The hotel was very clean, the food very good [we all put weight on]
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The free bus shuttle service given by the hotel took us to the places we wanted to visit and picked us up again.
We would go back again to this hotel.

| said: If youre after an escape from it all holiday, this is the place for you.
The hotel is located approximately a 10 minute walk from the beach, and if you dont feel like walking, a free shuttle bus provided by the hotel will take you there.
Entertainment is only provided 2 nights a week, but its sister hotel, which is located just across the road provides entertainment most nights.
If you fancy going into Naama bay, which is where it all happens in Sharm, then the hotel also provides a free bus each evening. The hotel is very clean and provides everything you need.
The food is of a good standard (first time weve been abroad and not had bad stomachs), although a little repetitive.
Staff all very helpful and friendly. We cant wait to re-visit.

| said: Overall a very clean place to stay, but that's about it, wanted to come home after 3 days but stuck with it.
The brochure stated there were 2 restaurants but there was only one, the evening meal was chicken or beef every night with rice or pasta, the bar meals were ok and the room service was excellent.
The drinks were very expensive and worked out half the price from the supermarket, the hotel staff didn't like you bringing drinks in so had to smuggle in each night.
The fridge had to be unplugged each night as it kept us awake, and each morning at 6am they fumigated the pool side trees with a petrol blower which woke us up and despite complaining nothing was done

| said: We booked the Falcon Viva on a late deal so were not really sure what to expect, we were All Inclusive and now wish we had booked somewhere nearer to Naama Bay and gone bed and breakfast.
The food here apart from breakfast was dire, we went into Naama bay 4 times for our evening meal!
The rooms were ok, but not as clean as they could have been, some of the surfaces were a bit sticky where something had been spilled by a previous guest, and they stayed like that all our week there.
The worst thing was the smell outside our room, we were on the ground floor and did not sit outside the room at all as the smell was so bad, it smelled like blocked drains. We did report it to reception but they shrugged their shoulders at us.
The hotel is not on a beach but there was one nearby which you were taken to by shuttle.
I would say this hotel is more like a small Motel, I would not recommend the Falcon Viva.

| said: We have been All Inclusive to Egypt before so knew not to expect too much from the food.
However the Falcon Viva food was mostly the worst I have ever seen anywhere in the world, all I can say is that I wish we had gone B&B then we could have gone into Naama Bay to eat.
The rooms were fine, nothing special, just ok, pool was quite nice but freezing cold, also you had to walk to the nearest beach or pay for the hotel shuttle, there is no beach directly at the hotel. There was no free shulttle to Naama Bay. Any other hotels we have stayed at have all had a free shuttle to Naama Bay.
Because a lot of guests are B&B they seemed to get priority service at the bars, perhaps because they were paying for drinks etc.
We had great weather for the time we were there, and made the best we could of the hotel.
We will return to Sharm, but next time will pay a bit more and go to a 4 star hotel, at the most I would rate Viva as a 2 star.

| said: Generally quite clean but our room was not as clean as one would expect. Blanket was dirty not that you needed it though the towels and sheets were clean. There were stains on our toilet seat which stayed there the whole holiday. The mirror in the bathroom was cleaned but not the dressing table mirror. The tops of the cupboards in the room were not cleaned sticky to the touch. We had a problem with ants in the bathroom which was dealt with quickly.
Food was very disappointing not enough varity didn't know what half if it was especially the soup. Food and drinks from the hotel were over priced go to the supermarket much cheaper but you do need to smuggle it in. 1.5 litre bottle of water 8.00 egyptian pounds, 2.00 pounds down the road. They operate a sign and pay later system which we didn't like as when you asked for the bill it did not itemise exactly what you had only listed as beverage or food - half the time drinks were put down as food which caused confusion if you had not ordered any food from the bar.
The location was basic a few small shops lots of new hotels going up. Reef beach is great for snorkeling.
The hotel staff were very friendly but did feel this might be just for tips.
Entertainment was basic/poor and I think they need to address this issue. They didn't even have background music around the pool during the day or in the evening and if they did it was only for a short time before the CD kept jumping and was switched off.

| said: Hotel spotless and very nice looking great pool and first class rooms.
Only downside was that the hotel stopped you bringing food or drinks into your rooms and as it was only 50 to 80 pence outside the hotel for a 1.5ltr Pepsi and £4.80 in the hotel this was a downer but we still managed to get stuff smuggled into the hotel.
The hotel staffs were the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting they couldn’t do enough for you and our room cleaner Rolf was great, he would make allsorts out of our towels and bed sheets one day he had even done some of our washing that we had left in the bathroom sink.
The location of the hotel was a little bit out from the main part of Sharm but was only a £2.50 taxi ride from that area. the hotel beach is actually a reef down from a small cliff area but don’t let this put you off ,the beach was called reef beach and was accessible from a small concrete jetty over the coral that was at the bottom of some steps. The area around the beach has toilets and two restaurants and also some shops and massage and hair bedding type places.
Having been to Tiran Island and ras Mohammed I wasn’t expecting much of the beach but it was one of the highlights of my holiday. in one day alone I witnessed dolphins ,a marlin jumping out of the water thousands of fish and the highlight for me a massive manta ray this thing was the size of a small family car .on another day I saw a reef shark ,turtle and also barracuda.
All in all a good hotel if you can smuggle your own food and drink in and a very good location.

The resturant food was ok if a liitle basic, bar menu was fine but not much choice
A fair way out from the main nigthlife and there are no resturants or bars within walking distance, but taxis are cheap and there is a free bus nightly.
There was no entertainmnent as such a few dance type shows which were repeated and only took place in the dining room

The rooms were large and any problems dealt with immediately pool was large with more than enough sun bed's the second day the pool attendant knew where you liked to sit and would put towels on them.
The food was basic except for xmas when they put on a great buffet with a two hour floor show.
the saga rep was one of the best we have ever had and we have travelled the world.

| said: The hotel is kept very clean and the overall condition is good.
Grouting in bathrooms and around pool a bit poor but only what you would expect from a 3* hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Towels and sheets not the crisp white Egyptian cotton I would have expected.
The food in the hotel is average, breakfasts international but good toast, cereal and omelette's available. Very good lunch with pizza and chicken nuggets available for children. We were disappointed with the evening meal as it was much the same as the lunch menu with the addition of 2 inedible soups.
The staff are obviously very pound of the food and it is some times a little uncomfortable walking past each item and shaking your head only to reach the end of the selection and have an empty plate. But on the whole our family did not go hungry.
The staff are very, very friendly. At times a little to friendly with our petite blond 5 year old child…. Whilst ignoring our 8 year old.
But on the whole we had an excellent holiday and would visit Sharm again but to a 4* resort.

| said: Have just completed a superb two week break at this hotel and we couldn't have chosen better.
We knew we would be away from the nightlife, that there was restricted entertainment but that is just what we wanted.
The hotel was spotless, including the kitchens which my husband (as a retired Master Craftsman Chef) was given the opportunity to visit.
The variety of food on offer was excellent, bearing in mind that the hotel was catering for an international clientèle.
The staff could not have been more caring and bearing in mind it was Ramadan, we were still treated with the same courtesy despite the fact that some of the staff were fasting.
We had clean towels every day including poolside towels, the poolside was spotless with plenty of sunbeds for all, the waiting staff were second to none and the reception staff friendly and knowledgeable.
We were fortunate in that on our second week the new manager initiated a new poolside evening with entertainment while we dined. A superb show of local culture.
We were very sad to have to come home.

| said: The hotel generally on the whole was kept clean and tidy.
The bar area looked a bit "dirty" I thought.
The cleaners who did our room did an impeccable job. On our last night there were rose petals on our beds which was a really lovely gesture.
The food in the hotel is ok, when we were there they had "brainy" rice! The food is lovely and tasty, I have to say probably because they haven't heard of MSG or additives or preservatives or flavourings etc! So it was very nice. The only comment I would make is that on a Friday (I think) they have a fish night, EVERYTHING was fish based, apart from the salad and veg etc. So if you are a vegetarian or allergic to fish and the like you might want to consider eating elsewhere for that night!
I didn't think it was particularly geared up for vegetarians at all, but they are quite a new hotel so I am sure they will learn by the comments that the guests have.
The location of the hotel was fine, as someone said earlier, there is an awful lot of building work going on up Motel Street but nothing which will affect your stay.
The staff were very helpful, personally didn't have any problems with the manager, he wanted my friend to stay (he's a guy by the way)on there.
The entertainment didn't exist, apart from a belly dancer for 10 minutes whilst you ate and the massage is a poolside massage on a table, cant comment much about that as didn't have one.
I would definitely go back to this hotel even if it was just to see if the pool guy has learnt anymore rhyming slang. Ahh bless.

We found the hotel very clean and the staff extremely friendly. The location of the hotel is nice and quiet with convenient shuttle bus to both local beaches an town. we were lucky enough to find a good taxi driver outside the hotel who became our personal chauffeur and tour guide
The staff are extremely polite and friendly and very willing to help.
Looking forward to staying at Viva Sharm again next year

| said: Myself and 3 friends atayed at the Viva sharm for two weeks in July.
Firstly the hotel was very much mis- advertised in the brochure. We booked the holiday just after Christmas, in the Brochure it says there is a Gym, the gym was not even built by the time we got there. it also said that there were two restaurants when there was only 1. Regular themed evening shows.... there was absolutely no evening entertainment apart from a belly dancer for ten minutes twice a week in the restaurant.
Other then this the hotel was lovely.
The staff were very helpful and very friendly.
I found no problem with the food although people did complain that there wasnt much selection. On the second week they introduced a childrens menu with pizza, chips, burgers and chicken burgers ( which most of the adults ate as well).
I found the hotel very clean and comfortable, the rooms were spacious and cleaned every day.
The pools were nice and you could get fresh towels from the "towel Guy" everyday.
This hotel is very nice, it is three star and so you get what is needed, food, drink, a good bed.
We enjoyed our time there and met lots of lovely people... oh and if you get the chance have the coffee scrub and the massage!!!!!

On arrival the evening meal was bird tongue soup! Stuffed peppers and no alternative for children! There is no snacks but if you wish you can order them from snack bar and pay extra!!
Even all inclusive guests! Never even had any ice creams for children! We booked from Airtours 2005 brochure and the discription didnt match our hotel at all it promised 2 restuarants and there was 1!
Games room was one pool table in the bar! To name but a few differences! The management were rude although all other staff were friendly esp the chap cleaning our rooms and the pool guy!
Our rep was very un helpful even when we rang the 24hr helpline!
There was no entertainment to speak of 2 nights a week for 10 mins whilst you eat! Location was ok and this Hotel could be very nice but alot need to change first!

| said: I went to the Viva Sharm Hotel in April of this year on honeymoon and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
When staying at the Viva Sharm you are a short taxi ride to the nearest two towns Namma Bay and Old Sharm. The Hotel also runs a free bus to these areas and to many of the local beaches. A taxi will cost between 20-25 Egyptian pounds or £2-£2.50.
The hotel is very clean, the pool is beautiful and the staff are all really friendly. Many of them spent time teaching me Arabic!!!!
The food is great although if you like to drink alcohol you are better going into town all the soft drinks are free from 11AM-11PM and you can drink as much as you want if you go all inclusive.
I haven't a bad word to say about the hotel and if you are thinking about booking just do it!

Rooms cleaned to very high standard each day. Very effective air conditioning. Fridges in rooms handy for 1/2 board.
Wide range of buffet food but not much fruit. Free safety deposit boxes. No need to take towels as room towels changed each day and free beach towels from pool man.
Building work next door but no trouble as they don't have even a concrete mixer. As a veteran of Majorca in the 70s it really is no problem - more a laugh. No noise at all at night - no dogs!! Occasional niff of sewers which I tracked down not to the system but the piped water the gardeners use. Steer clear.
The biggest joy was the staff. Reception, cleaner, pool man, waiters, gardeners and Well Centre staff. Very efficient and most helpful.
Learn a few bits of Arabic and they will teach you more.
