We got to our hotel at 4 in the morning lovely hotel staff ok like.

The next morning we got up had breakfast which serve eggs, sasuage, bacon etc you get fried or boiled eggs fried eggs are awful the so cold not even cooked right! Eggy bread hard and cold.

And they have nice sunbeds but should have more umbrellas and they go quick! There are only 6 ! And 40 sunbeds by 8:30am there all filled so I would suggest to go early. The pool bar is absolutely rubbish! Because I ordered a salad it took 1 hour should definitely be more staff only 1 person.

Entertainment more staff at least 3 people should work night and 2 on pool bar. Televison, good better than I expected. They have h20,cramp twins, chowder etc. Watch out for your beds lots of ants they bite all the time. It isn’t cheap as what people make out to be! Just the same as Spain.

Rep not help at all when we left they never told us are coach we nearly ended up in Dublin! Instead of Manchester when we were all settled to leave then she told us this is the Dublin coach she just came said goodbye and walked off never told us are check in desk. They just want your money! Throwing trips in your face she is never on the rep desk she doesn’t do much.. If your going on a trip there is a trip place round the corner cheaper about 50 lev cheaper more helpful. I went in 11th august 2008 for 2 weeks hope this review has helped

reception staff very unpleasant we had no towels left in room one day when we returned from the beach,on asking the receptionist, I was told none was available that I would get them in the morning, all we had was sandy towels we had to the beach, and as we were in desparate need of a shower, I had to ask the rep if she would try to help funny enough within 10 mins we had 2 towels, the only staff we found pleasant were the room cleaners all the rest looked as though they didnt want the hassle of having us there, especially the staff on reception, hotel badly lacking entertainment,so if you didnt feel like going out for the night, you just had to sit in the lounge or outside at the pool which had about 4 tables & chairs, on the upside for what its worth the rooms were clean & spacious

We will go back to bugaria again but not to this hotel, the food was disgusting we were served RAW chicken twice(although the first choice rep said it was rare chicken)we ate ouy most of the time because its so cheap but we hadnt budgeted for this. There is no entertainment inthis hotel except for a five min parrot show and a bingo night. most off thestaff are very unpleasent if not rude there were only a few exceptions. ther are to few sunbeds round the pool and only four parasols. We had a wheelchair with us for my mother which we could not fit in the lift(this is only big eoungh for two people and one suitcase) unless we removed my mother from it and folded it which we had to do several times a day(we were offered ground floor accomodation because of the wheelchair but this floor had several steps at each end pretty poitless moving.the first choice reps (wesly and laura) were hopeless there wereso many people complaining the didnt know what to do. our bedroom had a tree growing through the railings, one of our other rooms looked into a erotic bar and there were rubbish bags piled high beside it not nice for the children there were several boken parts in the pool there were broken concrete slabs around the pool.there is no such thing as a late check outroom at this hotel even though they say there is.the rooms were clean but the carpets were filthy the sofa beds were falling to bits my advice to anyone going to bulgaria is to steer well clear of this hotel

arrived early morning reception staff very friendly and checked in really quickly.
our room was one of the biggest we have stayed in recently. two single beds in main room and a double bed in the other room.
air conditing was ok although a little noisey.
cleaners very good, changed towels at least every other day and made beds every day and folded up your nightie's.
vie from balcony not brill but only went out to dry towels etc.
hotel was quite near to the main strip but far enough away not to be disturbed by the noise.
pool water was freezing but nice when you wanted to cool down after sunbathing, not enough sunbeds as is usually the case.
food was ok although got a bit repetative towards the end of the fortnight.
my only fault with the hotel was the lack of evening entertainment, just a karaoke bar

Well before i went and i read alot of the review on this site and they are quite accurate although i cant speak for the dinner at the Yavor Palace I will definatly review the rest for you.

The hotel was lovely, better than i had expected very clean and the rooms were lovely and spacious. They had the avaliability to spilt into 2 beds or keep them as a double. This is really good for all the groups going out of friends going out there!

The pool was lovely the first half of the holiday sunbeds were always in use so i recommend that u get there early to get one and sleep in the sun! The second half of the second week was when the families started to come on holiday. This made the pool crowded and with all the children playing and splashing there was never a moment peace!!

Breakfast was the same everyday and a little boring,

Over all the hotel isnt noisey. I had a good nights sleep every night. The room was always tidy and we had fresh towels. Although there are no safes in the room you can leave you passports etc at reception or purchase a saftey deposit box both are really safe!
The surrounding area is great and it is no trouble to get anywhere quickly. Personally i would go back again as it was a blast! Although next time i would make sure that i go when the children are at school.

We had read some pretty bad reviews about this hotel on other sites before we travelled so were quite apprehensive about what it would be like.
To be honest, I can't understand where some people found so many problems.
The hotel was very clean, the maids came round at least once a day and the towels were changed every morning.
Our room was a decent size and, although the view wasn't great (our room backed onto the car park and buildings next door) you don't spend a lot of time in the room for it to matter very much. The shower was fantastic, very powerful and really woke you up in the mornings!
We stayed on a B&B basis so I can't comment on the evening meals, but breakfast always had various choices (toast, cereal, cooked breakfasts, breads etc. It's so cheap to eat out in Bulgaria though so I wouldn't book more than B&B. Try Djanny's, great food and very cheap!
The location of the hotel is fantastic as its very central and close to everything you need.
The staff aren't all cheery but they were helpful enough if we needed anything.
The one negative thing I would say about this hotel is the lack of entertainment at night. There is a karaoke on every night but nobody really seems to use it. Maybe if the entertainment was more varied or better promoted people would be more willing.
I would definately visit this hotel again...if you've read bad reviews all I would say is don't worry!

We had booked Sunny Beach AOA and were pleasanly surprised to be allocated such spacious and clean rooms. Maids were lovely and kept rooms very clean. In fact the maids were about the only Bulgarian people who spoke pleasantly to us during the period of the week. Location of the hotel was excellent and apart from inconsiderate guests, arriving back late at night, we found our rooms were quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but it was sufficient and we were able to have toast and cereal. Waitresses were sullen but no more than in any of the other restaurants within Sunny Beach. If I were forced to return to Bulgaria, I would stay at this hotel.

The hotel overall was enjoyable to stay at. The first choice reps were excellent (seamus and cat). The food was disappointing because of the lack of flavour in the catering itself.
The hotel rooms were kept very clean by excellent maids who were friendly.
The only downside of the hotel was that on the departure night, whilst our bags and luggage were stored in the luggage room, several passengers bags were rifled and mobile phones, i pods and psp's were stolen from the bags themselves, without the residents of the hotel realising, until the minute that they had to leave to go home, this only became evident when we were boarding the coach which left my daughter upset and angry because of the theft of her mobile and i pod, which left the whole family feeling cheated and disappointed because of the lack of security.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES IN THE LUGGAGE ROOM AS THEY MAY NOT BE THERE WHEN YOU COLLECT THEM.

Hotel situated in nice central area, and reasonable quiet at night, except for noisy guests, mainly groups of teenagers and early twenties, coming in at all hours singing and shouting, although due to a 24 hour Lobby bar some of the more senior guests can be noisy at 5 in the morning as well.

Walls of rooms are paper thin and you can hear everything, and I mean everything from your neighbours, as though they were in your own room.

Rooms are kept nice and clean by the friendly maids, but food is terrible, I tried it once and did'nt go back.
Entertainment is a Karaoke Bar, I never once saw anyone actually using it.

Hotel staff, especially Sissy in the Lobby bar are among the nicest people I have met, Sissy was in tears when we all left and came to work early to wave our bus off.

If something was done about the noisy guests in this hotel I would go back year after year. The food would'nt worry me.

The hotel was spotless, and the maid always cleaned our room daily with clean towels as required.

Breakfast was ok, but going half board was a mistake. We quickly realised that the food wouldn't suit the whole family. as a result, we ate out most nights and received real value for money.

The hotel is ideally located right in the centre of the resort. The local car-trains ran to either side of the resort, which was great for exploring, but it wasn't far to walk either (stroll). The beach is close by with bars and restaurants every few yards. This area is is a bit pricier, but just by walking over the main road that runs through sunny beach you could find some little gems and prices were much cheaper.

Staff made every effort to be helpful. Reception staff and maids were very nice to us.

Listened to the hotel entertainment once, never again - boring, boring!. We explored every night finding new places to eat, drink and be entertained. Good choice!

I would visit this hotel again, but definitely on B&B basis only.

The location of the hotel is good and the rooms were clean enough although they were not cleaned everyday like the brouchure states, towels were not changed daily either. We had no lights in the reception and dining room toilets i reported this to the owner of the hotel and was told to go use toilets in next doors hotel, i then reported it to the reps and it took a week and half for them to put a bulb in.

The food is disgusting its cold and theres not much choice, food trays were not filled up and if you asked for something to be filled you got shouted at in bulgarian every meal time you had to ask for cutlery as there were never any out we even had to keep asking for plates and dishes, we asked for a plate one evening and got told to eat off a side plate. Fruit and sweets were not filled up either once they had gone tha was it. The dining room serves food till 9.30pm but theres nothing left at 8.15pm

There was a grill missing from the pool floor which left a big hole with screws sticking up we reported this and nothing was done about it a young boy gashed his foot on the screws and it still wasn't fixed.

Some of the hotel staff were ok but others wern't.

Entertainment was very poor karaoke was rubbish and quiz night was rubbish too.

This is one hotel i'd never stay in again.

Just returned from this hotel but wouldn't use it again which is a shame as it has really gone down hill from last year. The cleaners keep the entrance to the hotel spotless but if you are on the top floor like i was the cleaner doesn't use the hoover in the rooms until you have checked out at the end of your stay she just uses a brush to sweep out the rooms and a dirty mop to wash the bathroom floor. The staff in the restaurnt never seem to smile and growl at you if you complain about anything. I asked for the music th be turned down at breakfast and as a result i was spoke about to the other staff and my table would not be cleared until i left the restaurant. The food was edible, but only just and the selection was poor. The reps were only interested in helping you if you either went on their excursions or were buying them drinks at the bar in the evening.

It is true that this hotel is kept really clean. The maids do work hard, all the time.

The pool is smaller than it looks on the brochure, yet it was big enough for the amount of people staying at the hotel. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed in the hotel. The rooms are a decent size and the towels changed everyday.

We went to breakfast once, the look of it put us off straight away... please go room only and eat out, its definitely cheap enough!

I would return to Bulgaria the resort is fantastic, and the hotel is situated perfectly just behind the main strip. I don't think I would return to this hotel because of the food and I like to try different hotels.

In September I am thinking of trying Victoria palace.

What can I say apart from this is the best holiday I have ever been on. We arrived early in the morning and immediately the porter came and took our cases in the room for us.

We had a pool view room and it was beutiful. The first choice holiday reps were the best you could of got they were always happy to help and always there when you needed them.

The hotel cleanliness was fantastic the cleaners were good and always finished the room to a high standard and are change your towels every day.

The food was great but coming into the last few days of the two weeks we decied to eat out. You could not get more central to the bars and shops and yet at night you cannot hear any music.

There was absoloutley no entertainment in the hotel but at your doorstep you everthing to do. e.c. Shooting, archarey, bingo, casino, dancing, pubs, erotic bars.

This was clearly one of the best hotels in the resort and will be going back.

I was impressed with the location of this hotel, near everything. It was nice and clean and the rooms where nice but mine was spoilt by the veiw. You are better with a pool veiw I could see a plan wall but my daughter had a really nice veiw of the pool. At least I got moved from the veiw of the exotic bar.

The food was nice at first but after the first week it became very repedative, saying that the couple of things I really liked where never repeated.

There are reps available almost all the time as they are resident in the hotel but they do not arrange any entertainment because its not brochered. The rep who escorted the coach on the way home was really funny and entertaining.

The staff tried to help as much as they could and i would definately recommend this hotel.

It was very clean and you were made to feel at home, the food was fine but a little boring.

We have a small child and even she was always ocupied with something to do, the hotels situated very close to the restaurants and bars, shops and nightlife, but saying that once you were back in your room you could'nt hear any of the nightlife, or very little anyway.

The whole holiday was brilliant and we have booked to go back next year, can't wait.

After returning from this dreadful hotel I thought I'd warn people going of the dangers in this hotel. First night we had ants in our bed the receptionist moved us asap and apologised yes some things you can't predict 10/10 for reception.

The reps well the worst pair we have ever met on our holidays. You have one girl who's more bothered about trying to get you to tick good on the questionnaires on the plane home but without doing any thing for you. The other a huge sweaty smelly Scottish guy who stinks to high heavens of b.o and too pushy forcing trips down your neck.
On our 3rd am we went to reception to only see the big rep asleep on the couch obviously drunk as he was wearing what looked like smelly worn items of clothing with his belly hanging out. I did not appreciate my young daughter who is 7 seeing this kind of behaviour at all.

The room was clean but facing a what can be called as a hooker bar which was not very nice at all

Food was awful and would not feed it to my dog.

However the hotel staff were extremely helpful and nice and welcoming.

As for the FIRST CHOICE REPS well all I can say is I won't be travelling with First Choice no more if this is what their staff are like.

Hotel is kept clean day and night. The maids do work really hard.

Food in the hotel is not very good. Breakfast had a good choice but Dinner was not very good at all. The bar seems to be open most of the day and night and it was 8 leva for a pint and a vodka and half litre bottle of coke.

Location was very good. Just round the corner from the main shopping and bar areas. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. There are a couple of bars that have loud music at night but when you closed the balcony door you didn't hear much noise from the bars.

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Bar guy was always really cheerful.

Hotel did not have entertainment. Pool was lovely and they didn't charge for sunbeds like a lot of Hotels do in Sunny Beach.

We did enjoy our stay at Yavor Palace.

This hotel was a let down, the food was disgusting. Partly cooked if not raw food would be served throughout the day. It is cheap enough to eat out so I advise you do.

The hotel cleaners were amazing but very overworked and very grumpy (God Bless them)The staff, including the first choice reps were after one thing..... Your money and that it.

I would advise you that if your going on a Cheap package holiday to this hotle and think tou have a great deal then you will get what you pay for.T

he biggest plus side was the location for the beach, the beach at is amazing.

There was no entertainment except from when people rolled in off the street rolling drunk (Fellow guest that is).

I would never visit this hotel again... I am not fussy but this was not pleasent.

We booked in May for a half board week in Bulgaria in a new 3 star hotel with a guaranteed pool view, when we arrived we where placed on the 4th floor outside our room was mould and our room faced onto the back of a nightclub called XL with a beautiful view of the bins... no pool view in sight.

Hotel looked far from new and by the look of the carpeted floors in the bedroom (yes I did say carpeted) which originally started off cream but had nice black stains on them, apart from that the room was adaquet and the power shower was actually very good.

Cleaners worked from morning till night and were always at work, you could not fault them in one week they came and tidied the room 5 times.

The food....erm what can I say.... eat out a lot it's better if you do... nuff said. Unless your German or Scandinavian you will be hard pushed to find something you like.

Pool turned green 4 out of 7 days which didn't fill you with good feeling about using it.

Entertainment was non existent.

We would not come back to Bulgaria and if we did certainly not the Yavor Palace, If you have booked make of it as you will.

I was only B&B as I know all the hotel food in Bulgaria is terrible. Breakfast wasn't great but I am fussy. I would prob only eat toast, but I am fussy. There was boiled eggs, hot dog sausages, meat, cereal, toast, yoghurts, etc.

Cleanliness was a good standard, the poor staff seemed to always be working, just about 24/7. It was like I seen that person this morning at 9am and then you still see them at midnight!

Maids were in everyday. Sheets and towels changed at least 6 times in 2 weeks. Always gave you plenty of toilet roll and emptied the bins, moped floor, etc.

The location was superb. Just round the corner from the main strip and beach. No noise at all.

Please ask for a pool view as we looked on to a grotty back street with apartments looking right in on us.

As for entertainment I do not think there was any? During the day I never seen anyone around the pool and at night we went out. 1 night we thought we will go back to the hotel and see what's going on. NOTHING! People were sat around the bar waiting to go home looking depressed.

The pool is nice but under 5ft deep. Get up before 9am if you want a sunbed. Or go next door to the Kuban if you can't get one, it is only about £2 each.

Overall, it is just like any other 3 star hotel. I would have no hesitation in going back or recommending it to family.

The hotel was fine and the staff were in the whole friendly.

The pool was very nice although the filters broken down in the second week but was fine for us going home.

Food was alright we only had breakfast and had dinner out at The Brothers which was very nice.

Weather was great after the first day when we had a thunder storm. The hotel is back from the beach and next to the kuban. The kuban charges 15lev to go in for a day to use the flumse.

Cleaners were very good.

The lobby bar was the place to go if you wanted a drink, do not go to the pool bar as the staff charge over the odds. And the other bar is a joke. Lifts, there are two but only one worked the other being broken all of the two weeks.

Hotel located well near main road and bus station is in the centre of the resort. Food at first seemed ok until one of children had stomach problems, followed by my wife and myself. The uncovered food in the 'canteen' cannot help.

In our room (bit small - no draw space at all) the toliet leaked (Room 111) - it took several complaints over the first week before the hotel, via first choice reps, stated it could not be fixed we moved to only available room - 101 opposite the Erotic Bar!

For good measure when we moved rooms we were accused of taking an hand towel and demanded that they search our suitcases, we refused so they demanded payment we refused and that was that.

Sunbeds were reserved the night before - despite signs stating towels would be removed they never were. Overall a despressing hotel with depressing staff - one to avoid - if you have booked make the most of it and please eat out - meal for four with drinks was less than £10 always at Djanny's.

Oh - come prepared to deal with bugs!!!

The hotel was on the whole very good.

The lift however was extremely small could not get the family and the luggage in one trip. There was another lift but that was out of order!

The air conditioning wasn’t very good. (Couldn’t really tell that you had it).

The water was very very hot! Someone complained while we were there that their son was scalded. The food was alright! Just what you would expect.

Managed to get a sun bed!!!! The pool was lovely, not too cold and not deep so you could play ball games!

It was a very clean hotel, good central position. Friendly staff. I would stay there again but after six years Sunny Beach has just become another Blackpool/Salou it has lost it's charm to the developers!!!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Yavor palace and have to say it is the best hotel I have stayed in sunny beach a good central location.

The staff were eager to please the first choice reps were always happy to help and the food was hot and a wide and varied choice was available the only downside was the mosquitoes which ate my whole party alive. we usually visit sunny beach in September and have never been bothered with mosquitoes before so be aware if you are going when we did as I was told by the rep that it is there harvesting time so take mosquito plugs for your room. I will be next year!

I can’t really comment on the entertainment as we were out every night but I am led to believe that there is a nightly karaoke

Be aware of the late checkout offered as it costs 28-30 British pounds for an extra 6 hours as you have to be out your room for 12 noon even if you are not leaving the resort until 22.30 like us. Some people are even later but you are offered the use of a shower room for 30 minutes for your party so you can freshen up before going to the airport.

Overall we all had a great time and have re-booked to go to the Yavor palace for August 2007.

We arrived in the early hours of Saturday morning & were greeted with a smile & the porter took our bags before we had a chance to take them ourselves.

First impressions, the hotel was very clean & the staffs were well presented. The porter took all our 7 cases in the lift with him but no room for us so we walked up the stairs & he met us at the landing door. We weren't sure if we had interconnecting rooms nut had been guaranteed rooms next to each other. When we got to the rooms we found that they were inter-connecting so that was good. Our balcony's looked out the back of the hotel over an amusement arcade which the 1st night wasn't good cause all we could hear was someone bashing the fruit machines but once the door was shut you didn't hear it. The only other down side was the dustmen every morning at 6.00am.

Both our boy's have nut allergies & 1 has a egg allergy it was the 1st time we have taken the abroad & were a bit worried but there was no problem at all the food was all very good & plenty of it we missed breakfast the 1st morn as it finished at 10 but we soon found somewhere to eat (Macdonalds don’t do breakfast) The only gripe about meal time was evening meal there was no juice or water like at breakfast so you have to buy a drink. We had no complaints from the kids either about the food they were more than happy.

The pool's were cleaned every morning & the main 1 is about 5ft deep. There are limited sun bed's & you have to get down early in the morning's to put your towel down some people though tend to do this then go off for the day. The Kuban hotel next door does allow non resident people to use's their water park for about 15 lev a day. They have a pancake stall & jacket spud's which we used on the day's we spent by the pool very cheap 10 lev for 2 spud's with cheese & ham about £4.00.

We went out every night so can't comment on the entertainment.
We were very pleased with the hotel & the service. The staff are all great we will be going back.

We booked this holiday on an internet search engine with First Choice. We originally wanted to go s/c as we heard the food was cheap enough in resort to eat out, but this was h/b and it was cheaper to book this than s/c no u/o supplements to pay.

We got there to find one room for the four of us which wasn't barely big enough and there were no drawer space to store underwear etc and only 6 coat hangers in the wardrobe. The 2 13 year olds had to sleep on chair bed type things one of which broke during the first week.
The bathroom was nicely decorated but quite smelly and the shower wasn’t working properly. The shower head was broke so we got it changer after 2 days then it leaked from the top of the hose more water coming from there and not from the head. We reported it and nothing got done so we ended up taping the leak up which made it slightly better. Hot water was available most of the time but if you went up for a shower after about 5.30pm it was cold due to high demand probably.

The cleaners were very good although there was carpet on the floor and it never got hovered round the edges properly. Bedding got changed twice and the towels were supposed to be changed twice a week but I left them on a pile on the floor everyday and we got clean ones everyday.

The location of the hotel was very good quite central and near the noisy bars etc but once you shut the balcony door you couldn’t't hear the noise so sleep wasn't disturbed.

The pool area wasn't very big and if you wanted a sunbed you had to get up very early to put towels on them even though there was a notice saying you couldn’t't reserve them till 9am people were down from about 6.30 doing this. The planted area round the pool was quite weedy also and water from the pool went onto this making green sludgy type stuff. The hotel next door had a mini water park which charged non guests to get in which was good.

The food at the hotel was hit and miss something for everyone although it would have been nice to see proper bacon and sausage but you couldn’t't get it in resort anyway.

There was no entertainment as such at this hotel except a karaoke so we went out every night.

The mosquitoes made a meal of us all and occasionally what looked like rain beetles or cockroach type things flew out of the air conditioning.

The hotel room was very clean our maid changed the towels every other day and the sheets twice a week but if you needed clean things they were very good. The pool and area

I found dirty my standard being high due to working with swimming pools. They need more sunbeds but to get rid of the weeded gardens around the pool and to patio this area because it gets very muddy.

Our air conditioning was not good because they were not individual units it was centrally operated system.Having to keep our bedroom door open the front of the hotel was noisy.

The odour in the bathroom was very smelly.

Nevi the girl who checks your ticket for breakfast and dinner was absolutly fantastic very helpful she should be in reception. She gave more information out about the local thing happening then the reps.Hotel chared £26 to keep room for 6 hours expensive.

No entertainment.

We have just returned from two weeks at the Yavor Palace Hotel in Sunny Beach, as previous reviews state the hotel restaurant serves canteen food and it is barely edible so we ate out most nights. You must have a massage on the beach from Peter and Tanya - they are brilliant and cheap!! Also, a shot on the bungee jump is a must!!

The resort of Sunny Beach is fast growing and there is lots going on, we saw a couple of spectacular thunder and lightning storms though.

The mosquitoes are really viscious - I have loads of bites and the cockroaches aren't shy either.

Our holiday was ruined on the last day as every item of jewellery went missing from our bedroom, there was no forced entry, My boyfriends case was forced open and his mobile phone and cash were stolen. The hotel manageress was not helpful at all and the police were investigating the incident. The First Choice reps were not interested either which is really disappointing, they are supposed to help you out when you are in a foreign country - I called the "24 hour emergency helpline" and got an answering machine, there was no reply at the office either as they had a night out!!

I had to leave Bulgaria with the crime unsolved and less hundreds of pounds worth of stuff. The crime rate in Sunny Beach is VERY high, people were getting bags, phones, etc stolen from the beach and while out and about, but you would expect a locked hotel bedroom to be safe - PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

No problems with hotel room, very clean and spacious for family of four.

Food of low standard no choice and very unhygienic, flies everywhere not air conditioned and tables dirty.

Food was so bad we had to eat out at local restaurants, no food for children at this hotel. Childrens playground non existent and entertainment was bad...only kareoke that nobody used!

Next door was an erotic club not part of entertainment specified in the brochure!!

If you want to visit a water park no need to travel far just jump the hotel fence!

Hotel reps very scruffy and unhelpful....you have been warned!

The Hotel is very clean. Rooms are cleaned every day and towels and sheets changed 3 times per week. The rooms are very nice and big enough.

The food wasn't very good, not much to choose from and not alot for my 13 year old son, eg. no burgers, pizzas, spaghetti bolognese, lasagne. There seemed to be more casserole type meals, not my choice of food. Breakfast was not very good either, if you went after 9.30 there would be no cooked ham (supposed to be bacon, no proper english sausages just frankfurters or smelly garlic things. The queues for food were very long, both breakfast and evening meal.

The pool area was very nice and there was always enough sunbeds. the bar area was really nice and beer was 2.50 lev, small pop 1.50 lev. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend just coming to this hotel B&B as food is so cheap anyway.

There is no entertainment other than a Kareoke about 10pm at night which is rubbish.

We didn't like the food at all and ate out I would never go half board again as it was a waste of money.

The location is good. Don't worry about the exotic bar its only the back doors and you dont see anything.

The hotel could earn so much more money if they had the right entertainment to keep people drinking instead of going outside. A boy doing karaoke is very poor.

Arrived early hours Saturday morning to find that we were opposite the Erotic bar. Kids were to sleep in room with us which we didn't realise and that there was no bedding for my children so we were told we would have new room Monday morning which they did as promised and we then had separate room for kiddies and better view other than that I can't fault them they were very clean rooms lovely bathrooms and the maids even played ball with the kids in the halls lol.

The barmaid Cissy was fantastic very friendly and great with the kids.

The food I thought was lovely as there was an English chef there at the time showing them the ropes one night there was a beef curry and it was superb.

Don't think much to the entertainment at all karaoke night every night but as the hotel is so close to everything we popped out.

Pool was great loads of sun beds and have to say there were such a lovely group of Scottish people had such a laugh around the pool in the days with them all.

Stayed in Yavor Palace between June 19th and July 3rd. Could not fault the hotel - they need more sunbeds or to inforce the no people no towles rule! Anyone who was in Bulgaria during the above dates can recall the thunderstorm we had and as with most other accommodations they hotel were unable to cope with same. The roof leaked - fortuantely not in our room but in a number of rooms and public areas.

Weather aside the hotel is in a very central location. Everything is on your doorstep. The staff are friendly. It has a signficant race mix which is good.

Just come back from a two week stay at the Yavor Palace Hotel in Sunny Beach.

Had a great time, if you go please say hello to Peter at the pool bar from us, he’s a sweetie, although he speaks good English he needs to practise, so it would be great if you could spend a bit of your time talking to him. Try and take small denominations in Levs as the staff are not given floats so don’t have change.

We had no problems with the food, they have had an English consultant chef out there to get tings right, we could always find something that took our fancy.

The staff are very good, rooms clean, and the drinks at the hotel are cheep as long as you stick to the Bulgarian drinks, try the Bulgarian brandy better than any of the French cognacs.

Not a lot of evening entertainment in the hotel but go just round the corner and you can sit in a bar with cheep drinks and watch the world walk by.

This was our second visit to this hotel. We went last year not long after it opened.

If anything the hotel has improved since last year. The cleaners never stopped cleaning our towels and bed linen was changed every other day even though the brochure said they would only be changed weekly.

We only stayed bed and breakfast breakfast is pretty average cereal bread toast pastries and a small variety of fruit also the usual cooked breakfast and continental meats. The location is fantastic bang in the middle of everything but not noisy.

The hotel staff are all really friendly and helpful we had requested a room with a pool veiw but were actually given a ground floor room overlooking the exotic bar however we were moved to another room the same day unfortunately there were no pool veiws available so we wre given a room at the front of the hotel which was fine.

As previous posters have said all staff are great but Cissy is outstanding makes everyone feel welcome and loves to see return visitors. They seem to be trying to improve the entertainment with bingo a couple of times a week plus the kareoke which was not very popular when we were there.

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just returned from 2 weeks here, on arrival in the early hours of the morning the reception staff were friendly and the bar staff(CISSY) EVEN more friendly.

The rooms were cold and damp and everything smelt of varnish, we were the first set of guest to come to this hotel this season, what a group we were,we recieved extra blankets and covers but had a problem with the heating but once we complained it was sorted the next day.

The hotel I thought was very nice and was in an excellent central location. The food in the restuarant was okay for breakfast there was always something you could eat but my advise would be to only go b and b wherever you go in Bulgaria as the food is so cheap that you can eat out everynight without paying a fortune, if you have never been before trust me on this.

We have been to Sunny Beach before and this is the best hotel yet for location and staff friendliness, apparently the staff that are here this season are all new apart from CISSY, so looking back to last years reports of sullen staff we were lucky. The cleaners on floor two were brilliant and always had a smile and a good morning for you.

The pool area when we were there was fine for comfort but could see over crowding in the height of the season, the pool and surrounding area was kept very clean and tidy, make sure to get a mattress for the sun bed as they are very uncomfortable, the thicker mattressess can be bought for approx 17 lev form shops around the centre.

The lift is very small and not much use for arrivals and getting you up the stairs with your luggage.

On arrival we were every impressed with the hotel and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Would not recommend using the lift in the hotel as my partner and I were trapped in the lift for approx 10 minutes (felt like a life time...very frightening). If you get stuck in the lift you might want to try screaming at the top of your voice as the alarm does not work.

I have been to many all inclusive hotels and also stayed Half Board. I have to say that this hotel is the worst food I have ever tasted. Cold, tastless and not a lot of choice.

Can not really comment on the hotel staff except for the fact that they did not seem at all bothered when we were trapped in the lift. When we finally emerged they did not even ask if we were ok.

Location of hotel very good and central.

Food in resort cheap and good, location of hotel was good close to beach. The hotel entertainment was only a karaoke run by a young lad and didn't start till 10 o'clock I would go back to Bulgaria but only for one week and in July or August in about 10 years time.

There is no point in going half board as the food is awful it is much better to buy your food in the resort as there are loads of good restaurants very cheap and friendly.

The hotel is very clean as it has only been open a few months. However we did have regular clean sheets and towels.

The location of the hotel is quite good and is only a short walk from everything including the beach.

Most of the staff are very friendly especially Sissy in the bar who always has a smile and nothing is too much trouble for her, it's a pity that the same can't be said about the catering manager who was always miserable and rude if he presented the food better and hot instead of being cold he would not get so many complaints.

The entertainment is very poor only karaoke and that is done by a young lad who doesn't start it till 10 o'clock.

Bulgaria was ok but we struggled to find anything to do as you can only look at snide football and sports clothing so many times and a week would have been plenty. Also going at the end of the season was a mistake I would only go back in August then you could at least sit on the beach September and October is windy and cold also you seem to get a fair bit of rain.

The food was below average. Very poor choice for children, and a lot of the same things on offer each day, would look what was on offer then go out for food. There is no entertainment in the hotel through the day and it does'nt start till 10pm on the evening then their was only kareoke on offer.

When you go out to the beach front watch out for the 'young children' begging in the street they will pester you all the time.

The holiday brochure 'first choice summer sun 2005' has an artist impression of the hotel and swiming pool, please do not belive what you see as the pool is nothing like the picture and the hotel does not in my opinion seem to be 'BRAND NEW' as is stated in the catalogue, it seems like a referbished hotel new to first choice.

The play ground for the children was a sand pit in a corner and it wasnt clean was mainly used by people for throwing the cigarets into. The gym had one exercise bike and one tread mill in it. We never found the 'Sauna'.
Their is no life guard around the pool or at the aqua park next door.

Hotel location is brilliant with the beach just a 10 min stroll away.

Hotel cleanliness is superb even though our cleaner kept arriving early + my husband told her to call back much later cos we were sleeping.(she would return about 3-4pm + want kisses from the kids).

No problem there but she had a big silver tooth at the front + the kids aged 8+9 yrs were convinced she was from the mafia. However she cleared our mess daily + even folded our clothes neatly.(Brill).

We stayed half board but found that they did'nt really cater 4 kids. We would end up taking our boys aged 8+9 yrs 2 Mcdonalds 4 food.

Entertainment is not the best at hotel as its karaoke every night. Staff friendly, pool adequate, air con free, drinks cheap, excellent location, very clean but lacking in evening entertainment + kids things to do.

As for the lifts we didn't have any problems with all 3 working although it looked like vandals had been at work in the main one.

Met a lot of nice people there and got to know them really well in the early hours of the morning, due to turning night into day because of the rain.

Lots of cheap food and drink in the resort which was just as well as food in the hotel was not the best. Nessebar is worth a visit as is Khan's tent, which has an excellent floor show. Very good location, very central, would go back to this hotel again as bed and breakfast only.

For a new hotel the lifts are small and regularly did not work. Most lifts could take only 3 people. Some staircases had no hand rails on and could pose a problem for older or disabled people.

Due to the hotel being built this year it was very clean and did appear new, we were impressed with it. However we felt for a three star hotel the food could of been at a slightly better standard, at times there was too much meat and not enough to acccompany it then other days too much choice! also the food could have been hotter.

Staff spoke limited english, could be frustrating and we felt some of the staff didnt seem that happy in their jobs!
rooms clean, too small for a room for three people and not enough storage space.rooms carpeted which was a surprise!

Decor nice, bathroom nice but again, small. no bath, and nowhere to put your toiletries in the shower, had to pit it on the floor which was silly!occasionally the floor would flood out onto the carpet outside the bathroom door.

Limited entertainment, kareoke run by a young boy who wasnt great at getting the party started!!

Maids came in every day, early, didnt seem to do that much for the rooms however and seemed to be hanging around the corridor the whole day!

Good location, wouldnt choose this hotel again, but it was clean and pretty.

The hotel was clean enough & the hotel staff were friendly my daughter was always talking to them & the maids would give her sweets.

The carpet outside the bathroom kept getting wet due to the drain + age from the shower not being so good & the room door didn't close properly unless locked. Room 118 just incase you want 2 know.

Food was terrible tried it everynight then went out for food. There was not much choice for kids or veggies but the ice cream is fab!!!

Hotel was close enough to all the pubs/nightclubs the beach & the shops but the beggars & prostitutes could be scary!!!

We stayed at the Yavor in August it had only been open for a few weeks.

The entertainment consisted of poorly used kareoke. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. We only had breakfast which was great, as the food in the resort was cheap and of excellent quality.

The pool is a good size but was very busy at times.

Visited the Yavor Palace hotel in August and would definitely would go back again.

The location was excellent, staff friendly and breakfast had wide variety. The hotel rooms were reasonably sized and cleaned daily by maids.

Plently of clubs, pubs and restaurants in the resorts at great prices.

I am going back next year

Would recommend.

The hotel itself is very clean and staff in the lounge bar are very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately on day 3 i came down with stomach cramps, never before have i been ill abroad so this was a first and boy was i ill, me and at least one person from every family staying in the hotel. I'm still not sure what caused it.

Anyway besides that i think 1 week would have been enough to see everything possible in Sunny beach area. However it is very cheap and i did enjoy the food in the surrounding areas.

Nessebar is worth a visit, but beware of the gypsies selling 'real' gold chains - your neck will be green!!!

If you have booked, make of it what you will and good luck.

All the reviews we read(well 3 of them that was)raved about this hotel prior to us coming but let not beat about the bush.

The hotel is in sunny beach, full of grey tower blocks, beggars and pr people trying to get you into their bars. You will not be left alone for 60seconds.

The hotel is extremely basic, rooms are like two star, with magnolia walls. Bathrooms although are freshly tiled and rooms come with a free fridge. The pool area is a decent size for this size of hotel.

We cannot complain as we only paid 780gbp for two weeks half board - cheap as chips. If you have paid anything more than 900gbp for two weeks, I'm sorry to say you have been ripped off - sorry.

If you are just looking for sun, sea and sand in a cheesy resort full of cheap drink, this is for you. There is no, I repeat no class to this development at all, and unless you drink you're bladder to death, I don't know why you should come here.

The beach, well mmm good luck on getting a spot to sit for the day. Busy in the extreme. If you haven't got a sunbed by 10am, forget it.

Also jellyfish in the water which is a shame. The big day out is either pictureque Bulgaria or Nessebar. If you have a good book, just read that instead, pleaseeeeeee I beg you, its not worth booking anything except for the boat trip.

The hotel is full of lager louts and people drinking too much because its cheap, if this appeals great, if it don't well you wont be getting much sleep at night, the noise levels are seomthing else.

The food ain't appealing, but you won't go hungry if you ain't fussy. I bet every single one of you who come here will never return to this hotel and most wont return to sunny.
I bet you a million quid. If you still have time upgrade to a 4star, wont cost much more but its a millions time worth the extra few quid.

Take care and just use this as a learning experience.xx

We stayed half board but did not enjoy the food at all. Had to give up on evening meals as was spending evening on toilet. Not much choice for vegetarians.

The hotel was in a good location right in the centre but you had to pass many beggars to get onto the central promenade and it was quite dark.

Most of the hotel staff were lovely, but they will serve children alcohol.

Our room cleaner was not fantastic - never hoovered once or cleaned the windows and balcony - other cleaners did in other rooms. Changed towels 3 times and sheets twice. If you were in when she knocked she didn't call back later. The staircases were very dirty and t
