We've just returned from the Marina Pax.
First impressions were very good..and i must say that it was the same throughout our stay there.
It is in a lovely location, just 2 mins from the beach and quiet if you want but also lively if you want.
The place was very clean and the rooms were basic but cleaned and beds changed and clean towels everyday.
BBC1 and CH4 in the rooms also (a little hime comfort)
The food was lovely with a wide choice and a carvey most nights.
The staff were also nice and pleasant.
We didnt bother with the entertainment much but from what we saw it looked good (apart from 'Crazy Chris' and his annoying 'noises' that he dragged out).

We would definitley visit again.

The Pax is situated at the quiet end of Magalluf, but you can take a short cut to town if you head across the road and down the steps onto the beach - much quicker that way. You don't hear much noise from the surrounding area and you're about 10-15 mins walk away from the strip.

The hotel rooms were cleaned daily and cleaning staff were very friendly. The general hotel too was always clean and tidy.

The food was excellent. The full english breakfast was the best I've ever had - home or abroad, alongside all the other usual breakfast choices.

There was always ready-made sandwiches and baguettes on offer for lunch, as well as a hot buffet.

Dinner was excellent. Always a carvery choice (half chicken roasted, roast beef, pork and turkey) with Yorkshire Puddings. There was an Italian section to the buffet, plenty of vegetarian options, and also a kids choice buffet; salads, home-made soup, cold meats and cheeses and desserts.

The staff were very friendly, the receptionists were very helpful. The bar staff were great - very quick at serving and we never experienced any queues. Don't expect to practice much Spanish though, they were mainly Polish!

The Entertainers were fantastic. Sally and Chris, both from Leeds were excellent with the kids and adults alike. Will (who must be sick of the other reps telling you he's there on work experience for the summer!!) was great too. Fran and Paulo from Italy were the other two reps. I've never seen an entertainment team work so hard. They run plenty of activities during the day - usually starting at 11am with archery or shooting for adults, and a game for the kids. Then at 12.30 they have another game for kids, and "Marina Games" for adults. 3pm brings them round again with more games. They come round the pools asking everyone if they want to join in, but are never pushy.

Then, in the evening they have a mini disco at 8.30, followed by bingo, and then the show. We saw an excellent Queen tribute act whilst we were there. Fantastic. Other nights it's the entertainers putting on a show - the Disney one is great for kids.

The only negative I can make is that there are some groups of single-sex parties in the Pax. We were in the room next to four lads who were very noisy in returning from their night out at 6am and shouting and running along the corridor. They also had a bb gun which they were firing off their balcony. Prior to that we had a group of noisy girls on our floor who did the same. Having said that I didn't see many groups by the pool, so maybe we were just unlucky that both groups were on our floor! Or perhaps they put all groups on the 6th floor??!

On the whole, this made for one of the best holidays we've had, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone, nor in booking again for another year.

The Hotel was lovely & clean. There was a good selection of buffet style food, enough to suite everyone.

The location of the hotel was brilliant because it was out of all the noise but yet close enough if you wanted to walk down to the strip. The beach is just down some steps which is across the road and there is a ramp too incase you have a pram.

The staff where very friendly, especially to my little boy. The hotel receptionist where very friendly too, as we wanted to change rooms and this wasn’t a problem and was dealt with straight away.

The entertainment team where excellent!! You could not fault them at all. They worked hard all day long to keep the kids occupied & entertained. So thank you to Sally & Chris & the rest of the team. They put on some good shows too, even karaoke one night which was good.

I heard some people complaine about the noise but we didn't hear very much noise at all.

We will be going back to this hotel next year without a doubt.

We have stayed in both the Marina Barracuda and the Marina Pax, the Pax is definately the better of the two. The rooms were brilliant, basic but clean and spacious, overlooking the sea. The pool area was clean with plenty of beds. Food was great and allways plenty of choice. The bar was good and staff were very helpfull. For a group of women this is the ideal choice, I have no faults whatsoever with this hotel and good value for money too.

We arrived at the Marina Pax and were greeted by friendly reception staff. Our room was small but adequate and very clean with a great view of the beach and pool (we were on the top floor 7th). The room was cleaned every day, we left money, mobiles, camera and other valuables lying around and nothing was ever taken just moved to clean the room.

The food was varied and very good, my partner is very fussy about her food and she loved the choice we had, roast meats (excellent) yorkshire puds, roast spuds, fish most days, paella was great at night but poor at lunch. Fresh rolls every meal time (nice and warm). Did not care for the show cooking the "curry" was tasteless.

Breakfast was great English and local bacon, 4 kinds of sausage, 3 diff eggs mushrooms, black pudding, hash browns, fried potato, beans, tomato, fried bread, plus fruit, cereals and pastries. Sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers chips and toasties from 10 till 6.

Beer was moderate but spirits were very good, loads of choice and large measures, Herminio was great, dry sense of humour but very friendly when you took the time to talk to him. All of the bar staff were very good, hard working and a good laugh.

The hotel is about 5 to 10 Min's walk from town centre up a hill but plenty of cheap taxis just out of hotel.
Could not fault any of the hotel staff, they would do anything they could to make a great holiday for us.

The entertainment was good both days and nights, with plenty to do, Will and Sally worked very hard to entertain all age groups With a big Thank You to Will for being such a nice genuine friendly guy. An "entertainer" from the Barracuda, Chris, came to the Pax nearly every day of our second week, he did not seem to like children, he was good to their face and parents but said some nasty things about them when he thought he could not be heard by other guests.
We will definitely go back to the Marina Pax again especially if Will is there, but not if Chris is again trying to be an entertainer.

We arrived and were welecomed by freindly recetion staff.
Our room was large /on the third floor over looking one of the pools and a sea view

Could have done with a few more drawers to store clothes but wardrobe large

|The kids loved the football pitch and mini golf and table tennis - and the hotel entertainment staff had activities in the daytime.

2 pools one at side of hotel this goes in the shade early afternoon and another round the back of the hotel which is shared with the sister hotel, this one is great and you do not have to reserve a bed, we went around 10am and there were plenty of beds.

Lots of short stay stag and hen parties never really bothered us and quiet at night

Great kids buffet bar burgers, chicken nuggests fish fingers, sausage every day so at least there was something to choose from -good adult selection carvery every day plus other selected dishes

This is a good 3 star hotel. The food was good, breakfast in particular was excellent. The hotel was clean, however the stage area in the lounge could do with a 'freshen up' decoration wise. The rooms were pretty basic but adequate. We had a pool view which was nice.

The entertainment was hit or miss. We saw a couple of really good shows and a couple of bad ones. The animations team weren't the best I've seen. The bar service was very good.

There were 2 pool areas with sun loungers - watch out for the early reservers!!
Located at the quieter end of Magaluf but only a five minute walk from the start of the bars/restaurants we found the location excellent. However, if you are less mobile must warn there is a bit of a hill on the walk back to the hotel.

We really liked this hotel and would definately go back.

This was the 4th time we have stayed at this hotel. It was re-furbed last year and is superb.

The all inclusive deal is more than value for money. All meals are buffet style but there is also a chef available every night.

Breakfast everything you want from full English to fruit cereals meats cheeses etc. Lunch, salads, fish, meat, italian chips etc a wide and varied choice.

Dinner as lunch but also carved meats, yorky pudds, superb blueberry pancakes and cakes, puddings, ice-creams also a dedicated kids area chips, hot dogs, burgers, nuggets plus everything kids like. My children are picky eaters but there was more than enough to keep them happy.

The bar, easy to be served as much alcohol to float at battle ship.

Pool area, kids pool large pool plus pool around side of hotel lots of sunbeds no need to put towels out nice and clean good outside bar and snack bar.

Rooms, spotless slightly basic could do with more storage bathrooms spacious in family rooms.

Entertainment, on the hole very good but have it in mind to enjoy yourself your on holiday.

The kid are well looked after lots of things to do day and night, Sally and the entertainment staff work hard
and do a great job.

Hotel, in 2006 the hotel changed to half italian half English its still all inclusive a superb hotel warm friendly great staff well worth a visit it caters for couples and familys alike I can highly recommend it to all.

The Marina Pax is excellent just far enough from Magaluf not to get the noise at night but near enough to walk into the town to shop. Ths is a smaller hotel than most, so more of a family hotel.

There are two pools and always plenty of sun loungers.

The hotel was clean and staff very polite and helpful.

Food excellent if you put down anything you wanted on the menu on the suggestion form you got it the next night.

We would recomend this hotel to anyone and will go back again.

The hotel overall was clean and the rooms were cleaned daily, giving fresh towels.

The only bad thing was the entertainment and the lounge where it was,the furniture was a bit shabby. The daytime games were OK and most people joined in.

Now the food ........ excellent. For all-inclusive a great deal of thought had gone into the presentation of the food. Roast beef dinners, with yorkshire pudding - blueberry pancake and ice-cream. Yum yum.

This hotel is worth a visit for the food - expect to put on a few pounds.

It is situated at the top end of Magaluf and is in walking distance of two water parks and the pirates show. All worth a visit.

We went to the family pirates show and the boys loved it - there is an un-cut version late at night. We were on the 7th floor and had a cracking view overlooking the sea.

upon arriving at the hotel we was all very pleased. Rooms were very spacious and very clean. One of the rooms we booked was for a triple and it had 5 beds in would be great for families and two beds were in an ajoining door. We arrived around 10pm so the restaurant was closed, however a salad had been prepared for us, which was great.

The cleanliness of the hotel was good maids cleaned the rooms every day, clean towels (if left on floor in bathroom) The food was fantastic plenty of choice, roast dinners, pasta, salads, desserts, breakfast even had proper bacon.

The location was good 2 mins to beach and 5-10 mins walking to centre/strip. The entertainment was ok but cannot really comment because we was only there for 3 days and it being a party usually went out around 11 in the evening. Would definately go back to this hotel, infact thinking of booking again for a short break next May.

Food good lots of choice, roast dinners and snack bar really nice.

Entertainment OK.

Rooms quite spacious for all inclusive.

Pax better than Barracuda as there are 2 good size pools and crazy golf, playground, football courts for kids also lots of activities such as archery.

Location good near the beach and not too far from bar street.

Would definitely visit this hotel again.

Food was varied roast dinners every night, themed nights and childrens section.

The hotel was very clean. Rooms basic not a lot of storage. Some rooms on the upper floors had excellent views over the pool and sea.

The staff were always helpful.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Not too far to walk to the centre but far enough away from any noise (about 10 minutes walk).

Entertainment not fantastic but ok for all inclusive. I would recommend this hotel. Far better than it's sister hotel, the Barracuda.

Room was very clean but basic, it was of a good size for family of 4.

They could have gave you another set of drawers as the storage wasn`t great.

Food was fab, they had a great selection everyday for kids and adults. They had carvery most nights and the food was not repetitive.

Location of the hotel was good as you were only a 10 min walk into the main strip. Benny hills was good for the kids.

Hotel staff were friendly and would help you in the best way they could.

Entertainment was okay, good for kids as they catered well for them every night, as for the adults it was okay but could improve this . We met alot of nice people during our stay so all the adults sat and bleathered every night after the entertainment was finished.

I would recommend anyone to go and see the pirate show as that was excellent and good value for money. The western water park was also great value for money, dont buy your tickets from the hotel go into the resort as you get a better deal from the excursion shops.

I would definately go back to this hotel as we have been on a few all inclusive hotels and they are not a patch on this one. You dont have to queue at the bar as they have adequate staff on. Another good thing is that you dont have to put your towel on the beds first thing in the morning as there are plenty of beds. There are 4 pools. 2 big pools and 2 small pools.

Really was an excellent standard for a 3*. Room as expected but also had TV, aircon + hairdryer in bathroom.

We had 3 rooms altogether and the girls rooms were huge - all had lovely views of the beach , sea and hotel grounds -the photos on the web don't do the grounds justice.

Pools - 2 huge pools + 2 kids pools, very clean and lifeguards at both all day long ! No problem at all ever with sunbeds.

Food - great choice - varied fresh and high standard.
Bar - fine local brands as expected.

Staff - take the time to get to know them and they were brilliant

Location - 10 mins walk or 15 mins stroll into the centre of Magaluf - in the right place away from all the noisy nightlife . The girls ( 16 & 17 + 25) loved it as they could walk everywhere at night. I liked it too. It's also only 2 mins from the beach.

Entertainment - when external was great e.g. the Supremes , magic show were fantatsic but the netrnal team were a bit sad but theytried hard. During the day the team got everyone involved and were particularly good with the little ones and the kids club was very popular.

All in all excellent value for money and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
