| said: lots of food on half-board basis,if you like chicken and mince/Turkish breakfasts,this is the place for you as you get this everyday,the hotel was very clean and located right on the beach the staff were helpful if asked,but left you alone otherwise. there was no entertainment.the family rooms are big but smelled of cigarette smoke.i would go here again but would book twin rooms for a bit of privacy.

| said: Been to Turkey on fourteen previous occassions, this was the best yet.The hotel is in a great position, right on its own part of the beach. Breakfast was everything that one would wish for.All areas of the hotel were well kept, the rooms are of a good standard, with first class maid service. The staff are very attentive, professional,and nothing is too much for them. The hotel is quiet at night, although you are ten mins from the centre of the resort. A big thanks to Kerim, and the rest of the staff,for making our visit so memorable. We will return again to the Golmar.

there was two familys in our group, and not one of us had a bad word to say about this hotel.
the views from your room is breathtaking. this would be the best way to describe it.
there are plenty of sunbeds. you can either go by the pool, on their own section of beach or on the tanning deck.
the food is ok. none of us starved. they do like to use chicken a lot.
the location is perfect in my eyes as it is at the end of the bay. it is only a couple of minutes walk into the centre. when you wanted to sleep at night, you could because there isnt much noise near the hotel.
the staff are really nice. they will be there for you if you need them.
the hotel is on a whole very clean. never had a problem with anything.
there isnt loud entertainment at the hotel. this is how i prefered it. if you wanted the music and entertainment you only had to walk a couple of minutes and your there.

| said: We stayed at Golmar Beach Aug 2007 and were looking to go back again next year. The hotel is in need of up dating but really really clean. The position of the hotel is great as its just a 5 minuet walk from the bars and resturants. We stayed B&B but never eat in the buffet resturant as we were never up in time, the a la carte resturant was lovely though. The staff at the hotel were really hopfully and polite especially Ahmed who looked after us all day by the pool. This is no entertainment at the hotel, but that didn't bother us as there is plenty of bars and resturants near by. The only negative is the faulty lift which me, my partner and 2yr old got stuck in, It wasn't a plesent experience as it was like melting in a match box. I'd stay at the hotel again but would use the stairs next time.

| said: I really enjoyed are stay there, the staff are friendly and even though they didn't have much entertainment there was two great slides. I didn't really think they need any because I liked it quiet. We went on the boat trip twice because we enjoyed it so much thanks to Ebo the captin, faro and memmet. One day I twisted my ancle and Kerim helped me. Thank you to all the staff who kept the hotel clean and friendly.

| said: The Hotel is clean and has friendly staff that will do anything to make your stay as nice as possible.If you decide to come dont hesitate to go on the boat trip if you get travel sick they have free tablets and on the trip the B.B.Q was delicious. I recomend it to any one, also they have a nice fresh salad and next stop they have freshly prepaired fruit. I dont think any of this would be possible if it wasn't for Ebo, Faro and Mehmet. Also the slides are really fun even for us adults.

| said: We found the Golmar Hotel gave us a fantastic experience.Although it does need some updating,the staff work very hard to keep it clean. I marked the entertainment with a 2 although we only had one organized night in our 2 week visit we found that if we tried to speak Turkish we soon became popular with staff, and exchange friendly banter day, and night it was really fun. We met lots of other families,and some of us will be meeting up at the Golmar again. Its location is the best in Icmelar. Its views of the beach and horizon are fabulous, and it offers peace and tranquilty of an evening whilst being on the edge of a busy lively resort If you want a memorable experience I would recommend this hotel anyday.

| said: Well the hotel was fabulous for just sleeping in as there wasn't any entertainment but there were many pubs like 2 minutes from the hotel and they was all very good.
There are about 4 beaches but there all very rocky.
I really liked Turkey and the Golmar Hotel and will be visiting it again in 2008!

| said: was not our choice of hotel thomas cook changed us at last minute but looked nice online, staff wasnt very helpfull except pool man who was great, air conditioning was faulty, pool water tasted very salty and gave us all soar throat so we used pool in another hotel, room was covered with ants we asked to have a different room but was told no,they told us to leave the room while they sprayed it with ant killer, and come back to the room one hour later, did cut down on ants but still was quite a few , as for so called facilities pool table no balls, table tennis no bats, sauna didnt work, chakuzzi didnt work, turkish bath didnt work, satelite tv only 3 channels , only way to get a sun lounger by pool was to get up at 6am as towels was put on lounger early although nobody on them till much later, was not impressed with the hotel atall, icmeler itself is great, will go back to icmeler next year but not to golmar beach hotel.

| said: Golmar Beach Hotel is located near the new marina at the far end of the resort on the sea front, the location is great.
The rooms are quite old but clean and spacious and the sea views are super.
Good pool with two slides and plenty of free sunbeds around the pool and on there bit of beach.
Staff were very friendly and tried hard to please even taking us to Dalaman airport when our pre arranged transfer (ResortHoppa) didn’t turn up, next time I will book transfer with the hotel who will meet you and return you on time for a relatively small charge.
The food was Ok for us but our 11 year old only liked about 25% of what was on offer, breakfast got a bit same same typical Turkish, eggs tasteless cheese, unknown meat, toast, cereals and cake, but hey were in Turkey what do you expect. We did have an English breakfast in the bar a couple of times, good big and cheap. Evening meals were reasonable and different each night, but again there are so many bars/restaurants in the resort I think you would miss out on a good part of your holiday if you eat at the hotel every night.
We will return to the Golmar beach hotel again but on bed & breakfast. They do provide boat trips but we never had enough time to go on one just to busy enjoying ourselves maybe next time, all in all I would say a good choice for our first visit to Turkey.

| said: The location was lovely, the best right at end of bay fantastic view. The cleaner came every day didn't clean carpets but did ask after that they were every day also had clean towels every day.
The breakfast is cereal bread meats and olives and fruit I enjoyed.
The staff are helpful and friendly the only problem I had was getting a fridge that worked gave up after 3. There is no entertainment for the British the water polo and aerobics for the Turkish and others but there are plenty of bars near by so not a problem.
I would definitely go back already looking to book.

The rooms were cleaned daily.. the maids made our bed sheets into swans and bows.
The food was nice.. Continental Breakfast
, Different things every night, the desserts basically stayed the same but where still nice.
Location was best in Icmeler.. End of a bay .. close to the town centre but quiet at night! Right across from beach!
Staff were very friendly, especially Akhmed ( The Pool and Beach Boy ). The staff at diner and lunch are very talkative.
No entertainment in hotel, but thats ok for us because we go out everynight!
Booked for next year again !!

| said: The hotel cleanliness was good, maids came in to our room daily changed the beds and towels.
This hotel is in a good position right on the beach and close to all shops and bars.
The staff at the golmar were quiet but friendley always greeted us with a smile. There was no entertainment in the hotel when we stayed there but maybe this was because it was the begining of he season.

When we stayed there originally some years ago it was a lot smaller and has been extended, we did worry that it may have had a detremental effect as it got a lot bigger but it is still a friendly hotel

| said: Hotel is classed as 3 Star but I would only rate it as 2. If you are placed in the wrong room then the chicken farm across the road may cause you problems as the cockerel chirps up every morning. Air conditioning is charged extra at £4 a day. Safety Deposit box is charged at £1 a day and is in reception so as 2 keys are needed to open you have to keep asking for the receptionist.
Staff are friendly and willing to help.
Rooms are basic but clean. Beds made, and towels changed daily. No "Do not Disturb" signs so beware.
Position is excellent and went on the boat trip which was also very good.
Breakfast was bread, eggs, cereal. Cats do roam around the dining room.
Pool is good, always got sunbeds and the slides are good.
Overall OK but for the price and the fact that you have to pay extra for air con I would only rate this as an average hotel.

| said: The Golmar Beach Hotel has the best position on Icmeler beach, right at the far end of the bay, close enough to the action but quiet at night.
The hotel boat goes out 2/3 times a week, costs around £10 which includes lunch. Booked again for 2006 (4th time at this hotel).

All the staff are very friendly and helpful
the pools were excellent and so was the beach.
It was lovely to wake up in the morning to a beautiful sea view and have breakfast over looking the bay.
My overall opinion of this hotel is u wouldn't find a much better one for the price. we will be using again.

The setting is unbelievable- right on the beach.
The staff are really friendly, this includes the family who own the hotel.
It is amazing the number of people who come back to the Golmar year on year. There were many new families this year who all seemed to be having a good time.

| said: We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday at the Golmar Beach which is in an excellent position.
All rooms have spectacular sea views and only a few steps from the beach.The location is perfect,quiet but only about 10 mins walk along the promenade into the centre of Icmeler. The rooms are basic but spotless.
We were bed & breakfast only but did eat at the hotel some lunchtimes and had a few evening meals there
which were very good. I would recommend the Stroganoff.
The staff were all efficient and friendly especially
Kerim on reception. It was my husband 60th birthday and our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and after celebrating at a nearby restaurant came back to our room to find a beautiful flower arrangement with a lovely note from Kerim congratulating us. The cleaning lady was also lovely and after seeing our cards decorated the bed with petals and hearts.
We enjoyed our stay at the Golmar and hope to return
next year.

| said: We stayed at this hotel 9/10th August'05 for two nights and were not impressed. It's decor was very dated, the rooms were very basic with doors that had poor locks, furniture in the room was on it's last legs.
The food was served in the dining room which was very warm with no air conditioning, the food was exposed for up to 3 hours without any means of maintaining a serving temperature and no shortage of flies landing on the food! Even though we were H/B we ate out every meal time.
Didn't see the entertainment, so can't comment.
Pool didn't look very clean, I couldn't see the bottom, not because it was deep but because water was cloudy!?
Good points were the staff and excellent views.

| said: This hotel has got to have the best location in icmeler, it's the last hotel on a small stretch of beach just round from the main beach. The rooms are very basic and quite small, unless you get one of the corner rooms looking out to sea.
The maid service is great rooms cleaned every day and towels and linen every other day,the maids dont speak much english but smile and say hello, disappointed with waiters, barstaff and reception staff who all seemed to have an attitude.
The beach runners ( they bring your drinks to you on the beach and you pay them at end of day) are a great bunch, tip them well. Only ate at hotel a couple of times to many resturants to try,food was passable, there was no evening entertainment when we stayed this may have changed.
Large swimmingpool but over hung with trees never used it as beach only 3 metres from hotel plenty of sunbeds to be had.
