| said: The Parot apartments have become our second home and we can't wait to visit again this year. The rooms are big - great for a "back to mine" session after clubbing.
Our main reason for visiting is the total lack of facilities and contact with other holiday makers. We usually book a taxi from the airport so that we can arrive alone - and check in could not be quicker - just get your keys from the cabinet drawer in the lobby! From there on we rarely encounter other visitors - no noisy evening entertainment - no kids making a racket by the pool and no drunken holidaymakers at the bar!
I believe the holiday rep visits occasionally but we've never been bothered by her/him. The hotel manager visits most mornings and though English has married an Ibizan and has lived there for many years. She is a mine of local info and we have relied on her every year to discover something new about the island.
If you want an independent holiday with no tour bus or holiday reps in sight, in a clean spacious apartment with no noise or bothers from the other rooms or the pool or the bar downstairs then I would highly recommend the Parot apartments.

We arrived at the apartments at around midnight. My partner and I were the only two people that got off a packed coach, which made me wonder why straight away!
Looking at the apartments from the outside on the main road we could see a dusty abandoned restaurant on the ground and first floor where the windows hadn't been cleaned for what looked like months. It was obvious the restaurant hadn’t been used for some time as chairs were all stacked up and it looked a bit shoddy.
Getting into our apartment we were pleasantly surprised. The apartments are very spacious, clean and tidy with a balcony in the lounge and bedroom, so that made up for the shaky start. They were exactly what we expected them to be like. The rooms were very basic and geared up for us to eat and sleep there.
The views on the balconies were of other buildings and shops around the apartments and of course the main road!
The cleaner came three times in the week we stayed there and she did a very good job of keeping everything clean. I don't think it was in her remit to clean the abandoned restaurant though.
The hotel had only one woman that worked on the make shift reception desk in the tiny lobby. She was there from 10.30am to around 11.30am daily.
Being nosey I popped my head around the corner of the lobby into what used to be the restaurant area. In the ceiling were 2 huge gaping holes and a mess below them like the ceiling had collapsed or something of that nature.
The main aspect of these apartments that totally ruined our holiday was the excessive noise, day and night. The main road and side roads always had traffic on them, which included lorries, vans, cars, loud screeching mopeds and motorbikes 24/7.
You could close the patio doors if you wanted to lessen the noise, but then the temperature inside the apartments would climb to an unbearable level so the doors had to be kept open through the night.
Then there was the building work to contend with. A shop was being fitted out right next to the apartments less the 20 meters across the way. Work began at 7am every morning with hammering, banging and our personal favourite, the circular saw slicing through wood with an almost ear piercing consistent scream!
It wasn't used occasionally; it was used all the time until 9pm every day!!!
So needless to say, we had no sleep all week and were walking around in a daze for the most part of the holiday. We couldn't wait to get home.

| said: I booked up for this hotel last minute and got it really cheap. I then started to worry as I could not find any photos of these apartments anywhere and no reviews. I was really worried the whole time until I got there.
When we got of the bus there was no one to greet us at the apartments as there is no reception area, the keys were left in a drawer with our names on it, this might be worrying to some but it did not bother us.
Once we got to our apartments we could not believe the size of them, they were massive, bigger than out flat back home. It had a massive lounge with dining table and sofa bed, a massive kitchen, bathroom with shower and a massive bed room, we also had 2 balconies one you could walk out on to from the bed room and one from the lounge.
There is a holiday rep that came to the hotel 3 times a week and a receptionist that sat in the little resting are as you come into the apartments.
Our room faced along a nice little street with clothes shops and super markets and right behind our apartment was a street full various types of restaurants.
The only down side to where the apartment was is there is a church and its bell goes off every night at 7pm and if you are like me and my partner we liked to have a little sleep before going out it used to wake us up and it really started to annoy us by the time it was to go home.
The beach is only a 5 min walk from the apartments which is good as there is no swimming pool at the apartments and the harbour is just down the road where you can get lots of boat trips to the other resort.
The resort is not very lively for youngsters so we found ourselves bored a lot of the time but if I was to want a nice relaxing holiday I would def go back to these apartments.
