Given room at front of hotel overlooking late night bar 3.30am disco and back of shops but could see the sea in distance.
Room clean but kitchen was 2 rings an a sink hidden in cupboard to which doors did not open fully situated in hall which made it dark and dangerous for anyone coming out of loo.
Swimming pool surrounded by screaming children lilos infatables etc couldn't use it unless you wanted to be hit by ball or other objects thrown by kids.
Only ventured bar once (yes there is only one) during kids disco again children running round all over the place very dangerous.
Mums and dads seem content to let kids do what they liked they played in lifts banged doors in corridors til all hours as a couple we would have appreciated somewhere to go to get away from them the weather wasn't kind so when we couldn't get out we spent hours in our room.
Es cana is lovely and we had a great time in spite of everything but would only recommend this hotel if you have children who will absolutely love it they can do what they like with no restrictions it seems.

We arrived at the hotel expecting a 3* half decent hotel. We soon discovered we were accommodated in the funny farm.
The staff seemed to get pleasure from requesting us to expose our most intimate parts, and half of the other guest appeared to be high on illegal substances and seemed determined to find an off license at unusual hours in the morning for cigarette papers.
For the majority of our stay the swimming pool was closed due to guests mistaking this for the toilet, although why this was necessary remains a mystery, especially as nobody seemed to eat the slop served at meal times.
Our hair did not need drying due to us obtaining a new hairstyle on plugging in our hairdryer, which the staff resolved by sending a gardener to fix the faulty socket.
I would not recommend this hotel to the faint hearted, however for a cheap holiday where you enjoy moaning and complaining as part of your daily routine then give it a try.
This was a once in a life time experience and we would suggest the closure of this building to prevent any further misery being inflicted on unsuspecting holiday makers. X

The hotel itself was very shabby, on first entering our room I told my husband that I could not possibly stay there. Although I must admit that the room and the whole of the hotel was spotless clean!! The cleaners never seemed to stop working. The food was ok - nothing special, the entertainment was quite good (the kids enjoyed it anyway) Es cana is a great place for families and I much prefered this resort to san antonio!! although the hotel could have been better we made the most of what we had and we had a brilliant holiday.
