The room was clean but basic to say the least. The shower had no curtain so water soaked everywhere when you took a shower. Only one toilet roll given then you have to pay for them! The kitchenware was so minimal you would never be able to make a meal. Balcony clean - and ours was big enough to sunbathe - but most were tiny and in the shade most of the time. The staff love beer-swilling chip eaters, and encourage that, therefore if you want a good nights' sleep - dont expect the bar to close until the last person was drunk. Children are left playing out all night while this goes on and one night it was 3am before any sleep could be had. This seems to be acceptable as long as the bar is making money.
Convenient if you like walking.

Rooms only cleaned once in the week we was there. Towels and sheets only changed once!

Had to buy own toilet roll!

No toaster and only 3 glasses when there was 4 of us in the room! Not many plates and cutlery either.

Other from the room everything else was ok, food was good and quite abit to choose from. Not far from main strip.

Rooms were cleaned roughly every 2 days however more towels were needed. Your first toliet roll is free and from then on you have to get your own.

Rooms were very basic for self catering. Only an electric hob, no oven and limited cutlery, plates, bowls etc.

Air-conditioning was an extra to be paid for and some rooms share their balcony with others.

Food at the bar was good and had a decent range.

Apartments were 5-10 minutes walk from town and the main strip, in the quieter end of the town but still not too far out.

Activities included internet, ps3, pool and shownight.

Hotel staff were very friendly and made you feel extremely welcome.

Our stay was a good one.The staff were very helpfull. Dora's cooking 10/10.Gordon as a host 7/10.Too pushy for your money.

Very clean all over 10/10. Toilets need upgrading all over the island 2/10.

Entertainment needs looking into if your hoping to retain your customers. Kept playing dancing queen (abba)24/7.Need a new play list Gordon.

Wheelchair users would have problems at this hotel, as there is a lot of steps and no lifts to floors.

Staff all very helpfull 10/10,the beer is good for falling over with, eight pints should see you right.

Staying at the Sarpidon was amazing we had so much fun we loved it.

The staff were great and really helpful. Costa was so funny behind the bar and Dora's cooking was fab. t

They made our 2 week holiday so entertaining with Gordon's bbq and kareoke night (well done Gordon.)

We cant wait to go back to Sarpidon about the same time as last year as we got engaged there and would really love to catch up with every one there and have a really fantastic time with them all once again.

Kayleigh and Kim keep up your shoop shooping. Sam you keep up your excellent dancing on your mirror lol. Kay try n keep your violent streak in when you’ve had a drink haha, kate you won 4 the most lads, n me al just try n stay standing and not fall out of windows n fall on the floor n that’s with only a few drinks lol,

The lads who worked in the apartment were brilliant especially Gordon, costas (Dermot). Dora your food is lovely. Hopefully you will see us Geordie lasses soon.

Our accomodation was great we would recommend room 303. Double balcony and great size.

The room was cleaned every day and they even finished the washing up!. The location was great, not right in the centre but easy to walk to.

We ate out the first few nights but then we found the food in the pool bar so nice and good value for money we have meals there. The BBQ was a good laurgh and we would recommend people to go. Its not just about the food, its a chance to get to know everyone else there. We went and we ended up all going out as one big group and that was the best night.

All the staff are great, always there and nothing is too much trouble. I take my hat off to them all. Gordon who is English is great and how he remembers everyones names I have no idear, but he is great. Thomas Cook were great too and the Rep Chris, well we couldn't have anyone better!.

We are coming back again hopefully end of the year!. We would recommend Sarpidon to anyone!!.

Have stayed at the Sarpidon twice now and would definitely go again. Good value as the last minute cheapies often include this hotel for some reason.

Good location in the old town, 2 minute walk to 'the strip' but the old town itself has some nice, relaxed bars and the best restaurant, the Elisabeth is right outside the Sarpidons side entrance, please try it it's first class, and get the meze.

Staff are the friendliest I have encountered in Malia, cant do enough for you and the rooms are a bit different and quirky. Only negative I could think of was the karaoke going while we were getting rady to go out but I suppose that was for the kids.

The hotel is family run and very friendly, all the staff there make you feel welcome and at home. One bloke there called Gordon is actually English.

Its a very relaxed atmosphere, I haven't rated the entertainment much as there is not actually any organised activities except the bbq, but that can be a good thing, its nice and chilled out.

The location of the hotel is excellent,5mins from the action but quiet enough to sleep

Perfect location as close to bar street as you can get without actually being on it.

Always clean, nice food, and entertainment was good, but thats not important as always out on the lash.

Can come back at any time in the night/morning and have a laugh.

Booked up same hotel for this year :D

The hotel is always clean and tidy. They sell really nice food, Id recommend the full English with black pudding. The hotel is in a perfect location, about a 10 min walk and not near any main roads.

The hotel staff are very friendly. However the bbq isnt that great and I'm not gonna bother this year.

Going back this year in July. BEST!!

Absolutely loved Malia, best 2 weeks of me life and the Sarpidon was class. I was Miss Sarpidon cos I never left the place during the day, either in bed or by the pool.

Hotel rooms were nice, not that I had one cos Thomas Cook fucked up, 3 of us ended up staying in the basement, if anyone was there when we were you'll know who we were. Never shut up about how much of a shit hole it was and everyone got a tour! Haha

Anyway, forget the basement, the rooms are lush, the staff are canny and it's a good crack especially the bar after a night out. Used to chat to anyone and I found love in the Sarpidon so I love it!

The hotel was a really nice hotel very big rooms with fridge, hobs, kettle etc. I would recommend the air conditioning, only 6€ each 24hrs, at some points some of the lads would complain it’s too cold! And sometimes that’s just what you need when it’s boiling hot, or when your sweating while getting ready to go on a night out!

The hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the main strip - with the hotel being away from the strip you can actually get some sleep. I have stayed in a hotel on the strip in the past and there’s no way you can sleep with all the mopeds and quads going by 24/7!

Overall the hotel is a really good hotel, I just disliked some of the staff & security! And I wouldn't recommend the Sunday bbq (not really worth the money you pay) personally I'd rather go on a night out!

The girls and myself had the most amazing holiday, and that was alot down to the Sarpidon. The rooms were a reasonable size and clean. Only thing was we had to haul our suitcases about three flights up as there were no lifts!!! In Malia heat, this was not much fun!
However once settled we were straight to the bar for cocktails (which is open 24 hours - one of the best aspects if your up for a boozy time!). The staff were great I have to give a mention to Gordon who was the nicest guy ever (even offered to help out my friend and I who were wanting to stay for the rest of the summer as we loved it there so much.
The security guard was there to keep the noise down, but you are still aloud to have fun as it's not too strict.
The food was lovely and a reasonable price.
Overall the hotel made our holiday, and many of the people we met there we have kept in touch with. There was a great, laid-back atmosphere to the Sarpidon.

The Sarpidon Apartments where brilliant, there was 10 girls ages 18-21! Had so much fun there.

Gordon and the staff really make you feel welcome. The apartments are in an ideal location, about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the pubs and club, which is good because you still get a good nights sleep!

Rooms were clean and tidy and the food at the bar is great, loads of choice. The weekly BBQ is not to be missed!!

Myself and hubby and friend had a fantastic time at Sarpidon very friendly staff. Sophia, Gordon, James and Katerina were all great Gordon is not a family member but he was as much family as others.

Our room was smashing very large and very clean if you needed anything you just had to ask if they could get it you got it. Not too keen on beach road but for younger generation everything they would want.

Met some lovely locals we have booked again for next year and Im sure we will enjoy it just as much.

These apartments are close to everything but far enough away for peace if you want it we aged from 30-49yrs.

The room was clean and had everything you needed even a corkscrew.

The bar would stay open as long as someone was there to drink. Gordon was a great lad as were all the staff and owners.

If you go please go to the RED LION pub down the strip as the food is out of this world for value and size.

Will return again as a great base for anyone's holiday.

If you go out and walk to far then take the little train ride and it will drop you off right near the apartment.
