Hotel Majestic is a very impressive hotel. It is in an excellent location about a 20 min stroll from the centre which is ideal if you want to sleep at night. It is extremely clean and we found the staff to be very friendly, courteous and helpful. Towels changed every day.
We only stayed for a week but found that the food was varied on all days - something for everyone, good choice - even a vegeterian section and special section for the kids (fishfingers, chicken nougats that kind of thing). Restaurant does get busy in the mornings around 9.00am but for the evening meal we had an allocated table for the 7 nights we were there. We were on first sitting for dinner but there was no problem if you wanted to change as we did for 1 night - Staff very helpful. Can't comment on entertainment as we didn't stay in at night. We had a sea view and overlooked the pools - be up very early if you want a sunbed we saw people reserving them at 7.00am in the morning - that wasn't a problem for us as we enjoy the beach and it's only a 2 min stroll across a narrow quiet road with 50% off sunbed and parasol charges if you stay in the Majestic.

Hotel was really nice but the apartments were not quite ready which was unfortunate seeing as we had to spend the fist night there due to the hotel being full.

The room we were moved to the next day was excellent overlooking the pool and sea.We booked a two week holiday so you can imagine our surprise that after the first week we returned to our room to find it completely empty of all our things and a maid cleaning it out. Asking what was happening the maid said you check out. We went to reception where all our belongings had been thrown into our bags and were told we should have checked out at midday. We told them we were on a two week holiday and that we had only been there a week to which their response was they had 3 Taylors staying that week and they had checked the wrong ones out by mistake. We were then given another room our third in a week along with a bowl of fruit and a bottle of sparkling wine.

The reception staff were not good all the way through the holiday and I feel they really let the hotel down, as everyone else worked hard to make sure you had a good holiday.

The food was okay not as good the second week there was always chips and meet, it did tend to get busy but we always managed to get a table.

If Sunbeds had towels on them before 9 o'clock maids were instructed to take them off.

The Majestic was a fantastic hotel, absolutely five star just with a few niggles. There wasn't enough sunbeds around the pool, if you wasn't there by 9am you had no hope, the dining room needs to be sorted out, i.e. either have your own table for the duration of your stay with perhaps a couple of sittings, went down a few times at breakfast to find there were no tables (as happened a couple of times at dinner), staff were quite rude although food was plentiful and presented very nicely.

Full of Germans who were quite rude at times and took over the hotel.

Apart from these faults everything else was most enjoyable, had a lovely holiday and my children (aged 7 and 2) had a great time.

Portland Kidzone staff were brilliant keeping the children occupied and happy most of the time.

The majestic we found to be absolutely fabulous, a couple of minor blips, but nothing to put you off your holiday. The hotel rooms were cleaned every day, the staff we found were polite and helpful.

I personally found the food boring during the second week, but that was me! There was an array of food to choose from, so you really shouldn't get bored, perhaps more choice should be open to children as I found that there wasn't much choice there.

The pool area set out is superb, however, unfortunately there wasn't enough sunbeds to accomodate guests, and if you wanted a sunbed. In the morning we found, at 7.15 that towels had been placed on beds, this supposedly wasn't allowed, but nothing was there to force this measure. so if you want a bed in a particular place, as you do when you have small children, be aware and get up early, get that alarm clock set, and save ya bed. We got up early and sat with our sunbeds, so we didn't really have a problem with that.

The service at the bar area both in the pool area and in the nightclub area were both extremely slow (and the nightclub was not busy). There was just not enough staff to meet the demand of the holiday maker.

The evening entertainment wasn't up to much, provided by the hotel animation team. i personally thought that early evening there should be more for the children.

There was a mini disco that was held 2 to 3 times a week from the thomson staff. The Thomson kids team, did a tremendous job with the kids and our daughter absolutely loved every minute of the club.

Although I have pointed out the blips of the hotel I thought that this was a superb hotel, we had an absolutely fab time and we would definately go back.

Majestic hotel is the best hotel in sunny beach very impressive indeed. We had a sea view room which is well worth the extra the view from here overlooking the beach and pool was spectacular. It was also very clean and they had cleaners going around 24/7 our maid was very good and came in every day to clean and replace towels.

Reception staff could be a bit rude and not that helpful also the dining room staff were a bit slow at serving drinks and clearing away.

My biggest complaint The food was terrible all processed meats and everything was bland with no taste if you like chips chips and more chips you will love it.

The Majestic is a very impressive hotel and I would say the best one in Sunny Beach.

The cleanliness was superb there were cleaners around 24 hours a day, the rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday.

We had a sea view which was well worth paying extra for as the view from the back of the hotel was not good at all.

The food however was awful very bland, undercooked and repetitive, all 4 in our party had bad stomaches so make sure you pack some diarrhoea tablets, It was also quite hectic in the restaurant, we went down around 8.

The location was very good right on the beach but away from all the night clubs, but there are plenty of bars and supermarkets close by.

The hotel staff were quite ignorant and the reception staff could be abrupt and rude but I found that all Bulgarians were like this.

I can't really comment on the entertainment as we didn't stay in of a night to see any, but from what I did see they seemed to try to make an effort.

Would I visit this hotel again, only if they rebuilt it in another country as I would never go back to Bulgaria

I got back from Sunny Beach this morning after a 2 week stay.
As many reports have already said, the cleaners seem to around 24/7 mopping steps, cleaning windows, emptying bins etc. so the place is always spotless!

There was quite a lot of choice when it came to meal times. I prefer the simple things like cereal, toast, fruit etc but my boyfriend tried most things (pancakes, cooked breakfast, cold meats etc.)
Again a lot of choice for an evening meal. We always went down to eat just after 6pm as it was quieter then and the food freshly out.

Hotel location was perfect for us as it is situated in a quiet area but just on the doorstep of nightlife (mostly bars, restaurants etc. The clubs were a bit further in the centre of the resort) We caught the little train to resort centre and also walked there some days as it is a nice walk.

Hotel staff were split into 2 categories! Reception staff didn't always understand what you were saying and smetimes abrupt. The cleaners were the most miserable though. No matter how often we smiled and said hello, they just didn't even acknowledge us!
On the other hand, the restraunt staff were lovely and polite. Showed us to our table, asked how our day had been etc. Some of them spoke a bit more English than other staff so that may be why.

Tha animation team around the pool durig the day were excellent. They tried to get you to join in with the activities but were not too pushy at all. And if anyone knows what the name of the song is that they have gests dancing around the pool to at the end, I would be most greatful to find out as it was quite catchy!

Cant say much about the hotel entertainment as we went out instead.

The hotel is impressive but the workmanship in some areas is sub-standard but this maybe because it had to be finished in a hurry (husband noticed this really, not me so much). The hotel is in a very good position and our friends were told by an estate agent that we were staying at the exclusive end of Sunny Beach.

The pools are great and large but pretty cold. The sun loungers are very comfy as they all have a padded cushion on them. As with most hotels, you'll find the same problem here with people getting up early to bag the sunbeds and not enough to go around. We only had one day when we didn't get any and ended up on the beach.

The rooms are good for size and are kept clean. Our maid wasn't the best eg. we had the same glasses all week (we just rinsed them out and got on with it). Just small things like that really nothing major. Our room and our kids room next door (4th floor) had some water damage and whilst someone had attempted to paint ours the kids room was still not done (again nothing major). There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room for any of you that need your fix in the morning so glad we took our travel kettle.

There is wear and tear already starting to show in the corridors and rooms but as long as they keep on top of this it should be OK.

The reception staff seemed ok not that we had a lot to do with them. What would have been helpful is if when we checked in, they told us where the lifts were and which ones to get into in relation to where our room was (this is a big hotel) but they just leave you to it. We found our room and whilst our kids key worked in their door our wasn't activiated so I phoned reception from their room to be told a Porter would be up very soon. So we waited and waited and eventually husband went down and got it activated and the Porter never did show.

The food was pretty good something for everyone. Breakfast we found to be the best with things like pancakes, egg, bacon, cereal, cheese, ham etc etc. For the evening meal there was a good choice the salads were very good. The one thing we were annoyed about is that you couldn't get even a glass of water with your meal without paying for it. So after the first night we didn't have a drink with out evening meal. We thought it would have been nice to have some background music to try to get a bit of atmosphere in there as it was a bit like a canteen. Small complaint though really nothing to spoil your holiday.

We didn't go to any of the evening entertainment at the hotel but the daytime animation team are very energetic and fun and do a really good job in the day.

I could go back to this hotel again for a good price but we like to try somewhere different every year.

Arrived late at night which seems the norm, when pulling up to the Majestic the WOW facter kicked in it is very grand. Our room was in block 3 which was exellent only thing was the lifts YES its true to say a bit fritening but we never got stuck in them.

Our room was cleaned every day and all the things for cooking were where, not that we did any becuase its so cheap and i do meen CHEAP to eat and drink anywhere. The location of the hotel is the best on the resort not to far from anything but the hotel sits a bit more back from the front which dominates its grand position.

The staff at the hotel, well to be honest were ok to us but sometimes their is a probleem with the lanuage, as in they don't understand.

As for the entertainment the pool staff were brillient, as for on the night ? we were never there to much to do in sunny beach

We are looking to go back next year and cannot wait well done Majestic Hotel and well done Thomsons.

Our stay in the Majestic was fantasic, every morning the staff would walk aroung the pool asking if you would like to join in with morning games the same in the afternoon.

The staff were all great they did not push you to do any games and always made us laugh. The staff were very friendly and do anything to help.

The food was lovely and gave us the chance to try new and exotic foods. I cant fault this hotel at all the location was brilliant and views were amazing.

room was very spacious and clean along with the rest of the hotel I cant wait to revisit and I will most definatly stay in the Majestic.

We had never been to Bulgaria so a little unsure but the hotel made the holiday special and so much more determined to visit again.

Most definitly recommended.

We have been to sunny beach three times we had the Aqumarine Hotel the first time brilliant, the second time we had the fiesta beach, briliant! When we wanted to book one of these 2 hotels they where fully booked, when we stayed at the fiesta beach the majestic hotel was being built so we decided to book the majestic.

When we arrived the majestic it was ok, but then it all went down hill, the staff rubish, food poor wouldn't feed it to the dog, the lifts were a health hazard, we were told to leave our room's at 12 the last day, we wanted to pay for room until we left the staff said no.

This was a joke as this hotel had about 400 rooms, we where told by staff if we wanted to have a shower before going to airport we wolud have to go by the pool.

This hotel is of a very poor standard keep clear.

On arrival at the Majestic, it looked very impressive, a very grand looking hotel and when we walked in we were all very impressed with it. There were people cleaning the floors and stairs even at 3am!

I found the Reception staff very abrupt, but this could be due to the lack of English, they did not direct us to a particular set of lifts, just showed us our room number on the card. No explanation of what the other cards were for, but these were self-explanatory in the end.

We were very impressed with our room, we were on the 5th floor, the room was large, with a TV and a small fridge. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and with the exception of one day, were cleaned and all linen was changed. You cannot get a cleaner hotel than the Majestic!!

The food was OK-ish. If you like chip butties then your'e fine! Also, if your'e not too fussy and don't have to know exactly what something is, then you may enjoy the food. We were offered a meal on arrival as our flight had been delayed, which we were very grateful of, until we saw what it was! It was basically left-overs from that evening's dinner, not alot of choice, and warm salad isn't really a favourite!

One couple had a problem with accessing their room, (at 3am this is not good!), finally after trekking down to Reception to have their key re-programmed for the 5th time, the Manager came upstairs to show them how to do it, unfortunately their room was still being occupied, the couple in question had booked for 2 weeks and this was the second time Reception had tried to book their room out!

The hotels location was great, straight on the beach, not far from the centre, but just far enough. If you don't like the food in the hotel, there are fresh fruit stalls and pizza and jacket potato stands just outside the hotel, and you can take it back to your sunbed with you.

We found the pool area to be lovely, the water was a little cold, but OK once you got in and got swimming! We had no problems getting sunbeds, but we did put them down very early. The sunbeds were comfortable, as halfway through the holiday we were given cushions for them, which was a really nice touch. The "Animation" Crew were OK, they tried to get everyone involved, adults and children. Although, after 3 days of rain, we found that there wasn't much to do at the hotel, the gym and sauna etc weren't finished so it was a case of just sitting in the bar really and watching the World Cup!

I wouldn't rush back to Bulgaria in general, but I thought the Majestic was a very nice hotel (or will be once it is completed), they just need to look at their menus a little and learn some customer service skills!

Food displayed fantastic very bland chicken, beef, pork was processed meat.

Location was a bit of a walk, if you left anything in your room it was a hike back.

We were on the 7 floor with a poolside view beautiful.

Very big hotel, 1 comment I would like too make is put the English separate from the foreigners.

Arrived late at night,to be really impressed by this grand hotel, which at first appearence seemed very impressive until we where allocated our room in block 2, which can only be described as a building site.

Struggled through a corridor strewn with building debris and materials, wires hanging from ceilings, to get access to the lifts, sent to the ninth floor as this was the only one finished.

Got to the room where when opened the door handle fell off, the porter shrugged his shoulders, handed me the handle and promptly walked away.

Nothing in the room worked, lights, telephone, television and most importantly the air conditioning.

It got worse, next morning awoke at 8.30 by the builders finishing off the remaining rooms on the 9th floor, had to struggle past the army of builders and cleaners who hogged the lifts and stairwells( which were still being painted at the time).

Average waiting time for lifts ran at about 20 minutes and a lottery to see what floor you got off at.
Headed straight for reception and the rep, have never in 25 years of holidays encounterd such rude, unprofessional reception staff, to be told by the customer relations manger" if you don't like it, go elsewhere".

The options offered to us by our travel company where not suitable for our family and decided to weather it out and stay at the Majestic.

The daily struggle for lifts and getting past builders and furniture did not improve, got worse if anything.
Shame on Budget Travel who sent us there, and whom were wholly aware of the situation at the hotel, as they had been accomodating people at alternative accomodation for a number of weeks previously.

However I will say, that this will be a beautiful hotel when finished and if they ever get all the facilities up and running. The entertainment whilst they try hard, is pathetic (do not expect Spanish standards here).

The location on the beach if great with a beautiful
pool area with the best sunbeds I have ever encountered, if you managed to get one.

All in all, this could be a good hotel if firstly if was finished and secondly if they could beat some customer service ethics into the staff.

The hotel was very clean the cleaners work very hard.

The food was very nice a four course. Soup, salad and main meal of your choice and desert.

The hotel is two minutes from strip and a nice twenty minute walk from main centre

The reception staffs are not always's helpful and can be glum at times. The animation team around pool are friendly and have a chats with you, which is nice.

We enjoyed the entertainment but it got repeated three times while we were there. Some shows they ask you to pay for. I don't think that is right
Would only go back with my family to this hotel because of pools and pool area I think it is the best in sunny beach.

The workmanship in hotel is shabby, so I will read all reviews and see if any repairs are getting done.

We stayed in The Majestic for 3 days out of our weeks stay. We had booked with Budget Travel for a half board hotel room, we were given a self catering apartment that was half finished.

The whole block was in the process of buing built. No working lifts, certainly not commissioned lifts. Sharing stairwells with builders who Im sure admired the parade of ladies and young girls in thier bikinis. Electric cabling and wiring exposed, no air conditioning, no phone working in room, no tv, fridge kapput, no hairdryer, iron, skirting board, no doors on presses.

Room being fitted out while there. Eventually Budget moved us to another Hotel. Staff are very bad, shrug their shoulders, say "ring your rep" or "come back tomorrow at 9". Wouldn't go there again if it was free.

The Majestic will be a great location in a few years time when it is finished and the staff get used to dealing with people and gain a customer focus.

Food was ok if you like chips with your chips.

Thought that overall the Majestic was a really nice hotel.

The whole hotel was constantly being cleaned, rooms were serviced everyday and the pool area was also clean as well.

Food was brilliant - huge choice for both breakfast and dinner. Would advise getting down to breakfast before 9am though as it gets manic then! Careful of the Chicken though - its often still pink.

Pool area was fine - two large pools and kids pool. Sunloungers have soft mats on then which is nice. There are plenty of loungers there but make sure you get your towels down before breakfast here!

What can I say about the staff? Some of the bar staff are OK, even better if you tip all the time. The reception staff are abysmal - there are three standard responses - "Come back tomorrow at 9am", "No" and "See Your Rep". The rep however was really good and answered any questions we had.

When we arrived we got allocated a room with No Sea View after paying for it. This happened to around 10 of us who arrived at the same time. The hotel / Thomson have agreed to componsate £40 per person plus refund the money paid to upgrafe at time of boooking. It was annoying but we didnt let it ruin the holiday -not like some others who went on about it for two weeks solid!!!

The entertainment is getting better. I think that the Animation team are listening to peoples comments and acting on then (no pun intented), there were changes to the shows then we were there in the second week. Make sure you see a couple of the "Late" shows - these are not always advertised and are professional shows from outside entertainers. Usually about 11.30pm.

The lifts. OK, I conceed that they are rubbish to an extent and people did get stuck.... however my advice here to anyone going is to hit ONE BUTTON ONLY, not both the "Up" and "Down" buttons at the same time. There are signs telling you this but they get ignored - hence the "Lift Lottery" problems!

The hotel itself is obviously brand new therefore looks pretty good - build quality is what you would expect really. Facilities are good - Gym, Spa, Tennis Courts etc. The location is fine - takes about 20 minutes to get to the resort centre. Its good to be close enough to get there but far enought for it to be quieter.

Overall the hotel was really good and would stay there again - hopefully the few small things can be sorted as the hotel "finds its feet"!.

Stayed in the Hotel Majestic at Sunny Beach.
This was our second visit to this resort as we stopped in the Fiesta beach Hotel last year.

The Hotel Majestic is or could be a very good hotel if the staff should some manners and didn't show preference to other nationalilties, the rooms and public areas are clean and of a good size, and pool area is of a good size(be down early if you want a sun bed all taken up with towels by 8.30).

Food was pretty good but be carful with the chicken and turkey not always cooked, that aside the rest was of a good standard and plenty of it.

Build qualitly of the hotel is a little shabby.

A word of warning the lifts in this Hotel are a joke
in the two weeks we were there I heard of at least 5 people stuck in them and not one day passed without them being broken.

The door either stopped open for ages or shut that fast you couldnt get into the lift, when you did get in it was a total lottery which floor they went to, you press 2 it would go upto 11 or straight down to 1.

If you have a disability I would not use this hotel as there are a lot of steps.

The resort os Sunny beach is lovely though and well worth visiting.

If we go back next year we will not use this hotel but the one next door the Fiesta beach or Victoria Palace.

I went June 2-9. It was absolutely lovely. I LOVED the Majestic. Only about 2 other hotels there looked to compare as nice (the Victoria Palace next door and the Riu Helena or Helens or something similar). The pool was a bit too cold for me (I'm from Southern US) but it was warm enough for my English husband and plenty of others. The weather was perfect for me. I think we had one evening rain shower, other than that it was dry and almost always sunny and in the 70s (F). I wouldn't have enjoyed sitting by the pool had it been any hotter. We have enough hot days where we live in GA. There were tons of people getting sunburnt by the pool this time of year so no worries about booking an early June trip for future reference.

About the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. There was quite a huge selection especially if you like meats and eggs for breakfast. I was happy with crepes (pancakes), and croissants, oranges, kiwis for breakfast. They also had coffee and tea but the "orange" juice was not really juice so that was disappointing. For dinner, they only had cash bar options for drink, not even free water which was disappointing, but the dinner selections varied each night (3 or 4 main dish selections), also always pizza and pasta on the buffet with sauces and some kids selections (fish fingers, etc). Lots of salad stuff and fresh bread and many desserts incl. ice creams. I was very pleased.

The room was very nice and spacious, incl a fridge in the room and a TV with lots of channels. I had a small problem with the bathtub but a repair guy came within 3 minutes to fix it. They were very good at customer service and being polite and prompt about any problem. One thing I felt was missing was a box of tissues. I had hayfever (if you are prone to spring allergies, bring your meds from home) and was constantly using the toilet tissue.

They did give you towel cards to get towels for the pool. Pool loungers were a bit hard so I'm glad we brought our own towels as well for comfort.

They were finishing a restaurant while we were there. Looked to be almost done.

They also just finished a brand new turfed football pitch while we were there. Bring your ball.

They also opened a games room when we were there a couple days. It had snooker, darts and pool table for a fee of 1-3 lev I think.

There was a storage room for the luggage on the last day and you could book a courtesy room to use on the last day you are there if you have a late flight like we did... the room happened to be the one we checked out of at noon!

They were also building a bar on the beach to go with the hotel. It was nearly done when we left. SHould be open now. Would be some nice views to sit and drink there.

Our room was on the 4th floor. View was great. Would have liked to be a bit higher, but no lower for a good view, In my opinion.

Location of the hotel was perfect. Quiet end of "town" but it gets more and more busy as you walk along. We walked along the promenade every night toward the busier area. Only took 15 mins to walk up there.

Entertainment- they had a nightclub just in front of the pool. There was evening entertainment every night at 9:30 but it was done by the animation team and wasn't too great, amateur stuff, but free! Comfortable place to relax and have a laugh with a beer. The animation team were super friendly and ran darts competetions, water polo, exercise times out by the pool daily.

Oh, the pool bar had 2 plasma screens installed while we were there so you sports fans can watch your stuff out there! Another plasma screen in the hotel lobby so you have something to watch while waiting for you coach.

Hotel, all in all was super clean ALL the time. The cleaning staff were always sweeping and dusting.

We all had a fantastic time at the Majestic hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and when finished properly it will be magnificent. The hotel itself is still to be finished and teething problems are to be inevitable, although i felt they didn't really effect our stay nor the enjoyment of our holiday.

The hotel is extremely clean and our rooms were made up every day and fresh towels replaced. The food was amazing and tasted great. There was so much choice of food and i ound it was well prepared and beautifully displayed. The staff are extremely friendly and the animation team go out of their way to keep you entertained with daytime activities and evenig entertainment. The kids club was a god send and my daughter loved going. It was always on at least once a day for about 2 hours.

As for getting a sunbed around the pool, we put our towels out at 9am when we went for breakfast as the pool gets very busy. I think this reflects the fact that the pool area is clean, tidy and the entertainment is well... entertaining!!!

Only real down fall was the lifts!

If you can work the lifts out then good luck to you cause they have a mind of their own although you do eventually get to the floor you require.

We was lucky cause we was on the 3rd floor so we used the stairs majority of the time.

We had one of the best holidays we'd ever had. Great for families as kids can go anywhere with you and there are plenty of facilities both in and out of the hotel grounds.
We struggled to spend our money over there which was a bonus!

Anybody looking to go will have a great time.

We would definately return to the Majestic and Sunny Beach.

Again as with other reviews on arrival I thought we had got away with it as the hotel looked very impressive, however the reception staff were so rude. I had tried to learn a little Bulgarian before travelling but they did not seem to notice.

Our room seemed very nice except there was no bed or bedding for my son and our sea view was of a rooftop with noisy air vents and the apartment block of the hotel in front of us, not what I had paid for. We went back to reception and he told me they would try and get a bed for my son tomorrow I said this was no good and we needed a bed for him and he said tomorrow tomorrow and walked away to serve somebody else. Eventually they agreed to get a bed but only after about half an hour and at 3am this was not acceptable.

The food was fairly good.

We never did get a sea view room and it really was still a building site jcb by the pool and workmen everywhere we could not go on our balcony as there they were angle grinder in hand.

Staff were rude their English is better than my Bulgarian but I tried yet we only found one nice member of staff in the dining room.

Entertainment was appalling and bordering on 18/30 holiday amusement not family orientated at all.

The pool is nice but everything else took away from this. There were no cushions on sunbeds when we visited just as there were no doors in some doorways and live wires sticking out of walls and mould all over the toilet ceilings no TVs round the bar etc but something new appeared every day.

This hotel was not finished when we went despite claims from our travel firm that it was. I would not visit again as I have no desire to go back to this hotel.

The lifts were so dangerous trapping my daughters arm and bruising it badly. Not that anyone seemed to care.

Just returned home after spending two weeks at the majestic hotel in sunny beach. We had a great time although the hotel let us down.Tennis court, five a side football, gym, sauna, pool table, all these things were unavailable when we arrived although the pool table was ready just as we were leaving.

Apart from that the pool area was great, as was the weather. Can't understand people not liking the food, there was loads of choice, most of it very nice.

Bulgarian food was delicious especially Kavarma, a pork or chicken stew. We found the western style food not up to British standards but how many of us can cook bulgarian food well?

Kids club was great, kept mine happy for hours. I would certainly return to the majestic when all the facilities are available. When finished it will be great. One word of warning, the lifts are deathtraps!

Stayed at the Majestic for two weeks from the 26th May 2006.

Hotel has a few teething problems when we arrived due to us being first lot of arrivals for the season, the rooms are nice and we had a great sea view(extra charge).

The lifts in the hotel are very very unreliable, we where lucky as we where on the four floor so we didn't have a lot of stairs to climb, but I did feel sorry for people with babies in trollys and also older people that couldn't walk. There are twelve floor in the hotel so Isuggest if you have children or difficulties with walking that you make a reservation for a low floor.

We stayed half board and I found the food to be Ok, there was always something to eat as the variety at breakfast and evening meal is vast. Staff could improve on their customer service skills but I dont think they are anywhere near our standards.

Pool attendants where taking Levs from people in other hotels for the sunbeds which I found to be disgusting as people in the Majestic where left with no beds.

A week would have been enough.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Majestic Hotel on 30 August 2005 for 14 nights. The time we spent there was very pleasant. We had read that the hotel was no where near finished before we left to travel to Bulgaria so we were concerned about what it would look like when we got there. We were very pleasantly surprised!

The hotel is beautiful, it is very grand and is extremely clean. The middle section of the building (the hotel section) was completely finished and this is where we were staying so we had no problems! Quite a large majority of the self catering apartments where not ready, however the only things that had to be finished were small things such as light fixtures and balcony furniture. We experienced no unsightly building work or loud work noise.

The food is basic but is still nice enough to eat, the menu is quite repetitive but there is always plenty for the holiday makers to eat and if you like the safe options they do make food such as chips, spaghetti with bolognese or other sauces and the deserts are delicious.

Cleanliness - every time I stepped out my room and into the reception area there were workers constantly polishing the large marble floor and we got replacement towels and other bathroom accessories every day. The hotel in my opinion cannot be faulted on its cleanliness!

The staff are extremely helpful, we had a small problem with our safety deposit box key not fitting our safe and they dealt with this in a very friendly and helpful manner.

When we were staying at Majestic Hotel, although the entertainment at the pool during the day by the "Animation" staff was excellent and they tried their very hardest to get everyone to join in, there was no evening entertainment, although when we were leaving they seemed to be working on an entertainment room which I am sure will be a success!

The pool area is so spacious, there are 2 large pools and when we were there, people were coming from other hotels to use the pools at majestic because a lot of the other hotels pool areas are very cramped. The sun lounger area is very spacious and there is plenty of space for many more sun loungers to be laid down. The hotel also has an absolutely amazing view over the beach.

We would definitely consider going to this hotel again and I think next summer they will have it finished to perfection!
