Excellent standard of cleanliness, boys who cleaned were efficient, polite and trustworthy.

Food was not too bad, although a bit pricey compared with outside the hotel.

Pool area was lovely, good size pool and adequate numbers of sunbeds, umbrellas, and towels were provided. Landscaped gardens were very nice. However we were very disappointed in the location of the Hotel as it was quite isolated and unless you had your own transport (we had a scooter) there was nowhere to walk out to.

Pool boys, cleaning staff, waiters and bell boys excellent, friendly, efficient and polite. Reception staff were rather surly and unhelpful, except for one young girl towards the end of our stay. Unhelpful management.

No atmosphere in the evenings, little in the way of entertainment.

We wouldn't visit this hotel again although we will visit Goa again. We did get the feeling that Thomson and the other British tour operators were given the worst rooms, and although I requested on several occasions via email prior to our stay for an upstairs room due to a phobia of crawling insects etc. W were not accommodated and our wishes were completely ignored, however it did seem that other nationalities were given the "choice" rooms with the views.

We have been to Goa 14 times, and my daughter chose the Sonesta, our room was fantastic kitchen, massive bedroom and bathroom.

The staff were very good and friendly, with the exception of one on reception. The rooms boys couldn't do enough for us, clean sheets and towels everyday folded every-way you can think of.

The location was great for us near Candolim and calangute. The pool was very busy by 9am there were no beds left, but we used the beach.

My daughter and husband room was next to the gym and they had to complain about the noise with guests using it before 7 am but then it was kept locked till 8am.

Overall it is a fantastic hotel and will be returning.

Glad we picked this resort. Has to be one of the best value for money in Goa. Have stayed at plenty of resorts with higher star ratings - Sonnesta matches the best.

Food was good if somewhat pricey. Perhaps a more varied menu would not go amiss.

Location has to be perfect - not too far from the parties further north if that's what you want. Yet, the beach is just a short stroll away through the resport gardens if all you want is to dream on the sands.

All staff polite, courteous, efficient. Housekeeping were especially patient at waiting on when we were ready for them to service our room.

Felt sorry for the resort who tried to lay on some theme evenings. Alas, most guests had other ideas so the evenings appeared too quiet. Feel that the resport has plenty to offer (inc good gym, pool table, pool etc) to allow guests to pick their own preference for other ways to amuse themselves.

We have now been to the sonesta inns three times and are about to book our fourth visit for next year. I love this hotel and the staff are all great and very helpful.

They can never do enough for you. This is i think the best hotel in North Goa by far... We've been to Goa quite a few times now as have many of our friends and family...

All of them have said that Sonesta Inns is the nicest they have stayed in there. If your umm-ing and arr-ing GO!! You won't regret it!!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Sonesta Inns. What can I say, brilliant hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. As this is a small hotel the staff were on first name terms with the guests within a few hours of arrival, they could not do enough for you.

The linen and towels in your room are changed on a daily basis.

The pool attendant was brilliant, you only had to walk up to a sunbed and a towel and umbrella appeared.

I could not recommend this hotel enough and they have many guests returning year after year.

Breakfast was taken either in the restaurant or sitting in the lawned grounds, again service was excellent.

The hotel itself is situated a short walk away from the shops and restaurants and in a very peaceful location.

I would definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Goa.

We have been visiting the Sonesta for the last four years and we find it to be an excellent hotel. It has just been upgraded and the rooms are modern and well decorated. All rooms have fridges and are stocked daily.

The pool is in the centre of the hotel,it is only a small hotel with two floors and at night when all is lit up and with a drink in your hand it is paradise.

There was originally 4 of us, but every year it grows and the this year there were 14 of us from all over England, all returning every year. I can't really say more than that.

Walk through the gardens and you come out onto the beach, plenty of shacks with good food.

The hotel is down a quiet road opposite the notorious Bobs Inn,it is quiet with very few shops. There are plenty of shops and restaurants a short taxi ride away.

The hotel restaurant is ok but not used that much because of the quality of restaurants around the area. There are theme nights with good food 2 or 3 times a week.

I've been in many hotels in Goa and there is no doubt this is one of the best.

Sonesta Inns is a fantastic hotel based in Candolim. We stayed theere for 3 nights to escape our package 2* accommodation!

Large spotless apartment with double bed/bathroom and living room with sky TV (check out the bollywood films) great balcony overlooking the beautiful pool. Lots of sunbeds with the pool attendant on hand with your towel who will check that you are ok for drinks. Breakfast (eaten on the veranda or in the landscaped gardens) was good but we always got there at the last minute and there ususally wasnt much left!

The hotel had a number of security guards which patrolled the parameters of the hotel which made you feel very safe. Lunch at the hotel was very good (if not a bit pricey) in the evenings we ate at the restaurant over the road run by an Irish man called Dennis who was wonderfully accommodating and did great pizzas! He also did ice from bottled water which was an absolute luxury! We are returning like many others to Sonesta in 2 weeks.
