| said: Just returned from a two week holiday staying at this hotel. E-mailed the hotel a few days before travelling to request a room in the tower block after reading other reviews. When we arrived we were given a room in the tower. All of the 3 lifts worked the whole time. The room was very spacious and cleaned every day. The staff were all friendly, polite and extremely helpful.
The location is great. Plenty of restraunts, bars and shops within walking distance (even if the gift shops are a little tacky). Wet and Wild is just across the road. A 5 minute drive to Universal or Seaworld and a 15 minute drive to Disney. Alternatively for non-drivers this hotel offers a free shuttle to Universal, Seaworld and all of the Disney parks, if booked a day in advance.
I would definately go back to this hotel and would happily recommend it

| said: the holiday inn is in the best location of international dr straight across from all the shops and resteraunts and a 300 yds walk to wet and wild which is great when you come back from the parks to chill and cool down.
the weather was fantastic for october this year as it was in the "90"s most of the time and no humidty which was great and it only rained once in the fortnight, when we came 2 years ago in july it rained 10 days in the 14 days so october was a much better time to come.
the holiday inn is a need of a revamp to the main hotel and the tower suite is getting a make over as we were there but dont let that put you off, we stayed in number 2004 at the back of the kitchen which was fine but at 6.30 every morning the noise started but wasn't to bad .
the pool area is smashing the kids can swim till 11.30pm and the adults all have a few beers before bed while watching them.
the hotel food was quite pricey compared to all over the drive only ate once for dinner asked for the vegetable omelete ,it came out couldn't see the omelete for the 2lb of processed cheese on top of it. "yuck" beware all the food everywhere is always got cheese or plastic cheese especially the pizza's.
the best place to eat for the best burgers to die for was wendys 200 yrds away..yummy and chilli's was exellent for mexican and american theme-ed.
the only thing that let the hotel down was the maids things where going missing from the room the wife was missing 2 tops ,a bangle,a ring ,my son 2 psp games, £100 cash from the locked safe and 400 cigerettes which we only knew was missing when we packed the the last day, my only advice when you keep buying and stacking all the goods keep checking them .
all in all still a good hotel to stay in

| said: We stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks in May 07, and everyone who worked in the hotel deserves several silver stars for their constant help and pleasantness. Everyone made our holiday a very special one from the cleaners, bar, restaurant, reception staff and bell boys. The all hotel grounds were very clean and well laid out. Our 2 boys were very impressed with the helpfulness of all the staff who spoke to everyone with a professional manner.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See you again Holiday Inn International Drive.

| said: Arrived late Boxing Day very tired, the room allocated was right at the back of the complex on the ground floor, by an alleyway, darkly lit.
The door showed signes of damage and felt very unsafe. We refused to stay and asked to be moved. We were given another room round the corner, up the next flight Having dragged all the bags round (and the kids) found someone else had also been moved for the same reason and given the same room.
Third time lucky got another room round the corner, same level. Room nice, clean and adequate facilities. Managed to get to sleep, then woken by security offering free vouchers for hassle caused.
Holiday Inn is in a great location, but a very large complex. Food ok. Hotel Staff ok. Transport to Disney etc for 2 dollars each was good, but had to book day in advance.
I do not feel this hotel should be 4 star, more 2/3.

When we arrived in our room it wasnt very clean and through the night we noticed a cockroach go behind a small chest of draws so we pulled it out and there was cockroaches everywere.
When we contacted reception they hesitated to move us until we said we would go to another hotel in which they then moved us to the disabled room which wasnt much cleaner than the first room but at least it didnt have any cockroaches living in it.

| said: We had previously stayed here 3 years ago and liked it so much we came back. Not so good this time.
The cleanliness was good, maids came in everyday and linen changed regularly. We stayed in D block on the 2nd floor and after a few days noticed some small bugs in the bathroom, after a week we found them in the bedroom area and even one on the mattress. We straight away complained and asked to be moved which we were to a room down the corridor which was fine.
We ate breakfast at the hotel quite alot as we thought i had a great selection and great quality, although a little bit dearer than some of the all you can eat places on I Drive (also Virgin pay for your breakfast on the 1st day).
The location of this hotel is fantastic and would be the main reason we would ever stay again. It is in the middle of I Drive near Wet & Wild and Universal and only a 5 minute drive to Seaworld and 15 minute drive to Disney.
We found the staff very friendly, most of them would smile and say hello when you passed.
Didn't really bother with the entertainment as we were too tired when we got back from the parks.
Overall the hotel is a little bit dated and the rooms starting to look old and worn but the location is fantastic with good staff and a nice breakfast. Beware the bugs, but only think its a problem on the lower floors.

| said: I think this hotel is ok it was clean and tidy the rooms were big and you had everything you need in the room i.e. iron, fridge, tv, coffee maker, and a free safe.
The rooms are cleaned every day and he beds made the hotel staff are very nice and helpful.
We did not eat in the hotel as here is so much to choose from on I drive but from what I see of it the food looked OK.
We did not take part in the entertainment as we was at the parks all day.
The pool is not as big as is looks in the book but it is big enough and it is open until 11.30pm which is great after a long day at the parks in the heat.
This hotel could not be in a better place on I drive everything is just outside your door.
I would stay at this hotel again no problem.
I can uderstand some people saying about it being a 4 star in the virgin book because it is not a 4 star hotel but that is virgin for you if you look around you cn get this hotel for much better value than Virgin.

| said: We stayed here for 2 weeks in October 2005. I had stayed at the Holiday Inn a few years before and based on this we requested a room in the tower - some of the rooms in the motel section were very noisy and after a hard days slogging in the parks you need a good nights sleep!
The room was huge if a little dated with two queen sized beds, a 3-piece suite and table and chairs. It was cleaned every day and although the bathroom was a bit shabby, everything worked. The a/c was excellent.
We didn't eat at the hotel or use any of the facilities, but as I said I was a returning customer and Priority Club card member the Reception staff gave us a card for free breakfasts and local calls.
We used this hotel as a base and I wanted to rebook as I knew exactly what to expect, but considering the price I don't really feel it was worth the extra compared to some of the other hotels in the area.
I would class it as a lower star rating than the advertised rating. I would stay here again, but purely for the location and the fact that you can guarantee a quiet room in the tower.

| said: This was our first visit to this hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was in the Tower, and was spacious (even for four girls) and cleaned every day.
The hotel run a free shuttle service to Disney, which we used all the time and found it to be excellent.
If you have a 5-park flexi ticket for the Universal/Sea World parks, you can use the free shuttle service also - as these parks are so close, we usually got taxi's back though.
We ate a few times in the hotel, and found it to be very good value for money and food very nice. On-site shop was handy too, just in case we ran out of beer etc.
The location is the hotel is fantastic, close by to shops, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, bars - everything you need on holiday.
The pool area was very nice, although to be honest we didn't spend much time there.
I wouldn't have any hesitation in using this hotel again, or recommending it to friends.

| said: Hotel is a motel, our room overlooked car park with walkway outside, people would sit outside and talk late at night and first thing in the morning.Rooms were cleaned ok but in general the hotel is a bit tacky and dated. Food was not great they advertise a deal of 'kids eat free' but there are restrictions.
Location is good close to everything, but very busy and commercilised not a relaxing environment at all. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful but seemed busy and overworked.Did not experience entertainment, bar area did not appear child friendly or very inviting.

| said: Booked this hotel on the basis that it was four stars but don't be misled it certainly isn't.
Housekeeping was poor as didn't clean the rooms till late.
Didn't eat at the hotel so can't really comment, and didn't take part in any of the entertainment but scored them low as the kids pool is so small it's unusable.
Hotel is a bit shabby, but our room in the tower was great, big and recently renovated.
Best thing about the hotel is the location, which is the only reason we would think about staying here again, unless we found a better option. It has trolly stop and lynx outside hotel and close to Belz and Universal etc etc

| said: We booked this hotel/motel mainly because I am the only member of our party that can drive and I did not want to on holiday.
The location was fantastic - 2mins walk from wet and wild, 20 max from Universal (we would walk there in the morning and get an orange taxi back 5 dollars max!). I ride trolley right outside for seaworld and free shuttles to Disney.
We had a room in the tower, they are huge with two big and comfy beds a good size table big TV with a Nintendo. The bathroom is a nice size but the shower head was too low down for my liking. The room was cleaned to a very high standard and there was no hint of a musty smell as mentioned in other reviews nor were we disturbed by noise from the i-drive or the freeway behind the hotel. Normally I am not too bothered about the state of rooms while on holiday as they are only to rest my head at night but after a busy day at the parks we liked to have a few hours relaxing with a beer (or two) before we went for a meal.
We only ever had breakfast in the hotel but I can tell you it was very nice and I am a very fussy person there were plenty of cereals and all the fare you would expect the service from the waiters were top notch as well. The bar was not to bad but we tended to go out at night so didn't use it much. there is a small games room for the kids but some of the machines were out of order.
All in all this hotel/motel is very good value for money and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone in fact we have just booked to go back in may 2007 can't wait.

| said: Where can I start, firstly we went to our hotel rooms, they were not clean, not re-furbished and a bit tacky. We asked to be moved to a nicer room but the hotel was full except for the tower block and as some of our group members were afraid of heights we didnt want to stay in there as the room was on the 11th floor.
The hotel staff said they will try and get us a room in a lower floor in the Tower block which had been re furbished and had nice rooms unlike the lower resort hotels that hadnt.
The Holiday Inn hotels I think are very nice, but the ones in the U.S arent, we also thought as it was a 4 star Virgin Holidays Flagship hotle it must be nice, we were proved wrong, the hotel itself was extremely tacky, while we stayed at the hotel they were painting the hotel a horrid green and yellow colour.
I also forgot to mention that the view from our rooms was of a massive machine that is very loud this is next to the door of the restaurant kitchen staff that come out every so often to have a cigaratte.
The hotel walls were falling apart and the cleaners trolleys were left all night outside our hotel room, god knows what kind of things could have got in their which has laundry and towels in it.
Apart from that the hotel location was absolutly fantastic, right dead bang in the middle of the I-drive everything is at your doorstep the theme parks , the buffet restaurant shops ect...
