| said: Position was 10 mins walk to the main drag in Es Cana. Adjacent to Cala Nova beach which was cleaner and windier than the main Es Cana beach which had seaweed and murky water.
Rooms were OK for 3 stars but a third of rooms have connecting doors thus noisy, not good for most people. Servicing was just about OK. Some rooms on lower floors, are close to noisy aircon units and service entrances (noisy from around 06:30) and a staff late night gossip club various times beween 01:00-05:00(back left hand corner).
Food overall pretty awful for a 3 star. Breakfast was OK with a reasonable choice of stuff, apart from almost raw bacon. Evening meals were worst, those white greasy things in the corner variously described as chips/roast/devilled/boiled potatoes. On several occasions meat was barely cooked at all, even chicken. The salad stuff was OK (but how much skill is needed to cut up veg ....), all very 1 star, but you are paying for 3 Stars.
Restaurant tended to empty from around 20:00, drinks were from a separate desk, so no long wait for service. Table free/occupied tabs were useful, saved confusion.
There was an outside area to the restaurant which was much quieter, getting away from the 'canteen' atmosphere of the inside area. Unfortunately smokers tended to gather here as well.
Those restaurants that were tried in the resort seemed much better, as were other hotels in the resort, from previous experience, and they were closer to the centre.
Drinks were expensive and staff a miserable lot.
The swimming pool area was rather cramped, crowded, dominated with noisy kids at least in August. The usual early morning 'invisible' sunbed reserve pilots ever present - still just remove the towels and use.
Evening Entertainment was absolute rubbish, just go to other places in Es Cana there was plenty of choice.

| said: The Hotel Cala Nova is a great Hotel for a relaxing holiday. You cannot fault it for its cleanliness, Staff and Food. All staff are very freindly, talk to them and they will talk back! The food is of good quality, varied and well presented. Yes you may get fed up after 2 weeks of 3 platefuls of food, but your on holiday! Quiet Location but the town is a few minutes walk away if want some action. Now he only downside of our 2 weeks. We took the inclusive drinks option. Great value!! 14 Euro a day p/p. We worked it out we would have spent the total after about 8 days.
A round for 5 would cost about 18-20 Euros. But!!
we felt then compelled to stay in the hotel at night to "get our moneys worth" then having to endure the excuse for entertainment every night!! The Entertainment staff do their best with what they have.(please do not push John in the pool, he's getting fed up with it) The 2 weeks consisted of half "professional acts" not very good and half make the entertainment up for yourselves. ie, Karaoke, Boogie night, (which never happened... twice)! Mr Cala nova etc. etc. You may enjoy that but you would expect better for the money.
Make up your own mind, its still a great hotel.

Food is superb, only thing I could fault it on is no English bacon at breakfast but the Lady freshly frying eggs on request - even omlettes made up for that and the choice on an evening was outstanding.
Pool is a bit dated but there are plenty of sunloungers and it's right next to magnificent beach.
Entertainment is usual fayre - hit and miss but you can chill in the Hotel bar, on the terrace or a 10 minute walk takes you into town where there are quite a few nice bars - The head Rep Sebastian deserves a special mention, absolutely fantastic with the kids and a really friendly, funny guy.

Food is excellent and a great variety in a very spacious restaurant with a lovely outdoor area which was a very relaxing place to eat Buffet style help your self where you could eat as much as you like and go back as many times also.
pool area is a bit small but plenty of sunbeds but they were the type you cant alter (this would make it a lot better if the adjustable type were available)
pool is very deep abot 5ft at hte shallowest to abot 8ft = at the deepest no good for as non swimmer but the excellent cala nova beach is only 50 yards away very clean and clear water with lifeguards etc and a superb beach bar a+
rooms average size but goood air conditioning fan etc good maid service atc
all in all very good hotel about 400 yards to the shops bars etc and about a mile to the hippy market on wednesday well worth a visit

Our room was nice and clean but the walls were very thin, you could hear the couple next door arguing every night, every word. as for food there was a large choice but the quality was only so-so. Entertainment was not up to much but the staff tried their best. we sometimes sat in the lounge bar in the evening which is large and nicely furnished, but it was absolutely dead in there, nothing going on at all and only two or three people in there. some kind of entertainment is badly needed for this bar.Holiday overall was ok but would not go to this hotel again.

The rooms were cleaned daily (fantastic for us Mums as no bed making etc)! The food had plenty of choice with show cooking, friendly helpful staff and lots of choice. The location was ideal for us as you can easily walk into Es Cana for a more lively nightlife and return when you want peace. The entertainment wasn't so good but in hotels thats usually the case although they were very enthuiastic! My tip definately take the all inclusive drinks option.

| said: My family and I have just returned from a week in the Cala Nova. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, ceiling fan and television and a drop dead gorgeous view from the very generous balcony which overlooked both bays and the lovely swimming pool.
The hotel itself was exceptionaly clean in all areas including the outside, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, as for the food! well I think we all came back heavier than when we left. The choice and the quality was amazing, but this didn't suprise us as we have yet to be let down by Fiesta hotels catering.
The hotel entertainment was good but not great, the location was excellent, 50 metres from the cala Nova beach and five minutes walk from Es Cana shops and bars.
We enjoyed this holiday so much we will be going back for ten days in October, if you have booked this hotel you won't be disappointed, we have been to Ibiza 11 times so far and enjoyed every holiday, but to be honest this has probaly been the best one in terms of value for money, food and location.

| said: The hotel was very clean, no problems to say it was the last week of the season, everyone raves about the food in other reviews, there is nothing wrong with it, but to put things into perspective, the El Paso in the Costa Dorada and the Sol s'Argamassa in Ibiza, wipes the floor with it these are both 4 star, and you can tell the difference by a mile.
It was the last week of season so you can't compare with high season I know. The staff were lovely without exception.
The location is fine for a young family, but be careful if people have difficulty walking in your party as it is 10-15 Min's walk into town.
The entertainment was the best efforts of the team and the participating audience and I dont mind admitting that my husband wiped-out out the competition with his rendition of Angels(Robbie)during the karaoke.

Food was fantastic freshly cooked breakfasts and the evening meals there is plenty of choice so you will not go hungry here, infact you may gain a couple of pounds theres so much choice,
Dining room light and airy, outside area if you wanted to eat al fresco, the rooms were spotless fresh towels and bed linen no worries there.
The main lounge needs a bit of updating the large pillars are somewhat of a problem if the night entertainment has to take place indoors as you can't see the stage very well (nevermind).Drinks are a bit pricey so the wristband is a very good idea at the hotel. Also a bit of a squeeze around the pool although we preferred the Cala Nova beach (fantastic has a great taverna).

| said: Have to say I agree with most of the reviews.
Food was excellent, problem was at the end of a fortnight you wanted a change! Plenty of food and of a high quality. Location was excellent, though for the elderly the 10/15 minute walk into Es Cana may be taxing!
Staff were fine, all pleasant and accomodating. Following average reviews on the entertainment I have to say I think the effort put in by the team was second to none. We are not great ones for entertainment however, it certainly was not the worst I had ever seen.
Only concern was that on arrival we were allocated a room on the first floor (127) which overlooked the air conditioning over the dining room. We immediately complained and was told if we came back in two days they would change our room. They were true to their word and gave us a magnificent room for the remainding 12 days of our holiday.
Weather was average and two reports whilst we were on holiday of a small octopus in the nearby sea and some people on the beach being stung by jelly fish in the sea.
Definately would go back- No doubt!!!

| said: Rooms - clean modern, spacious, plenty of storage, A/C and ceiling fan so cool, no gripes at all.
Reception OK.
Lounge area - Terrible, like a morgue, no music, no entertainment and closed at 01:30 irrespective of whether there were any clients there. By closed I means lights off and goodnight !
Pool area - OK but way too small for the amount of people, as I refuse to join the 08:00 sunbed claimers I never once managed to get a sunbed. I'd estimate about 100 sunbeds around the pool and with 305 rooms each with at least two people it doesn't take much to work out it won't add up.
Every day spent on the very nice beach but this involved extra cost for sunbeds and parasols 3 euro each bed and shade.
Food - Gorgeous, never had a night where there wasn't at least three dishes I could have chosen, buffet service so no limits.
Location - a fair 15-20 minutes into town so not for the elderly also its a very barren walk, IE nothing at all between the hotel and the town. Taxis hard to get hold of, they don't answer the phone and when they do they don't like the relatively short trips from hotel to town, we had two elderly relatives and they often had an hours wait despite the promise that "its on the way"
Staff - Restaurant Excellent, Room Service - excellent, bar staff miserable, reception OK
Entertainment - don't even get me started here, twice a week the 'entertainment' was a video played on a big screen. The rest of the time, childish, amateurish rubbish, just go out and save yourself the hassle.

| said: Returned from our 3rd visit to the cala nova, once again fantastic. its amazing how the staff at this hotel remember you from one year to the next.
room was cleaned daily, towels changed when i remembered to put them in the bath; not a major issue for me as i take my own bath towel, the hotel ones don't cover me enough! bed was so comfy, fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow every night. more than enough room in the wardrobes with more than enough hangers.
reception were very good, very quick service. food was lovely as we have come to expect of fiesta, especially enjoyed the chicken curry from the pool bar. took the all inclusive drinks option 12.94e per day. one round for the 4 of us was between 10-12e, even when we were on soft drinks. glad to see they now give large soft drinks, previously it was always small cups which meant you were up and down every 5 minutes for more drinks.
the entertainment has improved a lot since our last visit, paco the head entertainer is a really great guy, he says he's a spanish sunderland supporter, bless!
already booked back up for next summer, going direct with hotel and saving enough to pay for our all inclusive with the money we're saving!!!!
hope everyone enjoys their holidays to the cala nova.

| said: We have just returned from staying at the Cala Nova for 10 nights. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would probably book again.
The food at this hotel is amazing. I would say that even if you have a fairly fussy diet you would still be able to find plenty to eat at the buffet. We found the menu also varied quite a lot over several nights ie. the same offerings diden't appear too regularly. The show cooking was great especially for breakfast as ommelettes and eggs were cooked to perfection on the spot. We took out the all inclusive drinks option as well and found that excellent value for money. It was brill not having to worry about carrying Euros everywhere, and my wife assures me I definately got my moneys worth!
One gripe I would have is about the rooms, although I think this may be more our neighbours fault than the hotels. We did have a fantastic view of Cala Nova bay from our balcony however some very excitable people next door made it difficult for us to sleep well at night. This was in part due to the fact that we had been allocated a room with an adjoning door (locked) to next door (making the walls even thinner). On asking at reception we didn't get a chance to move, although the fantastic sea view did make up for the noisy neighbours. The room cleanliness was good.
During the course of our stay the weather had been a bit iffy so all the entertainment had to take place indoors. From speaking to previous guests I think it moves outside when the weather can be completly depended on. This was not good as the pillars in the main hall block any sort of decent view of the stage, unless you wolf your dinner down and get in early for the front seats. The quality of the entertainment was mixed. All the entertainment staff did try their best though.
We found the location of the hotel quite good as after your bellybuster dinner the short stroll into Es Cana did really help. It was also close enough to the resort to venture further afield than the hotel snack bar for a lite bite during the day.
The only other negative comment I would have and its just because we travelled as a couple in our thirtys is that most people when we were there seemed to be older or with families. We still met a lot of really lovely people.

| said: This is an excellent Hotel!!! The Staff are very friendly. The best part of this Hotel is probably the food!!! The restaurant, as has most of the hotel been refurbished recently. The food quality is very good, well presented and choice is enormous!!
Definatly go for the drinks option, it's only 13 Euro's per person a day (a pint of beer would cost you 3 Euro's) so its great value.
Drinks are included in the restaurant too! Every time we asked for a Glass of Red and White wine and were given a bottle of each! Pool area is ok but probably a little crowded in the summer months. Snacks a quite reasonable but go to the campsite shop next to the hotel and they are a lot cheaper.
There is a small beach next to the hotel which makes a change from the pool but you do have to pay for the sunbeds!! As with most reports we have to say the entertainment is a little poor. Maybe because it was the end of the season but it wasn't that good but the team do work quite hard.
All in all we had a good time and would definatly recommend this hotel.

| said: This hotel is sold as 4 star by thomson but locally is 3 star - think this must be for the food... it was excellent - chefs cooking fresh food at breakfast and dinner. They put a green card on the tables in the dining room, and when you claim a table you turn it over to occupied which is a really good idea. They do not serve drinks at the tables you have to go to the resturant bar yourself.
The room we were given was refurbished and was very nice but quite small, it was room 208 - if you are offered this one refuse. It overlooked the carpark and woods - if you lean out over the balcony you can see the sea. It was right over the recycling bins, which are empted every morning including Sunday at 6am ! We did ask to move but the hotel was full until Wednesday, so didn't bother. You also hear all the coaches and cars coming and going.
The location isn't too bad - although it is a little dark thru the woods in an evening. If you don't fancy the walk up the hill into the centre , take the short cut - just cross the road at the top and go down the side of the hotels and you can walk along a flat beachfront path - takes about 5 to 10 minutes off the walk.
Entertainment was terrible.. don't bother. go out to the Panarama on the harbour - great entertainment there.
There seem to be a shortage of bar staff only 2 on at peak times, and 1 early in the day, and were very very slow. Many nights we gave up trying to get served and went out.

The public areas, pool and bars were also very well maintained.
The food was absolutely superb. Loads of choices for breakfast and dinner. You will put on weight!!!
The location of hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk into main resort and beach, there is a beach near by but the sea was very rough at times (even people surfing) and if you had young children it would be best to go to main beach.
The all inclusive drinks option is very good for 12 euros a day, sounds a lot but covers all drinks all day and in the restaurant as well. The beer/spirits were almost 3 euros, coke 1.50, so soon adds up.
The entertainment was quite poor in the evenings rotating between animation team and outside acts. The daytime stuff was ok normal water-polo, boules, darts and pistol shooting etc.
The only gripe I had was the noise, especially late at night with people shouting, screaming and running up and down the corridors. Including the now normal drunken teenage fight and throwing up session.

| said: What a brilliant hotel. This was our fourth year in a row at the Cala Nova. What can I say?
To start with, the food is always great with lots of choice, also friendly ,smiley staff.
The facilities are excellent. Lovely large pool and super kiddies pool with plenty of sunbathing space and loungers or chairs.
The rooms are always clean along with the bedding and towels.
The hotel is in quite a quiet spot, overlooking the sea which gives a welcome cooling breeze if very hot. Just out of the car park is a handy supermarket which is excellent and sells everything you could think of. They do some lovely baguettes at lunchtime which is very popular and are very reasonably priced. A ten minute stroll will take you into the centre of Es Cana where you will find plenty of bars and restaurants and of course shops. There is also a small kiddies funfair at night which will keep them amused.
The entertainment at this hotel is fine. Natalie the children's entertainer is brilliant with the children, keeping them amused with games and activities and a mini-disco in the evening. She is a natural with the kids. There are also shows aimed at the adults/families later on in the evening.
This is an absolutely fabulous hotel. Guess what? We have just booked up again for 2006. If you do choose this hotel, have a great time. We always do!!

The food was fantastic you can find something even for everyone at he buffet type evening meal. The drinks package at 13 euros per person per day is excellent value even though we went out into Es Cana a lot of evenings.
The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but we met a great group of people in the hotel and enjoyed our evenings by the bar.
The air con in the rooms was great it would have been unbearable at night with out it.
Many people we spoke to were visiting the Cala Nova for the 2nd, 3rd or more time.
An all round great holiday, we have just booked again for next year.

Staff very friendly, through out the hotel.
Entertainment was great for both adults and children.
Pool area kept very clean along with the rest of the hotel grounds. Hotel right on a lovely sandy beach, which also had a small shop that you could buy sandwiches from for lunch.
Would recommend upgrading to All Inclusive Drinks, a real bargain.
Really fantastic holiday and would return again.

| said: This was our fist time at the Fiesta Cala Nova and it certainly lived up to the reviews previously published on here.
The hotel was spotless with the cleaners at work throughout the day. Our sheets were changed once during our 7-day stay and our towels changed regularly. The public areas round the hotel were hosed down most mornings.
The hotel is situated amongst the Pine trees about 10/15 minutes walk from the centre of Es Cana. The beach is right on your doorstep and the views from our fifth floor room were amazing. During the day you have the choice of a bar by the pool or for the slightly more adventurous there are three beach bars within 5/10 minutes leisurely stroll along the beach. A word of warning. There were reports of a few attempted bag snatches the week before and during our stay and some arrests were made. To be on the safe side avoid the short cuts through the Pine trees when venturing out into Es Cana after dark.
Didn’t really have an opportunity to get to know the staff that well but those we came into contact with in the dining room and bar were both pleasant and helpful.
Whilst it didn’t always follow the published menu, it was the last week of the season after all, the choice and quality of the food was outstanding. There was so much to choose from and the presentation so good that despite the best intentions and to the detriment of the waistline, there was always the temptation to go back and try a bit of something else. As one guest commented ‘if you cant find something you like, there must be something wrong with you.’
It was the last week of the season and quality entertainment hard to find. We spent some evenings in the bars in Es Cana. What acts we did see in the hotel were very average but the resident team worked hard and the regular crowd who stayed in the hotel in the evenings seemed to enjoy what was on offer.
Would have no hesitation in going back to this hotel again.

Hotel has been re-furbished. We stayed in room 535 which had a lovely sea view. Need to be on at least 3rd floor to get a good view.
Daytime entertainment excellent, something going on all day. However it wasn't obtrusive if you choose not to join in. Entertainment team friendly and helpful, especially Martin and Fay. Evening entertainmet average, but plently of bars within walking distance.
Food choice and quality was excellant. Bar staff were friendly especially head bar man Gonzalo!
Met many people who were on the 6th or 7th visit (honest) to this hotel which speaks for itself.
Location couldn't be better, small beach within two minutes walk and town centre about 10 - 15 minutes walk.
We all had a great holiday, and would definately book to go back again.

| said: Me and my friend stayed at the the Cala Nova for the second time this year after a wicked stay there last year.
The actual hotel and rooms are very clean, tidy and freshly refurbished. You have the option of getting your room cleaned everyday by the maids(we did!2 18 year old girls' room doesnt stay tidy for long!). I cannot fault any of the facilities in the hotel at all. The swimmingpool is amazing,i opted for the kiddies pool most of the time tho!
The hotel food is fantastic! With so much choice of such wonderful fresh food everynight everyone is bound to put on a pounds! If you are self catering then there is a variety of different restaurants nearby.
The hotel's location is perfect too. it stands away from the bars and restaurnts so it is quiet in the evening but it is also a short walking distance from the life outside of the hotel. The hotel also joins onto a quiet clean beach with sunloungers and umbrellas if you prefer the beach to the pool and also the main es cana beach is only about a 3 minute walk away,so you are spoilt for choice!
The staff here are lovely a few we knew from last year so it was easy to get along with them and they help with any queries that you have,eg.travelling to the nearby towns like San Antonio,Santa Eulalia,Ibiza town etc. A few of the staff even came out with us for the night. i would like to wish the entertainers Faye, Martin and TONY the best of luck with the rest of the holiday season!
We didnt stay in the hotel much for the evening entertainment as most of it was more family orientated (except for the Club Cala Nova- downstairs) but what we did see looked good. There is plenty of day time entertainment by the pool with activites everday such as water aerobics, rifle shooting, pool, water polo, mini golf, french boules etc. etc. there is too many to list. if you have kids there is also a kids club so you can get have a bit of quiet time without them,a couple of the entertainers take them and do painting and other activites like going for a trip down to the beach making sand-castles and eating ice-cream!
For couples and families without young children i would recommend visiting Charlie's bar on the beach front.the entertainment in here is suitable for children under the age of 16 before midnight but after midnight it is only suitable for anyone over this age. I would strongly recommend sticking around for the famous 'Ben's Half Hour' this is usually at about half 12.If you are up for a laugh and a few drinking games then you should definately volunteer!!! Other bars i would recommend are the Bull bar and Murphy's,all of the drinks here are pretty cheap and there is always loads of offers to make sure that you leave every night 'legless'!!!
I hae already visited this hotel twice and i would definately visit again and again. if you choose to stay in this hotel you are guaranteed to have a lovely time whatever age you are and whether you want a lively or relaxing holiday!

| said: This holiday was so good! we went in a group 25 and all thought the hotel was excellent. There was lots of things for children and adults to do and many places to go. The club in the hotel was good on a night.
The only bad thing over the whole holiday was the thin walls.
The beach was clean and quiet and The sea was clear.
We would definatly come back to this hotel.
Overall we would rate it 10/10.
the best holiday ever!

| said: This hotel has just been refurbished and the rooms are of a very high standard - hairdryers and tvs in all rooms. Some rooms have a connecting door and this can be noisy if a family/teenagers is next door. Food - excellent. Staff very helpful and always with a smile. We took drinks package at £9 per person per day - great value if having a relaxing holiday in and around hotel. Entertainment was quite poor - 1/2 good acts in 14 nights. Mostly the hotel reps - children and older people seemed to enjoy. Great views from room and sandy beach just outside of hotel grounds.

| said: My better half and I had a wonderful time at this place a mixture of German and Brits, I must say the Germans were very sociable here and mixed well.
We had a room which overlooked the pool and the small beach which was wonderful, watching the surfers here was great, slightly frightening when they got near rock but all the more fun for us watching. Maids very efficient and friendly.
Don't expect to go here on a diet, you have not a hope! you name it they had it great variety never the same twice.
Staff very friendly especially Vitorio the Entertainment guy who was from Uraguy got every one involved.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone old, young, famlies.
