A very nice clean hotel all the staff were helpful and friendly.

The breakfast selection was good and always fresh. Our rooms faced the front and the busy road but this did not cause any of us any problems sleeping. You wont need any towels or soap as these are provided (Dove body wash).

It took us about 20 minutes to get to the centre of Lagos and the same to the beach there is a very good super market about five minutes from the hotel. The bar is open to 1am and there is a TV lounge.

An excellent, friendly hotel, The Marina Sao Roque is spotlessly clean. Towels are changed daily and hand cream and shower gel are provided and regularly replenished.

Breakfast is buffet style with cereals ( branded ), cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts and various kinds of bread, rolls and cakes.

The hotel is situated behind the Marina which is about three minutes walk away, so bars and restaurants are nearby if you don't want to walk into town every night.

The most memorable part of the stay was the extreme friendliness of the hotel staff; nothing is too much trouble for them and you are always greeted with a smile, whether it is Manuel the owner, or the chambermaids, who have got to be the most efficient we have ever met.

Whilst there is no set entertainment at the hotel, it has a really well-stocked bar and cocktails are a speciality of Manuel who once owned the first cocktail bar in the resort.

Prices for the hotel were very reasonable but don't be put off by the reasonable charges - this is an excellent hotel and we've stayed at many a 4* hotel that hasn't matched the Sao Roque's quality.

We will certainly be returning.

We stayed here may 18-30th on a b&b basis.I booked the hotel through alpha-rooms who I have used many times in the past.

The hotel is family owned and run by manuel who works nights and runs the bar, his wife and daughter work reception during the day. They are all very friendly and efficient and nothing is any trouble.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, towels changed every day and sheets changed on alternate days.
The rooms all have a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs.

We were facing the main road behind the new marina and it could get a little noisy with traffic but only during busy times on a morning about 8am and about 7pm but it didnt bother us.

If you want a quieter room ask for one overlooking the pool at the back although they didnt get any sun on the balcony.

All rooms are air conditioned.
There is a small pool and sun bathing area with a few sunbeds and chairs and a shaded veranda. There is a also a sun terrace on the roof with a couple of beds and chairs.

Breakfast was continental with the usual juice, rolls, ham and cheese ect. But was always fresh and well presented.
we enjoyed our stay here and would go back to this lovely little hotel.
