We arrived at club aquarium at 6 in the morning the staff were very helpful and carried our cases to our room and showed us how everything works. The pool was great, very clean (cleaned every night). Twice a day the waterslide would come on , great for the children. A game of darts was also set up for kids. The staff were fantastic, really nice and helpful, would do anything for you. And if you ever wanted to visit the sister hotel Grand aquarium you get a free shuttle bus up there, however i think the club aquarium is far better, nice and quiet, full of friendly people. Its a 10 minute walk to the reastraunts and bars, nightlife. A nice stroll though. We went self catering but we would normally grab lunch at the hotel snack bar, very nice indeed. There was a pool table,Television an much more for the children to enjoy, whilst we sat at the bar and with lots of other lovley kids there its easy for them to mke friends.

The Views from the hotel balcony are amazing.

We had a brilliant holiday and were treated very well, even as we were going home everbody came outside to wave.

I am booking to go back very soon.

just got back from 2 week stay at club aquarium. for those who are waiting to go on hols and want to know what to expect all I can say is its fab!staff lovely, very clean, clean bedding and towels every day!in a pretty location and very relaxing. Only one improvement they could make is a few more sun beds but to be quite honest some people are so inconsiderate that they put towels out on sun beds and then disappear for the day! its a good 10 min walk to restaurants but we enjoyed a stroll after doing nothing all day!definately will be going back again. its much nicer there than the Grand aquarium far more pretty and quieter.

The hotel was brilliant. It gave you everything you needed. And it was far enough away from the centre to get out of the noise but close enough to go into when you wanted to. The hotel was exceptionally clean; cleaned very well daily. oth very pleasing. I preferred the club to the grand, eventhough they were b The staff were very kind, helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.

We found the hotel to be very quiet (just as we like it) hotel staff were very good and very friendly.
micky in the pool bar was always good to talk to.

we liked the idea of pre paying on the wrist bands it ment our girls felt comfortable going and getting thier own drinks and ice creams.

we could not find fault with the hotel in any way ! rooms cleaned every day by the maids, clean towels, ect.

we would recomend it to all.

as for the larger hotel (grand aquarium) very loud till late and always very busy through the day. and the turkish night was a bit of a let down. good food good male belly dancer but the woman belly dancer gets a bit rude if you have small children.

a 15 min walk in the evening gets you down to the main resort where the choice of bars and resteronts is amazing our faverate by far was the wayside.

we stayed in the club aquarium. the room was well cleaned everyday. we were so tired on arrival that we had a meal at club, yet again it was perfect.the location is spot on, peaceful yet within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops. the hotel staff are perfect, cant fault them at all. mehmet is great. the entertainment comes from mekin when he dances to tarkans simarik and dj caspers cha cha slide.we would definitely go again. up to now we have been twice this year, within seven weeks of each other.

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were kept in reception for 40 minutes filling in forms and being given rules regs etc.

When we got to our apartment it was very small ,dirty and very shabby, the chairs were badly stained and torn. More fitting for the local council refuse tip.The bathroom was a disgrace dirty floor & shower doors full of mould. Maids came daily but apart from making beds and changing towels didn't even sweep floor.

The hotel was very noisy at night. We could also hear every sound from the people above which was extremly embarassing.

Luckily we used the hotel as just a base,as did a lot of others.

Food hygeine left a lot to be desired we observed one of the chefs to wipe the grill with a cloth that he threw down then later to wipe his hands on the same cloth proir to handling both raw and cooked foods all this without washing his hands. Raw food was left uncovered and exposed to the elements.

The location was on the outskirts, but the road into the resort is for a long way unlit and would be unnerving for a lone person or female with children.

Staff apart from desk staff were scruffy and looked in need of a good wash, entertainment third rate and childish all in all a bad experience.

To call this a 4A property one can only imagine they mean 4 out of 100.

We had a great time at the Club Aquarium, it is spotless the maid was in every day.

It is located at the back end of the village and has fantastic views; it has two pools which are connected by a slide. The pool bar is located at the bottom pool and has glass panels so you can see the top pool, get your kids to dive down and take a photo just like an Aquarium..hence the name.

The staff are great, Alex at the reception was ace, if you needed any thing ask Alex and she would sort it. If you wanted some entertainment you had to get on the shuttle bus and go to the sister hotel the grand aquarium...to be honest I thought it dire but they tried which is better than nothing. We had a few meals at the club and the grand and thought the food was very nice in deed....not much else to say other than we will return there sooner rather than later...Gavin.

Arrived 5.30 in morning got allocated ground floor 2nd block great view of Icmeler. Rooms were what I was wanting clean, nice size and beds were quite comfy.

Location is a 5 to 10 min walk into town, tried too walk back when a little tipsy got lost had too head back into town and return in taxi, after couple of days found our bearings no problem after that.

Hotel staff are excellent as are the cleaners they leave your room spotless.

On arrival you get a wrist band too add credit for drink etc I recommend go down too supermarket and get some booze in as you go through a mint putting credit on.

Karaoke in sister hotel Grand Aquarium was a laugh. Spoke too a lot of fellow guests round pool area etc and all were very happy with accommodation.

I recommend this place and I'll be back.

Firstly when you arrive at Club Aquarium you’re met at the front of the building where staff help with luggage etc,

Good start. You are then taken to the reception which is very very small and are asked to fill out details in a form, I must say at 05.30 in the morning I wasn’t that enthusiastic about this as I was 3rd in the queue and the previous 2 people took nearly 15 minutes to complete the form. Fortunately their were only 10 people behind me I dread to think how long they had to wait to get to bed after the long journey.

On first appearance the apartments are well looked after and cleaned every single day of the week this included Towels and all bed Linen, Air conditioning costs £20 for 1 week or you can get it free for 6 selected hours during the day for a £20 refundable deposit,

The bad point here is that you only get one key for the Electric and this key cannot be removed from your front door key which is also attached, So when you go out you cannot leave the Air conditioning on, which to me defeats the purpose of having it, I found staff very helpful at all times.

My only problem was that the Barman asked me if I would buy him a drink and every time I purchased a drink he took one also, so other guests beware of this.

Lovely hotel, lovely location a little hilly when you have had a few or in the heat of the day but taxis are cheep and a lot of the bars/resteraunts will pick up and drop you off.

The rooms were small but spotlessly cleaned and the towells were laid out in a different design every day.

Breakfast was poor and you had to wait around to get it and didn't always get what you ordered this was awkward as we were leaving early most days for trips, the morning staff were a bit lax and didnt speak english very well, Yasim (bar staff) was great in afternoons and evenings he did speak english and was helpful and entertaining he also arranged the few entertainment nights that were on offer.

Staff provided a taxi service to and from the sister hotel Grand Aquarium which had nightly entertainment, the hotel was small but had lovely views and a breeze from the mountins behind because of its small size residents were friendly and regularly met up in the pool bar at the end of the evening a very relaxing and enjoyable stay the only downside was getting breakfast we would definitely go back.

We have just returned from Club Aquarium after our first visit to Turkey. The Club Aquarium Apartments are suituated at one side of the village and are a short walk (which is down hill) to the bars and restaraunts that are on the main strip. A taxi back up the hill is cheap for those less energetic, less able or less sober!

The apartments were great, we were in the bottom of the first block, room 2 and at first we thought we had been given the worst room in the apartments as there was no view at all from our terrace other than the path that other guests used to access the other blocks - that said when it was time to put our baby down for her nap, this room was perfect, there was no noise from the pool (it was never excessive anyway).

The pool was great, there are 2 pools on different levels and twice daily a slide is activated linking hte two......you should have seen their little faces when it came on, they were sliding down on their knees, tummy, backwards and in tandem.......I am talking about the parents, the children were pretty entertained too.

The bar is shelered under the top level pool and there are windows into the pool so you can take some great pictures of your loved ones underwater - there are plenty of tables to sit at but the sunbeds can be tight on busy days. As will all hotels, there is the problem of towels being laid out very early but Airtours support a policy where if towels are left unattended, they can be removed.

The Turkish staff were excellent, and the evening meals were good value for money the ones we had were great. There is the option to use the facilities at the sister hotel, Grand Aquarium but this is a louder more brash complex which we only visited once.

Upon arrival you are allocated a wrist band whcih you 'charge' with credit and use instead of cash - we found it convenient and had no disputes with over payment at all.

The appartments were very clean and the maids left fresh flowers on the bed most days, linen was changed every day and nothing was too much trouble.

Although it was about a 10-15 min walk to the centre of Icmeler, it was a pleasant stroll and a taxi only cost about 5 ytl, the train came past every half hour and only cost 1.5 ytl.

There wasn't much entertainment on but if you needed it there was the sister hotel with plenty happening.

You put money on a wristband and when you got a drink or food just show the wristband and the money was deducted from it, this was a good idea as you need not carry money around all day.

After staying in different hotel in 2005 we realised what an exellent place the club aquarium is compared to a lot of hotels.

My husband and I had never travelled to Turkey before, but I can say with total confidence that after our 2 week holiday in May it is now top of our list!

Club Aquarium itself is in a great position, overlooking the rest of Icmeler from the top of a small hill. All the apartments face towards the sea, with magnificent hills on the right, the town in the middle, and the road leading to Marmaris on the left. Although it is not 'right on the beach' transport is not a problem, with taxis easily ordered from reception - average fare to centre of Icmeler about £2.50 - or the very popular 'tractor train', which runs about every 45 mins, but can be heard coming for at least 10!

The apartments are nicely furnished, with enough bowls, knives, forks etc for four people. You are advised to bring/buy washing up liquid and tea towels, as these are not provided. The apartments are efficiently cleaned every day and the bedding is changed 2-3 times a week. As we travelled at the start of the season, we didn't use the air-conditioning (available at an extra charge - but not cheap!) but by the end of the holiday we were beginning to feel the end for it.

The grounds of Club Aquarium are beautiful, and there seems to be a member of staff working on them every minute of the day!

The pool is divided into an upper/lower level, with a water slide which is turned on for 30 mins twice a day connecting them. The pools are quite deep though, and with no shallow ends are not suitable for very young children.

The staff are very friendly, and with only 25 apartments, take a real interest in the guests. The service is quick and efficient, the beer is good and dirt cheap, the food menu may be a bit limited, but the food itself is good and cooked to order.

The Airtour reps were a bit distant after the initial welcome meeting, but with all the staff speaking good English any problems would not have to wait for them to be solved.

The 'castaway' excursion is well worth going on, we loved it so much the first week we went again on the second! The shop keepers in both Icmeler and Marmaris can be a bit hard to take at times, but their banter is well meant and is easily ignored.

Anyway, that is enough from me. Anyone who may be feeling a bit timid about going to Turkey should not be - unlike in Spain, the locals are still pleased to see you (how much longer will it last?) The weather is beautiful, the scenery is beautiful, and the ginger cat at the Club Aquarium is also beautiful! If anyone is going there, please give him a pat from me!
