, volleyball court, football pitch, kids games (air hockey etc), bike hire etc.
Was quite impressed with the room as when you book a hotel room you normally get a small bedroom and bathroom, this had a large living room with 2 large couches (Converted to beds), a kitchenette and a decent sized bathroom. A family of four could easily stay in this comfortably.
Was not impressed with the room cleaners, supposed to come every other day, they definitely did not, they seem to come probably twice in the whole week. Had to phone reception to get change of towels and bed sheets.
Hotel food was ok, fairly typical of all inclusive, although not much choice at breakfast compared to some places I have stayed.
Quality and variation of food is definitely one thing that does change according to the star rating of the hotel, so for 3 star I was happy enough.
Location is good if you want a peaceful holiday and its only a short walk to town centre, ideal for a nice walk in the sun. Taxis are cheap as well if you dont fancy the walk.
Not much in the way of entertainment, they had a couple of things on and their own team of entertainers. They had bingo most nights.
So again its good if your looking for a peaceful break.
Was not happy with the bar, only ever 1 bar man on, had murder at bar with one of them as he kept pointing at the sign saying customers would only be served with 2 alcholic drinks at a time (only done this as it got close to 11 pm!)
I pointed out to barman over and over again and this is my pet hate of some AI places that they didn't have pint glasses, so I would get 2 beers every time as that is only 1 drink!
Bar snacks are only on at 3.30 - 4.30. This isn't good for AI as the idea is to be able to skip meals as and when it suits you and get bar snacks!
I would definitely say this is good value for money and would definitely recommend it to anyone, ok theres a few niggling things but there only little things that you can live with, the sort of things you get everywhere you go.

The pool which is supposed to be heated was freezing! I didn't like all the extra costs: sunbed cushions, iron, TV, toaster, safe. These were not expensive but by the time you've paid deposits which was usually 10 euro for each item most of your spending money is gone! You get it back but its no use at the end of your holiday.
The entertainment was not up to much, bingo, karaoke, and watching the entertainment staff dance.
The food is very basic but with plenty of choice, nothing to make your mouth water but enough to fill you up. It was fine for the sort of holiday I went for which was me and my sister-in-law just to relax.

| said: We booked this holiday as a last min getaway and it was great for what we wanted a quiet week away in the sun in clean accommodation.
The all inclusive deal was ideal for us as we didn't want to spend much while we were out there as it was a last min decision to go away.
The all inclusive wasn't how I had imagined it though compared to other all inclusive properties I've stayed in before.
There was breakfast from 7 till 10.30am lunch was 1pm to 3pm snacks (hot-dog, burger, chips, sandwiches, fruit, ice cream etc) 3.30 - 4.30pm and dinner from 6.30 till 9pm. drinks were served from 10am to 11pm everyday.
They were very strict with there times as there was only one member of staff on in the bar where food and drinks were served one of my party members was standing in the Que when it was time to get served for an ice cream he said no time is up 4.30pm it finishes it was 7 Min's and she had been standing waiting till other guests had been served.
The cleanliness of the hotel was great couldn't of asked for it to be cleaner the rooms were immaculate cleaners were in everyday the grounds were clean restaurant and bar was clean in the accom there more like 1 bed apartments as this is an all inclusive and self catering property. There was a large living room with too massive settees which must turn into beds a TV which you can hire for 30euros a week a kitchenette with hob kettle and fridge, full crockery and cutlery sets and pans.
Large bedroom with two single beds pushe together a safe which is 5euros for 1week with a deposit of 10 euros which you get back at the end of the holiday.
The bathroom was lovely and clean full bath massive mirror and sink very clean accom.
The location was ideal 5 Mins by taxi 2.40 euros which is nothing I wouldn't try walking it though loads of shops bars and restaurants if you fancy eating out go to the plaza in the plaza go to slow boat 2 chinese its fantastic 7courses for 7.50 euros for drinks go to rock cafe and for clothes shopping girls go to mango its great.
If its a clubbing holiday your after there I'd only one club that we heard of its called waikiki on the beach and open till 5am every day.
We went to the beach on the sand dunes next to the 2 Rui Hotels it was 4 euros by taxi but amazing beach white carribbean sand lovely warm water.
The sunbed hire was 3 euros a day and umbrellas were 3 euros a day ( great wind blocks).
The entertainment in the hotel was shocking it was for the oldies bingo, bingo, bingo horse race night and bingo however, the best night was a blues brothers evening that was a laugh. Any other night avoid if bingo isn't your thing apart from anything else it will take you 40mins just to get served one drink, the ques are massive and again only one member of staff on the bar all evening.
As far as the resort goes this is meant to be the liveliest one its not lively at all perfect for all types of groups but certainly not 18-30 club.
From the harbour you can go to Lanzarote for the day 24 pound per person return for the day and it only takes 12 minutes.
The water park was closed for refurb but its now open again it looked like a really good day out and we were sad it was closed.
Would definitely come back to Fuerteventura again.

Quite a walk from the town but a taxi is only 2.8 euro's,nice bars and restaurants near the harbour try TIO BERNAHDE a typical Canarian restaurant.
Lower pool is heated but the top one is freezing.
Take a jumper in Feb very cool at night but hot in the day

The staff were absolutely brilliant especially the entertainment staff of Ollie, Edith and Tara. My daughter had the time of her life, she did steal the show a bit though.
The rooms were immaculate and the food was good, a bit samey after two weeks but still good.
The location of the hotel was a bit out the way but if you like going for a walk in the sun then it is ideal.

The rooms are spacious and cleaned on a regular basis.
The food was good for the price we paid although it did get a bit samey. We ate out a couple of times in the town as there were plenty of bars and restaurants available.
The staff worked very hard and were always polite and willing to help.
As for the entertainment! The Animacion team are terrific. We did not have any children but went down to the bar to join in at 8.15 every night. The adult entertainment is good too, with shows horse racing and Karaoke. The nightly bingo is good fun.
The only downside was the bar is quite open and did get a little chilly on a night. The patio heaters helped, but do pack a jumper.

The food was pretty good but after 2 weeks it gets a bit samey, but always hot and fresh. Childrens choice was very poor Chips and Spagetti Bolognaise everyday.
The bar closes at 11pm on the dot so not so good. Snacks were very poor and only available from 3.30pm-4.30pm the same thing everyday.
No ice creams free for kids only at meal times.Very cold in the Bar in the evening during winter months, make sure you take some jumpers!!!
The hotel itself you couldn't fault very clean and tidy, excellent rooms very spacious and new, staff all very welcoming, the heated pool was like getting into a bath so nice especially in winter as most pools in winter are not heated. One downfall it was salt water, but good for your tan.
Overall we really couldn't complain it is good value for money and you only get what you pay for.
The hotel is a little way out of town but only 2-3 euros in a taxi.

The food was plentiful and we had always found it hot and thoroughly cooked, there was a good variety of meat and fish, salad drinks.
Only one downfall was the bar closes at 11pm and then you had to pay, which we found ridiculous for an all inclusive complex.

The rooms are basic but everything you need still need new beds though still hard as nails. Maid service was very good a lot better from last year and they were nice as well.
The food on the resort was cooked by the chief he was very good and cheap.
Also location was fab not to far out and close to shops.
Staff was fab, bar staff what can a say about them Carole Colin Tracy Claire and Yanis we had a laugh will them all.
Entertainment was nil so we went next door to the Dunas which was still the same which was sad really considering they have been doing them since I was alittle girl long time ago now but the kids seamed to enjoy it.
I would visit this hotel again as it is friendly clean and a good plce to stay

| said: Having just returned from a week at this resort i can honestly say it was fantastic. After reading many poor reviews, we didn't really know what to expect.
On arrival at the complex we were met with very helpful staff, who went out of there way throughout the holiday to make us feel comfortable.the apartments were light and airy, very clean and comfortable, cleaners visited on a very regular basis, which was good as we always had full bins due to my daughters nappies!
Entertainment was good, we were usually in apartment by 7.30 as it is our daughters bedtime so didn't really see the night entertainment.music was by the pool each day, not loud at all.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis, food ok, a bit sameish by the end of the week though what do you expect after having to feed so many people.
We generally went out most days to walk and look around Corralejo.
Hotel location, about 15 min walk from resort centre, quite a nice walk so no complaints.

The room was very large, modern and clean with all the ammenities, although it would have been nice to have more direct access to the apartments outside space (it was out the front door)
It was a plesant walk into the town proper as we ate out most nights and used the hotel for breakfast and lunch only.
Great for a relaxing break!

The hotel staff were excellent! Entertainment wasn't great but 100% for effort from the animation team.
Whilst the food was a little repetitive it was of a good standard and plentiful. My son is a fussy eater and never left the table hungry.
Overall we felt the Tamarindo provided good value for money.

| said: Have returned from a family holiday to the Oasis Tamarindo with mixed feelings.
I cannot fault the staff for their friendly and helpful attitude, from cleaners through to bar/restaurant staff.
On the downside was the unrelenting music by the pool. If you want a quiet relaxing hotel this is definately not the place to go. The entertainment team whilst enthusiastic probably try too hard and even resorted to 'play your cards right' at the pool side one afternoon.
Evening entertainment was repetitive for the children with such classics as the okey kokey and the music man. To be followed by local entertainers or horse racing night for example. Absolutely nowhere to sit and have a quiet drink.
Food was reasonably good standard, lots to choose from but felt a bit samey, chips available lunch and evening. Best time to eat in evening is 7.00pm when most people still at pool or in bar.

The only down side of the hotel is that there is nowhere to have a quiet drink. Also it would be nice to have air conditioning in the rooms. Everything else was great, the apartments were really spacious, the pools fantastic and quite warm (nice to get in to cool off), and the food was quite varied, although it did get a bit boring after 2 weeks.
The entertainments team did their best, but their evening shows were awful. There were professional entertainers on three evenings out of the two weeks, and they were all very good, especially the Blues Brothers.
The staff were all very friendly, especially the bar staff, who made loads of lovely cocktails!!
All in all we consider that we got good value for money, especially as we only booked the holiday a few weeks beforehand.

| said: Me and my partner found this hotel a great suprise due to how little we paid for the holiday.
The apartments were large with kitchen bathroom living room and a area where you can sit outside.
The only thing I can say bad about this hotel is that it is abit out of the way of things to do, but its pretty much the same over the whole island.
Also the food was lovely, I am a fussy eater but still we spoke to many people and they also said the same as I was thinking, that there was a variety but it was pretty much the same every night.
I couldn't of put up with it for 2 weeks and would of started to eat out.
The entertainment was average, the animation team put in 100% effort. Maybe they should think about bringing more acts in, instead of using the animation team so much.
The African men were good though. They were two African men doin various acts such as fire eating, getting the crowd involded, doing the limbo, and very good gymnastic skills which was amazing.
The pools was a bad thing for me though. They were salt water if I knew just how horrid it is to play, swim and splash in I don't think I would of booked this hotel.
O
verall the hotel is lovely, the people working in the hotel were brilliant with great English.

My partner and I have been on all inclusive holidays before and this was the worse.
The rooms were clean to start with, but the maids only changed the sheets and the towels, but NEVER cleaned the rooms or surfaces.
The staff were not helpfully in the slightest, they even lied when they didn't know the answer.
The entertainment was shocking!! I've never been so insulted.
And last but no means least was the food.
It was DISGUSTING. I wouldn't even have fed it to the wildlife. There was no variety, no choice and kept in a disgraceful manner. The cold fish that was meant to be with the salad was unrefridgerated and had flies all over it. We were offered rabbit and veal as our meat dishes and, of course, there were chips with every meal.
I would never return to the Oasis Tamarindo, and i wouldn't even reccomend it to my worst enemy.

The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough.
The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels always seemed to appear. I saw no evidence of cock-roaches or any other bugs.
The food was basic but there were plenty of choices and I recommend the fresh grilled Sea-bass or the Veal steaks.
Andre the Maitre-d was always polite, smiling and helpful.
If you get bored with the food there are plenty of restaurants in town.
The location was ideal as it is on the edge of town so it is reasonably quiet. Town is a short stroll of about 30 mins and a cab back was 2.5 euros.
The staff were always smiling and bent over backwards to help.
The entertainment was diabolical and that made it all the more fun, after a few Bacardis we would laugh all night.
For kids there is plenty the entertainment staff put on games and dancing for the little ones.
My only gripe is that it could do with a separate adults bar were like us if you came to escape from screaming todlers you could relax a bit.

The food was as good as it could be. Pretty sameish but they are catering for a vast amount of people.W e both really liked eating in the restaurant with friends. Try the bread, so lovely and fresh.
It was about 5 minutes to town in a taxi and cheap so it's very reasonable.
The water park is ace. The best day out for us ever!!!!
All the staff are brilliant and there to help! The childrens animation tem kept the kiddies happy and even got me and my boyfrind on stage for his birthay (thanks Luca!!!)

| said: I had very mixed feelings about the Tamarindo, but the week we were there weather was perfect, really hot with hardly a cloud in the sky and I think that made up for any of the hotels downfalls.
The hotel itsef was excellent, rooms were very new, spacious had lots of nice furniture in them. The pools were also very good, large, extremely clean and had loads of sunbeds around them. Didn't even see a single cockroach which I was a bit concerned about before I went.
I have noticed some complaints about no air-con and the hotel being too far from the town, the brochures clearly state this, so it is a mystery as to why anyone would complain about this.
The hotel is a 30min walk to the town or 3euro's in a taxi and is only 10mins walk from a great water park (19 euro's entry for the day).
On the down side the food was not very imaginative and not very good quailty. There was lots of basic salad, chips and normally a choice of meat and various strange fish dishes. I'm not very fussy with my food but on occasions even I struggled to find something. We often ended up having a small salad which we used as a starter then went into town to some of the excellent restaurants (try the Plaza centre). Having said all that the breakfast was slightly better, with quit a lot of choice and served 7am -10am.
The entertainment in the evening was marginally worse than the food! Very little going on for the nights we actually stayed there apart from endless repeats of Agadoo and the Macarana, if that's your thing then great, but not for me. The entertainment was so bad that despite being all inclusive we decided to go and find something better in town.(try the 7 Pints Pub, we had two great nights there). From what I could see the kids entertainment seemed much better, but we didn't have any children with us.
All in all it's not a bad cheap all inclusive hotel, and I would be happy to return due to the excellent hotel, pool etc but definitely only on a Self Catering basis

| said: After reading several bad reviews about this complex I was rather nervous about our holiday especially as we were going in peak season. As far as we are concerned there is nothing to worry about.
The complex itself was lovely, it was always kept very clean and tidy. We couldn't fault the apartments, these too were always kept very clean, linen & towels changed regularly. You have to pay for fans & TV if required. You can also use phone in apartment which is quite cheap.
Pool area was kept very clean, very spacious, always managed to get sunbeds.
Restaurant was kept clean and tidy and staff worked very hard to ensure tables were kept clean and available. It did become very busy at times and you may have to queue but not for long. We enjoyed the food, there was always something there for each of us but after the 2nd week it did become very much the same but I still can't fault the quality of it. In the restaurant you could also help yourself to soft drinks/beer & wine. The Pool Bar is a meeting point for the daytime entertainment & the
Animation Team worked very hard to entertain all ages. We didn't get involved in much but the Kids club was a success/water polo/water exercises/table tennis/football & much more.
Evening entertainment is also at the pool bar which starts off with kids mini disco, then each night there is a different act on, but most of this was quite entertaining.
Drinks are served from 10am till 11pm and are very generous. You can help yourself to soft drinks & beer. Food served in pool bar from 3.30pm - 4.30pm
Burgers/Hotdogs, Chips & Sandwiches, never had a problem getting food during this period.
Went bowling a couple of times, this is just 10 min walk up road. The water park is also a fab day out, again this is within walking distance. Flag beach is a must, its beautiful, you have to get a taxi but make sure it drops you at the Riu Hotel. Its quite busy here but if you walk past the first aid block its a little quieter. We made the mistake of being dropped on the main road and none of the taxis would pick us up so we had to walk to the nearest hotel. We took mini surf boards & snorkels, had a great time.
In all we had a really enjoyable holiday, everyone seemed very friendly & helpful. We would stay at this complex again but I think next time we would go self catering, hire a car and see more of the island.
Enjoy & have fun.

| said: When we arrived at this hotel we were all pleased as it looked lovely, two large saltwater pools and lovely surroundings.
The apartment was clean, large and comfortable. However, that was the best it was cleaned for the two weeks we were there. The maids seemed to only make beds and change towels. The floor wasn’t washed once, lucky if it got swept.
We have been on quite a few all inclusives and have always liked them but this is the first one we have been on were you have a long line of people waiting for their food which if you don’t like fish you only get one other choice. I had stewed beef for four days on the trot. The dishwasher must have broken for the first few days because the plates were wet and still dirty. People were wiping them on the tablecloth before using them. There were a lot of flies.
Breakfast time was the worst. Your best time to go for meals is when it opens when all the tables are clean.
The entertainment was rubbish. A hypnotist who gave up.
For three nights we had electric failure in the bar so the entertainment for those nights was a disaster.
Be careful of the salt pool as easy to get burnt.
All in all lovely complex but a big let down if you’re all inclusive. Don’t expect all day snacks (only for one hour a day) or ice creams. What ice creams?

The night entertainment was a load of rubbish and so was the food they had fish, chips and pasta every night. The food was disgusting and the soda machines come out with just bubbles.
The cleaners only made the beds and made a noise the didn’t even wash the floors if we were lucky they sweep a bit. The rooms were lovely and the beds were really comfortable. There was no air conditioning in the rooms so you had to pay 30 euro for a fan for two weeks.
While we were there 6 rooms had been broken into, I found a stolen camera stuffed in a palm tree. The staff just made a joke of it when I handed it in.
It was very clean around the hotel and the gardens were lovely.

The location wasnt all that great either it was a 4 euro taxi ride to the beach and a 3 euro ride to the main town there was a supermarket next to the hotel but this was very expensive
All the staff spoke good engish and they were always smiling but there wasnt enough of them this made a long line for drinks in the evening.
the daytime entertainment wasnt bad but not great. The night time entertainment was terrible with a bingo night a racing night and a very bad hynotist.
the hotel overall was very poor and i urge everyone who is thinking of going to the oasis tamirindo dont go you will regret it.

The dining room was far to small and under-staffed for the amount of guests. The tables were left with dirty dishes all over them and you had to hunt for clean crockery. The dirty tables attracted swarms of flies which were a constant battle to try and keep away. The food was probably the worst I have ever tasted, it was really awful it mostly consisted of bland watery stews and tough fatty meat. We had chips with every meal and only once did we have jacket potatoes which you couldn't eat as they were rock hard!!.
The dining room was dirty, the floor was always littered with food and drink that people had dropped.
You could get burgers and chips between 3.30 - 4.30 however it was chaos, just like feeding time at the zoo! perhaps because no-one could eat the lunch!.
The entertainment was very average, bingo, a race night, karaoke and a hypnotist who was rubbish!.
In the evening there was only one bar with one person serving the whole of the hotel which meant you had to queue for ages for a drink.
The only positive to the holiday is that I have come home 4lbs lighter! so it's not all bad!!!!!

OK the food some nights was a bit ropey but there was always enough alternative dishes and none of my family (including a VERY picky 5 year old) ever went hungry, it was adequate with chicken, fish, meat and some limited veggie stuff.
A word on the staff, cleaners were'nt there every day but attended often enough so that nothing got dirty. The animation team and kids club stuff was frankly superb, the guys worked like dogs to keep the kids amused, often appearing at 10am and still there at 11pm.
This holiday is what you are prepared to make of it. If you want 5 star, pay 5 star.
Highly recommended, anyone who has just booked and is worried......Don't be

The food was horrible, the children 15 and 13 could not eat in the restuarant the food was that bad so most afternoons and nights we ate out which cost us an extra lot of money over the 2 weeks.
30euros a week for the basic tv, no air con.
The pools were dirty 7 euros for the cushion for the sun beds per week have to also pay for fans, it was money, money, money, I THOUGHT I WENT ALL INCLUSIVE.
We expected snacks through the day, only from 3.30 -4.30 only hot dogs, hamburgers, had to pay for pitza. basic dry sandwiches.
The bar is very small and only one, small fridge where they bring out the snacks so people crawling all over each other for an hour, well not even that as the food went pretty quickly, no more put out. God help people when the hotel is packed. NEVER AGAIN.

| said: Myself and a friend decided to visit Fuerteventura as we wanted a fairly quiet holiday. We chose this hotel as it was All Inclusive and a great deal. We honestly couldn't fault it!
The apartment complex itself is beautiful - very clean and the surroundings were stunning. Our apartment exceeded our expectations, being light and airy, clean and so roomy. The balcony was indeed our very own sun-trap!
We had our room cleaned and towels changed almost every day.
The food was better than expected after reading previous reports but by the 2nd week I have to agree, you really knew what to expect and it all got very "samey".
Staff though were more than helpful and often asked if there was anything they could do for you and if the meal was ok. The bar was great - staff were very friendly - although stuck rigidly to the finishing times of the AI bar!
Although we did not join in the entertainment arranged - the guys who did it couldn't be faulted in their enthusiasm. Always trying to encourage the lazy sunbathers into playing games!
Although we knew that this area would be quite quiet, we did manage to find a few places to go - round the corner is a sports bar (who plays Big Brother every night!) and a taxi into the town (cc Atlantico) was 2 or 3 euro.
All in all we had a fantastic time - weather, accommodation and tour company couldn't be faulted.
Definitely go back......as soon as possible!
The only complaint I would have is that I thought everyone else there looked like they'd been sent to a concentration camp!! Bloody cheer up - you're on holiday!!

we were moved to tamarindo from Oasis Duna by Cosmos after 2 days and i wished we'd stayed at home. We got to our room and were overpowered by the stench of sewers, we complained and they sent a cleaner to put bleach in the toilet which didnt help.
My husband got eaten alive by mosquitos that cost us 132 euros at the doctors as we were sent to a private clinic. We were over run by cockroaches that were 3-4 inch long about ten a night.
After a week of no sleep and complaining they finally listened, admitted they had a problem with the drains and moved us to the other side of the complex. this was a week too late as my husband would not leave the room until it was night and he put a long sleeved top on to go for our evening meal he was too embarrassed to go out otherwise because of all the bites he had suffered.
The bar was a joke with one member of staff on it was that bad the queues were longer than the post office on pension day. There wasnt a lot for the children to do so they got bored very easily.
The best part of our holiday was the flight home.

| said: This was the first time that we had stayed all-inclusive and was not the hotel that we had originally booked, so we did not really know what to expect.
On arrival we were pleasntly suprised to see that the accomodation was very clean and in the 2 weeks we stayed there the rooms and bedding were changed most days. The complex itself was spotless and well looked after with any problems fixed straight away.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and especially good with the kids.
The entertainment was superb and the kids club extremely well run with lots of activities throughout the day for kids and adults alike. night time entertainment was ok but the mini disco for children was excellent.
The only downside was the lack of different foods. The first week was great but by the start of the second the novelty had wore off and so did resort to eating out on a couple of occasions.
The pool bar was excellent and still can't get used to not being able to just walk up and get my own beer and walk off without paying.
All in all a great holiday and would definately visit again.

| said: We booked this holiday at very short notice and was our first time all-inclusive.
On arrival we were very pleased with the hotel, the rooms were very clean and airy.
The staff at the hotel were allways every polite and helpful, the pools were fantastic and we never had any trouble with sun loungers as there were always too many.
The hotel food we found to be good but a little repetitive, but hey for a week any one can manage.
The kids club was great, it was the first time our 4 year old and been abroad and we only saw him at meal times and bed time, they looked after him well and on his birthday made a huge fuss over him and gave him a party to remember.
The adult entertainment was not bad but we have seen much better.
All in all we wanted a break for some peace and quiet and thats what we got a fantastic holiday at the right time of year and we all came back very well rested.
We enjoyed it so much we are considering going back every year at the same time of year.

| said: After reading some of the poorer reviews we seriously considered changing our holiday to elsewhere but we are so glad that we didn't (we went past some of the other hotels which really did not match the standards of the Tamarindo)! We have just returned from the Oasis Tamarindo where we have been on honeymoon and have to say we were very impressed.
The apartment complex was fantastic, very clean and picturesque. Our apartment was lovely and clean and well appointed - lots of marble and we were very impressed.
There were lots of palm trees, landscaped gardens and wonderful views. The pools were magnificent and of an impressive size as well as the 2 large main pools, there is a small shallow pool for the little ones. We stayed all inclusive and the food/drink and general service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and tidy and always offered a good selection of food for all tastes, there was a microwave available if your food wasn't as hot as you like but I have to say ours was always fine.
I find other people's comments regarding the lack of atmosphere in the Pool Bar hard to fathom as we found it to be very pleasant and very friendly bar staff. The measures of alcohol are VERY generous and there was also internet and TV facilities available should you get the urge to catch up on affairs back home. The 'animation team' always tried hard to entertain especially the children's mini disco which was great fun to sing along too (and we are in our mid twenties!!) Would recommend taking a couple of jumpers as it can get breezy in the evening.
The town is a 20 minute walk away, however you may find getting a taxi back to the hotel is easier as it is very cheap 2.50 euros and saves you walking uphill especially in the heat! There is some nice shops and some good bargains to be found - be ready to haggle for the best price!

A multitude of sunbeds always free around the three pools, 2 of which were huge putting other hotels pools to shame.
We were always able to find food which suited us and never had to wait for drinks at the bar.
Only flaw the awful weather which we were told was freakish for the time of year.
Finally my compliments to the animation team who worked tirelessly to entertain us.

| said: I have just returned from a lovely stay at the Oasis Tamarindo. I went with my friend and her family and enjoyed it very much. I like to go to hotels that have lots of entretanment - night time as well as day time. The night time entertainment was OK, not brilliant but all right. It consisted of some guest involvement but it was mainly outsiders coming in and performing. I have to say the reagae guy was FANTASTIC he received a great applause at the end. There were only 3 animators in the complex, one doing the kids club and left the other 2 entertaining the adults. One animator left when we was there and was replaced by another which was a good job because the guy who left kept barking!?! Daytime activities included bingo, table tennis, volleyball, darts, cocktail games (nothing really to do with cocktails you just win a cocktail when you collect your diploma on a night time.) Plenty going on.
Just some advice - if your travelling in a party of more than 4 then get transfers as although the taxis are cheap to and from the airport you are paying twice as you'll need 2 cars as 7 seaters are hard to get hold of. However if you need a taxi to get in 2 town then they are easy to come by. You go in reception and they'll phone one for you and by the time you get outside there is a taxi waiting for you.
Food was lovely. Loved the fried brakfast in the morning. Sometimes the baked beans abroad are weird but here they are just like you get at home, same goes for the milk you use for the cereal! Good variety of food, but a lot of the time it was cold although still eatable. There was a mexican themed night one night, that's OK if you liked Mexican, i'm not a big fan! If you go into town the restaurants there are brilliant. Visited an italian and indian restaurant and was pleaded with the food.
Location was OK. You could easily walk into town if you are fit enough. My friends sister had to have cruthches so the walking distance isn't suitable for all as it is about a 15 minute walk. Didn't visit the beaches there so can not comment.
Overall a pleasant stay and i would definitely recommend this hotel!

| said: Hi after reading all the negative reviews etc about the Oasis Tamarindo I felt I needed to sign up just to say this....
My partner and I went to this hotel in Mar/April 06 and found it top notch all the way. The food was of a good variety and as regards to the warmth of the food, there were microwaves in the restaurant which guests could use, although we found the only reason food wasn't that hot is because we left eating too late in the evening (near to close).
The grounds are superb and well looked after by the looks of them, complex is disabled friendly in my opinion, that is why we are going back in 7 weeks (April) with my diasbled mother.
Rooms are very satisfying with all amenities you could need (Living Room with dining table, kitchen etc )and kept impeccably clean.
Entertainment staff are very friendly and fun, 1st class ( Janine, Caroline & Rowan), they even asked us to go on a night out clubbing with them on the last night of our stay after they had finished work at the hotel (midnight or so), we were well look after to say the least.
I would 100% definitely recommend this hotel to anybody and look forward to our next and future visit/s.
Hope this is of some use to anyone.

The room was a little musty but very clean. The only thing I would say is they should put the apartment numbers on the outside wall of the buildings as we arrived in the dark and it took us half hour to find the apartment!
Lovely and quite ..taxis cheap, market across road on a Fri brilliant but do bargain got a "Gucci" watch from 25 euro to 8 euro...
Staff are fabulous and we even got 2 picnics for Lobos island day trip free.
We have already booked to go back with our 2 children in 7 weeks time it was so good and best of all we got a great tan...... enjoy

| said: Afer reading poor reports about this accomodation on this site (and many others!)we were wondering whether we had made the right choice but as we were only staying for 1 week decided to give it a go anyway.
How glad we were!! Apartments were clean, spacious and comfortable. Never saw 1 cockroach unlike some earlier reports.
Hotel food varied and there was something for everyone. A good choice at every meal-Meat, pasta or salads, cooked or cereal/toast etc breakfast. Travelled with 3 faddy kids and can honestly say they all ate well at every meal! One minus-food was not always piping hot but this did depend on what time you went to eat (restaurant poen 2-3 hours each meal time).
Hotel located towards rear of town but within walking distance of everything. Local markets, bowling, waterparks, bingo etc small walk from hotel. Some bars and 1 supermarket also close but main town approx 2km away (2 euros in a taxi).
Hotel staff very friendly and accomodating.
Entertainment/Animation Team worked EXTREMELY hard to ensure that we had enough to do during the day, killer darts, boules, volley ball, water polo, football, Cocktail games, killer table tennis, pool, tennis. The team 'bent over backwards' to ensure that all were entertained although there was no pressure to join in any of the activities.
On one poor weather day, even an impromptu trip to the local bowling alley was organised to ensure we didn't get too bored or fed up.
There was a daily kids club for the younger ones which seemed popular. The pool area was quite relaxing and peaceful during the day although main pool was salt water and cold.
Night time entertainment was variable (but family orientated-a mini-disco for the younger ones every night followed by various shows-parrot show, flamenco dancing etc -average quality!) The only gripe I have here is that the only bar is open to the elements and was cold at the time of our visit. Unless you managed to get sat next to a patio heater in this area it was quite cold and uncomfortable.
I can honestly say that the service we had seemed personal and friendly and we all had a great time here although I'm not sure that it would be the same during high season

This was our first all inclusive experience and we have to say it was lovely, we came home having put on far too much weight! We could not fault the food selections at every meal, we really cannot understand other peoples complaints, fair enough on occasions the food could have been warmer, but it is impossible to keep the food piping hot continuously, there were even microwaves to warm up your food if needed.
The only gripe we had was the pool bar area in the evening, this was hopeless and quite cold some nights, this area is only any good for the daytime, people need somewhere more comfortable for the evening to sit and have a after dinner drink.

Rooms weren't cleaned very often, bed linen was stained!!! and changed twice in our two week stay!!! Towels weren't changed regular!!!
Food was cold and repetitive, dirty crockery and cutlery, glasses. We had no butter at all, New Years day!!! We had chunks of an alternative? at our evening meal, floating in a bowl of cold water!!! Our New Years Eve Gala dinner was the same cold food which included a red paper table cloth and a candle!!!
Entertainment was very low key about one hour every night wouldn't recommend to a friend or foe!!!

| said: On arrival I thought what a place, only to realise my holiday was going to be downhill from here.
The food was awful repetitive, cold and undercooked (hence eating out every day, no point in being all inclusive) There is only one bar which is outside and was just like a big shack which could become very cold in an evening. There were only snacks between 3.30 and 4.30 if you like flies with your croissants and again undercooked food. The children's ice creams were non existent most days the staff would just say got none till tomorrow which is not what children want to here especially on holiday. There was only ever one bar staff on at a time and queueing could take some time.
Rooms were nicely decorated and it was nice that it was an apartment which is unusual for all inclusive. Rooms should of been cleaned 5 times a week if that's what they class as cleaning and our linen was only changed twice in 2 weeks and should have been done 6 times.
Pools were nice but the pool area is dangerous as tiles have big holes in between them which need grouting and my daughter ripped her toe nail off on these.
Location of the hotel was about 20 mins from the main centre and beach but was a nice walk and taxis are cheap enough.
Entertainment was basically none existent in the day the kids club which was rarely on was in one of the entertainers apartments, the nighttime entertainment was awful.
Please, please remember to get a safety deposit box as soon as you get there we were robbed on the first day whilst at the welcome meeting and know of others that were also robbed including one lady who had money taken out of her handbag from by the poolside.
I would not recommend this complex to anyone especially on an all inclusive basis.

| said: When we first arrived our immediate thought was what a beautiful complex it was. Rooms were very spacious with everything we needed in them... however... things started to go very much down hill..
The shower rail kept coming down and hitting us on the head, the hot water would go cold very quickly. The rooms smelt of sewage, the walls were paper thin so we could hear people in the next room going to the toilet and kept us awake by snoring and shouting late at night. Rarely cleaned rooms the sheets were only changed twice in all the 2 weeks we stayed. I'm not entirely convinced they were changed before we got there as stains were on the pillow cases and bed sheets (yuck!), not much privacy on the balconies either....
A lot of building work was still being carried out next to bar, we were woken up at 8:00am every morning by the sounds of electric saws, drills and hammering.
All the grouting on the floor tiles round the pool was loose or not completed hence the 3rd day we were there I broke my toe between two tiles that hadn't been grouted...
Evening entertainment was horrendous, you had to sit outside in the cold if you could get somewhere to sit at all.
We counted at least 2 rats in the evening.
Huge queues to get your drinks as there was only one barman to do all the work must have got at least 2 drinks per night due to the queueing problem. When we did finally did get served the drinks were extremely limited hence we ended up drinking else where nearly every night..
Food was was disgusting, was under cooked and not very varied, couldn't hold down the food and ended up eating off the complex and all my sicknesses stopped (strange that hmm...
I really want to point out to you all that all inclusive is NOT all inclusive not compared to other hotels. For example they didn't couldn't even be bothered to offer cheap, local, alternative drinks so I was on cokes all night as there was very limited drinks there and I didn't like anything there, all so you are expected to drink out of small, plastic cups. The ice cream selection is very poor for kids and you are only allowed an to purchase one between 3:30pm and 4:40pm....
I noticed the kids club was non existent, I know I have no kids but I couldn't help but notice they were encouraging kids to run around as fast as they could around the slippery pools as part of their entertainment (surely that's not safe?)...
Could go on for hours and I feel that you have read enough to make the right decision now. HOWEVER I must emphasise that in a year or 2 this might be an excellent complex but it's just not ready to take paying customers just yet...
Good luck you will need it...

| said: Well what can I say, We arrived at this hotel with a smile we left very disappointed and let down.
Although this hotel is a bit far out to the centre and the beach it is in good location if you just want a relaxing chill out holiday. The apartments are lovely, very spacious and with self catering facilities aswell which was a bonus.
The surrounding gardens were well kept and there were plenty of sunbeds in the pool area to choose from. ALL in all it seemed to be a good start to our holiday but there was a few factors which let this hotel down dramatically, Food was very poor not much variety and was cold most nights. Entertainment was terrible especially not what you would expect frpm an all inclusive hotel.
As a travel Agent myself I would not recommend this hotel to families with older children as there was not much going on apart from the usual darts or water polo. The nightly entertainment programme was a joke! very poorly organised and not punctual! There was not alot of variety of drinks available at the bar which only had one member of staff, so there was queue's every night.
To top it all just a word of advice As soon as you get there at check in hire a safety deposit box which is 15 euros because we had all our money stolen from our room whilst we were having our evening meal, our room was locked and all the windows too ,we checked before we left.
We most definitely think it as a member of staff as they would have needed a key and most of the staff has access to them. We were not the first or the last to be robbed this week we knew of 6 others with similar cases one of which a family who was hit the first night before they even had chance to get a safe as there children wanted some food. This seems to be a good opportunity for thieves to act, just please be very vigilant and do not trust anyone.

| said: Just got back from a fortnight to Oasis Tamirindo.
The staff were extremely friendly, and the two staff employed by the hotel to entertain the children made the holiday for us. The children went off to play tennis, table tennis, football, water polo which left us with lots of relaxation time by the three massive swimming pools.
The food was varied and you could always find something you liked.
The rooms were lovely - no complaints at all on this score.
The town centre was about a 15-20 minute walk away, but the roads were well lit and it was a pleasant walk after dinner. There is a water park on the way to town which proved an enjoyable day out. We went on one excursion to Oasis Park which I would highly recommend.
The only drawback I would say was the evening entertainment, we did have entertainment 6 days a week, but it started a little late - usually about 9.30pm and our youngest child was usually too tired to enjoy it.
There's not too much to do around he immediate vicinity of the hotel, lots of empty new buildings - I'm sure in a few months these will all be snapped up and the place will be very lively.
All in all, we can say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have come back very tanned and very relaxed.

| said: We stayed on the upper floor of the two storey appartment and our friends on the ground floor. The accommodation itself was very clean and tidy upon arrival with regular cleaning and towel changes throughout our one week stay.
There was plenty of variety with regards to the food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was always something that each of our children would eat, so there was never a problem with them not eating or drinking as all were in plentiful supply.
The location of the hotel is away from the main resort, but very close to the waterpark and bowling alley. Although we were away from the main resort, this did not pose a problem as it was nice to take a stroll in to the resort and down to the harbour. There is a lot of building work going on all over the island but this does not spoil the holiday as the building sites are rarely active and noise is very minimal.
Staff at the hotel were very pleasant and friendly. The entertainment was not too bad but as this if fairly new complex I am sure will get better. We enjoyed a magic show , solo guitarist, quiz & bingo nights. The staff also had daytime activities that included football, beach volleyball (purpose made court) and water polo. With regards to childrens entertainment we went to the Oasis Papagua which was 5 minutes walk away for the kids to take part in the more established kids entertainment schedule. Also there is a play area within this complex for the kids to enjoy.
We were not too bothered about going on excursions so stayed by the pools during the day, which all our kids enjoyed as they were able to swim & play safely whilst in our sight. The pool also has a resident lifeguard on duty if there are any problems, and there are plenty of sunbeds situated around each of the 3 pools.
Overall the complex is very well maintained and managed, staff are wiling to help and are very friendly, the standard of the food is good. This is an ideal place to come for a relaxing time laying by the pool.
The only thing that the appartments don't have is air-conditioning, although you can hire fans for your holiday duration. The appartments on the upper floor tend to be cooler in the evenings than those on the ground floor due to the higher ceilings.

The location is a little far from the shops and beach about 30 mins walk taxis cost around 2.30 euros which I found was reasonable. The beach and shops are very nice, so are the pubs and restaurants.
The staff were friendly at the Tamorindo, but I must say the entertainment was not very good if any at all, the poolside was very clean, and the pools are great. My 8 years old son could stand in all of the larger pool.
I think in a couple of years time there will be more things to do closer to the Tamorindo as they are building all around it , ( but this does not effect your holiday at all it was still peacefull ).
I might go back there in a few years time . It was quiet when we were there week beginning 5th October,so there was plenty of room around the poolside, even if it was busy I,m sure there would be plenty of room.

What luck, the Tamarindo was superb and far better than the village complex. We had gone just for a rest and that’s what we got.
We booked half board but we could have gone AI as no one bothered to check on us.
The food was buffet and although not 5 star was still good, many of the visitors had up to 5 courses and none of the staff said a word. Free water soft drinks wine and beer.
The hotel location was poor being a fair way from town but we managed the walk (I am 77) and got a taxi back, only £2. The hotel is in a very quiet location and very restful.
The apartment we had was ground floor with its own patio and was spotless. The complex only opened in may 2005 all the staff were very pleasant and kept the place very clean.
There is almost no entertainment however this could be that the place is so new they still have to get organised. Great swimming pools (2) we would visit again for a good rest and sunshine.

The hotel was spotless it was cleaned thoroughly by the pool, the restaurant, the rooms were always cleaned to a high standard tidying up our things ensuring we had clean bedding and towels.
We both thought the food was superb couldn't fault anything, we did feel that towards the end of our stay the food options did seem to go a bit lax. There was a wide variety of different foods for everyone to have for all meals.
The staff were very helpful and service to a high standard, we had laughs with few of the staff as they were very friendly to approach!! Any problems or concerns with any thing they were happy to help.
The holiday rep was lovely, we spoke to her a few times and my partner spoke to her regarding our holiday as we enjoyed it all but all complaints she was getting were negative mainly from all inclusives!!!!
The entertainment we both agreed with everyone on this as it was poor and if paying for all inclusive I would be really disappointed with the hotels evening entertainment as basically there wasn't any!! People were playing their own CDS a few nights we were there!!
I would definitely go back and would recommend this hotel to other people I know.

| said: We had a brilliant time when we were at the Tamarindo. The accommodation was first class all nice and new. We had 7 apartments between us 2 one storey and 3 up and down they were no. 28 to 31b right by the pool they were close enough to the pool and we just kept the patio door open for the kids to go in and out. Did not have to do much cooking as we were AI kitchen did not look as if it had been used. We were originally booked for the Oasis Village but our accommodation got changed 10 days before we went. (thankgod for that but it is a long story)
We went in a group with 5 families 22 in total kids ages ranged from 6 to 16 so we did not need much entertainment there were a few shows on while we were there a magic show, parrot show, a guy singing and playing a guitar (I thought he was quite good),saw him twice also two men and a women who done a juggling act and who also got the audience to participate that show was a laugh but only lasted for 45 minutes. There was also a mini disco and quiz with a couple of reps. One night we played bingo which was a laugh when the lad was calling it was in English then Spanish then German so you did get a bit confused but I WON so I was happy and I was 70 euro's better off.
There were queues at the bar (the lovely manager when he was around got rid of the queues quickly as he could remember your drinks and he would have them ready for you) but you could get 4 drinks everytime you went so we never sat without a drink you just use to go when the queue went down. On a couple of nights during August I did need my jacket. There was always a breeze anyway.
Around the pool during the day there are two reps who ask the kids to play "water volley ball" "killer darts" "football" or "volley ball on the court". They also done bits and pieces at night around the bar area.
There was a sign advertising the play area but the kids looked and looked for it one night and could not find it so I guess it is not yet built.
All of our group were happy with the food the kids always found something they liked. There was chips everyday as well as other potato products now and again. There was chicken nuggets and little fish shaped things sometimes. They did cook chicken, fish, steak or pork sometimes on the grill so that was ok. There was plenty of deserts, fruits and loads of ice-cream all different varieties. My son used to cook cheese with ham on toast in the morning if there was nothing he fancied. We were there for 2 weeks so I think you do get sick of eating. We did eat out on a few occasions but that was our choice and we had a birthdays celebration. (highly recommend "Slowboat 2" chinese it was delicious) There was a sports bar just around the corner which had the football, cricket and other sporty things where the lads went when the sun got too hot!!!!!! That had a room next door with pool table, air hockey and other things for the kids.
The building work does not effect you at all you do see one crane over the roof of the reception but it was way over the road. There is loads of building work around all of Correlejo so the crane industry do a roaring trade. I think in a few years when all the building work is done I may think about going back.
We went to the water park during our stay and everyone enjoyed it. There was no hassle with queue's we hired rings so you did not have to wait for someone giving you one. There were 7 big slides 3 you needed rings and a couple of smaller slides also there was a play area for the little ones. I dont like the slides so I just chilled out. You also have to pay for your sunbeds.
We also went on a couple of trips we went to Lanzarote on the Blue Dolphin (kids loved that) and to Animal Quackers it was a animal park both trips were enjoyed by everyone. The camel ride was the best.
We all did have a really good time we were bothered about our holiday as the Oasis Village where we were supposed to be staying had really bad reviews so we were happy being at the Tamarindo.

| said: We decided to try Corralejo and the Tamarindos as there was little chioce around last minute.
When we arrived we were struck by the stench in the appartment. Although they were brand new they obviously had some sort of problem with the sewer's.
The only smell that was worse was the smell of the food, we ate there twice buy couldnt bear it after this. It was a long walk, about an hour, to the beach in scorching heat with no shade. If you wanted to ho to the town this took about 40 mins. Not a fun walk as surrounded by construction sites and the noise and dust this entails.
If you wanted to stay at the hotel, they played the same cds on loop, which were often scratched and therefore skipped, as they were piped around the pool you really couldnt relax there, especially as the alcohol seemed watered down! If you brought a family here it would be hell, people we spoke to were desperate to leave and the reps and the hotel staff couldnt give dam.
The two nights entertainment in our week consisted of bingo, and (I cring to mention this) but a larger than life rep dancing on stage with a child to Saturday night by Whigfield.
Me and my girlfriend amused ourselves, luckily so it wasnt a complete waste, but we could have done that anywhere!

| said: This was our first All Inclusive holiday and I must say it was very disappointing.
There was no kids club, very poor evening entertainment and the food was dreadful.
The dining room was chaos, there was very little choice and the food was often cold. I made several complaints ie: pork and chicken not cooked properly, still running with blood.
Snacks and Ice cream were available between 3.30pm & 4.30pm ONLY.
There was basically nothing for the children to do at the hotel apart from 1 pool table (with 3 balls missing)and the air hockey table. Worked out quite expensive at 2euros a go.
The only bar in the hotel is the pool bar. Drinks were served in very small plastic glasses and as there was only one tap for serving beer it was not unusual to be queing for up to 20 minutes.
The location of the hotel is 2.5 miles from the resort centre. We know this because we hired a car rather than walk or pay 2.50euros a time for a taxi.
We would not recommend this hotel for families, the pool areas and apartments were great but maid service left a lot to be desired.

| said: We were supposed to stay at Oasis Dunas but Cosmos kindly moved us 6 days before we travelled. Only just open, mainly all inclusive so we were a bit left out. Only one beer tap at bar took ages to get served, all inclusive people weren't happy with standard of food or drink. Its a good 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurants through building sites 16 cranes around area. Taxi to town 2.50 euro. The swimming pools were lovely, no kids playground yet!! Football and tennis courts, the pool table was 2 euro but go around corner to winning post nearest bar and its only 1 euro and they have airhockey etc. + they have Sky so u can watch football. The complex died at 11 O'Clock as thats when the all Inclusive guests had to pay for the drinks so don't expect a late night.
We had a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment we were the first to stay in it and there was builders dust all over the floor. The maid service wasn't that good they never swept or mopped the floor apart from the day before we left and that was only because I grabbed the brush and started sweeping up. The towels were getting smelly as 5 of us were using them we waited 5 days for clean ones. Kitchen facilites for Self catering very limited, 2 electric rings, no kettle, toaster or microwave, just a frying pan, casserole dish!!!? and a milk pan(however we had to ask for this and for a bath plug. Even though the room was for 5 we only got 4 cups, 4 chairs etc. The shower was brilliant however be warned as the room steams up the shower rail falls down on your head!!!
We only had 2 cockroaches during our 2 weeks so not too bad. There is nothing around the complex the supermarket opened while we were there but very expensive. For an all inclusive complex I never once saw a kid with an ice - cream, the beer is served in little plastic cups.
When the area around is developed it will be better.
