Been coming to Puerto Rico for the past 7 yrs now and have stayed in many apartments.

I found Lara apartments to be a lovely, clean, relaxed and friendly complex. The rooms were spotless and the maids came on a daily basis. The rooms were very spacious and had a good sized balcony with great views.

The apartments were located just across the road from the Europa centre where the bars and restaurants are(not far to stumble home from). The apartments reception is shared with the Nido del Aguila whose facilities are also shared.

The staff were very friendly and polite and spoke good English which does help!!!.The Lara does not have any entertainment but you are welcome to join in at the Nido.

The complex was really good and was value for money would definatly return and would recommend to families.

My first impressions were that the Lara was a little bit old and in need of a lick of paint.

If you arrive in the middle of the night the reception is a nightmare to find as it is located in the Nido apartments and most taxis drop you off outside the lara.

These were the only bad points as the rooms were clean and the maids came in every day.

The location could not be better-straight across the road to the europa centre. You also get fantastic views from a good sized balcony.

arrived early hours in morning.no problems obtaining key.
room was great, clean, spacious, with everything you need.cleaned daily by an "invisible" maid service.
food available in the bungalows next door,as well as a well stocked shop.
entertainment was also available in the neighbouring site, but the europa is just opposite with a great selection of bars and shops.the barbacoa show bar is just alongside, providing excellent entertainment with great "happy hour" and good food.
cheap taxis down into the town centre and beaches.
altogether a brilliant base.would go again and again

We went to puerto rico on our honeymoon and originally stayed at Miriam apartments which were awful. We almost flew home it was so bad! We complained and were offered the Lara apartments as an alternative. We were allowed to have a look before we moved our things and we were really really pleased with the apartments.(It was like going to a five star after the Miriam)!

They were clean, bright, spacious and located in a nice place. The pool was always clean, the staff were very friendly, the food in the bar was lovely. The pool area was never too busy and seemed to be a sun trap which was nice.

The view we had was gorgeous, we had the pool and the sea! The restaraunt which is located by the pool (Picasso, I think) does amazing food but was a little expensive, well worth a visit though. The Europa centre was just over the road which was handy too.

All in all staying at Lara made our honeymoon what we wanted it to be, very enjoyable and relaxing. Would definately go again when we go back to g/c.
