| said: The Serenade hotel is situated approx 2 blocks from the Gima superstore towards icmeler, and 1 block away from the beach. The hotel consists of 5 floors with one lift servicing all floors. It has a rather nice reception area with some chairs and settees and a water feature (not working when I was there). There is a bar with tv and seating as well as a bar terrace and dining room and terrace. This leads onto the toilets and the pool area.
You could rent a safety deposit box and air conditioning from reception. There is no entertainment at the hotel.
The staff are all pleasant and courteous and reception is manned 24 hours. There is no secure room for leaving luggage on your last day (you can leave it near reception which is ok) and no shower room for guests who have booked out. You had to be out of your room by noon on day of departure. Breakfast was served 7-10am.
The pool although small is very nice with steps leading up to a largish sun terrace. The pool has a small bar from which drinks and snacks can be purchased (3.5ytl beer, 3ytl soft drink, spirits approx 8ytl, pizza approx 5ytl). There are plenty of reclining sun beds (plus mattress) and parasols available. The deep end of the pool (2m) is made to look like a grotto with hanging plants and unusual rocks set into the wall (think Playboy mansion Turkey style!) which is very picturesque. There are plenty of finishing touches like ornate pillars and fireplaces to enhance the terrace and it is a pleasant enough, intimate place to spend your time. As expected the staff keeps the pool area spotless. The pool closes at 6pm for cleaning
Food
We were only Bed and breakfast, but the evening meal was available to book before 5pm and I think took the form of a buffet, can’t comment on it but looked ok from what I saw.
Breakfast consisted of usual Turkish fair, of cheese, meat, bread, eggs, yogurt, honey etc you could also get scrambled eggs, or an omelette from a chef. Coffee and tea and juice were also available, I enjoyed the Turkish breakfast and prefer them to a fry up.
Rooms, The room was adequate for our needs consisting of wardrobe, dresser, bedside cabinet, twin beds. Bathroom with shower and sink, and a small balcony with 2 chairs and table, colour tv with some English channels available. Nothing exceptional but nothing substandard either, although the colour scheme was a bit garish!
