Excellent holiday but there really is nothing to do outside the hotel complex. You will have to hire a car I'm afraid. Other than that can't fault anything about the complex at all.

This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We simply could not fault anything. The food and drink was very good and all of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

One of the best things about this hotel was the amount of sunbeds free around the kids pool. you could have a choice of beds throughout the day, anyday. This for me takes the stress of getting out of bed to compete for a sunbed by the pool.

The cleanliness of the hotel, pools and surounding areas was excellent, with staff constantly cleaning. The pools were very clean and were even closed off for severn hours one day for cleaning after a child had a small accident! The hotel is also fully covered by security, both front and back (24hr) to stop anyone walking in. As we had our small boy with us, this gave us peace of mind.

The only down point was the beach which was not the pure soft sand we were expecting, also in June the sea contained sea urchines which can be painfull if stepped on.

The location of the hotel is not as bad as some poeple make out. If you fancy a walk its 15 mins into town. If not then simply jump on the free mini bus which runs into town every 30mins.

Overal the food. drink, staff entertainment, location, hotels quests were fantastic. The holiday was so good we have already booked for next June. Can't wait to return.

if you want a pool holiday where there is plenty of space then upgrade to the deluxe suites and you will not be disappointed, we stayed for 2 weeks during that time we never saw all of the sun beds around the private pool taken, It took me a couple of days to get used the peace and quite around the pool. I did go down to the main pool to play water polo which was fun if not rough. Service was second to none no queing at the bars food was fine We have already booked to go back next August.

Stayed at this hotel recently,08/06/07.

Spotless, food terrific. Location was not problematic
staff wonderful. Entertainment good. Could have had a little more day entertainment.

Our party all agreed this was the best all inclusive hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff were the best.

Overall a lovely hotel.

Stayed at the Oceania in June '07 and from the moment we arrived the staff were absolutely excellent, they can't do enough for you. Room was spotless and facilities all in all quite good, food always very good also. Our son also enjoyed the kids club.

Unfortunately because we had a pushchair it got a bit trying constantly in and out of fairly busy lifts to go to eat and in the evenings. We had a deluxe apartment and were on the the 1st floor which had no lift. The only other thing I would say is that the bars in the evening were very formal, one of the pool bars was open but very limited seating. Also really out numbered with Germans & Russians!!

Travelled to Oceania last 2 weeks in September 2006. The hotel its self is faultless in every way.

The rooms are spacious, well decorated, and spotless. They are cleaned every day and towels are changed every day if you wish. Mini bar in the room stocked daily with water, juice, beer and wine.

The food in all 4 restaurants is second to none. (The Asian my personal favourite.) The drinks are named brands not local brands, and are served to you sun loungers during the day both around the pool and on the beach (if you don't want to move.)

The entertainment can't really comment on however did go to watch Mama Mia and Starlight Express. If your not a fan you have to appreciate the skills of the animation team (and other hotel staff) on roller skates. The animation team are not loud Their aptitude is that your there to holiday not be pestered if you want to join in you will of your own accord.

The only down side is the location. Nea Moudina is a working town none of your usual tavernas etc nearby in case you want to get out and about. There is nothing really in either direction from the hotel it is set in a purely residential area with no sights etc to see.

The hotel is set on a hill leading to the beach. It is about a 10 min walk from Nea Moudania, however, I would not waste the time to walk there as it is a bit of a dump. The rooms and communal areas are very well presented and kept immacuately clean. The maids come every day and change your towels and linen and re-stock the mini bar.

The staff are very friendly and work very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible and are always offering you more drinks. The drinks are national and international brands including cocktails and sparkling wine.

The buffet restaurant is fantastic, a wide range of food to choose from at superb quality. The a-la-carte restaurants are also well worth a visit and for us the Asian was the best. 3 visits per week and you must book in advance.

The main pool is beautiful and very clean, the water is constantly being changed but the trade off is that it is quite cool! The pool bar is open from 10 am serving drinks and ice cream and also houses the pool towel exchange.

Down from the pool is the beach which is average, course sand and a few rocks under the water. There are sunbeds and watersports on the beach and there is also a hotel run beach bar providing drinks for you.

The hotel was wonderful. Certainly 5 star standard.
Location could have been better. We (and many other people we meet during our stay)did not think much of Nea Moudania but if you want to just relax and chill out by the pool you will have a great time.

The food and drink were really good. Even my daughter (6 years old) found many things to eat. She loved the drinks, ice-creams and snacks being available all day.

We upgraded to a deluxe junior suite. Well worth it. The room was wonderful and the views to die for! The mini-bar was restocked daily and has tea and coffee facilities. If you upgrade you have use off a private pool and it's own bar. The pool is extremely convienient (just beneath the rooms).

All the staff were all extremely friendly and very helpful.

The entertainment we saw - only one evening - was brilliant. We saw Mama Mia. If you go you really must see this. It was superb!

We would most certainly return again - we are looking at next year already!

First of all, if you are looking to book this hotel, book direct with the hotel and flights with BA, we did this and saved hundreds!

Good hotel, food excellent, we ate at the italian, greek and asian a la cartes and enjoyed them all, book when you arrive htough as places are limited. Our 2 year old was also allow in the a la caret restaurants and we always found something for her to eat, choice at the buffet was excellent, something for everyone.

Very clean, we had a room in block 1 with a sea view, nice and spacious, mini bar refilled daily with wine, beer and juice, water.

as others have mentioned, location not good, Nea Moundania is a typical greek town with only a couple of souveneir type shops.

We only went to 1 show, Mamma Mia which was very good.

If you have children this hotel is ideal, choice of pools including baby pool, playground and small indoor soft play area, there was also a nightly mini disco which our daughter loved.

enjoyed this hotel, beach was ok, bit stoney and not the best.................would we return, no, but only because we never go to the same place twice..........enjoy!!

The Oceania Club Hotel was absolutely perfect in every way - cant fault it. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The restaurant was one of the best, and had plentiful choice, well laid out and the service was efficient.

The hotel, although it had lovely views, was in a quiet location, which we like, the village of Nea Moudania is a short walk away, there is a free shuttle bus service running from the hotel which takes approx 10 minutes, however theres not a lot there, typically greek so we went there once only.

Hotel staff were very very polite, helpful and friendly. Infact all of them were the nicest staff weve ever come across. None of them were loud or in your face which was refreshing. They do activities like quizes, aerobics, water polo etc, but they dont force you its there if you want to join in, if not thats ok.

The entertainment in the hotel was enjoyable, especially the main show, which for us was Starlight Express, they perform on rollerskates and their adaptation was spectacular.

I would definately return to this hotel, and hope that it never changes. Perfect, but pricey.

Where do I start what a fantastic holiday good rooms food, pool, staff and watersports.

Many thanks to all the barstaff very friendly, Yanis and George who do the watersports what a great laugh. If you dont like water you will love it after they get their hands on you adults and kids alike. Watch out for Yanis he is a ladies man or he thinks he is.

Entertainment is ok but you have to find it as the staff are not aloud to bug the customers apparantly next year things are going to change Neil, Ronny and Josh are all superb we had an excellent time many thanks to them.

Try the waterpolo if you like a bit of dirty play. Overall a fab holiday only down side is the people from Russia tend to leave their manners at home and they really do not like having fun would definitely go back and the best bit is you get a wicked tan in Greece.

Exceptionally good hotel. Certainly 5* according to Greek standards

Room fabulous. Cleanliness excellent.

We had a junior suite and our views were fantastic.

The staff are all very friendly and are there to look after you

The guest relations girls are so helpful and knowledgeable

The choice of drink and food is amazing. Even the most fussiest person will find something to their taste. The Asian restaurant was superb as also was the Italian
Individual service in these eateries with a good wine selection to choose from. You are never rushed no matter what you are doing.

Clean towels everyday for the pool

Clean towels everyday in bedrooms and bedding changed every third day

The town of Nea Moudania is old unspoilt Greece. It is a l port and quite busy, but to sit on the quayside at a waterside bar and watch the setting sun with an Ouzo in your hand is a pleasure to savour

Would I go back? Indeed I would

Do not hesitate to book this place soon. I believe it will become very expensive and that the area will develop rapidly over the next 5 years or so. Go before this happens and enjoy a quaint unspoilt part of Greece whilst you still can

Tea and coffee plus a kettle and cups and saucers in your rooms. Stocks replenished daily

I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We have just returned from a fortnight at the Oceania & would return tomorrow given the oppurtunity.

We had the advantage of knowing Halkidiki & so are aware of the area ie Nea Moudania. The hotel was excellent & the staff bent over backwards to help. The rooms were large & the food brilliant & plentiful.

We were more than happy with the facilities & the children were entertained.

Our only gripe would be we would like a bar open on the beach at night....

We will definately return & recommend it to anyone.
Go & enjoy.....

Having just returned from our Honeymoon staying in the Oceania Club, Nea Moundania we found the hotel and its facilities to be superb . The rooms were all spacious and cleaned daily. The view from our room was amazing.

The All inclusive facilities were incredible with all international brands available. The food in all of the restaurants was excellent, with a huge variety. Travelling with two young children there was always plenty for them to choose from, one gripe the children may have is that most days the hotel ran out of ice cream !!

The location of the hotel was on a hill and made an interesting walk back to your room. If you were lucky there was a golf buggy at the foot of the hill to take you back.

The staff in the hotel were friendly and service in all of the bars and restaurants was timely.

The entertainment was very good, just not enough of it !! The main evening entertainment did not start until 10pm. With the childrens activities ending at 8:30pm there was always a long wait without anything for the children to do.

We would return, however in a few years to enable the surrounding area to catch up and hopefully have slightly more to offer.

If you are looking for a holiday where you can relax by the pool, eat & drink as much as you like then this really is the hotel for you. We would love to pick up the hotel and put it in a nicer town.

Having stayed at the Oceania Club for 19 days we found the hotel to be excellent.

The Staff were great and very helpful.

The choice of international drinks superb, the food was of a very high standard with many choices.

My Daughter spent all of her time at the kid club, big thanks to Mel and Sam. Also have to mention Neil in charge of the teenage club who done a great job. The animation time were also good special mention to Phil. My daughter watched the shows in the evening and also participated in the production of Cats with the rest of the mini club kids. The evenings could have been better, no music in the bar after the shows. But I am sure this will be addressed for next year.

The rooms were very clean with TV and DVD player in every room with mini bar filled everyday with beer wine and soft drinks (no diet). The junior suites had there own pool and bar.

The main pool was lovely the only problem was the shallow end, people were slipping as they walked in. This is also being addressed for next year.

The beach was disappointing the sand was coarse with stones, but yet again sand is being brought in for next year. I have to mention the guys who do the watersports they were very professional, they are the Hellenic Rescue Team so you are in very safe hands.

My rep Gareth was very helpful, also have to mention the First choice Rep she was also helpful when my rep was not around.

We had a great holiday and would recommend this hotel to any family.

I never visit the same hotel, but i have to make an exception for this one. I am already finding prices for next year.

Very nice hotel, you will enjoy it much more if you are not expecting a five star hotel.

The main dissapointment was the main restauraunt it was far to big, we christened it the school dinner hall, the food was good though with plenty of choice always very fresh, we also had problems booking into the Asian restaurant we were told you could only eat there once in the two week break.

Hotel was lovely and clean.

Staff were all lovely and very helpful.

Did not like the extra bed in the delux suite, my son who is 19 and six foot five had to sleep on a couch for the two weeks not good when you have paid nearly seven thousand pounds for a family of five.

The Junior delux suite my husband and my self had was very nice with plenty of space.

Overall we did have a lovely holiday and would possibily. Overall go again but only for a week .

Visited Oceania Club in May 2005 - 2nd week the hotel opened there were lots of problems but we knew once up and running properly it would be fantastic!!!

So we went again 2 weeks ago. How the place has come on - it was absolutely wonderful, food was excellent staff were excellent they even wait on you on the beach.

The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but all of the entertainers tried really hard and were very friendly.

The rooms are very well decorated and exceptionally clean. The mini bar stocked up every day was fantastic. The kids had a great time and we are even considering going again next year!!.

A special thanks to Lynne from Instant Holidays for arranging everything for us.

In our party there were four people. Me (a 16 year old), my friend (also 16) and my parents in their forties and fifties and we were all in agreement that this came well in our top three hotels ever!

We arrived at the hotel at around midnight yet there were still three people manning reception and check in was extrememly fast and efficient.

Unfortunately my friend and I were booked into a twin room but on arrival realised we had a junior suite with a double bed. In the morning we asked Jodie, our rep if we could have an extra bed put in. It wasn't in after six hours so we went back personally and a single bed was delivered within ten minutes and we got to keep the suite!

That was the only problem we experienced on what otherwise was personally the best holiday I have ever had.

The pool was lovely but you had to get down there before ten really if you wanted a bed.

Staff came round every hour asking for drinks orders which was great and saved walking!

The beach was about a minutes walk away if that and was lovely golden sand.

If you like a thrill partake in some of the watersports. For ten euros each you can go on the "Extreme" which is well worth it!

On another note the food in the hotel is excellent, there is an absolutely huge choice of food which is all delicious.

We ate in the Italian once and the Asian twice and all three times the food was top notch although for some reason the waitress in the Asian kept on talking to us in German!

The nightclub - well there are two ways of looking at it. Its either a very good club that is quiet because it isn't advertised enough or its a poor club that deserves to be quiet. I would tend to lean towards the first one because in our last week there was about twenty of us in there which turned it into a real party atmosphere. Also the DJ has copied my CD's onto his computer so at least you will have some good music now!!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful without exception. Ross, the barman, even invited us to his leaving do!

If you were thinking about taking a CD player there's no need as there is a DVD player in the room which plays CD's without any problem so take some tunes!

The town was okay but nothing special, the market was average although they do sell nice fake Lacoste T-shirts for 12 euros!

In short I would definately return tomorrow!!

The hotel lived up to expectations. It was very plush.
The food was exceptional. The only meal which was not up to Standard was the Italian Restaurant.

The staff were excellent and friendly it was service with a smile. The entertainment in the day was not too good and the evening needs to be sorted out, bearing in mind that you would not want to leave the hotel other than the organised trips. Hopefully this will be sorted out with the experience from the other nearby resortof the SANI HOTEL & SANI BEACH CLUB.

I would consider returning back because I wanted a high quality family safe holiday and this is exactly exactly what we got.

We have just returned from an excellent two week holiday at the Oceania Club hotel.

The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. They certainly didn't expect a tip but we were so thrilled with the level of service that we singled our favourites out!

Our First Choice rep was fantastic and very friendly and helpful. She could be a comedieene! The room was large, extremely clean and had a fantastic view.

The fitness instructor is excellent as well as being a lovely person and she really made our holiday. There were so few people turning up to her 3-4 lessons per day that we virtually had a personal trainer! I'm sure it was just the heat that put people off.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone as they have certainly ironed out any initial problems they encountered in May.

It is now superb!

Early reports had me worried, but no need - when we arrived in mid July everything was up and running. The hotel is excellent, absolutely faultless.

However if travelling with more than one child you do need to upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, for the extra space. Staff service was excellent, they were all without exception pleasant and helpful.

Would highly recommend treating yourself to a treatment in the spa - reasonably priced and very well-trained staff. The entertainment was limited but we had two teenagers with us and honestly never saw them - so they were obviously well-occupied.

The water sports from the beach are great - and there is a nice little beach bar. There is a disco, internet facilites and several bar areas where you can relax on an evening. I would highly recommend booking the ala carte restaurants, every one of them we found to be excellent.

No problems with reserving sun-beds - any towels left unoccupied before around 9.30am are removed!! and rightly so!!

Stayed for one week all inclusive and were quite concerned following previous reviews. It looks like they had just finished the hotel. However everything there is now finished to a useable standard and is brand new, so the hotel's facilities are excellent.

The pool area is large although quite slippy but has great views over the sea. The all incusive system works very well, with waiter service to all areas and very friendly. The check in was very slow and took us about 3 hours to check in as the area appeared to be under staffed, but other than this everything else was great.

The town is about 15 mins walk away and was a bit diappointing, but if you fancy lounging by the pool for a week as we did, it was great. Don't worry if you have booked, just go and enjoy it.

After reading the earlier reports,I would say the hotel has greatly improved. Continental breakfast started at 5.30 am,then the main breakfast was from 7,00 untill 11.00.At the end of our week you could have breakfast in your room for 10 euros. There was a good variety of food available while we was there.

The hotel was spotless, although there was a couple of workers about doing some small jobs.

The beach bar opened the week we were there, and although the beach was a mixture of sand and stones, I understand new sand is going to be laid. The sunbeds are more comfy on the beach because the padding for the beds by the pools hasn't arrived yet. There are a lot of steps down to the beach, but they will give you a lift on the golf carts they have running around .

We stayed in the junior suite and there were sunbeds available all day only a few taken by 9.30,which can also be said for the other pools and the beach. Hotel rule of no resevered beds before 9.00am. Obviously some people bend this rule.

Be aware that gentlemen must wear long trousers everywhere in the hotel in the evening.

There was entertainment but we never really watched it,so I can' comment, but the bars and waiter service was good. If you want you can hire DVD'S to watch in your room.

The staffing levels must have risen, and we found them very friendly and helpful.

The main town is about a mile away, its a fishing port. Watch the boats go out at 8.00pm and fish in front of the hotel. The town is biggish ,but not exactly picturesque, but some nice bars by the harbour. We had a meal there and it was fine. Its very greek if you now what I mean, a working town.

Some of the earlier reporters had a bad time but i think this is mainly due to the hotel not running at full speed, but it's nearly there.Of course for them ,quite rightly, that's not the point.

We think it was a good all inclusive hotel that just needs a bit of fine tuning,we would go back.I think you will find it will improve week on week.

The pool area was very slippery, lots of people falling/slipping in and around the pool. Lifts not operating correctly, not very good as everything on six levels.

Entertainment was poor, not much for chldren to do.

The town of Nea Mondania not suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs, more of a working town, no restaurants/tavernas.

Not a 4*+ hotel and never will be, at best a 3*. Not suitable for families or the disabled although they sell it as a family hotel, it never will be through design. When we went 19-5 to 3-6 still alot of building work going on to complete hotel, alot of facilities still not available although i believe its getting better now.

Food was quite good but could do with a few theme nights as it got a bit samey after two weeks.

Location is peacefull, nice it you want a get away from it holiday and do not want to wonder outside of hotel. Neo Moudinia is a very small working town/port and not geared up for tourists found it very difficult and at times dangerous to try and negotiate a pushchair around the town due to lack of pavements.

Hotel staff were doing there best with all the problems going on, but very understaffed.

Entertainment was poor or non existant, best left at that i think!!!

Would i go again or reccomend? No.

Liked the surrounding area. Paid & expected 5 starhotel not nearly finished when we arrived worst holiday ever. No spa, no indoor pool, workmen everywhere a real building site we were in group of first guests to this new hotel & it was an experiment we did not know we had paid to be a part of!

Diabolical service, 2 days no electric, 2 days no water diabolical entertainment, 95% of advertised facilites not available.

Rated as five star resort ! No way- stunning views may well be a nice hotel eventually but paid a lot of money for holiday from hell. Day we were leaving furniture still arriving.

Advertised as having cinema, disco, several bars, shops, tennis courts etc not one available a real joke. Bitter dissapointment- staff only arrived four hours before us !

So they did not even no where toilets were a real health & safety hazsrd.

Hotel nowhere near finished.

We had 3 room changes before we got the luxury suite we paid for.No bar facilities at the private pool for 10 days then only soft drinks or beer. No handrails on steps and outside our suite was in total darkness until the last day.

Trays of food left out in corridor for 3 days. No fire safety instructions or welcome packs in rooms so we had no idea of what was available. The rooms were never stocked up or mini bars filled you had to ask at reception and then wait for 3 days, if you were lucky.

We even had to queue to get in to the buffet style restaurant, the other 2 restaurants ran out of food and to be quite honest were a joke, service poor and so slow that one evening after an hour and a half and still no main course we walked out.

Hotel management and local staff ate in the restaurant and drank at the bar and got drunk in the nightclub. I could go on but I must say what an entire waste of 2 weeks and over £2000.I would rate this hotel 2*

I stayed at this hotel end of May, for one week. Upon arrival, the booking in at reception was a little slow, however the rooms were ready for us.

I believe some guests had to wait several hours before their rooms were ready! The room was lovely and clean, and was cleaned daily. All the facilities in the room worked without problems, ie air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, mini bar.

Initially, we had to order what we required for the mini bar from reception, then it was supposedly re stocked the following day, this didn't appear to be working well so it was changed and the mini bar was re stocked daily, which was much more convenient.

The food was good, however the Asian and the Italian restaurants were quite a let down, there was a long wait for the food and when it arrived the standard was pretty poor.

The location. Well the view from our room was beautiful, we were in the front block and the balcony looked out over the beach and sea. The resort was very quiet, but if you want a lively resort you have to obviously consider this when booking the holiday.

The staff were very polite, helpful and hard working. There is a young lady in reception who speaks excellent english and was very helpful ( she did live in Liverpool for a couple of years and can speak scouse very well!)
Entertainment could be better. Often a pianist would play in the main bar, however sometimes we felt things needed livening up a little.

One word of warning, the lagoon style pool- is terribly slippery, several guests slipped over upon entering with one guest needing hospital treatment and had to wear a neck collar!

I have to say that not all facilities were available whilst we were there,no internet access or cafe, no Greek Taverna, no beach bar and the fitness room in the spa was poorly equipped.

I do believe that these facilities were soon to be up and running.

Conclusion: The two twelve year old girls in the party loved the holiday and entertained themselves brilliantly, they didn't attend any kids clubs, so i can't comment on them.I would definetly go back to the hotel again, but would hope the weather to be better than when we went(lots of rain, thunder and lightening!!) with only a few sunny days.

Stayed at Oceania Beach Club for one week May-June.Had some trouble getting the twin-bedded room we'd booked, although this was shown on our accommodation slip. They insisted we had to accept a single room, but finally agreed to give us a junior suite after I agreed to pay an extra E20 daily. (After discussing this with the tour operator representative they agreed to pick-up the extra charge for us) Other than this debacle we found staff helpful and friendly.

Food palatable but not five-star as far as choice was concerned - also people doing cooking of lamb chops and eggs etc need training.Unlike many people we found service and food in Asian and Italian restaurants to be quite satisfactory. Lobby bar does not open until 5.00 - if you require a drink before then you have to go to the beach or the pool bar- to reach the pool bar you have to walk past children's paddling pool and down several steps. Of course, as usually all the loungers around the pool are taken, you then have to carry your beverage to some other destination. The regular pool is extremely slippery. If you decide to use it, take very great care on entering.

Don't be fooled by the 'seaview' supposedly available from every room. The first room we were given looked out onto another building, and the sea was only visible by standing at the edge of the balcony and peering down to the left where one could catch a glimpse of it. If you're booking tell them you want a 'sea front' room.

Most of the time only one out of the three elevators in the main building were working. Dirty glasses and empty bottles from the rooms were left on the ledge of the wall lining the corridor for days.
I'm sure thast when the hotel gets the glitches ironed out,for example trained cooks, and greater variety of foods in the dining-room, opens the lobby bar at a reasonable hour, arranges for regular transportation to and from the beach, resurfaces the pool so that entering it is safe etc. etc. it will be good. Right now it is having 'teething problems. On a positive note, the rooms are clean, well apoointed and usually made up at a reasonable hour.

We stayed at this hotel in May of this year, to our understanding it had only be open about a month or so.

The only complaint really we had was that the staff were new to there jobs and this did show! but we was on holiday and had developed the laid back approach so really it didn't affect our holiday.

We found the hotel spotless, we had a large terrace (ideal as we have an 18 month old), which had a beautiful sea view.

There were plenty of lifts so even though the hotel was spread amongst six floors it really didn't cause us any extra work. The hotel backs on to the beach (literally 2 minutes walk) which was beatiful, very peaceful and gorgeous white sands. There was also the opportunity to do various water sports.

There was a large variety of food options every night including greek salads, chicken, fish, breads, cheeses, loads of desserts. Breakfast was english and continental. The food was perfect can't fault it.

I would go back to this hotel * but * only if it was in a different location, there was just not enough to do in the area, fortuneatly we was only there a week.
