| said: We travelled to Palma Nova in January 2007 to stay for three nights at the Balear Beach Apartments. When the taxi driver has not heard of the place you are staying in, it does not fill you with confidence. Then when you eventually get there more by luck than anything else you are presented with a tatty note stuck on the door of the apartments instructing you to pick up your keys from a shop across the street, you then get there to find it is being gutted by builders, you then have to ring a phone number supplied with your confirmation details. Eventually someone turns up and lets you in and give you the keys to the apartment.
I wish they had never bothered as the apartment we had can only be described as a S**thouse, the place was filthy, and extremely run down, the doors to the patio were practically hanging off. I was travelling with my Wife and six month old daughter and we booked this apartment as self catering would have been more flexible than a hotel. Any way we lasted thirty minutes in this place and walked along the beach to the Santa Lucia hotel to see if there was any room at the inn, fortunately for us there was and we got a proper room in a proper hotel.
It had a reception, cleaners, a bar, and everything, the place was well maintained and even had carpets in your room, Imagine our delight after the nightmare of our thirty minutes in the Balear Beach.
I know when people read these reviews that you always get differences in opinion over certain things like the food was terrible, or the reps were half wits. But I cannot stress this point enough. DO NOT STAY AT THE BALEAR BEACH APARTMENTS IN PALMA NOVA, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. HONEST THE PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE....

| said: Great location right on the beach but a little too close to Magaluf nightlife if you wish for a quiet stay.
As there is no reception, upon arrival you have to ring a telephone number which is displayed on the front of the building which can be a little daunting but in reality is no problem, or if open, go to a shop across the road.
Pepe at the bike hire shop next door is helpful.
