| said: Just back from the Riomar and before we went wasn,t really expecting too much. Can honestly say this is a very clean hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day. Staff were always very pleasant and greeted you with a smile along with 'Hola'.
Food was okay. Choice of cheese ham etc for breakfast along with cereal, toast, croissants, juices, tea, coffee and of course the English breakfast eggs, bacon, beans, sometimes sausages and omlette.
Dinner in evening - soup, salads , pizza and a couple of choices of main meal.
pudding- yogurts, fruit, cakes and always some sort of equiv to angel delight.
Location of this hotel brill. Right on beach. Although at one end of resort a very nice stroll along promenade past bars and restaurants to the town.
W e had entertainment twice in the week we were there. I don,t think it,s the same every week.
There are no sun beds around the pool, only tables and chairs so if you have to keep eye on kids in pool I imagine this can be a bit uncomfortable all day. Sun beds in seperate terrace area behaind pool.
Sun beds on the beach cost 3.50 euros and an umbrella 3.50 euros.

| said: Forgot to add and this is probably most important. Rooms have NO air conditioning and at night are very very hot.
It pays to book sea view room but if you actually get it on arrival is another matter. The views are excellant.
If your invoice says mountain view you won,t get mountain view. New appartment buildings being built so that will be your view. No noise from builders though.I would have thought this complex should be completed by winter but mountain view it is not.
Apart from that very good 2* star hotel and we would go back agin.

| said: Just back from a fortnight at the Hotel Riomar. After reading some mixed reviews about room allocations, I was a little apprehensive, but we had no problems and got the Seaview room we booked, which was on the 2nd floor (4 floors in the hotel).
The Hotel is 2* rated, and thats probably about right. It isn't a bad hotel, and certainly not as bad as some of the reviews you might read online.
The room was big enough for us, with a small extra bed having been added for our 4 year old. The bathroom had a full bath with shower. There was no TV in the room (much to our sons' disappointment) and everything was clean and in good order.
Our main gripe would be that none of the hotel rooms ahve Air-Conditioning, and in mid-august the heat was very stifling from first thing, right through the night. We slept with the balcony door open each night. Fans could be hired from reception for 2.50 euros/day but we didn't get one.
Maid service was daily, unless you stated otherwise.
We stayed on HB basis, and the food was ok - It did get a little samey after the first week, and there was a lot of fried food. Unlike many hotels, the dress code wasn't too stict, and men aren't required to wear long trousers for the evening meals.
One thing about the dining room - on the first night, you are allocated a table, where it is intended you will sit for all your meals during your stay, and the table has your room number on it. However, the dining room (as large as it is) obviously isn't big enough to accomodate all residents at once - so there are times when you come down for dinner, and find someone else sitting at 'your' table. Then you are given a seat at someone elses table for that meal.
The Hotel has a TV room, and a games room (pool, video games, etc), and there is one Internet terminal. Outside the hotel, there was an terraced area with tables and chairs, and a small bar, but no snack bar so lunch has to be bought from elsewhere.
The swimming pool isn't massive, and could get crowded with loads of kids in the afternoon. There are no sunloungers around the pool, just tables and chairs - but there is a sun area adjacent to the pool, with free loungers for hotel guests.
The hotel is suprebly situated for the beach - literally step out of the rear gate, cross a 6ft prmenade, and your aon the beach - percet location.
During our stay, there was evening entertainment on about 3 times each week, including a 'clown show' for the kids, which was quite good.
Overall, the hotel was generally no worse than other higher rated hotels we have stayed at. It was clean, and the decor perhaps a little dated, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The main drawback if planning to stay during the hot summer months, and probably the only reason we wouldn't go back to this hotel, was the lack of Air-Conditioning to the rooms - it did become almost unbearable at times.

| said: Riomar, Santa Eulalia, Ibiza, booked this holiday one week before travelling so was a little aprehensive, what a wonderful surprise we had,
The food was very good, with a selection of meats, fish, salads, pasta etc, also there were a good selection of deserts and tons of fresh fruit, there was a chap, much to my annoyance, who filled his little shopping bag every mealtime with fruit making sure he took every grape.
Really can't fault the hotel as far as cleanliness is concerned, maids in every day, clean towels every day. suppose some things need to be updated/renewed but nothing major comes to mind, oh one thing is the door slamming, springs on the doors would be a good idea.
The staff are absolutely the nicest people I have met on holiday, so friendly and patient, when they say "hola" you can tell they mean it.
Location is excellent, right on the beach and at the quiet end of the resort, a lovely stroll along prom to the port will take about 20 mins, there is building work going on at the rear of the hotel, but the work is well advanced, we had no noise problem at all, we had a singer on just the one night, he was very good and kept us entertained.
I will definately be going back to this hotel next June

| said: Just this minute returned from the Riomar Hotel and after reading reviews off here i really did think i was going to Fawlty Towers.... How wrong was I.
There really isn't anything i can fault about this hotel
the maid service if you want it is daily, the food was fantastic and the girls in the restraunt couldnt do enough for you.
The location is second to none, you walk out of the hotel and the beach is in front of you. The resort itself is very low key and i would say the resort is for people who want a relaxing holiday and just want to laze on the beach all day.
I would definitely return to this hotel in the future and for my 2 kids to say it was really good it must be.
Anyone who books this will enjoy it.

| said: We have just arrived back from two weeks at the Riomar Hotel - it was fantastic. Ignore the negative feedback from other people. We could only find the one fault and this was the lack of air-conditioning in the rooms. The hotel was clean and well maintained.
The food was excellent, plenty of choice. The location was fantastic - right on the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly. We could not fault any of it. As per other comments, spend the extra money and get a room with a sea view - it really is worth the extra cost.
The entertainment was twice a week and was great. We were a party of six with ages from 11 to 73 and were all happy with the hotel and entertainment.
The Riomar is good value for money and would suit couples and most people wanting a quiet relaxed holiday with great location on the beach and the added benefit of the lovely town of Santa Eulalia on the doorstep.
We would definitely go here again.

| said: My husband and I stayed at the Riomar for 2 weeks and had a great time. We payed for a sea view after seeing the reviews on this site and what a view, we were on the 3rd floor room 336 and it was uninterrupted, we could see for miles.
The hotel definitely needs air-con as we hired a fan on our 2nd day because the room was like a furnace. The rooms are basic bit all you want from a room on holiday is to sleep and it was sufficient for that.
We had entertainment 5 times in the 2 weeks we was there and it was basic. They had a Robbie Williams tribute but he sounded more like Robin Williams, drag artists that were very close to the knuckle even though there were families there and a couple of other singers that was OK but we spent our time at the Mariners which is about a 30 second walk from the hotel it was excellent.
We also spent alot of time at the Royalty which is a bar in the square, you can just sit there and watch the world go by. The Ring 'o' Bells by the Marina is a lovely English Bar with Air con .
Mel's Diner on the front serves lovely home cooking and a visit to Daffers is a must, it is on Restaurant Row and has an Early Bird from 6.30 till 8.00 where a 3 course meal is 12.50 euros and from 8.00pm it is 15.00 euros. Wonderful food and excellent service.
We loved Santa Eulalia and will definitely be returning.

| said: The Hotel Riomar was in a prime postion 20yds from the beach. We had a sea view, and what a view, it was beautiful. I would recommend paying extra for a sea view.
Other customers without sea view were disappointed as new building works were the only view they had, the only consolation was that any building work was put on hold until out of season, so at least there was no noise.
No air conditioning in the Hotel, our room was fine, opened the doors and we did not get the evening sun,This was another problem with non sea view rooms, they became extremely hot at night.
The Hotel was very clean and towels changed every day.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, we had the most cheerful cleaner I have ever meet, singing all the time always had a smile.
Food average, but could always find something to eat, and there was a good variety salads, meats, soup, main courses, sweets and fruit. Breakfast was meats, toast, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, cake, jams and fruit.
The only thing I found strange was there were no sun lougers round the pool only chairs and tables, the sun loungers were in a seperate area to the side of the pool in a sunken area.
The entertainment was one night a week, but we went out most nights. The only night we saw the hotel entertainment it was diabolical, very tacky drag artists,I am not a prude, but it was not appropriate for a family hotel.
A number of people returned to the Riomar each year, and I an understand why, Pleasant Hotel.
Great Location and Lovely resort.

| said: We have just returned from one weeks holiday at the hotel riomar in Santa Euealia.
The hotel is excellent value for money.ok, the rooms are a bit basic and the food choice was limited but the whole hotel was spotlessly clean, the food was totally edible and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We would have no reservations about staying there again as the location was perfect. on a repeat visit we would pay the extra for a sea view as the balconies were nice and big and the view gorgeous.even tho our room was on the back we overlooked the hills so it was still very nice tho the balcony was very small.
The only downside was the lack of evening entertainment at the hotel (only one night per week). an ideal hotel for couples.

| said: The hotel is well situated to the beach only 20 yards away. It is a fair walk into town, to get to the bus station and a fair walk to the ferry boats. It was hot whilst we were there and altough the rooms are very clean they are in need of a really good upgrade.
We were situated at the front of the hotel (mountain view), there is no air con and no air in the room at all, (it gets the afternoon/evening sun) consequently you need to leave the window open and the curtains ajar to try to get some air in.
The road although a residential one is noisey with kids up and down on motorbikes and the binmen at 4.00am every morning. The food was fine lots of salad, 2 choices of potatoes, fish and a choice of meats most nights. The entertainment was poor, a singer one week and a drag act another.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and with an upgrade on the rooms it could be winning awards again like it has in the past.

| said: Room cleaned everyday, hotel very clean. Ordinary, basic hotel food, but you will always find a decent meal. Same as all hotels the food gets boring after a fortnight.
Excellent location, only a footpath between the hotel and the beach. All hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
Entertainment only two nights out of our fortnight.
Rooms are very basic with no television but they are spotless.
