my sister in law booked for us all with her rci points. stayed in room 5001, fantastic view but not for people with walking disabilities as quite steep and lot of stairs to lifts.apartments have 2 bedrooms with really comfy beds and plenty of storage space, 2 toilets one with full bath, one with small kiddies bath and both had showers, living room with full kitchen and sofa bed that adequately slept a 16yr old and 4yr old.large balcony with table, chairs and sunbeds.all very clean and regular visits from maid to clean and change towels.2 lovely pools to choose from, one with kiddies pool. bar food really tasty and staff friendly, what entertainment we seen was okay.reception staff very helpful in giving information. location for all eateries, shops and entertainment is excellent, visited sian park which only opened 10 days before we went, it has something for all ages, it was a fabulous day, well worth a visit.will be visiting again next year.

Pool view studio, very clean. Unfortunately I won't be returning mainly due to the resident kids, who, in my opinion seem to do whatever they like, play football at the pool, (not one of the light balls) no consideration as to who gets hit with the ball, kicking football against balcony walls. I've also watched them eat several meals in the passageways between apartments and what they didn't eat was just thrown on the ground. One lady I saw with long hair hanging around her face was cooking and serving meals and did not have a hair net or cap on which I thought was very unhygenic. I also noticed several plastic containers of salad foods with the lids off on several occassions so needless to say I bought elsewhere.

Booked privately through Deanna Dewey and stayed in 208 so I was concerned when I saw a poor review on this site. I need not have worried.
This apartment was in a great position and offered real value for money. The apartment was clean and well presented and even had a electric kettle. The satellite TV was an added bonus for my husband.
The heated pool was wonderful and I swam every day. The beach was only a five minute walk away but the sea was cold so we spent most of the day at the complex. It was great to use the pool and then nip back to the apartment for a drink - although we often stayed by the pool bar which also had nightly entertainment. I have already recommended this apartment to a friend who has booked with Mrs Dewey. And I don't hesitate in recommending these apartments to anyone.

Re-booked again through Mrs Dewey and this time stayed in number 208 which had an excellent view of the heated pool. As the sea was freezing in December the heated pool was an added bonus. This is the third time we have stayed in Mrs Dewey's apartments and again everything was fine. Janet who looks after the apartments was very friendly when she came to change the linen. The rooms are not luxury but they are clean and well looked after and offer excellent value for money and I have already recommended them to several friends who have also booked.

Nice complex in a good location but apartment 208 which we rented from Deanna Dewey was dirty and in desperate need of reburbishment. Both the front door and patio doors posed a security risk, it looked like they has been broken into and badly repaired.

After booking our holiday I read a bad review about her apartments and e-mailed her seeking confirmation the apartment would be clean on our arrival - despite her assurance it wasn't.. the place was filthy, the kitchen was covered in grease and there was even crumbs left on the work surface.

The wardrobe doors didn't slide properly, and we had to wipe them out before we could unpack, the headboards were hanging off the wall, one sofa bed was broken and wouldn't open the other so old and worn I could feel the wooden slats.

Three of us were staying in the apartment but on arrival only two beds had been made up, the safety deposit box wasn't working or the water heater so we had to contact Janet (easier said than done!) Sheets with holes in them were delivered , the water heater was sorted but only provided enough hot water for two showers.

Whilst we knew there wasn't a maid service we did expect the apartment to be clean on our arrival and to be provided with cleaning materials in order to keep it that way during our stay but weren't.

We were there for 11 nights and didn't get clean sheets during our stay.

Overall the apartment needs a visit from Kim & Aggie (how clean is your house) and a total revamp.

Just returned from a most enjoyable two week family holiday on this complex. We rented a one bedroom privately owned apartment with large balcony which was most comfortable and adequete for four people. It was very well equipped with fridge, toaster, electric kettle, four ring hob and oven, iron and ironing board, washing machine, TV with english channels. Towels were changed after the first week.
Garden city is in an excellent location within walking distance of bars, restaurants and San Eugenio shopping center. The complex is kept in a spotless condition and food very good in the poolside restaurant. We had a most enjoyable Sunday dinner in the Winning Post in the complex.
Looking forward to returning next year for a longer stay.

Have just returned after spending a week at apartment No. 649 Garden City, owned by Dymphna Byrne. Having been to this complex many times this was by far the best apartment we've stayed in. We enjoyed the luxury of a walk in shower, English tv channels and an added bonus in this clean apartment was the large balcony with table & chairs, sun beds and a gazebo. There was also a washing machine. I would highly recommend this 1 bedroom apartment to anyone wanting to stay at Garden City.

This was the first time had stayed on Garden City and after reading some of the reviews I was a little worried. But my fears were groundless. We booked via Mrs Dewey and my husband and I stayed in a poolside apartment and my son, daughter-in-law and grandson stayed in a one bedroomed apartment. Everything was clean and well maintained. We loved our poolside studio as we could watch our grandson playing in the pool while having a cuppa on our very own balcony. My son found their apartment to have everything they needed. And the Satellite TV was an added bonus for the evenings we didn't want to go out. We found all the staff very helpful. Overall we rated the complex extremely well. I think this accommodation offers excellent value for money as it has a Kids Club, gym and absolutely everything you could need. We've already booked again for January.

We have recently returned from Garden City in Tenerife- we had a wonderful time. I was very shocked to read such negative reviews about the very same apartment we have just stayed in, We booked a 1 bedroom private rented apartment from Mrs Dewey and we were in Apartment 202. My son and his girlfriend were in a studio apartment 100 yards away right in front of the pool. Both the 1 bedroom apartment & the studio were great and met our needs perfectly. The 1 bed apartment was really well equiped with a full 4 ring hob and oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, iron, ironing board etc etc. It had a TV with satellite channels which could pick up ITV, BBC Sky news etc, (this was great as it meant I could go and have a beer and watch the football in peace while the girls watched X Factor, Eastenders etc etc. The apartment had a lovely, large, peaceful and private balcony with 2 sunbeds on and chairs and table. There was plenty of storage room and wardrobe space. So that we did not have to take towels we asked mrs Dewey and she arranged for the cleaner to provide 10 bath towels for us for only 10 euros. We loved the apartment and will definately return and ask for the same apartment as it is in a fantastic location, 100 yards from the pool but in a really private and peaceful area. The complex bar was great and the food was excellent value. Can't really comment on the entertainment as we went out each night but the quizzes around the pool during the days were good and there was bingo and competitions in the pool.

we have just returned from two weeks on this complex and after reading the last few reviews were not looking forward to it. We found the site to be spotless, there were cleaners everyday sweeping etc. Our apartment was in excellent condition we even had a washing machine. The food on the site was excellent. The location is brilliant. As for the lifeguards, I wouldnt leave my children in the pool without supervision from us anyway. The only downside was the nightly entertainment finished too early!

This was our first visit to Tenerife. On arrival we went to our separate apartments (these were a private rental) ours (room 202)was not too bad but not good, our friends were in apartment 224 and this was disgusting it was filthy,we knew we had to keep them clean ourselves but we expected them to be clean on arrival. The next morning my friend rang our room to say she was not able to sleep in her bed as when she pulled back the sheets the be was crawling with black bugs. The owner of the apartments Deanna Dewey has a lady whose number we were to ring if any problems arose, she arrived promptly after speaking to the owner armed with insect spray, she could see how upset we were (she did clean both rooms) and said she didn't recall the last time she had cleaned that room as it is only done when last occupants leave. I e-mailed the owner and she admitted (eventually) that room 224 had not been cleaned for 5weeks.These rooms could do with a serious revamp as really tatty inside. Once I mentioned that if it was a tour company we could have tried for compensation the e-mails stopped. We would never use her rooms again which is a shame because Garden City as a complex was really nice, food at the pool bar was good, but the usual kareoke every night was a bit much to bear. There are lots of private rentals on this complex but hers were the pits as far as we were concerned. It totally ruined my friends holiday and I felt so guilty because I chose where to stay.

Garden City apartments within Club Olympus has really gone down hill, As a regular visitor to the area I am now disapointed with the complex.

The Club Olympus staff are extremely rude, heaven help you if things go wrong you have no chance of any compensation!

I can suggest if you get any problems to go to the Tourist information office along the beach front on the way to Veronicas they are very helpful and will log any complaints about your stay or problems with purchases in shops etc.

DO NOT leave any children unatended in pool even though lifeguard is there (in body not in mind!!)

Club Olympus apartment within garden city, over the years this complex has gone down hill!! Being pestered by the time share sales people of Club Olympus is a pain, the pool has a lifeguard who sleeps or reads on duty, so I do not advise to leave your kids in pool unless you have someone to watch out for them.

I suggest you buy a cockroach spray, also the apartments have a problem with ants, so do not leave anything out!! They get everywhere. Jen the kids entertainer was great though.

There is a lot of stairs and ramps to go up if you are unlucky to get an apartment at the top of the complex. Its no good complaining to staff at Club Olympus they are rude and couldnt care less about you once they have your money.

We stayed in Garden City as usual, just before easter for two weeks, all though it started to get busy by second week,

It was a brilliant time, the first week we was in Playa americas for the Soul in The Sun convention, (northern soul music) it was fantastic, thanks to all the peeps from up north making us southerners welcome!! "keep the faith"

Garden City is central to most good pubs, clubs, bars, the pool side bar is good for all refreshments. The supermarket on site is a bit expensive, but a short walk up the road to the big Macodona will get you cheaper bits and pieces.

My only gripe is getting up early to get a sunbed!! 8am by the second week, people had started to queue up!! and when the guy unchains them, one blink and theu are all gone!!

We have stayed regularly there for over 5 years now, and the complex has always been kept maintained. Good holiday for all ages.

Just returned from a wonderful two weeks in the Garden City complex in Playa De Las Americas. We rented the apartment off friends and really had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

The location was ideal, not in the hustle and bustle of everything but enough going on to keep us entertained. Plenty of local bars and restaurants with some good family entertainment.

Didn't have any need to get involved with the complex staff but they seemed very friendly. The pool bar serves snacks and drinks all day long and the entertainment at night comes in the form of bingo games and the inevitable Karaoke. Light hearted fun when we wanted a relaxing night.

Will return for sure.
