| said: We have just returned from these apartments and will not be going back. Our first night we were asked to share an apartment with another couple for a few hours till one was available, we didn't complain.
Andy as he likes English people to call him often didnt have change and would tell us he would give it to us later, he never did, we didn't complain. He would be too interested in young girls so would often get our order wrong, we didn't complain but when I didn't get a meal at all my husband did complain!
If you buy anything in this apartment pay for it straight away.I was apalled watching people struggle with their luggage especially a blind danish woman.
We have been going to Marmaris for over ten years and love the people the language and the culture and if it hadnt been for kenny and jimmy 2 lovely scottish men our holiday would have been ruined.

| said: We stayed in the top floor of the building, and had a very big balcony, and 2 rooms. Everything was very basic but you can live with it. However, you have to pay GBP 5 a day for aircondition which you cannot live without as the rooms have carpet and are more hot than outside. When we first arrived the porter brought our luggage to our room and left. We had to go back downstairs to ask for toilet paper and how to get the aircondition on. After 4 days we had run out of toilet paper and the cleaners had not put any in our room. We went down to ask for more paper and when then told by one of the guys, with a big smile on his face, that you only get 1 role of toilet paper, then you have to get the rest yourself. Now, i am aware that this is a 2/3 star apartment hotel. i have stayed in apartment hotels before but I have never been asked to pay for toilet paper - i found that absolutely ridiculous! One night when we ate in the restaurant the waiter didn't have the exact change for us so he said he would give us the 3,5 lira (GBP 1,5) the next day. After the toilet paper incident we decided that we were definitely going to get our money back (otherwise we wouldn't have bothered) and the guy said it was only 3 lira he owed us... now this isn't about the money but the fact that he was lying to us.
All in all we didn't have a good experience with this hotel at all and would not recommend it.. or at least if you do decide to go here because you find a really cheap deal, just keep in mind the extra money you have to spend on aircon and toilet paper ;)

| said: when we arraived at banana apts at 7am,we were greeted by the porter. He showed us to our room, which was 3 storreys high and at the back of the hotel, never mind tho at least he carried our suitcases for us.when we arraived in our apt it was much so basic, hey but what do you expect this is Turkey, and all 2/3star apts are more or less the same.
much to my amazement tho on the second day we were asked if we would like to move to the front of the hotel, with a pool view.that was a great move, much bigger and the balcony run all the way round our apt(massive).
The pool was very clean and cleaned out every night.I was very apprehensive about the pool as 1 or 2 peoples reviews wasnt so clever. The bar staff andy and tim as they like to call themselves was exellant and nothing was to much trouble for them. They would give us bar tabs.Me being me check everthing and it was always bang on.Once or twice it was in my favour.
Becarefull tho if you have a english breafast just check you sausages are cooked in the middle,ow and if you ask for boiled eggs they realy are bioled!!other than that tho the rest of the food we ate was great.
The apts on the internet look a lot bigger than this place realy is,but if you dont mind a short bus ride into the centre of marmaris or a 10 minute walk then this place is ideal.the beach is only 3minute walk aswell n theres plenty of things to keep you occoupied.thers 2 shops eitherside of the apts,if you are buying water its cheaper than the shops.
the entertainment is tim and andy, but there great guys,if you are going as a family i think you would have to go to town for that, but if you dont mind staying around the bar then there fun to be around, overall i would defo go back.

| said: Earlier this year i traveled to marmaris, Turkey with my friends and one of their daughters and we stayed at bannana aprart in marmaris. We were told that these were fantastic spacious and clean apartments fully furnished and fitted with a reasonably sized swimming pool. However when we arrived could've died there was a dirty pool with a murky grey coloured water we thought that was a one off beacause it was early in the morning and it'd yet to be cleaned. So we asked for help carrying our bags to the lift but we were informed that there was no lift and our bags were carried to a flight of concerete stairs and we were made to carry them ourselves. For the whole holiday we were disgusted using a limescale incrusted shower and wood planks instead of ceiling, wires coming out from cupboards, two armchairs for beds . I wouldn't reccomend this hotel to anybody and the staff a terrible and flirty.

| said: This is the fifth time I have stayed at Banana Apartments in a year and if I am going to Marmaris again I will stay here every time.
O.K the place isn't a palace but what do you expect? The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are extremly friendly and helpful at all times. I have made some good friends at Banana Apartments and the apartments next door.
Entertainment is a bit on the quiet side but we did attend two Turkish nights complete with belly dancers and break dancers which would not have been out of place at any of the bars you would find along Long Beach which is only a short ride away on the dolmus.
The Apartments are well situated as they are situated in between both Marmaris and Icmeler and only 2 minutes walk from the beach.
I have loved all of my stays at Banana Apartments and would recommend them to anyone.

| said: When we booked this we were told that Banana Apart was a 3* hotel, I explained that it was a girly holiday and I was taking my 12 year old daughter with me. This is not the 1st time I have booked a holiday on line so I am not naive to this way of booking. When we arrived at the Appartments,we got the shock of our lives, 1st of all as soon as you step into the entrance you are greeted by the dirty swimming pool and as you can imagine my 12 year old wanted to cry, then we found out our room was on the top floor and there are NO lifts in the facility so we had to carry our heavy suitcases up 5 flights of concrete stairs. Then when we got into the room I can only describe it as a cheap bedsit. There were wires comming out of the cupboards, the 2 beds placed in the living area looked like coffins and they might aswell had been cos after a night sleeping on them we had to pay out for a massage. In the end we had to push the 2 single beds in the bedroom together to make a double bed and all four of us slept on those for 6 nights, can you imagine that in the heat? Then there was the wobaly table which we had to prop up with news paper and then the Bathroom with no ceiling just planks of wood, I spent the whole time looking for a red light with someone filming or watching us have a shower. As for the staff they were not interested at all, the fridge was dirty and the balcony had not been cleaned from the last guests.I would not even reccommend this to my worst enemy and if the site allowed me to put in pictures i would gladly provide them, dont waste your time or your money as you will be deeply dissapointed if you stay at Banana Apart.

| said: This hotel on arrival was a complete let down, the kids were suddenly shocked to see we were miles away from the town centre and the hotel was completely empty. Only one staff menber bothered to talk to us and he was great company and speaks very good English.
The rooms were disgusting there were live wires coming from the roofs, some of the lights did not work and the bed were unconfortable.
The hotel was empty so the kids got bored very easy because lack of socialising and making friends, there is a pool table which leans to one side and the other staff do not socialise and the owner is ignorent. We had to wait 3 days to get air conditioning and the owner said we get fresh towels every '3' days and that is disgusting I do no recommend this appartment/hotel to anybody, I was glad to come home to rainy England

| said: These apartments are a fantastic base for your holiday. Extremely close to the beach and not far from the town centre which is a very short bus ride or you could walk if the weather is not too hot.
Extremely clean and very friendly. The staff are what makes this holiday complete as they are always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble.
Will definitely come back again, would recommend these apartments to both young and old as well as families.

| said: The Banana Apartments are pretty basic on first impression, but what it lacks in luxury it makes up for in a great holiday base.
The staff, especially Abdullah and Alex, were tremendous company to be around day and night. Nothing was too much for them - and excellent advice on where to go and what to do was always perfect.
The Apartment has a huge balcony, one twin room, and a pullout double bed in the living/kitchen area.
The Swimming Pool was well looked after, well used, and next to the Bar.
The Bar was great for daytime drinks and snacks and at night time an even better place for a drink and getting to know some Turkish people and their language.
Nobody wanted to go home at the end of the holiday.
The owners and staff stood by the transfer coach to see us off and say "Come Back Next Year"- Without Doubt we will!
