This complex is not for those who have difficulty walking, or for those with small children. As reported there a too many steps to the appartments.
Now then.. where do i start? on arrival we where greeted by the very pleasant staff. I say this and mean it. I could not fault anyone of the hard working people of this complex.
My main gripes really are there is no air con, and at high 30 is a must. Fans could be rented for 18 euro a week. Two measely channels on tv.. CBNC and euro sport. Okay you dont go on holiday too watch tv, but the whole place closes down at 11.30ish and in the heat it is impossible to sleep. The point i am making is they have the sky dishes there, so why not let people watch the TV for free instead of charging 4 euro per day. Another moan is the sun beds!! 4.30 am and that is nearly too late to get one. Although i saw the area around the pool being cleaned, i did not see the pool itself being cleaned, and it was rather dirty. The sunbeds themselves could have done with a good scrub.
The food was random, i say this meaning fish with pasta etc. Nothing seemed to go together. Kids menu no better, and it was chips or pasta, nuggets or fritters.
Considering the amount of people in the place, one main bar was opened in the night. The entertainment started far to early for those who where on the late sitting for dinner had no chance of waching it.
I would go back to the complex if all of the above where addressed. It is not the worst place on earth. The staff are lovely, and overworked.

Oasis Golf Resort is a nice resort with good apartments and three good pools. The apartments are two stories and have a patio and a balcony and are well equipped. The downside is the location and the on-site prices. There is a supermarket with prices in the region of twice to four-times those in local supermarkets but the nearest one is a 20 minute walk down 'cardiac hill' and a 5 euro taxi ride back. It is a 40 minute walk to the bars, shops and restaurants in the centre of Los Cristianos.
The safe in our apartment was 'broken' so we had to pay 20 euros to use one in reception and we would have had to pay 4 euros a day to watch the television. There is limited and very amateurish evening entertainment.
The resort is set on the edge of a golf course but is just by the motorway and can be noisy. The area between the resort and Los Cristianos is undeveloped and resembles a large builders dumping ground and is not a pleasant area to walk through at all, especially at night. If you are prepared to stay within the resort and not move out and are prepared to pay their prices it would make for a reasonable holiday.

I have just got back from a weeks stay at oasis golf.
I went with my husband and friends.

Our apartments were very nice cleaned 5 times a week.
We had an upstairs kitchen, lounge and balcony, then downstairs was bedroom and bathroom.

It was decorated to a good standard. My only problem was there were lots of steps to get to the rooms not suitable for anybody with walking problems.

The food seemed to get better as the week went on.
We always found something to eat.

There was a pool bar where entertainment was held.
Something every night, bingo, mini disco, Abba, Elvis.
Hotel in a good location for families.

The staff were keen on getting a good responce, hotel has only been AI this year I think it will improve as time goes on.

We returned from Oasis Golf last week and we found the following:-

appt wasn't very clean, found lots of ants in the rooms, kitchen and bedrooms, only supplied with ant spray on the last few days.

The food wasn't brilliant, same food every other day. The children's meals were chicken nuggets and pizza, chips everyday!

There is only one bar pool open, we sat with our children next to the baby pool and had to walk over 300 yards to get a drink and bring it back. The selection of snacks in the day were limited. They provided only ham and cheese sandwiches in the day, no other selection.

We found and reported that two of the pools had excrement and were not cleaned immediately by the staff, one of these was the baby pool as well.

The entertainment was basic, same old things for the kids at night, mini disco was just 4 or 5 songs. The bar area at night was small for everyone in the hotel / appt.

Would not go back there.

Went to this Hotel in Nov 07 as two couples. Found the apartments to be very clean and well equiped. We were all-inclusive, but the kitchen was equiped well enough if you wanted to eat in.

Found the food to be fine. Nothing fancy but of a better standard than some other all inclusives we have been to. You cannot expect ala carte menu's on all inclusive holidays as they are catering for so many different tastes. They tried to vary the food by having theme nights too e.g. a mexican night and barbeque night.

The location is out of the centre of the Resort, but within easy reach by taxi. We walked in a few times too. Nice peaceful location.

Hotel entertainment was fine for sitting and passing a couple of hours, not professional standard, but if you are just on holiday to relax and go with the flow, it's fun. Plenty of activities throughout the day too by the pool.

I would definately visit this hotel again.

We visited this hotel mid august this year. We went all inclusive so that we could relax fully. The all inclusive was a new feature at this hotel. Breakfast was fine - quite a lot of choice and open for 2 1/2 hours. Lunch was the least good of the three meals - for vegetarians the food was great - lots of salad dishes, fresh parmasan, feta etc but for meat eaters the food was more erratic - the fish dishes were good and there was a great selection of cold meats but they were struggling to mass produce hot meat dishes successfully. Despite the negative reviews before hand saying that food was awful and limited for kids I thought it was okay and in the time we spent there we only saw chicken nuggets once!! One positive was that the hotel was very keen to improve its service and any complaint was dealt with promptly and successfully - for example queuing for drinks was solved by the installation of additional pumps. The evening meals were good - some theme nights and good choice. Overall I would say that the food was improving all the time - it was never undercooked as reported in previous reviews and it was fresh and reasonably varied.
Cleanliness - the hotel was clean with no litter. Rooms were supposed to have been cleaned for 5 days out of 7 - this was not our experience but it was not a major issue for us as we asked when we wanted it to be done and it was done. We had no complaint about the location as it was made very clear to us where the hotel was in relation to the tenerife area. The staff were fine.
The entertainment was good for children. During the day there was water polo and water aerobics and there was also a kids club. In the evening there was a disco for the children and then some adult entertainment. Personally this was not to my taste but nobody forces you to endure it - you can make your own entertainment. Although I didnt think much of it it was certainly no worse than I have had in other hotels.
I would visit this resort again. The accommodation was good - spacious and clean - if you were self-catering it would be great - good facilities - I think that this place has had bad reviews because it needs to decide what sort fo place it is - self catering accommodation or 4 star all -iclusive - once its decided on its identity it should then just go for it because potentially it has a great deal to offer for anyone. The place itself is great but do take the advice of the brochures - it is very hilly and would not be suitable for anyone with physical restrictions. This includes the insides of the apartments - stteep stairs separateing the different areas The sides of the pools are slippy, but no more so than any other pools that I have been to - young children will be perfectly safe if they are supervised properly!

after the reviews i had read about this hotel we tried to change it, im glad we wernt able to now as we had a lovely time! the hotel is lovely, its clean, the staff are friendly and hepful, and the food was not half as bad as people made out. nothing i saw or ate was undercooked, granted it could of been a little hotter but it was certianly fine to eat. There was an issue with flies in the dinner hall wich could easily be sorted out - not sure why it hasnt as im sure people will have complained.the entertainment wasnt fantastic but it was better than nothing at all - bingo night is the best it was 105 euros for a house!! our room was cleaned 5 out of 7 days and we always had clean towels and the beds were changed twice a week, ok the patio could of done with a mop but never mind. the pools were lovely, abit slippy but just use your common sense - wet feet are always slippy so dont run! we had 3 cockroaches in our bathroom but we soon realised that they were getting in the air vent wich was at floor level, so we just blocked the vent with toilet tissue - and no more were seen.Renata and Sam were both good with kids, and adults too - water polo, aerobics mini disco. Watch out for the woman from SunCare Central selling her lotions - telling people that the people with the best tans round the pool had bought her creams and thats why they were so brown - someone asked a woman what she had bought from her and she said nothing it was Tesco's own!!! All in all this hotel is very nice and as for all the rubbish that people have wrote before i can only presume they all live in mansions and have their own maids!! ha.

We have just come back from two weeks at the Oasis Golf, the hotel itself is lovely, the cleaning staff do a good job of keeping the rooms clean.

We were very disappointed with this hotel due to the entertainment purposes - THERE WAS NONE and the fact that we are miles away from anywhere!!! There was a board that told you of the daily activities, but it was never properly advertised, the aqua aerobics was to start at 12 - not once did it ever start at 12 more like 1pm when you are going in for lunch! My partner was bored stiff as there was nothing proper for the adults to get into, unless you want to do darts or pool which is more for the kids. The amount of stairs just to get to your room was terrible and thankfully we were able to get to our room without much trouble. The pool area was very slippy and there were lots of accidents, due to children jumping into the pool and the water going onto the ground. The lifeguard was good, but didn't really stop them from jumping in that much. They should really invest in some slip mats or something

After breakfast you couldn't get a drink from now where as the bars didn't open until 11am so you have to wait, although you could help yourself to drinks even the beer which i may say was never supervised properly as whilst we where there kids as young as 8 were seen drinking and acting out of control in the games room and no security on until after everything was finished, this was a waste of time as this spoilt another families last day due to kids being nasty as they were under the influence of drink.

Food was not very good, on some occasions I am sure they were trying to disguise pork as chicken, some of the food was okay but very boring and never enough selection - especially for kids - well unless they ate chicken nuggets or pizza all the time - not much change. Even lunch you couldn't even make a sandwich as they only put the cold meats on in the morning. If you like to eat your dinner with flies then this is the place to go they were everywhere and there was nothing in place to stop them flying around the food or you - it was very annoying. On some occasions they were that short staffed none of the tables got cleaned up quick enought and they were asking people to waite or go elsewhere for food!

Sun loungers and parassols were a joke as there was never enough we all went down late evening and early morning just to secure beds and parassols.

All in all the staff were friendly and helpful when they needed to be, but i would never recommened this hotel to anyone. The only good thing that came out of this holiday was meeting a lovely family.

we have just come back from a two week holiday staying at the Oasis Golf Apartments Tenerfie. After reading some of the comments I thought "Oh no - what are we going to". I have to say we were delighted with the accommodation. Our apartment was spacious and the maids came in every day to make our beds and deliver fresh towels except for Sunday but they are allowed a day off! The pool, at times, was slippy but our kids had a ball. As long as you are careful then there is no problem. The food - well, we went self catering so we ate out most of the time but I don't think we would have ate there all the time anyway even if we were all inclusive. The staff were very friendly and we all loved it.

We were self-catering at this resort and were put right at the back (over 100 steps to the apartment from the reception) they also took over 5 hours after our arrival to let us into our room and after watching several other families turn up and go straight to their rooms I was almost ready to tell Airtours to either get us somewhere else or go straight home ...

The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous and had it been closer to the beach it would have been perfect, but as other people have mentioned, the area it is in is very barren and secluded ... I don

Went here in May 06 with the family got moved to the Oasis Golf a week before we flew out, didn't know what to expect but turns out it was far better.

The pools were brill had a mini market on site loads to do there. The rooms were spacious and clean maids and staff were very friendly and always said hello.

Overall the hotel was excellent would go back to the oasis golf again. The restaurant and pool bar was a little expensive and it was a good 15 minute walk into Playa de las Americas but we didn't mind.

We had great views of the sea and into the town would recommend Oasis to anyone.

We stayed here in August for 2 weeks. We were on a self-catering basis but ate breakfast here several times, also snacks from the pool bar and used the evening restaurant. All of which was superb.

The restaurant was a buffet meal twice that we used it and an a la carte menu once. A very high standard of food on every occasion.

The hotel is situated quite a walk from the resort (approx. 25 mins) but taxis were either on the rank outside or reception would call one which would arrive very quickly. Never cost more than about 5 Euros.

The maids weren't very specific and the only time we noticed they'd been in was that the beds were made and there were clean towels. I'm not picky about this sort of thing but it would have been nice to have the floor swept!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the waitresses (who doubled up for bar staff in the day) were very smiley and good fun.

We didn't use the First Choice kid's clubs as our son is 15 (we tried but he wasn't having it!!!) but people were saying how good they were and the girls seemed to be working very hard.

There are a LOT of steps at this complex but it keeps you fit and enables you to have an extra beer without feeling too guilty.

The entertainment of an evening was a bit naff but they have a resident entertainer there who works very hard, and was a really nice man.

He organised pool tournaments some days and table tennis tournaments and then in the evening the entertainment tends to be geared towards smaller children but they all liked it. Mini disco etc.

We would definitely visit this hotel again, the rooms are a good size and the landscaping of the whole complex is lovely.

There are three pools on different levels and they are watched over by a very keen lifeguard (who my son threw in the pool one day - but he was laughing...the lifeguard that is).

There is a lot of development going on in the area (not disruptive) and I think that shortly there will be a few bars springing up in the are which will make it a better location as you won't have to keep going right into town.

They operate a no cash policy so you have an account card - watch out for this, you lose track of what you are spending.

There is a 600 Euro limit and we managed to max that in a week just on snacks and drinks!!! Took it a bit more careful the second week. You can use the hotel opposite, the Granada Park, to watch football in and this bar accepts cash.

We were worried before we travelled about the thefts that had been reported here. We didn't hear of a single one during our stay. We slept with the two patio doors open just about 4 inches to let in a bit of air, there is a bolt that allows you to lock them open just this amount.

It was very warm in the apartments as there is no air conditioning but the manager said that this is something they are hoping to install shortly.

He had only managed there for 6 months and was hosting "meet the manager" cocktail parties on Monday evenings to get guests' views... we went along and told him some things which he was very grateful for and gave us free champagne... we were only being friendly! ha ha ha

Nicest apartments we have stayed in. On a hill so quite a few steps but we got used to it. Location outside busy resorts but free bus runs from 9 - 5.30 to Americas, also taxis regularly outside at a cost of 5 Euros, peaceful late at night. Staff very helpful and friendly. Card system operated so no cash is used at all bar,in the games room which has pool tables, table tennis, arcade machines and internet access.

We occasionally ate in the hotel restaurant where the food was excellent but we did talk to some people who were on half board who apparently had a different menu.

The barbecue night organised by the hotel costs 15 euros per head and was very nice.

We enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely relaxing holiday, first time I haven't been in a hurry to get home.

We were a bit apprehensive about the hotel being a bit too much golf orientated, due to its name, but it wasn't at all. You can't even see the golf course!

It is a lovely hotel, especially the foyer with its marble floor and pine furniture.

It is about a 1km walk downhill to the bars, restaurants and beach which doesn't take long, but there is a free bus right outside the hotel about 5 times a day that is very punctual and reliable. It also picks you up later on from the same spot to bring you back.

So although a bit isolated, you don't get any noise and commotion as you would with a hotel nearer the main town.

The hotel staff all speak good English and are generally polite.

Don't expect too much from the entertainment -
it's very much Phoenix Nights.

The swimming pools are brilliant, all 3 of them. Having only 200 rooms, the pools are usually very quiet.

The apartments themselves are ace. Upstairs has the kitchen (nice and spacious, every luxury you have at home) lounge area with dining table and balcony. Downstairs has the bedroom, bathroom and balcony with sun loungers.

Linen was changed about 4 times during our week, and the apartment was cleaned ok really. Not as clean as home obviously but you've definitely seen worse!

Would recommend to families who prefer a quiet holiday, hopefully the kids' club improves nearer the main holiday weeks.

Check the weather though. We had 3 hot sunny days out of 7 in June. Don't quite think Tenerife is as sunny as the brochures and travel agents would like to make out though from what I've heard...
